Bloons TD 6 v35.1 - Update & Patch Notes!
Resolved an issue where Glue Rat had taken over the patch notes (again)
Update: Bloons TD 6 v35.1 - Patch Notes!
Available now for all platforms please restart your storefront or be patient if it does not appear for you, these updates can take some time to be rolled out to every region due to how the storefronts are set up.
Tower & Event Fixes
  • Resolved an issue that could cause some events to not display their shortcut on the main menu
  • Resolved a crash that could occur when opening CT Team Store with no CT running
  • Resolved some inconsistencies with Boss Checkpoints
  • Resolved an issue that could count Dreadbloon’s timer incorrectly after boss death
  • Resolved a crash that could occur using Necromancer Wizard Monkeys
  • Resolved an issue with xx2 Banana Farms not visually recording to their cash earned counter if it was not manually collected
Dark Dungeons Map Fixes
Note: we’re aware of some people's desire to ‘buff the statue’ however this would only be disappointing as there are just no buffs we have in the game that would actually have any impact on it if they were to apply; as it has huge base damage, no attack rate, no abilities, infinite pierce, infinite range & infinite lifespan. It is partly for this reason that we instead opted to give it higher tier upgrades instead of leaving it as a single base upgrade like the Cave Monkey.
  • Resolved a number of cases in which towers could target the Dark Dungeons statue for buffs even though they would not do anything.
  • Dark Dungeons statue can no longer be selected as a Door Gunner target as with the range it has this only served to destroy it
General Fixes
  • Resolved a softlock that could occur when proceeding to main menu on a deleted account
  • Resolved a jukebox related crash that could occur
  • Resolved a trophy store related crash that could occur
  • Resolved an IMF Loan related crash that could occur
Platform Specific
  • Epic: Users can now edit their names
  • Epic: Resolved a rare crash that could occur logging in
  • Apple Arcade: Resolved an issue with incorrect team names being displayed

New Awesome

  • New Hero Skin: Kaiju Pat
    • The Bloons are already frightened by Pat’s immense stature, so wait until they encounter his monstrous Kaiju form! Art team inspiration made this one come to life, and yes it does feel great in co-op games with Sentai Churchill. And in High Finance! Kaiju Pat plays even better with Big Monkey Towers, so if you don’t have that in your main menu Settings Extras, this is a great excuse to go get the Chunky Monkey Achievement.
  • 2 New Maps
    • Middle of the Road - is it wrong that we like the desert ghost town setting? Somewhere before the End of the Road, this beginner map takes the Bloons on a good long mosey around town.
    • Dark Dungeons - this community designed 200k Reddit competition winner certainly lives up to the challenge of making a hard map. Added to the Expert category, we changed the proportions for gameplay, riffed on the statue idea, and added traps as any dungeon needs but hopefully did justice to the inspired original submission by u/Lars_Overwick.
  • New Trophy Store Items
    • Heroes: Biker Bones Infernal Rift placement & upgrade animation - we had fun with this one!
    • Monkeys: Sniper Chameleon pet, no camouflaging that cuteness!
    • Game & UI: Banner 26 - Glue Storm banner, Avatar 69 Bloonarius, Avatar 70 Studious Patch, Avatar 71 Just A Little Monkey, Avatar 72 Happy Banana Farmer
  • Competition Winning items
  • New CT Team Store items
    • Base Props: Cosy Beanbag Monkey
    • Icons: Year of the Rabbit icon, Buzzy Bee icon
    • Frames: Year of the Rabbit frame, A Kiwi Summer frame

Game Changes / Additions

  • Round 100 & every 100 rounds Instamonkey rewards now reflect the game mode for Primary/Military/Magic only modes, granting an instamonkey for that same category. We’re still looking for more ways to focus instamonkey rewards, and we’re hoping this helps improve some collections
  • Boss Speed/Health edits have event modifier icons
  • From v35 onwards a pseudo-offline mode can now be selected to continue playing if you are unable to update to the latest game version - this has been a much requested feature so we’re pleased that it’s in!
  • Added ‘Damage Done To Bosses’ profile stat
  • Added Jukebox shuffle option to the in-game pause menu, also with jukebox enabled songs are now shuffled once on entering a map and stay in that new order until you exit and start a new game - another much requested feature and we love it, too, so keep up the feedback, it really does help!
  • Added a spicy new indicator to the main menu background for when a boss event is active - so spice
  • Added a Retry Last Round ‘continue’ option for CT & Boss for a MM cost with no bonus cash granted.
  • Improved co-op stability - this was on our list for later this year but we were able to dedicate time to it now and from our testing have improved the game experience in normal gameplay and Boss Events, so we look forward to feedback here. Note there is still a slowdown issue that can occur, so if your game does appear to be running slowly especially with fast forward on, try turning FF off and on again to see if it stabilizes at the correct speed. We know that sounds like an IT support joke, but don’t tell us you don’t do this regularly on your own device/rig. Anyway, hoping you’ll see co-op stability improvement, and we’ll keep working on more stability and to fix that slowdown!

Engineer
  • 1xx Sentries will again correctly place on Covered Gardens
  • xx4 Bloontrap should benefit correct from xx3 Village’s cash increase
  • xx4 Bloontrap cash earned stat in all game modes should now account for Half Cash/ CHIMPS / cash that would have been earned from the base pop
Obyn Greenfoot

Etienne
  • Resolved a rare crash that could occur with Etienne’s Drone Swarm
Geraldo
  • Resolved some visual issues with dart monkeys converted to super monkeys by worn heroes cape

Platform Specific fixes

  • Steam: Game no longer crashes when spamming the ESC key from the trophy store

Balance Changes

Dart Monkey
As an already highly niche tower, adding a little more niche than 'just ceramics' by helping Ultra-Juggernaut with a small amount of endgame DDT AoE. Also, we’re already fairly happy with the SMFC abilities, but at T4 it feels clunky and outdated that the ability can only influence a max of 10 dart monkeys at a time when casting the ability multiple times in quick succession from multiple T4s so we are removing that limitation. We discussed whether the SMFC change would reduce the specificity of which Monkeys are affected but the benefits seemed greater, so we’ll be looking for feedback from folks who enjoy dart multitude builds.
  • 5xx Ultra-Juggernaut mini-balls ceramic damage bonus increased 2 > 3
  • 5xx Ultra Juggernaut main projectile now deals bonus damage to lead +20
  • x4x SMFC multiple simultaneous ability uses is no longer limited to 10 maximum conversions
Bomb Shooter
Upon closer inspection, Recursive Cluster has been hitting pierce of many 100s, far more than was really intended for it so we are pulling back on this (still in the 100s) but adding in some fortified bonus to cancel out this large weakness the upgrade has.
  • xx4 Recursive Cluster second cluster pierce multiplier x6 > x3
  • xx4 Recursive Cluster gains bonus damage to Fortified +1
  • xx5 Bomb Blitz gains bonus damage to Fortified +5
Glue Gunner
We were unsure this rework would make it in at all until late and didnt want to mess around too much further before release, so we plan to make further refinements to the numbers in order to bring power properly in line with what we would like - however the long awaited mechanic rework for Relentless & Super Glue is here and we feel it is a promising start. Relentless Glue now brings some AoE stun on layer popping and glue track puddles has been reworked into a dps enhancement for the top path Bloon Solver instead of a hyper niche bottom path stalling bonus (the more ceramics the merrier!). Glue Gunner has also had a number of price changes aimed at improving the middle path / crosspathing while avoiding improving MOAB Glue. We’ve already found interesting uses for the top path change so keen to hear about your cool use cases.
  • 5xx The Bloon Solver upon destroying a Bloon now drops puddles of acid on the track that deal 1 pierce of 20 damage to whatever hits it (we will likely lower damage but increase pierce to help improve crosspathing of the pools)
  • x2x Glue Splatter price reduced from $1800 > 1650
  • x3x Glue Hose price reduced from $2900 > 2500
  • x4x Glue strike price reduced from $3850 > 3450
  • x5x Glue Storm duration increased from 15s -> 20
  • xx1 Stickier Glue price increased from 120 > 280
  • xx4 Relentless Glue no longer drops any puddles on the track
  • xx4 Relentless Glue on any glued layer popping stuns Bloons (non-moabs) in the area with a small splat (pierce 3, radius 12, 0.5s duration)
  • xx5 Super Glue on any glued layer popping stuns any Bloons or MOABs in the area with a small splat (pierce 3, radius 12, 0.5s duration)
Sniper Monkey
While there is some level of strategic placement to the 420 crosspath, Maim MOAB has high effectiveness for unlimited range slowing without any necessary spam use so is seeing a small price increase with a larger reduction on the T5 cost. Bouncing bullet synergises too effectively with some buffs too early, and we don’t want to raise the price here and make the saveup from T2 to 3 any more tedious so the number of bounces is going down but remaining unchanged at T4. Full Auto Rifle gains 1 more MOAB damage bonus to improve it as a stepping stone into the T5.
  • 4xx Maim MOAB price increased from $5000 > 5400
  • 5xx Cripple MOAB price reduced from $34,000 > 32,000
  • x3x Bouncing Bullets bounce pierce 4 -> 3
  • x4x Supply Drop bounce pierce remains 4 (unchanged)
  • xx4 Full Auto Rifle moab bonus increased from 1 > 2
  • xx5 Elite Defender moab bonus remains at 2
Monkey Sub
You guys seem to think this would be nice, so here it is.
  • x5x First Strike main ballistic attack splash radius increased from 18 > 24
Monkey Buccaneer
You asked for it (and we’ve always wanted it), so … our first Paragon Synergy!
  • Navach of the Seas buff to Monkey Ace attack speed now applies to the Goliath Doomship
Monkey Ace
While we wanted to initially ensure general farming achievability of the (still very high) price compared to how good we actually felt the Doomship was due to the target goal of giving it an intentional ability niche and the jump it would be as most expensive paragon, but after seeing the results of its power we're happy to take this up now
  • Goliath Doomship price increased from $800,000 > 900,000
Heli Pilot
ComCom is both lacking in pierce damage, and favors the 105 crosspath more than we’d like. This goal for this change is to improve the overall single target power for the missile AoE without such a high pierce number, with only a smaller damage buff for the main darts so existing pierce benefits that can be applied for the main attack remain valuable
  • xx4 Comanche Defense missile pierce reduced from 100 > 80
  • xx5 Comanche Commander dart damage 3 > 4
  • xx5 Comanche Commander missile damage 3 > 7
  • xx5 Comanche Commander missile moab bonus 2 > 5
  • xx5 Comanche Commander mini's missile dmg 2 > 5
  • xx5 Comanche Commander mini's missile moab bonus 2 > 5
Dartling Gunner
While admittedly difficult to handle at T3, the recent changes made to attempt to give Buckshot an easier growth into BADS overall backfired and were a failure. Looking back, the difficult T3 required attention but was still not bad if used correctly and the improved handling at T4 was far worth this effort in the end. That seemed fine enough before and we don't like how it has ended up so walking those changes back. We have to admit when we miss and thanks for continued discussion on bottom path.
  • xx3 Buckshot pierce reduced from 6 > 4
  • xx4 BADS cost reduced $16000 > $12000
  • xx5 BEZ cost increased $54000 > $58000
Wizard Monkey
Arcane Spike is seeing 1 damage shifted from MOAB bonus to regular damage to improve layer skipping issues. Dragon’s Breath range is being fixed to actually match the tower radius, but now xx2 crosspath will also improve range and can bring it back to what it was. Necromancer strategies are very dependent on where your Zombie Bloons spawn which would enable more strategies with more range, but then too much range is very harmful making the spawn location difficult to place & forcing you to often place these towers in silly locations which makes the shimmer not work well. Allowing Necro to select a spawn point addresses this issue and we hope provides some interesting micro uses, so please share any cool ones.
  • 4xx Arcane Spike damage increased 5 > 6
  • 4xx Arcane Spike moab bonus reduced 11 > 10
  • x3x Dragon's Breath flame attack matches tower range properly > 40
  • xx2 Monkey Sense increases wizard range from 40 > 50
  • xx3 Shimmer range remains unchanged at 60
  • xx4 Necromancer gains a spawn point target for zombies that the player can set
Super Monkey
We want the base Super Monkey to feel like more of a ‘weak for the cost’ stepping stone into T3s that feel more like T4s; but the base upgrade really does feel very outdated on this idea, and big crosspath problems exist due to this so we are moving some attack speed out from 2xx into the base upgrade. Robo path T3 feels a little too expensive compared to bottom path’s, and the T5’s ability doesn’t feel like enough of a step up from T4 for the much greater cost it has so some adjustments are also being made here, as after all this is Super Monkey, right?
  • 000 Base attack speed increased from 0.06s > 0.045
  • 2xx Plasma Blasts attack speed remains the same 0.045 > 0.03
  • x3x Robo Monkey price decreased $8000 > 7000
  • x5x Ability damage increased from 5200 > 10400
  • x5x Ability crit damage increased from 7,800 > 15,600
  • x5x Ability pierce reduced to 2000
Ninja Monkey
Ninja's x5x ability side-benefit of buffing all x3x ninja doesn't quite pack enough punch
  • x5x Grand Sabo buff range bonus increased 5 > 10
  • x5x Grand Sabo buff moab bonus increased 1 > 2
Alchemist
Permanent Brew is strong in the right use, but just to let it live up to more of its potential without requiring a chinook we are improving its range. Transforming Tonic has been compared to being a worse but more expensive Turbo Charge, and that seems like a fair complaint. T5 has good niche uses, but T4 isn't worth the cost right now so we’re adding more juice to the tonic.
  • 5xx Permabrew range increased 45 > 65
  • x4x Transformation transformed alchemist damage 2 > 3
Druid
Many people seem to feel that moving to a big damage bonus on the basic main attack has lost this tower's identity in the vines. We are reworking this a little, with the main attack & Bramble piles having their damage contributions tweaked to have value over multiple x4xs but not far exceeding them on the main attack anymore, and the main actual increase in DPS output is being shifted into the small center track vine damage zone in hopes of making placement more impactful.
  • x5x Spirit of the Forest base attack damage reduced from 20 > 6
  • x5x Spirit of the Forest bramble vine refresh rate increased from 0.3s > 0.1
  • x5x Spirit of the Forest bramble vine lifespan increased from 4.5s > 9
  • x5x Spirit of the Forest closest track ring moab/ceram bonus 20 > 30
Banana Farm
For sake of consistency we want Monkey Bank to increase in cash generation when used with sources that externally buff generation so everything works as expected, however along with this buff the current power of IMF loan on this path already feels too strong so we are lowering that power for IMF Loan in exchange.
  • x3x Monkey Bank will now increase in cash generation with external buffs
  • x4x IMF Loan cash granted $10,000 > 9000
  • Backroom Deals monkey knowledge IMF Loan bonus cash reduced from 2000 > 1000
  • xx5 Monkey Wall Street range increased from 40 > 60
Spike Factory
Spiked Mines explosion radius doesn’t hit too much since it’s almost always centered just in front of the ‘first bloon in a pack’ to hit it in most effective use cases, and Super Mines price is coming down a little to pull it slightly forward into more challenge viability. We also felt like a massive ceramic bonus on Super Mines could both help it annihilate super ceramics, and give it fun niche uses against ceramics in general for challenges and Bosses. Carpet of Spikes still fails to see love over multiple T4's, so rather than making it cheaper we like an all-round increase to the MOAB bonus.
  • 4xx spiked mines explosion radius increased 19 > 30
  • 5xx Super Mines small explosion radius increased 20 > 30
  • 5xx Super Mines price reduced from $150,000 -> 125,000
  • 5xx Super Mines DoT damage increased from 500 > 1000
  • 5xx Super Mines spikes ceramic bonus 20 > 30
  • 5xx Super Mines mini explode ceramic bonus 10 > 15
  • 5xx Super Mines big explode ceramic bonus 0 > 500
  • x5x Carpet of Spikes base attack moab bonus 4 > 5
  • x5x Carpet of Spikes passive ability moab bonus 4 > 5
  • x5x Carpet of Spikes ability moab bonus 4 > 5
Monkey Village
Village Call To Arms doesn't have a place in current high level meta gameplay as grouped clusters of equal towers are never really ideal. As it stands, the village radius is not a large enough area to get lots of benefit to all of the towers that you would be spreading out and maintain any uptime on them. A seemingly huge change but perhaps not in practical use, so we will be looking for feedback on this and whether this reduces placement skill or the need for multiple Villages.
  • x4x Call to Arms ability influence increased from Radius > Map
Engineer
Sentry Champion’s pierce crosspath does not feel like it has enough of an edge to compete with the deconstruction crosspath. Engineer Ultraboost is limited to viable use in high-farming situations due to its cost, and while the buff is great when applied to strong towers, we find it too expensive for an upgrade that only adds a buff to other towers, especially in games where cost is the primary focus.
  • 501 Sentry Champion turret pierce increased 6 > 7
  • x5x Ultraboost price reduced from $105,000 > 72,000
Gwendolin
For now with a noteworthy direct comparison to Brickell and the use cases for these two heroes we have done a price swap keeping the lesser of the two at the lower price point. However as 750 would put gwen on the same cost as Striker Jones and we want starts with base 4 heroes to stay more diverse we have taken her down a little extra on top of that.
  • Gwendolin price reduced from $900 > 725
Captain Churchill
As the upper end of heroes have crept up and up for awhile now, we want to reign in some of these top heroes slowly. Church’s pierce at all levels is going down to make his absolute coverage of ceramic children harder
  • Lv1 Pierce per explosion reduced from 15 > 12
Pat Fusty
Since his addition to the game Pat Fusty has been a very strong top tier hero between his powerful roar buff and ability to stall large groups of strong targets for a long time. This feels slightly out of hand (couldn’t resist), so we’re taking his slap attack’s pierce down at all levels to reduce this stalling potential without changing the buff.
  • Lv5 Slap knockback pierce reduced from 10 > 8
  • Lv15 Slap knockback pierce reduced from 20 > 16
Admiral Brickell
Brickell has shown exceptional high level performance, while not fitting in as any intended strong early solo carry. Her base cost has been increased so she won’t come into early play, and Lv20 Mega Mine is having its damage taken down to not quite decimate late game somuch. In return she will have much more pierce, and as it is mainly a niche utility we also want Blast Chain to be available more often.
  • Admiral Brickell price increased from $750 > 900
  • Lv7 Blast Chain ability cooldown reduced from 60s > 45
  • Lv20 Brickell Mega Mine damage reduced from 15,000 > 11,000
  • Lv20 Brickell Mega Mine pierce increased from 100 > 150
Psi
Psi felt too easily able to keep up with early waves given their strong endgame, and given the improved attack rate was then unchanged from level 2 to 20, we have shuffled around the Lv2 and Lv5 upgrades to address this. Psi from Lv5 onwards is unchanged from before.
  • Lv2 No longer increases attack speed from 1 > 0.85
  • Lv2 Now increases Bloon destruction rate from 0.2 > 0.15
  • Lv5 No longer increases Bloon destruction rate from 0.2 > 0.15
  • Lv5 Now increases attack speed from 1 > 0.85
Geraldo
We just wanted to give some QoL
  • For quality of life all of Geraldo’s temporary buff effects will now display buff icons to their applied tower with stack count numbers representing their remaining round durations.
Lych Boss
We feel like the T3 Lych health/difficulty sticks out as a larger obstacle compared to other bosses, and other tiers of Lych, so we are lowering the multiple T3 health values
  • T3 Lych HP reduced 245000 > 220,000
  • T3 Mini Lych HP reduced 7900 > 7000
  • T3 Elite Lych HP reduced 1,200,000 > 1,100,000
  • T3 Elite Mini Lych HP reduced 27,000 > 25,000
Bloonarius Boss
Elite Bloonarius’ ‘bleed’ Bloons effect becomes heavily outscaled in the higher elite tiers, dissolving into the stratosphere before having any meaningful impact. To correct, we are improving the types of Bloons that come out at these points to maintain appropriate Bossness.
  • T4 Elite Bloonarious bleed changed 25 ceramics > 12 moabs
  • T5 Elite Bloonarious bleed changed MOABs > DDTs
Dreadbloon Boss
The forced slowdown of Dreadbloon during the ceramic shielded phase has caused a lot more games to end due to running out of time, with average players seeing this as a rest period. We are reducing the amount of slowdown at all tiers to raise up the threat level more in this phase.
  • All Normal Tiers slow amount during shield 0.2 > 0.3
  • All Elite Tiers slow amount during shield 0.2 > 0.35

Looking Forward

New Zealand has had a heck of a start to the year, with record breaking rain that brought flooding to large parts of Auckland and Cyclone Gabrielle then tearing through two weeks later. Ninja Kiwi’s Auckland office was again flooded, so the BTD6 team is back working from home and yet again delivering updates under exceptional circumstances. We are weary and wary of work from home after Covid lockdowns, but we continue to hope for remnants of southern hemisphere summer and to put all of our creative energy into great updates and new features, so we hope you enjoy update 35.0 and are excited about what’s ahead.
As we said last year, this is our planning, not our promises. We’ve started the year with even more granular planning with wider input across the team, and still things won’t always pan out. We appreciate your patience and understanding when that happens!
  • Update 36.0
    • Beast Handler: we’ve done a major revamp to the Beast Handler’s UI and beast mechanics for ease of use - still in deep testing and balancing
    • Quest System: making its debut for Beast Handler’s unlock, plus additional story quests if time
    • Polyphemus map: tying in with both Beast Handler and Lotus Island; Monkdysseus’ journey continues!
  • Wizard Paragon
    • It is simply too much art and testing to put a new Monkey Tower and a new Paragon into the same update, so Wizard must wait until update 37.0; we know you have been waiting ages for this but the concept art on this is worth it!
  • Map Editor
    • Great progress already underway on this, with placeable objects and water terrain already working
    • Scoping this for an Octoberish release so we have most of the year on it
  • Console
    • Work from home is having the biggest impact on console but we are making progress toward Xbox submission, with PlayStation following closely
  • Other Goals
    • New Hero: several ideas in consideration here, for the latter part of the year
    • Paragons: one more after Wizard Magus Perfectus
    • Bosses: one new Boss plus new victory conditions like Least Tiers and Least Cash to mix up the focus of play (and yes arbitration of ties)
    • Teams: one new event, with a completely different cadence and feel to Contested Territories, based on aggregated damage
    • Contested Territories: adding themes to CT events, to lean further into certain rules, Bloons, and/or maps
    • Creators: looking to expand the Nexus program to more creators in the front half of this year

Bloonarius Prime CHIMPS - Admiral Kryten strategy
(There's some admiral with a name like that who famously arrived very late to a battle, but I can't find any references so I can get the spelling right - any help appreciated! The reference is because this build gets a very late hero.)
I love sub spam strats, particularly using the 250 sub. Since land placements on this map aren't great (not many places can cover both tracks), I went for subs.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2937116356
6 dart left of the sinkhole, set to last. Sniper top centre, it should be able to see the left exit. 8 sub, bottom right corner of left pond 10 sub, top pond 11 upgrade sniper to 100 and set to strong 13 upgrade top sub to 200 15 upgrade bottom sub to 100 16 upgrade bottom sub to 200 18-19 upgrade dart to 022 20 add a second dart monkey right of sinkhole (it provides just enough cheap firepower to cope until crossbow) 21 upgrade dart to 023 ASAP, enable camo priority 26 Brickell
Make two more subs, one in each pond. Upgrade the top subs to 220 and bottom ones to 202. Upgrade first dart to 024. Upgrade both 202 subs to 203.
43 add a wizard (unupgraded) bottom right as a spotter
From here upgrade the top pond subs to 230 and add four more 230 subs in the left pond, tightly packed.
48 ice monkey, upgrade to 042 50-51 upgrade wizard to 022 Get a village -> 020 -> 220. Upgrade 203 subs to 204. Upgrade wizard to 042. Upgrade the 230 sub nearest where the alch will go to 240.
71 use snowstorm 73 use snowstorm 78 use naval tactics (NT) as required On 79 and 81+ use any and all abilities as required. (First strike on the first fortified BFB on 79 works well) 84 upgrade sub to 250 ASAP
Get a 401 alch.
89 is the hardest level. Use phoenix immediately, NT when BFBs spawn. Save snowstorm for when remaining moabs/ceramics are at the bottom, where the left-hand subs can see them. Continue to use abilities as required on 91, 92, 94.
94 upgrade a sub to 205
The rest plays itself - just spam 230 subs everywhere and watch the two tier 5 subs make a mockery of everything, even 98 :-)
With that, I've now black bordered every intermediate map! (Had all the beginner maps too, until the new one came, but that won't take long to fix.)

Bloons TD 6 v35.0 - Update Notes!

Glue Rat.

Update: Bloons TD 6 v35.0 - Update Notes!
Available now for iOS, Android, Steam (PC + Mac), Epic and Arcade please restart your storefront or be patient if it does not appear for you, these updates can take some time to be rolled out to every region due to how the storefronts are set up.
Update video: https://youtu.be/zWyCqR1juZA

Upon closer inspection, Recursive Cluster has been hitting pierce in the 100’s, far more than was really intended for it so we are pulling back on this but adding in some fortified bonus to cancel out this large weakness the upgrade has.
  • x2x Glue Splatter price reduced from $1800 > 1650
  • x3x Glue Hose price reduced from $2900 > 2500
  • x4x Glue strike price reduced from $3850 > 3450
  • x5x Glue Storm duration increased from 15s -> 20
  • x3x Bouncing Bullets bounce pierce 4 -> 3
  • 5xx Super Mines price reduced from $150,000 -> 125,000

Looking Forward for 2023

2023.01.21 04:08 Nintronic_18 Modified BMC Mobile Tiles in relation to custom boss rounds in BTD6

When playing boss mode in BTD6, some rounds are completely different depending on what boss you fight. They all some relation of what you come across when capturing some tiles in BMC (Bloons Monkey City) mobile that involve different bloon strategies (Ex. Camo Craziness, Cash Starve, Regrow Rush of Death, etc).
Here's my take on it (Reply for any mistakes):
Bloonarius: Cluster Chaos/Round Ramp
Gravelord Lych: MOAB Push
Vortex: Fast & Furious
Dreadbloon: Hard & Heavy

2023.01.09 16:19 Djelaylay best strategy for elite bloonarius?

Mostly looking for farming tips but if anyone has other tips that would be great!

2022.12.10 23:18 rivyboi i actually enjoyed dreadbloon :)

normally i HATE bosses (except bloonarius <3) because i'm not great at micro or getting anything up quickly. bosses like lych or vortex are very dependent on micro and frame perfect placements, which makes normal hard and elite impossible. but dreadbloon was actually fun because i had to plan out which types of towers i was placing, how to do the most damage, and how i was buffing them. it was easy in the sense that i didn't have to micro, but it was difficult to navigate the strategy of it, which is perfect for people like me who can't micro. all in all, great job nk :)

2022.12.08 16:22 kcobra12 Thoughts on what Dreadbloon is going to do to the meta?

Alright. Every boss has its own submeta. The meta for all bosses is "money." No one can dispute that. Get some money, sell your farms, get good tower for boss, kill boss, sell good tower, get more farms. With Bloonarius, pierce and crowd control are the important stats. Lych forces players to overcome lifesteal and play without villages, overclocks, and alchs. Vortex's strategy changes based on the map, but for the most part it's about high damage from a long range. However, Dreadbloon imposes a fairly interesting mechanic of having lead properties, so Tack Zone, 0-1-5 Avatar of Wrath, and some other common towers are out as early-game options. 2-0-5 Elite Defender might still be a good T1 option, but what next? You'd need either a buttload of alchs or a MIB, which tacks on a decent chunk of money to the required price. The rock bloons forcing target priority will also be interesting. However, the biggest change is the rotating immunity. For T4 and T5 Elite, multiple paragons will be needed. The meta will have to change significantly to incorporate this. Most tutorials for bosses involve getting a low-degree APM for T3, selling it, then getting either a VTSG, a high-degree Doomship, Navarch, Ascended, Master Builder, or some combination. However, the rotating immunity means that unless NK gave it a pathetic amount of health, a tower from each category will be needed. Think about T1. Elite Defender, Ultra-Jugg, and Sticky Bomb. I'm concerned that high tier Elite bosses might have immunity to multiple categories at once. What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments.

2022.12.07 10:30 Binsento Need a strategy for Bloonarius Prime and Bazaar on Hard

I have completed all the Beginner and Intermediate map on Easy, Normal and Hard, except for the 2 mentioned in the title. I tried it with Sauda and Obyn using mostly water towers and the Alchemist/Ninja combo at the crossroads. It all seems to hold perfectly without any balloons going through until my defenses completely fail somewhere in the final 10 waves.

New Awesome
General Changes/Additions
Contested Territory Changes
Boss Changes
Bug Fixes
Balance Changes
Dart Monkey
Ultra Juggernaut is a in a bad spot in the meta right now and we seek to make it relevant in something other that races.
Bomb Shooter
Frags got a good buff, but it wasn't very good.
Tack Shooter
Inferno Ring has proven to be too powerful after the metor buff. A small change should balance it out.
Glue Gunner
While good at what it does, the top path often gets outshone by cheaper options.
Sniper Monkey
Snipers in general are a very good tower and have been dominating the meta ever since the shrapnel buff. They definently overperform for their cost and need a nerf.
Monkey Buccaneer
We really did over-buff Pirate Lord late update. Time to fix that.
Monkey Ace
Reverting GZ pierce cap. Why was it implemented.
Dartling Gunner
Not to much to say here, other then shower thoughts.
Wizard Monkey

2022.11.20 03:53 GumbyGamer Short Farming Guide for bloonarius

(Edit : this worked for me on both normal and elite)
Since a lot of people are struggling to farm bloonarius this week here was my farming strategy that let me beat both today.
For tier one all farms you keep should be between the left 2 loops (first and second) so you get a bonus when selling. Sauda was my hero
Start by placing the free dart monkey outside the cross of the first loop and a farm between the first and second loop.
Round 3 place sauda inside to the left on the first loop
Upgrade farm to 200 as soon as possible and then get a second 200. Upgrade one to 220 and the other to 202. Before round 17 sell the 202 farm to upgrade 220 to 230
Place another farm between loops and get it to 200 asap. Place another farm and get it to 100. Before round 28 collect money from your 230 farm and upgrade the other two farms to 130 and 230. Use Saudas ability for rounds 28 and 30 to pop leads and don't forget to upgrade 130 farm to 230.
Round 29 place a boat on the left side of the middle loop so that all 3 banks and as much of loop 1 as possible will be in range. Upgrade boat to 003 then 023. Right before round *40 you should have enough to upgrade boat to 024.
Collect bank money as two should be maxed out and the other almost at 9000. Sell all three banks. At this point you should have 024 boat, Sauda, and optional 000 dart monkey which should be sold now as well if you have all monkey knowledge. I had over $40,000 at this point
In range of the boat put a a 402 village, 401 ice monkey inside loop 1 and in range of village, 205 tack shooter at the bottom of loops 1s intersection buffed by the village and a new 420 alchemist. I then place a boomerang monkey towards the back that I would upgrade to 402 as I got money.
THEN start round 40. Bloonarius was down by the end of round 42. Sell everything except Sauda and boat which should be then upgraded to 025. Now as many 003 boats as you can afford and continue into round 43.
Get to twenty 003 boats then place 024 farms. I got 7 of them down and sold 3 to afford my defense for round 60.
I can keep going if people want, but that's a pretty good start imo

Glue Gunner
While good at what it does, it often gets outshone by other cheaper methods (ignoring middle path).
Why not give Guided Magic even more value??
Alchemist
Another try at making crosspaths better. Also bottom path is ghost right now.

Boss Changes

Ranked normal has been a troublesome gamemode to balance around as restrictions have been too limiting to newer players while not strict enough for top players. As a result, we will be removing this gamemode along with all normal boss medals. Players will receive the rewards for obtaining that medal as compensation. From now on, ranked boss will be available only on Elite mode, as well as all modifiers and restrictions.
We have also decided to make a few balance changes after freeing up the restrictions on normal mode. This is to bring the previous 3 bosses level with the difficulty of Dreadbloon. More info below.

Balance Changes

Dart Monkey
Crossbow Master and Sharpshooter both seem just a little too strong for their cost so we are giving them a small bump in price and a change in the consistency of CRIT attacks.
Boomerang Monkey
We previously messed up the Glaive Lord price when inputting it, and we finally decided to fix it. MOAB Domination has still seen little use in most games so we are pushing this a little bit further in hopes that people will now see this as a viable T5 with a better saveup.
Bomb Shooter
Mauler has been hit too hard by the past changes and we are reverting the price change to make it competitive again.
Tack Shooter
The Tack Zone has proven to be far too powerful of a tower. We are pulling back its rapid attack speed but instead making it hit much harder.
Glue Gunner
The Bloon Solver’s niche has felt largely unnecessary for quite a while, so we’re turning it into a hyper MOAB specialist. We have a big Super Glue and Relentless Glue rework planned for the next update, so the clash in roles here will get fixed very Soon. Until then, let’s enjoy the brand new Blimp Solver!
Mortar Monkey
Pop and Awe is decent, but outclassed by other support and DPS options. A small push should make it strong enough to be actively used. Shattering Shells has also felt underused lately, and drags Blooncineration down because of this, so doubling its fortified damage will let it lead into Blooncineration better.
Dartling Gunner
MAD has been massively overperforming in Boss Events, even after its very significant MOAB damage reduction. It just feels like no matter what we do, it’s never enough. No matter how many overtime shifts we do, our fans are never pleased. Is this what our company has become? So desperately trying to care for its fans that we haven’t stopped to realize that none of this really matters anyways? I’m sitting here typing away at some stupid ass fake patch notes roleplaying as some dude from Ninja Kiwi having an existential crisis. I could be working towards a cure for cancer, ways to solve world hunger, or could be getting some damn sleep, but instead I’m writing this fake shpiel out, and you’re also sitting there wasting your time reading it. Anyways we’re abandoning ship and completely flipping it over into the brand new GLAD upgrade!
Lizard Monkey
We haven’t noticed any excessive strength from lizard on our part, but many of the top contested territory teams seem to have expressed their feelings on the majority of the lizard monkey’s commonly used upgrades being overpowered. To give lizard monkey a bit less of an edge over other towers, we tweaked the power levels of the upgrades mentioned on the contested territory leaderboard.
Super Monkey
True Sun God is a tower that shines in freeplay and boss events. It does incredibly well in those situations, but it doesn't come into play with CHIMPS. So to give a bit of functionality in CHIMPS, we decreased their price, but made them incredibly weaker.
Druid
Heart of Thunder is currently underperforming in the meta currently. So the best solution we came up with is to increase the pierce of the lightning. We wanted to increase the pierce a lot, but due to it causing lag, we decided to give the most minimal pierce increase available. In addition, Druid of the Jungle is still overperforming and still has no lead weakness so we have decided to make a small tweak to its usability.
Quincy
While we feel that Quincy is in a good spot for a starter Hero, his abilities are fairly difficult to time correctly and often just lead to new players picking a less ability-reliant Hero. As such, we’re removing his abilities and giving their respective levels DPS increases.
Relics
We’re aware of many issues with Relic balancing, so we’re bumping up some of the weaker Relics to be on-par with the strongest ones.
Bosses
Normal Bloonarius as of now doesn’t seem as threatening as a boss so we have upped its bloon spawns in the early tiers.
The Lych-Soul, while adding a layer of life regeneration to Boss strategies, has not been very impactful in changing how you play. As such, we’re making several changes to how it works to make it more interesting to fight.
Much of Vortex’s difficulty comes from its stun and storm shield. To make it more noticeable, its wind burst attack has been accelerated to make it a more noticeable effect.

Bloons TD 6 v33.0 - Update Preview! upcoming v33.0
Preview of what is to come in the next update! There's no confirmed release date yet, but we currently have it slated for early October. Full information on bug fixes & other changes will be detailed at the time of release.

Key New Features

art by u/PvtMagnuS
New BossDreadbloon, The Armored Behemoth
Dreadbloon makes itself (and all other bloons on the screen) immune to weakening effects, including upgrades like Shattering Shells and Embrittlement. This boss is also encased in metal armor—don't make the mistake of fighting it with regular darts!
When Dreadbloon's health reaches the first skull, it creates a ceramic shield. Until this shield is destroyed, it gains immunity to damage from all Primary monkeys, and Ceramic / Lead / MOAB-class bloons will spawn with the Fortified property. The next time it reaches a skull, its immunity shifts to Military monkeys, and so on.
In order to defeat this monstrosity, a well-rounded defense is an absolute necessity. Best of luck!

Dr. Monkey makes his debut!
You might recognize him from Bloons Supermonkey 2, but now the monkey kingdom's head scientist is making his appearance in the premier tower defense game! Make use of his outstanding Monkey Fusion technology to acquire insta-monkeys more powerful than ever before!
Dr. Monkey's tech allows you to fuse your duplicate insta-monkeys. If you have two 4-1-0 Dart Monkeys, you can fuse them together into a new form, which will randomly upgrade to either 4-2-0 or 5-1-0. And if his technology proves to be effective, perhaps one day he'll have the confidence to attempt fusing Tier 5 towers into an insta-Paragon…
Insta-monkey fusion can be very rewarding, but it also requires a large amount of EXP, especially when a fusion involves potent upgrades. Make sure to use each tower type frequently as you play, so you can earn enough experience to complete your insta-monkey collection!

New Paragons: It's our pleasure to announce the Monkey Ace and Wizard Monkey Paragons—we're pumping them full of creative juice and have decided to release them both in 33.0. Rather than describe them now, we're going to wait for the upcoming release to show exactly what they do. For now, we'll share the Paragon names, and we welcome all hype and speculation!
  • Monkey Ace: Sky Citadel
  • Wizard Monkey: Dracolich
Some of the Ace / Wizard non-Paragon mechanics have been revamped to make them more versatile and fun to use.
Monkey Ace Say goodbye to the "Centered Path" upgrade: a new upgrade called "Remote Path" has been instituted for Monkey Aces! This upgrade no longer adds a new flight path; instead, every flight path gains a re-targeting option. "Circle" behaves the way "Centered Path" did before, but "Figure Eight" & "Figure Infinite" can also be re-centered. We're hoping this will lead to greater flexibility and fun strategies.
Wizard Monkey Top path Wizard Monkeys rarely see any use of the Fireball upgrade, so from now on, the top path upgrades will improve Fireball as well. This opens up the middle path to be used for high damage against single targets and tightly-packed groups, whereas the bottom crosspath remains useful for pierce and camo detection.
  • 2-1-0 Arcane Blast: Fireball damage increased 1→2
  • 3-1-0 Arcane Mastery: Fireball damage increased 1→3, Fireball attack cooldown reduced 2.2s→1.1s
  • 4-1-0 Arcane Spike: Fireball damage increased 1→5, bonus damage to ceramics 0→10, Fireball attack cooldown reduced 2.2s→0.75s, explosion radius increased by 25%
  • 5-1-0 Archmage: all improvements to Arcane Spike carry over

New Maps – Patrol Path and Choco Road
These "new" additions are sure to delight long-time fans of the series.
We've also selected 3 user-created maps to add to the game, and one of them (it's a surprise!) is making its appearance in 33.0.
Let us know how you feel about the classic & user-submitted maps—we think it'll be fun to do more of this in the future!

New Monkey Placement Option – Snap to Valid Location
Turn on this new option to get effortless pixel-perfect placement.

Creator Codes
We've partnered with Nexus.gg to help you support your favorite content creators! Add their creator code in the game settings, and they'll receive a portion of all your in-game purchases.
The Nexus.gg folks have been amazing to work with and we truly hope this will promote a mutually beneficial relationship between player, Creator, and game developer. Ninja Kiwi doesn’t think paid sponsorships are good for the gaming ecosystem, but we think that Nexus.gg and Creator codes can be.
Stay tuned to our socials for more information. The program is starting with a selected group of Creators that we’re already working with for previews and feedback, but Nexus.gg will have a signup page for other Creators who are interested. More news soon!

Contested Territory
We've received a lot of constructive feedback regarding possible changes for the CT events. We didn't want to make any drastic changes in the 32.2 patch, but we'll share what's been planned for 33.0:
  • New challenge types: most pops from a single tower, and an Apopalypse-style survival mode! These new challenges came from a post in this community; a huge thanks from us to u/Crazy_Refrigerator42!
  • Captured territory will last 24 hours before it starts to degrade. This change will not apply to Relic tiles, and activating relics to claim a tile will cause that tile to degrade sooner. This should help maintain some incentive to go for Relic tiles without allowing a team to grab all of them and permanently take over.
  • We're in the process of adding a chat feature for communication with members of your Team. Instead of typing messages, the implementation will be similar to co-op games: having pre-made messages allows the game to cross language barriers and keeps it fun for all ages. We'll share more information about this feature when 33.0 is released.

Paragon Degree Boost
Some players have asked for a way to obtain Degree 100 paragons without needing to play co-op or use Geraldo. Version 33.0 will grant this option—for a hefty price.
Paragons now have a "Degree Boost" button, similar to the level-up button in the Hero upgrade screen. Each boost costs $100,000 and increases the Paragon Degree by 1. Getting to Degree 100 this way is more than double the cost of using Geraldo's Paragon Power Totems, but it'll sure be convenient!

New Hero Skin
An alternate skin for Geraldo is in the works, but with his expansive shop inventory, it's a bit more involved than making skins for the other heroes. In the meantime, we've made a brand new hero skin for Pat Fusty that you're sure to enjoy!
We've received multiple requests for 『 Star Patinum 』 but due to copyright issues we're putting that one on ꜱᴛᴀɴᴅ-by. Instead, we're proud to present Pat's new lumberjack aesthetic: Pat Forestry!
There's a lot to love about this woodsman:
  • Mr. Forestry crushes the bloons with his trusty axe and bare fist.
  • Starting at level 5, he holds a ceramic coffee mug in his free hand and uses it to yeet bloons back along the track. This mug was made from the remains of a ceramic bloon that he crushed with his bare hands at the age of 3.
  • Instead of giving a hug, his level 10 ability uses a wide-funnel-diesel-powered BLOONCHIPPER THAT'S RIGHT THERE'S FINALLY GONNA BE A BLOONCHIPPER IN THIS GAME

Bug Fixes & General Changes

Some changes have been made to the Master Builder's Green Sentry so that y'all stop complaining.
  • Green Sentry can now lock on a target like the Dartling Gunner
  • The Green Sentry's laser now 3D prints Bloon Traps instead of creating its own sentries
    • The Bloon Trap is placed wherever the laser is pointing
    • Bloon Trap capacity is determined by Paragon Degree
Glue Gunner's tower category is changing, which may or may not be in order to make room for a certain animal trainer to join the Primary towers soon.
  • Glue Gunner is moving from Primary to Support category
  • Some minor buffs to a few of its upgrades to compensate for losing Primary Training synergies
Did you ever notice that the Bloonarius Prime map teleports the bloons on every prime-numbered round except round 2? You didn't? Well, it's fixed now anyway.
  • The Bloonarius Prime map is now aware that 2 is a prime number
Now that Dr. Monkey is here, he needs a home.
  • The Powers menu has been rearranged to fit Dr. Monkey
  • Get ready to feel a sense of pride & accomplishment, because the Monkey Fusion Lab is going to be filled with microtransactions!
    • Spend $7.99 to develop a Bloontonium Fusion Reactor – this will give a chance for your fusions to "go haywire", resulting in multiple upgrades and a chance for both monkeys to be upgraded without fusing!
    • If you run out of EXP to upgrade any type of monkey, no need to worry—EXP refills are being sold over-the-counter.
Most of the user-reported bugs have already been patched in 32.2, but there are a few fixes that have just been implemented and will be released as part of 33.0:
  • Resolved the issue where no one else plays CT so you have to carry the whole team
  • Fixed a bug that causes players to miss their hero's ability timing by half a second which ruins their black border CHIMPS run on round 99
  • 🅱iker 🅱ones 💀
  • Resolved an issue where Benjamin would get sucked into an alt-right rabbit hole while browsing the internet (he is now aware of online echo chambers and their consequences)

Balance Changes

Upgrade paths for Banana Farms are seeing some more variety, thanks to some awesome changes we made to EZ Collect & Banana Salvage. Recently we've noticed a lot of Marketplaces in use, but sadly not many Banana Plantations (especially not many with the EZ Collect crosspath).
After running the numbers, we discovered something terrible: a 3-2-0 Banana Plantation and a 0-2-3 Marketplace make the same amount of income each round, despite how the Plantation is more expensive, less convenient to collect from, and less efficient for selling back.
So we're doing some upgrade price adjustments, and we're adding a new Druid synergy too! This should make for some better variety in farming styles.
  • Marketplace price increased: $2,900→$3,000
  • Banana Plantation price reduced: $3,000→$2,500
  • Any Druid with the Jungle's Bounty upgrade will automatically collect from Banana Farms in its radius that have the EZ Collect upgrade
(Even after this change, Banana Plantation still isn't quite as cost-efficient as Marketplace, but it's got the advantage of having 1-0-0 and 2-0-0 farms as convenient stepping stones)

Now that Banana Farm changes are out of the way, the rest of the balance changes will be done by looking at this CHIMPS tier list and buffing the worst upgrades & nerfing the best ones.
  • Bloon Master Alchemist: Transmutation now generates money using the same formula as Benjamin's Bloon Trojan.
  • Ultra Jugg: Juggernaut balls will rebound from the edges of the screen as if there were walls surrounding each map.
  • Glaive Lord: We've already decreased the Glaive Lord upgrade price by $2,600, but apparently it wasn't enough so we're just gonna do that again.
  • Sky Shredder: Just like how we massacred Tack Zone and Elite Defender, we're changing Sky Shredder's damage type from normal to sharp. Cry all you want but there's no going back.
  • Permaspike: Starting in 33.0 it won't do any damage. The spikes are sitting on the floor, so the balloons can just float over them!
  • Glue Rat: Glue rats have been identified as monkeypox vectors. A total extermination mandate has been enacted: any player found with glue rats equipped in the trophy store will be subject to capital punishment.

Questions from the comments:

At what age do Dart Monkeys retire? Depends on the Monkey!
Are churchill and striker jones in the same branch of the army? Churchill is in the armoured division, Stirker is an EOD specialist!
What has been the NK team's favorite BTD6 update to create? CT has been a massive one and seeing the community reaction has made it that much better!
What year does the bloons series take place in? Year 6.32.0
Will CT trophy store items be saved by individuals or just for the team? Like if someone makes a new team do they have to buy the rewards all over again? CT store trophy items are currently only for the guild you are in and leaving will mean the items won’t come with you but any trophies you still have will!
What are the Bloons reactions to seeing a True Sun God insta on the first round? CCCCHHHAAAARRGGGEEE!!!
Can you give us a leak. Maybe a little tiny baby leak?
https://preview.redd.it/u7o88rgprsf91.png?width=313&format=png&auto=webp&s=1378a84208a56d75f41f86794c581957cb91d286
When you have 5 bosses added would you do something like having different tiers each be a different boss in a special event That would be fun but very hard.
Will the ace paragon be able to be buffed from navarch? You will have to wait and see!
When did you guys start working in contested territory? Last year, even earlier if you include design work!
Has there even been a rejected tower idea (besides the blon chipper) Yep, quite a few honestly but none that we want to share as there is a chance we will look at them again in the future.
Does Benjamin pay his taxes? Of course!
If a monkey causes a really big regrow farm that cannot be handled, what happens after that? Do the monkeys blame that monkey for making a mess? Do they employ all the middle path druids and Elizi to handle it? Do I get blamed for using said strategy to handle regrows? Mistakes are made, we and the monkeys can only learn from them and improve next time!
How does striker weakens Black bloons? Does he just kindly ask them to get popped by explosions? He knows where to strike them!
How is the original Ninja Kiwi Blog going? I acknowledge that it may no longer be getting updated, but will the original Ninja Kiwi Blogs on your website be archived? Hopefully they are safe. While we are no longer uploading blogs to the website, previous blogs are still there for viewing!
Would you ever consider adding a "Round-bloonspedia" to the game, that easily shows you what Bloons appear in every round? Would especially be useful for newcomers and One-Round-Challenges, so you can quickly see what Bloons appear in that round. We have considered adding something like the Bloonspedia that Bloons Pop has to BTD6 but not a specific round one!
Is contested territory just a game for the monkeys? Where do they get these territories from? It's mostly a team bonding exercise, they all get very invested. The territories are specifically agreed upon for these events!
Do the heroes all live in a hero-house? Do they all live separately? Do some live together, but not others? Some of them live together but a few have their own places, as they enjoy their space!
Which Hero/Tower is the best at pulling pranks, like the kind that everyone can laugh at later? Benjamin, he’s gotten some really elaborate versions of Rick Rolls…
Does Lych or any other boss bloon fear Glue Rat? Absolutely terrified, it's why we had to nerf it
Question what if all heroes switched weapons who do you think would have the most trouble? A few of them would need some training on Ben’s laptop for sure!
In what state is the bloon war. Are monkey or bloons winning,or is it at a stalemate where neither side is able to gain the advantage? It’s pretty even still but we like to think Monkeys are still winning overall!
Does getting consumed by the paragon collective hurt physically, mentality or spiritually. Not at all, more like a big warm hug!
How long do monkeys live? The length of a piece of string!
Are all monkeys required to fight against the bloons when they are old enough? Nope, only those who want to but quite a few do want to!
Do the monkeys use social media apps like twitter and Facebook? They have their own versions of them, yes!
Did the Bloonchipper on Scrapyard buried on a burial ceremony, or was it just left there to rust? Yeet!
Once CT is released, is there a chance for Mastery mode? A chance, yes! We aren’t working on it currently though.
"Yestagon!" I despise you guys and your terrible puns. You are most welcome! :)
Why are the monkeys stationary? They have legs don’t they? I get that things like munitions are heavy, but it wouldn’t be too hard to chase down the bloons when they’re out of range right? When you get told to defend a spot, you stay there defending it!
Do all monkeys have names or are heroes the only monkeys that have names? Patch, Max, Ace, Zed and many more!
Are there monkey versions of celebrities? Tom hanks monkey version? Zendaya? Bomb Hanks, Zendartya, Dartzel Washington, Bloonanu Reeves and Orlando Bloon just to name a few.
Will there ever be more diffuculties added to btd6? If so, will support only be included? It is something we have discussed but we aren’t planning them actively.
How does X-1-X Buccaneer sharpen grapes? The same way everyone does!

Questions from the comments:

Which heroes are the early birds and which ones are the night owls? Brickell, Striker and Churchill are always up at the sound of the reveille bugle, while Etienne and Ben are always up late!
What do monkeys do at Banana Research Facilities? Research bananas! ;)
Why doesn't the Ninja Kiwi help us pop the bloons..? So many tasty bugs to chase!
will Bloons Pop! come to PC? This is something the team is looking into!
Who's da best BtdB2 Player in the Ninja Kiwi team? We have 2 contenders but have yet to see them face off!
Why can alchemist monkeys see and throw potions through walls? Isn't Science the polar opposite of magic that the wizard monkeys use to see through walls? Alchemy has always been a bridge between science and magic, enough so that alchemists know that if the space between molecules aligns correctly, any object can pass through another. Somehow they are able to get their throws perfectly timed and positioned every time. Ah the magic of science.
What Engineering degree do the Engineer monkeys have? A masters from Blooniversity.
what if there was a hero that was a bloon but switch sides to the monkeys What if there was a bloon that was a hero but switched sides to the bloons?
Does Psi get along with other monkeys their age? How much do psychic powers prevent them from having a more “normal” childhood? They get along great with all the monkeys! They have a relatively normal childhood if you count moving stuff with your mind as normal! Psi did find that life improved greatly once they stopped reading their friends’ minds.
Please tell me you're shipping the Quincy plush in a similar box to the Quincy NFT- I mean action figure from Geraldo's shop Our partner Makeship sends all plushies in reusable bags to reduce waste!
What happened between BTD5 and BATTD to make the Wizard Lord less aggressive (to both sides) by losing all attacks for a bouncing shot and no longer consuming our expensive monkeys? The portal to OOO transformed most of the Monkeys significantly and Wizard Lord decided to keep experimenting with controlled attacks even after Jake left it behind.
Would you consider doing a 5 year anniversary of btd6? Similar to btd6's 1st birthday on Youtube. We would have to see closer to the time! :)
Where do you get the Q&A questions from? Reddit? The nk website? Or both? Both! Although we will exclusively be using Reddit for the blog going forward.
Do the monkeys ever run out of there weapon’s? (Ex. Quincy running out of arrows) Some awesome bags of ammo storing, cooked up by the wizards and engineers help provide an endless supply! Do like your thinking, though - a limited ammo mode….hmmm…..
Is the sun temple able to move after a game is done? Or does it just sit there forever? A group of Monkey volunteers help disassemble the Temple so it can be moved. Sort of like if you were to purchase a Sun Temple from Ikea.
Do the pilots of aces not get bored of flying circles the whole entire game? With the wingmonkey targeting and all the micromanaging they never get bored!
Will you ever make plushies out of any of the boss bloons? (im not on their side I swear I just think they would be cool to have as plushies) It would be really cool to do! At the moment we are currently focusing on Heroes and Towers, but yes, you’re right - MOAB class and Bosses would make great plushies. Wonder why we didn’t think of that. Oh wait…
If it takes time for bloons to prepare do they use some kind of farm to make money so they can afford better bloons? Bloons are pretty good with their eco.
Has Sauda ever played Metal Gear Rising: Revengance? If so, what's her favorite character? She has yet to play it, but likes the look of Raiden! Or is it just the sword….
what hobby(s) does striker have that dont include explosives He is very into moustache grooming and loves watching Ron Swanson!
What are the monkey's opinions on Blue Java bananas? They love them! A nice dessert-like treat for after battle! The staff in the office are pretty keen to try them as well! The Monkeys didn’t need to look this up, but we did - thanks for teaching us something!
Will there ever be a limit of the amount of paragons at once, or will you be able to get them all in the same game? If there is a limit will coop games bypass this like with tier 5s? Maybe and maybe. We feel having all paragons in a single game feels strategically un-fun, so we do intend to add a limit to how many you can get in a single game to increase the strategy of which ones you need to build to succeed.
If there will be a fight against ninja and boat paragon on lotus island who would win? Thankfully we never have to find out! That would be too much destruction!
What is the in-universe reason that you cannot gain money in deflation or why you can't Continue, Lose a heart, gain income, use monkey knowledge, use powers and instas, or sell monkeys in CHIMPS mode? Monkeys finding more efficient and cheaper ways to defeat the hordes of Bloons!
If I remember correctly, the seeking shuriken description in BTD5 flash says shurikens can seek because they are filled with bloon hatred or something along those lines. Why not fill every projectile with bloon hatred? Only ninja masters are able to instil that sort of power in their chosen projectiles
What is Etienne's opinion on darts? Excellent for drones!
Kiwi? Ninja Kiwi. :)
If the heroes wouldve been a drink, which drink they would be? Ben would be Mountain Dew and Gwen would be hot sauce in a drink bottle!
Do you have any planned buffs for the weaker heroes in btd6 (Ezili, Churchill, etc) to make them more useful and viable We always have short and long-term plans and it doesn't always feel like a good idea to do fast small changes over waiting for the time to do better changes later on. A lot of these are a matter of perspective though, many people have Ezili and Churchill as favourites and consider them very good, heroes too much better than that may be the ones that need tuning down instead.
How many darts does it take to pop the sun? Dr Monkey is still running tests…
How many monkey cities have existed (BMC, Bloons Pop, BTD5 etc.) and which is the current one? There are many Monkey cities all over the Monkeyverse, and we’re still exploring them! There is no monolithic single city in the Monkey World, just like human cities are different.
Does btdb2 share the same team as btd6, or do they work separately with some communication for major features? They are separate independent teams, with lots of informative and helpful communication but on opposite sides of the world!
What would a Monkey Demon look like? Scary that's for sure!
Are monkeys the bad guys? The short answer… No. The longer answer….. Bad guys to the bloons maybe.
Is 32.0 a lie? 32.0 is so hugely real it’s just taking a couple more weeks to polish.

2022.07.03 23:02 Lolger24 My 'map buffs' idea.

If you play in a map, you mostly do your favorite strategy. I have an idea to explore more strategys: map buffs. My idea is if you play in a map, for example tree stump, it would buff the towers that relate the best to a map like middle path druid. I think monkeys will fight harder if they protect their homes instead of a place what doesn't matter for him/her. I don't think it would be fun if it also nerfs towers.
(if I say base, I mean until an 3th tier and if I say a path I mean a 3th tier and above)
Monkey Meadow: I think this one needs to be balanced because some people want to test things for what tower is better.
Tree Stump: as I said, middle path druid, maybe also the base druid.
Town Center: Middle path and bottom path village and base village and base dart and glue because those are the villagers.
Scrapyard: base, bottom and top path engineer, and also base and bottom path tack shooter.
The Cabin: bottom path druid and base druid, also base and bottom path glue. (nothing stickier than old wet resin)
Resort: Bloon Master Alchemist because he has the perfect outfit, and middle path and base banana farm.
Skates: bottom path ice and also base ice.
Lotus Island: base heli and base buccaneer, and middle path buccaneer.
Candy Falls: base dart and glue because they want to eat and also base alchemist because he found the formule to make infinite candy. Maybe also cookie monster (middle path alchemist)
Winter Park: base ice and top path ice.
Carved: base and bottom path wizard.
Park Path: base and bottom path sniper.
Alpine Run: base ice and middle path sniper.
Frozen Over: base and middle path ice.
In The Loop: base boomerang and bottom path boomerang.
Cubism: base and top path darling because of the straight lines.
Four Circles: base and bottom path super monkey. (I think its a super speedy guy)
Hedge: banana farmer range (he must feel great in a garden)
Logs: base and top path druid (I think there was a big storm before the logs fell)
Quiet Street: base and middle path monkey ace (a bomb made it quiet)
Bloonarius Prime: top path monkey sub (results form bloon war 1)
Balance: base and top path ninja.
Encrypted: base and bottom path wizard monkey. (again)
Bazaar: base and bottom path banana farm.
Adora's temple: base and top path super monkey. (maybe also vtsg)
KartsNDarts: base and top path dart monkey. Also base glue. (it's the only thing with wheels and the others are fans)
Spring Spring: middle path engineer (blowing bubbles)
Moon Landing: base and middle path dartling gunner (he has rockets and even a oxygen reserve)
Haunted: base and middle path super monkey. (he is also a little creepy)
Downstream: base dart and base and middle path glue. (he must get all his liquid from something)
Firing Range: base and bottom path dartling gunner, and also base and top path ace.
Cracked: base and bottom path mortar monkey. (someone must have did this)
Streambed: base and top path tack shooter. (how did the dinosaur die?)
Chutes: base and top path super monkey. (vtsg maybe)
Rake: base, middle and bottom path ninja monkey.
Spice Islands: base and bottom path heli, also base and top path ace.
Sunken Columns: base and middle path sub. (only he can come this deep)
X-factor: base and bottom path ace.
Mesa: base and bottom path bomb shooter.
Geared: base and top path engineer.
Spillway: base and top path glue, also base and top path alchemist.
Cargo: base and bottom path buccaneer.
Pat's Pond: base and top path sniper monkey.
Peninsuela: base and bottom path sub.
High Finance: base and middle path dart, base glue and base and middle path banana farm.
Another Brick: base and middle path mortar.
Off The Coast: base and middle path buccaneer.
Underground: base and top path spike factory.
Cornfield: base and top path banana farm.
Sanctuary: base and middle path tack shooter.
Bloody Puddles: base and top path boomerang.
Muddy Puddles: base and top path mortar monkey. (how much mud can a single bomb carry?)
Ravine: base and middle path heli pilot.
Infernal: base and middle path wizard monkey.
Flooded Valley: Moab Eliminator (to flood the valley)
Quad: base and bottom path spike factory (the forever lasting sharp pebbles)
Workshop: base and middle path spike factory.
Dark Castle: base and top path village, base and bottom path dart monkey, base glue.
#Ouch: base and top path heli.
I hope it's gonna be added in an update.

Rest in peace Technoblade.

2022.06.05 17:06 Astralvoidtraveler Problem with Bosses.

GENERAL DISCUSSION
Ever sincer bosses got added to BMC they instantly became favorites. How they looked, their names, the fact that they constantly get harder, and limited resources of BMC made them brutal in later levels.
The problem it is that these things are not in BTD6.
In BMC you had barely nay time to prepare. While bosses had much less HP in BMC,you needed to make an actual strategy rather than spam Farms and Paragons. Also the fact that towers are not infinite amde it even harder.Good luck beating LV25 those beast shad more than 100 thousand HP at that point.Even with beating them with permanent upgrades you get from cards,LV 15 plus was brutal.Beating bosses are not a challenge anymore. Also ther design is not good either.Bloonarius only spawns bloons(which are never a threat),Lych only revives MOABS(which are jokes and not a threat) and buffs(again which is not that dangerous and could be avoided using paragons),Vortex is even worse,SJB beat Vortex ELITE TIER 3 at the end of the map with 1,500,000 HP left beacuse of stupid pushing. Also the fact that Elite just has more HP tells how uncreative NK is.Oh wait, also don't forget tiers, they are also the same crap with more hp and barely more effective abilities, actually their abilities become LESS effective!
The one of the biggest issues also the fact that they are all blimps. Why regular bloons can't be bosses?WHY?(No I am not saying why a Pink Bloon should be a boss by the way)
Bloonarius
If you didn't know, Bloonarius is the first boss ever introduced.Even for a first boss his design was straight up lame.He only spawned bloons.Did he become better?Absolutely no.Bloonarius is till lame and not a challenge.Unless you play the Elite, and at that point only Tier 1 and 3 is a threat,if boss is played at advanced and harder maps or impopable or higher afficulty that is.
Lych
The first original boss of BTD6.
To be honest,he is even easier than Bloonarius.stealing buff is cool and all, respawning destroye dblimps doesn't do anything. This guy is only a threat art Tier 1,because of Fortified Chained MOAB.
Vortex
Oh boy.
This one's bad design hurts me.Vortex was my favorite from BMC and how UGLY ADN UNACCURATE his BTD6 design is makes want to puke.Contrast is too high, eyes are too close.only difference between tiers are the amount of "fins" or engines(Really original NK)and lightning effects. They added lightning effects but not cloud trace effect that Vortex had from BMC.And of course stupid pushback that removes any challenge from it.

2022.06.05 05:37 Narayanb99 Really struggling with this boss, could use strategy help.

I managed to complete vortex normal mode with no help/guides, but I can’t even seem to get past round 40 bloonarius, im just looking to the ceramics, I’d love some strategy help.

2022.04.10 05:53 TPTPWDotACoEMW Rise of the Paragons - Prologue

This story is not a happy story. But it does have a happy ending. Or perhaps a somewhat bittersweet one. I guess it's all a matter of perspective. This is a story about the end of the Fifth War, the rise and fall of the age of cities, and the beginning of the Sixth War. And the place we shall begin is the place every great story starts: The beginning.
Long ago, long before the time of the Sixth War, Monkeys were fighting the Fifth War. In this time, the Bloons ran rampant, much like they do now. For the Monkeys, it was a time of chaos and a time of fear. They had no place they could go to for safety - no spot was safe from the invasion. As the invasion raged on, the civilization the monkeys had created was splintered and destroyed. The monkeys fractured into many factions, each one fighting for control of a different small piece of what was once the land of monkeys. Battalions of Monkey Subs waged war at the Ice Floes. Armies of Dart Monkeys and Tack Shooters fought for Main Street. And, of course, every kind of monkey under the sun fought to protect Monkey Lane.
The first four wars had been brief in comparison to the fifth one. The Monkeys would not give up or stop fighting, but the Bloons were effectively invincible. What was different in the Fifth War? The Bloons, this time, had a new power on their side: the Boss Bloons. There was Bloonarius, an inflator of massive Bloon swarms and a Bloon of the water; Vortex, a master of air able to sweep through Monkeys with practiced ease; Dreadbloon, a bloon of the earth that was stronger than stone; Blastapopoulos, a demonic bloon of fire whose power was nearly unrivaled; and, standing above them all, Lych, the Bloon from which all Bloons sprung forth - the lord of life and death themselves. These five Boss Bloons raged throughout Monkey civilization, with no hope of stopping them. Even when one of the smaller Boss Bloons was popped, the Gravelord would simply bring it back. And worse yet, Lych itself was unkillable; no projectile could make contact with its incorporeal body.
And so, the war continued. Months passed, then years, as the Monkeys slowly lost more and more territory to Lych and the Boss Bloons. As old monkeys passed away, new ones came into the world not knowing of anything outside the warzone in which they fought. Life was now defined by the Fifth War, and purpose came from fighting it.
Then, one day, all of that changed forever.
The Druids, secluded in the Forgotten Forest, had been searching for years for a way to defeat Lych. Many years after it first appeared, they found the answer. Lych was made incorporeal by storing its physical body within a smaller Bloon called a Soul, which Lych had hidden beneath the Monkey Graveyard at the center of the Secluded Forest. The Druids picked a brave volunteer, one of their youngest practitioners, and used his body as a catalyst to seal Lych inside of its Soul. They created a magic circle spanning the entire graveyard, and integrated the young druid's body into the surrounding forest. The young druid grew into a massive forest spirit, and disappeared into a secluded part of the woods to rest. From this spot, it would watch over Lych, preventing it from ever again rising.
The effect of this defeat of Lych was felt immediately, across the entire land. The Bloons' attacks suddenly stopped. Every Boss Bloon, at the same time, retreated. Bloonarius submerged itself within a swamp. Vortex disappeared into the skies. Dreadbloon sealed itself underground. Even Blastapopoulos sunk into the fiery pits of a distant volcano.
Across the shattered land, Monkeys celebrated. They began to rebuild from the ashes of what they had left. Many, not knowing there were others out there, built small settlements, housing the last Monkeys they knew to be alive. There were plans, of course. These villages would start small, but they would grow, and grow, and continue to grow.
The age of cities had begun.
The cities expanded their walls by fighting the few straggling bloons that remained. Water wheels and windmills were invented to supply the growing cities. Temples were built, for worshiping the Sun God. Military strategy developed, and advanced, all for the purposes of expanding the city and continuing the good fight against the Bloons. Engineers were freed from the swamps of Bloonarius and, using blueprints stolen by Dreadbloon, they created the Bloonchippers. The armies of the cities continued to grow, and the cities grew as well. Needless to say, it was unsustainable. After many years, cities began disputing with each other over borders and fighting for space, even though there was still plenty to go around.
It was around this time that Bloontonium was discovered and mining began in earnest. The finest professors examined the material and came to a shocking discovery as to its origin: It was the essence that gave Bloons life. The military commanders, hearing of this, came up with a revolutionary idea. Bloons had no master and even then they were mighty, coordinated forces. If they were given a master, they could be turned into machines of optimal, focused destruction. With this discovery, cities began calculated attacks on opposing cities using armies of Bloons, in attempts to force them to cede resources or land. As the wars progressed, the Bloons became stronger, faster, and even more coordinated, as tools for creating even stronger bloons were manufactured. Rainbows. Ceramics. MOABS. ZOMGs.
The first warning sign was when the temples turned dark.
It happened on the same day in every city, around the time the MOABS had reached completion. Every temple to the Sun God had faded from a grandiose gold to a dismal gray. This was not the sinister color of the Vengeful Sun, either - the Sun God had abandoned them entirely. Every Sun Avatar left the city as well, along with the few High Priestesses of the Sun God.
The second warning sign was when the wizards left.
The wizards left shortly after the Sun God left. They apparently didn't approve of the use of Bloons in monkey warfare. It must be understood, at the time, the wizards were some of the few left who still remembered the Fifth War. They had been part of the fight, the desperate, losing fight. When the druids had sealed Lych, they celebrated. And now they had been forced to watch as the Monkeys who came after them turned their backs on everything they knew.
Not that the wizards were the only ones to leave. One city reported two military generals and a naval commander refusing to stay in the city. Another reported a drone pilot and a voodoo priest departing in the night. Yet another reported a psionic child escaping the city on the shoulder of one of their largest citizens. Their whereabouts would remain unknown for many years.
Even then, this was not enough to halt Bloon warfare, and it would take much more for the age of Bloontonium to come to its end. The wake-up call, for most Monkeys, was the third warning sign. And it is here we finally get into the story of Project M, of the Monkey Paragons, and of the end of the age of Bloontonium.
It will begin with a Dart Monkey... and it will end with the awakening of the Gravelord.

2022.03.09 21:46 diegoxlegend Tips on bloonarius

I literally can't figure out how someone comes up on how to beat bloonarius and elite bloonarius. Like what would I be doing if there wasn't youtube tutorials out there?! So I'm searching for some general advice on how to beat the bosses on my own. Like what towers to use, what to do when and so on so I can kind of build my own strategy around those "basics"
