2023.06.08 13:53 AGamerDraws Should r/ArtistLounge and r/ArtBusiness go dark in support of the June 12th protest regarding API policy changes?
Hello everyone! Your friendly neighborhood mod here with a bit of a different post than normal.
On June 12th - 14th (48 hours) many subreddits will be going dark in protest of a recent Reddit policy change. I am making this poll to ask the users of ArtistLounge and ArtBusiness if you would like our subreddits to join in with this protest. Outside of the art subreddits, we usually feel quite separate from wider Reddit. This is due to our aim to be a chill arty discussion corner of the internet. However, due to the impact that this policy change will have, I thought it important to decide as a community how we will be involved.
The context
Reddit's policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, and potentially other important third-party tools. These tools include important quality of life features which simply aren't available in the official mobile app. On May 31st 2023, Reddit announced that they will be raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that is inaccessible to the third party App developers. This will likely result in the shut down of every third party app including (but not limited to) Apollo, Reddit is Fun, Narwhal etc. Here is a post from
apolloapp with further details:
https://www.reddit.com/apolloapp/comments/13ws4w3/had\_a\_call\_with\_reddit\_to\_discuss\_pricing\_bad/ Some additional third party tools, although not immediately directly impacted, will likely face difficulties in the future. An example of one of these tools could be
toolbox , which many moderators rely on to support their communities.
For many users this will mean that they will no longer use reddit on mobile, and in turn not have access to reddit at all.
For moderators, it will make our lives so much more difficult or, in some cases, impossible. At best, this would lower the accessibility, quality and consistancy of moderation, and at worst it would leave many subreddits with little to no moderation at all.
It will also greatly impact users who require additional functionality and accessibility tools such as screen readers.
How does this impact our subreddits?
Moderating reddit on mobile is stressful. There have been some recent improvements with the official app, but there is so much that is inaccessible or invisible on the mobile app that it is impossible to moderate consistantly. Messages are missed, mod mail is hidden away, and inconsistencies with rules occur from content on mobile looking completely different to desktop.
I complete the majority of my moderation on PC for this reason and when inviting new moderators to join the team one of the first questions I ask is whether they are mainly using a PC or mobile device. This way I know how much they will be able to support the team.
Recently, I have been dealing with a lot of health issues and I was unable to work at my PC. Initially, trying to moderate on mobile was okay in small bursts, but it quickly became overwhelming. The rest of the moderation team were able to do a fantastic job in my stead, but it really hit me how difficult it is to excursively use the official Reddit app. Following some recommendations , and after seeing this protest announcement, I downloaded some alternative apps to see the difference for myself. It is night and day. I can look at my mod feed on the official app and compare it with the same mod feed on a third party app and the difference in information is stark. Messages and reports that aren't even visible on the official app show up clearly on the third party one. Messages are written in full, so I don't have to load multiple screens to find out what help someone needs. Messages are colour coded so I can tell if they are from our automoderator or directly from users. That's before even taking a deep dive into the apps. I had no idea how much simpler it is to moderate with these alternative apps and now it is so clear to me why so many moderators, including the majority of our mod team past and present, have relied on them.
Having access to easier moderation tools on mobile means we can provide much better support on a far more consistent basis. It also hopefully means that we will be able to unlock time and energy to do more interesting things with the subreddits that you have all asked for. The removal of these apps would directly affect members of our moderation team and severely limit how much they would be able to continue supporting the subreddits.
What will happen?
- I intend to make next week's weekly thread (uploading before the protest) an informational post about the protest, it's impact, and how users can share their support. This will match the standard posts being shared site-wide.
- If the majority vote in support of our subreddit going dark, then we will make both subreddits private for 48 hours during the planned blackout.
- There is discussion that subreddits may extend how long their subreddits remain dark if issues are not resolved in this time. There are no current plans for ArtistLounge and ArtBusiness to extend the time past the 48 hours.
- If the majority vote to not join the protest by going dark, then the subreddits will remain live. The pinned post will contain information on what is happening, why it is happening, and how to support the cause.
Please feel free to share your thoughts in this thread. View Poll submitted by

2023.06.08 13:14 emosyrose2003 I (F20) am having trouble with confidence and making the first move in a new (hopefully soon to be) realatuonship with a new guy (M22)
Me and my ex partner where together for 3 years, it has been 7 months since we split and I've recently felt ready to experience romance with someone else now. I've been talking to a new guy for around 4 weeks now but we are both shy and quite introverted. We are VERY different, I'm into tattoos piercings, heavy metal and I'm quite hyper when I get to know someone. And I think he is very opposite. However the first time we met in person went well, we spoke well and I felt it went smoothly, however it was so weird because I found myself not able to make ANY first moves and he was making all of them. I feel like since me and my ex partner split I have lost all my confidence and now I'm never able to make the first move and I'm always shy with new guys I talk to.
I want to be confident again like I used too, I wouldn't say I'm "top" when it comes to sexual acts but I also don't want to just be there shy and letting him make all the decisions.
Does anyone have any advice how I can fix this, I feel like I've completely lost myself since the breakup, my confidence, my abitions and just mainly my usual joyful and unanxious self.
TL;DR I'm struggling with confidence and ambitions in new relationships since splitting with my ex partner

MAY 7, 2023~World’s largest solid oxide electrolyzer begins producing hydrogen~ World’s largest solid oxide electrolyzer begins producing hydrogen (hydrogentechworld.com) Bloom Energy has begun generating hydrogen from the world’s largest solid oxide electrolyzer installation at NASA’s Ames Research Center. This high-temperature unit produces 20–25% more hydrogen per MW than commercially demonstrated lower-temperature electrolyzers such as PEM or alkaline https://preview.redd.it/r9j9ub5zur4b1.png?width=1536&format=png&auto=webp&s=8de4ed62233ef7c13a523b704dc0d2708068d3f2 This electrolyzer demonstration showcases the maturity, efficiency and commercial readiness of Bloom’s solid oxide technology for large-scale, clean hydrogen production. The 4 MW Bloom Electrolyzer™, delivering the equivalent of over 2.4 tonnes per day of hydrogen output, was built, installed and operationalized in a span of two months to demonstrate the speed and ease of deployment. “This demonstration is a major milestone for reaching net-zero goals,” said KR Sridhar, Ph.D., Founder, Chairman and CEO of Bloom Energy. “Hydrogen will be essential for storing intermittent and curtailed energy and for decarbonizing industrial energy use. Commercially viable electrolyzers are the key to unlocking the energy storage puzzle, and solid oxide electrolyzers offer inherently superior technology and economic advantages. Bloom Energy, as the global leader in solid oxide technology, is proud to share this exciting demonstration with the world: our product is ready for prime time.” The current demonstration expands on Bloom’s recent project on a 100 kW system located at the Department of Energy’s Idaho National Laboratory (INL), which achieved record-breaking electrolyzer efficiency. In the ongoing project, 4,500 hours of full load operations have been completed with a Bloom Electrolyzer™, producing hydrogen more efficiently than any other process – over 25% more efficiently than low-temperature electrolysis. The INL steam and load simulations replicated nuclear power conditions to validate full capability of technology application at nuclear facilities, and the pilot results revealed the Bloom Electrolyzer producing hydrogen at 37.7 kWh per kg of hydrogen. Dynamic testing conducted at INL included ramping down the system from 100 percent of rated power to 5 percent in less than 10 minutes without adverse system impacts. Even at 5 percent of rated load, the energy efficiency (kWh/kg) was as good or better than other electrolyzer technologies at their 100% rated capacity. These results will be presented at the Department of Energy’s Annual Review Meeting in Washington DC on 7 June 2023. Dr. Ravi Prasher, CTO of Bloom Energy, said: “The amount of electricity needed by the electrolyzer to make hydrogen will be the most dominant factor in determining hydrogen production cost. For this reason, the efficiency of the electrolyzer, the electricity needed to produce a kilogram of hydrogen becomes the most critical figure of merit. This 4 MW demonstration at the NASA Ames Research Center proves that the energy efficiency of our large-scale electrolyzer is similar to the small-scale system tested at INL highlighting the strength of our modular architecture. The electrolyzer product is leveraging the Bloom platform knowhow of more than 1 GW of solid oxide fuel cells deployed in the field and providing approximately 1 trillion cumulative cell operating hours. The same technology platform that can convert natural gas and hydrogen to electricity can be used reversibly to convert electricity to hydrogen. With Bloom’s high-efficiency, high-temperature solid oxide electrolyzers, we are one step closer to a decarbonized future powered by low-cost clean hydrogen.” April 5, 2022 ~Scandium emerges from the shadows~ https://preview.redd.it/r50wjw0vvr4b1.png?width=343&format=png&auto=webp&s=d2a2670c3411f9f5f915be5856236c16c3e938ad Scandium has long been considered an “if” metal. If only it were available in quantity, it could transform aircraft production and fuel consumption. If only it were available in quantity, it could speed the emerging hydrogen economy. If only it were available in quantity, it could accelerate the rollout of 5G technologies. And so on. The view has been that scandium could be used in numerous large-volume applications, if only supplies were sufficient to meet the potential demand. Manufacturers regularly cited a lack of sufficient scandium supply as the reason why they did not roll out new uses and products containing scandium. After a near-mythic role in the 1980s (as a strengthening agent in aluminium alloys deployed in the last generation of Soviet MiG fighter aircraft and even, reputedly, in ballistic missile nosecones), scandium entered the banal in the 1990s, in sporting goods and, bizarrely, hand guns. Bloom Energy turned the tide starting around 2010, with its introduction of fuel cells based on scandium-stabilised zirconia ceramic electrolytes. Bloom has grown rapidly and now represents perhaps 80% of the world’s annual consumption of SCANDIUM, a paltry 25t or so of oxide in 2021. And yet, despite these rickety foundations, SCANDIUM consumption is poised to grow dramatically in the next decade, buoyed by new sources of supply and sustained by demand-side innovation. The supply side Let’s start with supply. Until about 2018, most scandium was supplied as a by-product in China and Russia, from uranium and titanium processing. Since then, however, much has changed. First, Sumitomo Metal Mining built and has now commissioned a scandium recovery circuit at its Tagano Bay nickel high pressure acid leach (HPAL) plant in the Philippines. This plant recovers scandium oxalate for processing into oxide (and probably into scandium-zirconium oxide particles destined for Bloom Energy) in Japan. The plant recovers 7-8tpy of scandium oxide and when commissioned increased global supply by around 40%. Capital costs were perhaps US$5M/t of scandium oxide. Second, the Chinese integrated titanium producer Lomon Billions has established a 20-30tpy scandium oxide facility with the potential to increase to 50tpy. The company estimates up to 100tpy of scandium oxide are available in its titanium plants using the sulphate process. Third, in 2021, Rio Tinto commenced scandium recovery from its Sorel Tracy plant in Québec, Canada. The pilot plant can supply 3tpy of scandium oxide and cost US$6M. The site has the ability to supply an estimated 50-60tpy of oxide based on current raw material feed. Finally, UC Rusal has both commissioned a 3tpy pilot scandium oxide plant, recovering scandium oxide from red mud deposits, and also commenced marketing and selling a range of scandium alloys (branded “ScAlution” alloys) that boast enhanced performance at low (typically 0.1%) concentrations of scandium. Plus, it is not only Rusal that has pioneered low-scandium alloys. In the USA, Eck Industries, a specialist aluminium casting house, is commercialising cerium-based alloys in which scandium, again at low loadings, could provide additional strength as well as much reduced post-cast processing requirements. Looking further out, there are numerous scandium projects in development, many of which should come into production around the middle of the decade, thanks to two parallel forces. The main driver for scandium, as for so many minor metals, is vehicle electrification. There are multiple operating and development projects utilising HPAL technology to recover and separate nickel and cobalt in laterite deposits, many of which can in principle recover scandium. While the moral of Tagano Bay is that for existing plants retrofitting can be costly and low yield, there are emerging projects in Australia that are designing scandium recovery into their circuits alongside nickel and cobalt. The potential output of scandium can range from 50-100tpy or more, depending on the project. The second driver is the heightened concerns over supply chain security for critical metals. In the EU this has led to the “ScaVanger” programme to recover scandium from titanium waste streams. In the USA, red mud scandium recovery as well as by-product scandium stand to benefit. The demand side The demand side is a little more complicated but nonetheless extremely positive. Bloom’s power generation business continues to grow and has surely been reinforced by severe power disruptions in the past three years in California and Texas. Moreover, Bloom has now received initial approvals for maritime power generation (IMO regulations are forcing seagoing vessels to reduce dramatically their sulphur emissions, and Bloom can facilitate this change), and Bloom is also developing its technology to run in reverse, so to speak, as a generator of hydrogen. Critically, Bloom in the past five years has managed to bring its system costs and performance under control, removing any technology-related going-concern issues. Scandium is also a strong candidate for RF antennas able to support 5G frequencies. A typical high-end cell phone may require 100 RF filters, and in the 5G frequency range, scandium aluminium nitride is being used as the active material in these filters (called “bulk acoustic wave,” or “BAW” filters). Aerospace is a third area of application, and while commercial aviation likely remains years away from broad use of scandium alloys, near-term use in space and autonomous aircraft is an avenue for strong potential growth of scandium alloys. The cost to place 1kg in orbit has dropped dramatically but is still of the order of US$1,000/kg, so any system weight reductions can be extremely valuable. Electric vehicles (EVs) also offer the potential for large volumes of scandium demand. Weight reduction is the obvious reason. Lux Research has estimated a 1kg weight saving in an EV will be worth US$5 in 2030. But a second consideration is overall product cost. Scandium can reduce or potentially even eliminate the need for post-casting heat treatments, which can in some instances double the cost of an as-cast part. Thus the savings from the use of scandium alloys, especially at low scandium loadings, can be large. In addition, as EVs shift to heat pumps in their HVAC systems, scandium can support the implementation of aluminium radiators without adding substantial system volume (as discussed by CM Group in its 2018 scandium report). Naturally, there are other opportunities for scandium. Achieving a robust aluminium alloy able to perform at 300°C could displace large amounts of titanium, and Eck’s alloys are closing in on this goal. Maritime applications, especially in the military arena but also in autonomous vessels and ferries, could embrace scandium thanks to its greatly enhanced anti-corrosion impact in aluminium. Passenger jets are also a market that is likely to happen at some point. Most important, perhaps, is the fact that well financed firms have entered the market and are able to supply up to about 100tpy each. Supply at this level is all-but-certain to create demand, and in turn this should stimulate new supply. Scandium’s chicken-and-egg problem, in which lack of supply held back demand that in turn held back supply, has been reversed, with growing (and reliable) supply poised to stimulate actual demand, that in turn will pull through new supply, and transform scandium from “if” to “when”. JANUARY 2023 National Defense Act Calls out NIOBIUM & TITANIUM & SCANDIUM & the need to establish a U.S. Industrial Base for the Supply & Processing of ALL! https://docs.house.gov/billsthisweek/20220711/CRPT-117hrpt397.pd SCANDIUM PAGE # 246 Briefing on the Establishment of Domestic Scandium Processing Facilities in the United States The committee believes the United States industrial base for the supply and processing of the critical mineral scandium has significant vulnerabilities. The committee also believes that the United States should seek to eliminate dependence on Chinese and Russian sources of scandium, with support from allies and partners. Accordingly, public and private sectors should cooperate closely to establish scandium processing facilities in the United States. Therefore, the committee directs the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Secretary of Commerce, to provide a briefing to the House Committee on Armed Services not later than May 1, 2023, on public and private sector activities, working with allied nations, to establish scandium processing facilities in the United States, especially facilities based on more efficient, cleaner, and less energy intensive technologies. This briefing will also include how these processing facilities will help the United States reduce dependence on and compete more effectively with China and Russia. MAY 2023 ~Exploring global supply and demand of scandium oxide in 2030 ~ (NIOCORP is Mentioned!) https://preview.redd.it/lokhkunrzr4b1.png?width=174&format=png&auto=webp&s=f4f4c27d6227cfe5eb054751a217d712fe2f0e81 Incorporation of scandium in materials has environmental benefits across multiple industrial sectors, particularly in decarbonization of energy. One pathway to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions is to generate electricity using hydrogen or synthetic liquid fuels, which are more efficient than combustion engines and easily used in co-generation of electricity and heat (IEA, 2019). The functional technology is a fuel cell. A solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) produces electricity by oxidizing an energy carrier. The standard SOFCs produced by Bloom Energy are refrigerator-sized and input liquid or gaseous hydrocarbons (methane or biogas) to produce 100 kW of power. These cells process natural gas, biogas, or hydrogen to generate electricity with higher efficiency; up to two times higher compared to a gas-fired power station with efficiency of only 33–48% (Deepika et al., 2018). They are typically used to produce electricity and heat on-site for large buildings (Bloom Energy, 2021a). Currently, SOFC producers (e.g., Bloom Energy) utilize yttrium-stabilized zirconia and a scandia-stabilized zirconia in electrolytes; however, there are benefits of utilizing scandium over yttrium. Use of scandia-stabilized zirconia increases electro-conductivity and decreases operation temperature, resulting in higher efficiency and reliability (Deepika et al., 2018; Laguna-Bercero et al., 2009). Spurred by carbon reduction and global renewable energy initiatives, Bloom Energy is expanding its partnership worldwide (Bloom Energy, 2020, 2021b), resulting in increased demand in the SOFC market and scandium oxide required to produce SOFC boxes (Weinstein et al., 2018). Scandium also has potential for light-weighting (alloys), which is important for improving fuel economy as it requires less energy to transport lighter materials. Currently, transportation contributes 27% to total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions and 14% globally (EPA, 2022; IEA, 2022b). The Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards require vehicle manufacturers to continuously increase fuel efficiency (NHTSA, 2022). One approach is through light-weighting by replacing conventional aluminum alloy parts in vehicles with scandium alloys, potentially reducing 10% of vehicle mass and thus 6–8% of emissions (Joost, 2012). Given that the United States passenger vehicle emissions were 3.2 gigatonnes in 2020, this would translate to 0.2–0.3 gigatonnes of reduction (IEA, 2022a). In the United States, the Build Back Better agenda mandates 50% of new vehicles in 2030 must be EVs (The White House, 2021). To push emission reductions further than electric vehicle adoption, light-weighting should be considered. If legislation mandated regulation like Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards for EVs, there will be further reductions in energy demand. Lighter scandium alloys serve to reduce energy demand from transportation, which directly aids to mitigate climate change induced by automobiles. Another example of light-weighting is for commercial airplanes. The bionic partition structure is a wall partition between crew members and passengers, which also serves as an emergency stretcher and foldable seating for crew members (Airbus, 2016). Current commercial airplane's partition structures are bulky and heavy, weighing approximately 63 kg (Lau, 2016). Airbus and AutoDesk collaborated and successfully produced a 30 kg bionic partition structure using Scalmalloy®, a proprietary aluminum-magnesium-scandium alloy (APWORKS GmbH, 2015; Rhodes, 2015). Replacement of 4 conventional partition structures per A320 plane in commercial aircraft with Scalmalloy® structures could save up to 465,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year (Airbus, 2016). Despite scandium's potential role in meeting future sustainability goals, historically and currently, scandium is under-utilized because of its low supply and high cost due to its nature as a by-product. Prices of scandium oxide ranged from $3,800–5,000 per kg from 2013 to 2020 (Gambogi, 2017, 2020, 2021), placing scandium among the most expensive elements in production. High prices and low supply are due in part to its production as a co-product - production is dependent on the demand of other primary metals it is mined with. For example, when there is an increase in scandium demand and price, supply does not respond instantaneously because producers need to increase production of the primary products. This leads to price volatility. Scandium oxide is produced as a co-product due to its sparse concentration in ore, which makes it uneconomical to mine alone. It has been extracted as a co-product with iron ore, other rare earths, titanium, and zirconium in China; uranium in Kazakhstan and Ukraine; apatite (phosphorus) and uranium in Russia; and nickel in the Philippines (Gambogi, 2021). The global production of scandium oxide was 14–23 tonnes (15–25 tons) per year in 2020 (Gambogi, 2021), which was small in comparison to 220,000 tonnes (240,000 tons) of global rare earths oxide per year (Cordier, 2022) and 68 million tonnes (75 million tons) of aluminum per year (Lee Bray, 2022). Scandium appears to continue as a co-product in the future, for the most part. Mining companies expect scandium to be a minor co-product from mining other metals such as nickel, cobalt, titanium, niobium, etc. (Clean TeQ Holdings Limited, 2018; NioCorp Superalloy Materials, 2019; Platina Resource Limited, 2021; Wang et al., 2020). There is one exception in New South Wales, Australia by Scandium International Mining Corporation, whose primary product is scandium oxide (Scandium International Mining Corp, 2020). For consumption, SOFCs by Bloom Energy are the main scandium oxide consumer with 74% of total global consumption (CM Group, 2018). A typical Bloom Energy server box of 100 MW contains 13–15 kg of scandium oxide and costs $700,000–800,000 in 2010 (Ecclestone, 2020; Jenkins, 2010). Before subsidies, Bloom Energy servers cost approximately $0.14 per kilowatt-hour of electricity compared to $0.10 per kilowatt-hour of retail power price on the U.S. national grid (Helman, 2020). Although sufficient and reliable supply play an important role in other sectors (e.g., SOFCs, commercial aerospace), price is crucial in adoption in other sectors (e.g., sporting goods, beverage cans). (May 26, 2023) – NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ:NB) (TSX:NB) is pleased to announce that it has successfully demonstrated an ability to potentially double the recovery of titanium from each tonne of ore the Company expects to mine at its Nebraska-based Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project (the “Project”), once project financing is obtained and the commercial plant is constructed. The new process is expected to produce a purer form of titanium that may command a higher price than is assumed in NioCorp’s June 2022 feasibility study for the Project (the “Feasibility Study”). NioCorp’s demonstration plant in Trois Rivieres, Quebec, has shown that the Company’s new and improved recovery process can likely achieve an 83.7% rate of overall titanium recovery to final product. 2023.06.08 12:52 ThonOfAndoria Requesting information on R&D material drop sources
Hello gamers, as part of documenting the new Advanced consoles for the wiki, we have run into a bit of a roadblock in that we don't know what R&D materials the queues released after November 2015 drop - nor does it state in-game like older queues do.
Every advanced and elite queue in the game has an associated very rare quality R&D material with it, for example Vault: Ensnared and Crystalline Catastrophe on Advanced or Elite will
always drop a Radiogenic Particle, Infected: The Conduit will always drop a Trellium-K, and so on. The wiki has this information noted for all queues released in Season 11: New Dawn and prior, but anything past that is a mystery (and is also when Cryptic stopped including it in queue descriptions). As a result, we need to know the associated R&D drops for the following queues:
Space Battle of Procyon V Drops Trellium-K
- Best Served Cold
- Core Assault
Days of Doom Drops Trellium-K
Defense of Starbase One Drops Trellium-K
- Dranuur Gauntlet
Gravity Kills Drops Trellium-K
Operation Riposte Drops Trellium-K
Peril Over Pahvo Drops Plekton (this is an oddity, Plekton is a ground material, PoP is a space queue...)
Swarm Drops Trellium-K
- To Hell With Honor
Twin Tribulations Drops Trellium-K
- Tzenkethi Front
Ground Binary Circuit Drops Dentarium
- Dranuur Beach Assault
Miner Instabilities Drops Plekton
Pahvo Dissension Drops Dentarium
You can see the current list of Advanced console component drops here. submitted by

2023.06.08 12:48 lamka02sk OOS 13.1 experience...
...is awful at best. I can't remember a device that was more buggy than my 9 Pro. Seems like the only thing that 1+ know how to make is hardware. And it is not just OOS 13.1.
It all started when I got the phone with OOS 11. Do not disturb was broken, sync didn't work properly, but luckily just a few day after I got update to OOS 12, which fixed those issues. Kinda.
By creating new ones. This is when launcher got downgraded to the absolute minimum and started showing silly dots next to app names. App drawer experience was outright terrible with only 4 apps in a row and basically zero customizability. App switcher got downgraded with glitchy animations and gestures and "close all" button isn't doing what it says anymore. There was also bug when you swiped app away too soon, it would come back and didn't really close. Fingerprint sensor became useless and extremely slow, so I had to switch to face unlock which was annoying in different ways. Automatic brightness became unusable indoors while always setting brightness to around 50% even in the middle of the night. But I solved that by turning it off while I am indoors - I can live with that.
So then the 13 came. And I was kinda happy with it. Fingerprint was working ok, so at least something. But... They "fixed" the swipe to close app in app switcher by delaying first user interaction with it. So basically it makes you wait a second before you can swipe lol. After all those updates, camera still makes extremely blurry pictures of moving objects, while my Galaxy S8 can make a perfect shot.
Another bug came that the phone "remembers" cellular network after toggling flight mode on and off. This is extremely annoying when you are somewhere with weak signal and want to reconnect from 2G to 4G for example without waiting forever.
This was also the time I ditched the stock launcher because I got sick of those dots next to app names and terrible app drawer. Best decision.
But after all, 13.0 wasn't terrible overall, it was usable. Until yesterday when I updated to 13.1...oh boy.
Animations are super slow. I wait at least second everytime I was to view notifications or toggle connectivity or go to settings... which is a huge problem for me. The clock on lockscreen are sometimes not where they are supposed to be, but moved to the top under the lock icon. Flight mode still does it's thing with not being what it is supposed to do.
Now security updates. They are a joke. Everytime I read an article about how is 1+ is commited to updates for 4 years with security updates every month or more just like Samsung, I laugh. I am glad if I get a security update once in 3 months while praying that it won't break anything new.
And I probably left out half the bugs that I found so far. These are just the most annoying ones.
Sad to see what once amazing and customer-friendly brand has become.
The only thing that saves all of this is the price. I got a really good deal (less than half the price of a new phone), anything more would make it not worth it. I am pretty sure this is my first and last 1+ phone.

2023.06.08 12:46 SatoshiEK Where should I take the plot from this point? Help me brainstorm ideas for an improv short campaign.
This is my first post here, and as far as I can tell, I'm not infringing any of the rules, but let me know if that's not the case. So I have quite a lot of experience as a DM, but I want to hear other people's ideas as to where I could take this campaign next. I like to have very little prep and improv things on the fly, as I find that is less work for me and also more fun as I don't fully know what's going to happen, and most of the best ttrpg moments I've had in the past came from improvisation. I also like to keep my stories character focused. PLAYER CHARACTERS & BACKSTORIES: A quick summary of all the PCs and their backstories. 1 - Wood Elf Rogue accidentally made a powerful wizard lose his treasure and got cursed by him with a bracelet that keeps tightening in his arm. The wizard told him it will stop shrinking once he paid his debt, and that's why he became a rogue. 2 - Wood Elf Druid that comes from a secret town in the woods. Legend says the town was built because the founders came into contact with another secret town in the woods that had a powerful spell protecting it from being found. They did their own town but it has no spell to protect it, so there's a risk of it being found by another growing town nearby, which is getting closer. The Druid wants to find this other town, learn how to make the spell to protect her own town and also find her brother who went missing years ago. 3 - Half-orc Monk orphan girl who grew up in a monastery. Her hometown got destroyed in a Drow invasion, and her family might have died there, but she does not know for sure. She met her best friend, a giant, in the monastery, but he left for an adventure and was never seen again. 20 years after this, she was expelled from the monastery for bad behaviour and now lives as an adventurer looking for her best friend. 4 - Human Paladin. He fought a battle against draugrs but got his army wiped out by a large shadowy and mysterious creature. After that, realized that power alone achieves nothing and he needed faith, so he became a paladin. 5 - High Elf Bard. Wants fame and glory. He got a black lyre in the shape of a moon handed to him by a mysterious man he never saw again. The man told him he would be rich and famous as long as he adhered to the pseudonym "Pablo". The next morning, a mark appeared on his cheek that was in the shape of a flower but the shape keeps changing every night. THE STORY SO FAR: So we've only played two sessions up to this point. They had a fight in a tavern, a halfling involved in it was saved by them and gave them a stone with the drawing of an eye on it. They went to an old wizard, which hit one player's hand with some kind of meat tenderiser to get a teardrop into the stone (the blood in the meat tenderizer might serve as some foreshadowing). After the tear drop hit the stone, the drawing became an arrow and started pointing towards the woods. They found a dungeon there and found an Owlbear inside with two cubs. The Owlbear attacked them, and they decided to kill it despite the cubs, which ran off. The half-orc monk died in the fight, but I decided to revive her because this was her first time playing. But that came with a cost, as a dark entity in a plague doctor mask came to her. They asked her to give them her arms and legs, and when she agreed, she lost all movement in her limbs. They asked her to give them her eyes, and she became blind. They asked her to give them her ears and she became deaf. After that, she came back to life as if nothing happened. Eventually, they found a big black egg on a pedestal. They took the egg, the dungeon started crumbling, and they ran back to the entrance. When they were about to get out, they were stopped by two goblins, a bugbear and an ettin holding an orange flask with a fetus inside. My plan was to make that egg hatch into a dragon eventually, which the BBEG would need to get for his ultimate plan. My plan was to make the dragon and the BBEG connected somehow and they would grow up faster than normal. The fetus in the flask is the BBEG which communicates to the ettin via telepathy. This can all still happen or change, I'm not sure. What I know is I want to incorporate the PCs backstories into this whole thing. Some very interesting things already happened like the blood in the possession of the old wizard and the half-orc coming back from the dead. I believe a collaborative creative process is much more powerful than a solo one so I want to hear which kinds of ideas you guys have on how to take this forward. Keep in mind this is supposed to be a short campaign which should probably end in 10 sessions at most (preferably less).

2023.06.08 12:40 blueyelllow 43 similarities between Crash Bandicoot and Sonic Boom!
| - They both have a minigame in which the main character works out with their strong buff friend! Both Minigames are button mashers too, and reward you with some sort of victory animation and collectables!
https://preview.redd.it/pxbkfjlhvr4b1.png?width=545&format=png&auto=webp&s=7b17ac404e6f634e9263c592f14bda1742a6b36c - Both Crash 4 IAT and the Sonic Boom 3DS games reward you for collecting things and completing specific tasks within the stage! They are all gems/crystal inspired too, which is pretty cool!
- Both Crash and Sonic have a smart and adorable siblin sidekick!
https://preview.redd.it/1vax0sdjvr4b1.png?width=544&format=png&auto=webp&s=dd552be27550a7a2561c1d9b43dcfbe09516c21b - Both have legends of an ancient civilation that was supposedly very powerfull! While Crash didn't directly confirm it, I'm pretty much convinced they were the ones leaving those mysterious ruins!
- Some of the developers of Crash's original trilogy also worked on Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric! One of the artists, Bob Rafei, even founded the studio that would pitch it! Take a pinch of salt with the following, But I heard some of those devs later worked on the new Crash games!
https://preview.redd.it/1fr3uddkvr4b1.png?width=2048&format=png&auto=webp&s=6db09c05875c724c0f3b1924e9dd1b2c97008543 - Both Crash Mind over Mutant and the 3DS Sonic Boom titles allow you to enter your house, even if its just to access bonus content!
- Uka Uka and Cortex have a very similair dynamic to that of Lyric and Cortex! Uka and Lyric are both ancient forces that manipulate a scientist (Cortex/Eggman) to free them and do their bidding!
- Both Sonic Boom and Crash Bandicoot have a controversial Beat 'm up title with 2 player co-op!
https://preview.redd.it/q5xk6b3mvr4b1.png?width=544&format=png&auto=webp&s=71304e0ec85c06cae3aadf47de6c419cf59a20e4 - Cortex and Eggman both got depressed at some point when realizing they were never able to beat their nemesis.
- The Crash n' burn prototype made by Big Red Button features very similair environment design to Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric! This is likely because Big Red Button were the developers behind Boom, and were reusing assets to speed up prototyping!
Crash N Burn footage: https://youtu.be/fjnyp_TbM9w - Both Crash Bandicoot and Sonic Boom feature iconic crab enemies
https://preview.redd.it/e4se3d6qvr4b1.png?width=554&format=png&auto=webp&s=db05c965ca13f8d74150518aca85363b97ea25e1 - Both Sonic Boom and Crash Bandicoot have an overdosis of Jungle stages! Some of these games have atleast 4 different jungle worlds, some even are JUST jungle worlds!
- The villains of both series are humans with a PhD in mad science
- Both series take place on tropical islands!
- Crash Bandicoot and Sonic Boom are both "Semi-consistent" timeline! The wrecked robot from titans remains there up to Crash on the Run, where you recycle its parts to make helpfull machines! HypnoBot returns as a villain because it feels Tails treated it very poorly..
- Both Sonic Boom and Crash Bandicoot feature death routes/challenge rooms!
- Mojo in Titans and Orbs in Sonic Dash 2: Boom are very similair in appearence!
https://preview.redd.it/8u54kh6svr4b1.png?width=550&format=png&auto=webp&s=d4888656fd85b134166d85cd095cc75f3aa14489 - Both Crash Bandicoot and Sonic Boom have been on an "indefinite hiatus". While Crash made an impressive comeback since, I'm afraid I can't say the same for Sonic Boom..
- Sonic Boom and Crash Bandicoot are both written like cartoons! Crash Bandicoot takes heavy inspiration from Looney Tunes, while Sonic Boom tries to be more like a cartoon sitcom like the simpsons!
- Both Crash and Boom offered an endless runner mobile game that use elements from their franchise (crates and collecting for Crash, enerbeam and combo from Boom) to improve and innovate upon the experience!
https://preview.redd.it/7gria94uvr4b1.png?width=555&format=png&auto=webp&s=667f54aa2788df33b04921592d60997264a8888a - Both franchises feature worlds that are inhabbited by regular animals, anthropomorphic animals, and on more rarer occasions, humans!
- They both have an evil dimension with purple sky!
- Speaking of dimensions, Team Sonic and Team Bandicoot have both traveled through different dimensions and time periods before!
- Both Crash Bandicoot and Sonic Boom tend to refrence Uncharted time to time because their original developers worked on that project too! Crash Bandicoot tends to keep the refrences to social media posts, but Sonic Boom went as far to refrence it directly in its redesigns!
https://preview.redd.it/wr3umxjvvr4b1.png?width=548&format=png&auto=webp&s=c23afa3b1c7fcfb1d8fa7efdf93ad45dd6283879 - From what I heard, the original plans for the Sonic Boom brand would be a more expirimental branch to try new stuff for the Sonic franchise, which were quickly axed when RoL happend.. Either way, these plans sound very similair to the PS2 crash line-up to me!
- Both Amy and Crash Bandicoot have a spin attack ability!
- If the Crash of the Titans shorts are to be believed, then both Crash Bandicoot and Sonic Boom have a village on their island!
https://preview.redd.it/73dcz7pxvr4b1.png?width=547&format=png&auto=webp&s=b9b3a48fc3872e51cb8ba46be38654e53045decf - Both Sonic Boom and Crash Bandicoot devs put in lots of effort in on getting characterization right! Some even confirmed this in official interviews!
- Another similarity between Sonic Boom and Crash Bandicoot is that both main characters live in a very small house near the beach!
- Both series had their main protagonist team up with the main antagonist several times!
https://preview.redd.it/wpxufbfzvr4b1.png?width=549&format=png&auto=webp&s=717f1761b23aeab89567a5e06d8939f4b8131568 - Sonic Boom and Crash Bandicoot games tend to have their plot written around gems and crystals! Chances are that you will have to collect these before the villain does!
https://preview.redd.it/wkr2axl1wr4b1.png?width=551&format=png&auto=webp&s=0336c4ccaf26c4c266ee10f02a7a791038219eaf - Boom and Crash both try to diversify their content by adding gimmick stages! Some of these concepts are nearly 1:1 concepts!
- World map design is very similair!
- When there is no adventure on the schedule, the main protoganist tends to nap!
https://preview.redd.it/9xmfj5n3wr4b1.png?width=546&format=png&auto=webp&s=e204e1688013b956e7aa23763b965438b5285748 - Coco and Tails both have a similair attire, both wearing goggles and beltpouches!

- Crash and Boom!Sonic both live near an native village!
- Crash and Boom!Sonic are both troublemakers with a good heart! Basicially, they will save the day, but also leave a trail of destruction on their own.
- Crash Twinsanity and Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric are both ambitious titles that have more concept art then actual content! I'm talking mountains upon mountains of concept art! Go look it up, its a rabbit hole you wont get out of anytime soon!
https://preview.redd.it/f2vzq8y6wr4b1.png?width=535&format=png&auto=webp&s=f66d338ebd1a865c1037b8a207fc4dfe071a5c02 - Meh Burger (Sonic Boom TV Show) and Dingo's Diner (Crash 4) are two infamous restaurants that ensure you never want to eat again!
BONUS: - Its about time and Rise of Lyric had similair ambitions for their visuals: Pushing the genre futher! Unfortunately, only one of them succeeded.. :c
- Boom Tails was going to have a bazooka at some point! The design looks really similair to the Fruit Bazooka from Crash 3!
https://preview.redd.it/s73ckii8wr4b1.png?width=552&format=png&auto=webp&s=ead82e652cb21524f51bb25fa4172704e45e4121 - Crash Twinsanity and Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric both have some hubworlds where you can solve puzzels and get optional rewards!

2023.06.08 12:38 TheMagicalHealer Looking for creative roleplay partners!
Good day everyone!
I go by the name Guardian Angel here. You can nickname me however you want!
I am a 23 year old boy who is looking for some creative roleplay partners! I try my best to be as open as I can and generally like to just have some good fun with a fellow friend.
What I offer and expect:
- My best effort for creative posts
- Some flexibility on characters and personalities
- Friendly conversation
- Making arrangements, when being spontaneous does not work out
- 6+ sentences per post (but this is just a guideline minimum. If there really is not much you can do in a turn, then obviously it is okay to have even less)
My playstyle goes along more of traditional tropes you'd see in animes, but don't let that scare you! I am very willing to twist ways for very interesting ideas!
I can play both canon and OC. You might want to elaborate if you wish for something.
I generally enjoy the themes of romance, slice of life, some action and really creative ideas you want to bring too! The worst I can do is just give you a polite decline, if we really do not fit, so no worries!
Idea section:
Awakening of a Shikigami An old legend says, that shrine maidens had their own Shikigamis. Those shrines have been long abandoned and people have respect to not frequently visit these sacred places. Though, perhaps through some circumstance, you might find yourself coming close to one of these shrines to explore it. And eventually, you might find some weird artifact, that binds you to a new entity: a spirit fox boy! It all happens so fast, that you have no idea what just happened.. and then, he appears in front of you.
He is a mute, but boasts some powers that you might not even have imagined ever to exist in this world! The catch? He is only as strong as you are.
Meeting your guardian angel in person Heaven surely is strict about what angels have to follow and what not. The interesting part of it though is, unlike contracts in the real world, heaven does not set up rules for every little loop hole angels have to follow. The guardian angel that is assigned to you might be more curious about what you do and who you are, so he might try to make some sort of first contact with you. Whether it be anonymous or even blatantly telling you is all up to the situation and flexibility!
Android relationship You are a living machine! An android to be exact. You might not understand life at its fullest and have some trouble running away from some sort of corporation that built you, but luckily you can meet an engineer, who can keep your mechanical body clean and fixed! He might be a bit of a dork though, since the workshop he has is just some old shack at a beach. But he always has the right tool at hand to help you out!

2023.06.08 12:36 Plesdontbeajerk CMV: "Shipping" yourself with fictional minors as an adult makes you a weirdo
As does making NSFW fan content involving said minors, like fanfiction and fanart.
Now, the title might seem worse than it is at first glance. Let me elaborate.
What I mean by shipping in this case, is creating fan content that directly projects yourself into a story, in this case, a romantic/sexual story involving fictional teens. Most common way to do that, as I've seen, is /reader fanfiction, that's written in second person (you entered the room, you looked away, etc.). It's written predominantly by adults and consumed predominantly by adults. And not like.. 19-y-o adults, full grown "pushing 30" people, some older, some having families and kids of their own.
Sometimes it's not just fanfics. Often it's outright those same grown adults thirstposting on their twitter, how they find fictional minors in question "hot" and "sexy" and how "pixels do things to them". So I don't think the argument that "it's not supposed to be a self-insert!" flies here. And while I am ready to believe some type of mental age-regression does happen when people read this type of content, it's still blatantly self-insert. Your 30-y-o self are fantasizing about dating a kid.
Learn to distinguish fiction from real life!
Now, I don't believe that these people are automatically predators in real life. Nor am I virtue-signaling, trying to protect pixels. I know it's fiction. But I also believe fiction doesn't exist in a vacuum and it's always connected to real life. I know that when people like a piece of fiction a lot, they start noticing things that remind them of it in the real world. People want to project themselves onto fictional worlds and I think the role they pick to project onto matters. I wouldn't want my teenage son be looked at by a grown woman and let her think "oh he reminds me of that anime boy I wrote smut about".
Why I want my mind changed?
I found myself in a fandom that heavily features teenage characters. Mind you, this isn't like Riverdale or Wednesday where adult actors portray highschoolers. This is a book/graphic novel, characters all have designs where they look their age. At the same time, this isn't exactly a YA novel, the target audience is not kids, even though it's perfectly suited for kids. The content of the series is also not mature by any means. If you change my mind, perhaps I will be able to scroll through relevant tags on social media and not cringe every time I see someone post horny stuff about a made-up 15-year-old. Because when I see those made-up 15-year-olds, I can't help but think of my little cousins and I can't not think it's weird. And I genuinely don't understand how anyone can see them as.. not kids. No matter how fictional they are and no matter how mature they act in the source material.
P.S: I don't mind shipping between characters. To me that's like the author writing romance between young characters. It's exploring a trope. As long as nothing explicitly graphic happens, I think that's perfectly fine.
P.P.S.: Worth noting a weird double-standard I've noticed in general with this type of stuff. People seem a lot more okay with it (to the point of defending it) when it's women writing about fictional boys. If a man did the exact same with a fictional girl, it would be met with a completely different reaction. Which, I think, says something about how society treats real-life teenage boys in situations where they might be prayed upon.

2023.06.08 12:14 city_of_the_dead Figuring Out My Type
So, this is my first time being in this subreddit. 16personalities say I'm ISTP, I made sure to retake the test several times to confirm it. now, I want your guys' opinion on what my MBTI is.
I will list a few of my personalities as well as other things about me:
- my taste in music varies, however, the music genres I listen to frequently is rap and heavy metal (I'm that type of person to have their volume up while listening to music). I listen to Airborne, Hollywood Undead, Twisted Sister, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, AC / DC, Nirvana, Queen, Mötley Crüe, Florida Georgia Line, and Eminem.
- I do listen to pop also, but I only listen to Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Madison Beer, Sam Smith and Charlie Puth. as for the others, I probably only know like 2, 3 or 4 songs from them.
- i'm not really good at conveying emotions, as in, I'm bad at expressing them. hell, I never know what expression is on my face when I look at people. to people, my relaxed face is an angry face. or a friend of mine calls it "tiger eyes" (when we first met), I never really bothered to tell them though since I don't see the point of doing so.
- I'm pretty blunt, like very blunt, I never filter myself (I swear alot but I don't do it in front of my mom). I make comments about almost everything and would speak what's on my mind (if I was comfortable with sharing it that is), I never sugarcoat things. but that doesn't mean I always tell the truth, I lie alot. even too my own relatives.
- I am pretty honest on how I feel about a certain person, if I hate them. I will show that I do, I won't fake liking them. I lie alot, I've done that multiple times selfishly in my life because I didn't want to get scolded at. but, I hate playing fake with people. I really do, even if my mom tells me too. I can't bring myself to do so.
- when it comes to education, I really suck at it (English and Science is my highest subjects, Math, AP and Filipino are my lowest subjects). I'm more of a sporty type, which really sucks tbh ngl. I haven't gotten an IQ test before but I have all sorts of random knowledge I acquired over the years that's not really Filipino school related that I learned on YouTube and Google, I've always been good at memorizing numbers, but when it comes to math. I suddenly started forgetting numbers. hell, it took me awhile to memorize the multiplication table and I still use my fingers for the bigger numbers to this day.
- I just lay around and play my phone on the living room couch, while my aunt does all the house chores. as the older sister, I should be the one to do them, but I couldn't bring myself to do it for whatever reason, but. I do them, not frequently but when my aunt and mom is out leaving me and my brother or whenever I feel like it doing them.
- my mood changes pretty quickly, I go from angry (I'm short-tempered) to calm in a few minutes. If I'm angry for a long time, I listen to music to calm down. I am usually calm though, even under pressure (it depends on the situation though. when it comes to being rushed on something or me studying, expect me start getting pissed).
- according to my mom, I was always friendly and surrounded by friends in school. I can make friends fairly quickly, and I surprisingly remember each one of their names. I would even buy snacks in the cafeteria for myself and my friends according to my mom, I love giving nicknames to most people (even tho I suck at it) especially my friends. although, after the pandemic. staying inside and all with no contact with my school friends, I became a little nervous when it comes to talking to other people. (I've always been terrible at conversation starters honestly 💀)
- I always want to try new things or be different things. my mom told me that I used to want to be a security guard when I was younger, I recall telling my dad when I was 12 that I wanted to be a police or a chef, but as of now. at 16, I either want to be a soldier or a singer. as for the try new things, whenever I get interested in things I find, well interesting and I try to learn more about them. only to be bored of it eventually and lose the interest all together, I've always hated that about myself honestly.
- I'm really competitive when it comes to video games, if you challenge me in a game. I'll do whatever it takes to get a higher score then you, then impress you with how high my score is. I also love crosswords and word search, it's basically the only two puzzles games I actually enjoy.
- Creative Type, but I'm really horrible at drawing (I can only draw stick figures). mine is more of a creative thinking thing (i.e creating fictional character scenarios, not thinking out of the box).
- I love puns, especially dark humor. but I'm terrible at making one myself.

- No Landing Page Builder:Unlike HubSpot, Mailchimp does not include a landing page builder, requiring you to rely on integrations for this functionality.
- Limited Automation Tools:Mailchimp's automation capabilities are mainly focused on autoresponders. To access additional automation tools, you need to upgrade your plan, potentially increasing your costs.
ActiveCampaign: Powerful Email Marketing Automation

Choosing the Right Solution for Your Business
While each marketing automation solution has its strengths and weaknesses, the key is to select the one that aligns with your specific business needs. Consider the following factors when making your decision:
- Usage:Determine how you plan to use the platform. If you have limited email marketing needs, Mailchimp's free or low-cost plan might suffice. For more comprehensive functionality at a reasonable cost, ActiveCampaign can be a suitable choice.
- Scalability:Assess your business's growth potential and ensure the platform you choose can accommodate your future needs. Zoho may be an excellent fit for small to mid-sized businesses, while HubSpot and Marketo offer extensive functionalities for enterprise-level marketing.
- Customization:If you require a high level of customization and advanced features, Marketo may be the right choice for your enterprise. Its focus on lead nurturing and ability to align prospect engagement with business goals make it a powerful tool.
- Budget:Consider your budgetary constraints. While HubSpot offers a comprehensive suite of tools, it can be more expensive, particularly for small businesses. Evaluate the pricing structures of each solution, including additional fees for contacts and user licenses.
- Ease of Use:Assess the user-friendliness of each platform. If you have limited technical expertise, a solution like HubSpot or Mailchimp with intuitive interfaces may be more suitable.
- Integration Capabilities:Take into account the integrations offered by each platform. Consider the tools you currently use or plan to use in the future and ensure compatibility with the marketing automation software you choose.
By carefully evaluating these factors, you can make an informed decision about the best marketing automation software for your business.
In conclusion, marketing automation software has revolutionized the way businesses approach their marketing efforts. Whether you opt for the comprehensive features of HubSpot, the lead nurturing expertise of Marketo, the affordability of Zoho, the simplicity of Mailchimp, or the powerful email marketing automation of ActiveCampaign, there is a solution available to meet your unique needs. Choose wisely and unlock the power of automation to drive your business forward.

2023.06.08 11:36 Saphira128 LF: romance not the main event but still noticeably there, 3rd person POV, preferably adult, standalones or complete duologies/trilogies, mystery/suspense, spies, magic wielders, economic writing style, well-done world-building, well-rounded characters, FMC with a backbone
Hey :)
I'm trying to find something to read after a bit of a hiatus. Somehow nothing quite manages to suck me in anymore. It was a lot easier to lose myself in a book when I was younger.
Still a huge fan of Jonathan Stroud, especially the Bartimaeus sequence and the Lockhart & Co series. But there's barely any romance in these and I'm also looking for something more adult. Loved the investigating and the snarkiness of Bartimaeus and the skull. Also just really love Stroud's humour. Will definitely read his new series but there doesn't seem to be romance in it yet as well.
The Witchling Academy series by Monica Sanz was fun because it gave off HP vibes with the magic school and the wands. The mystery-solving, the magic, the gothic vibes and Sera's unusual familiar are quite entertaining in it. But I'm looking for something more adult with better world building and no love triangle.
The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri had some cool magic, loved the political scheming, the focus on female lead characters, the Indian flair, but there was missing something in the romance. I didn't feel any real chemistry or tension between them. Still interested in following this trilogy though.
So here a bit of a list of my preferences:
- romance as sub-plot or half and half, generally a nice balance between an interesting plot, excellent world-building and touching romance
- tension between the characters and a bit more than just a kiss, I don't mind explicit spice
- slow burn but am fine with middle burn as well
- 3rd person POV
- no love triangle or poly/harem relationship for the main pairing, just not in the mood for it right now
- no miscommunication driving the conflict in the romance
- prefer to not read a series spanning a lot of books, so a standalone or complete duology/trilogy would be ideal
- economic writing style
- love mystery-solving and trying to puzzle out what's going on alongside the characters, spying is pretty cool too
- have a weakness for magic wielders of any kind, so a focus on those would be nice
- not a huge fan of vampires/werewolves/shifters, so not a focus on these, love dragons but wouldn't mind to read about completely new or not as often used creatures
- FMC with a backbone, MMC too if there is one, and I want them to remain their own person even within the relationship, so I want them to become a union but them still be separate beings at the same time, a relationship of equals
- well-rounded characters
- no constant swooning over the other's physical attractiveness, a bit of it is fine but I don't need to be reminded of how amazing the other person looks all the time, especially not in dire situations (for that matter, there's nothing wrong with not being the most beautiful creature in the world, there are other things that can be attractive too, so if there are books out there where the main characters are perfectly average-looking or where there is no real fuss made about outer appearances that would be really nice; no offense intended to people liking it, just want to see something different)
- preferably adult romantic fantasy
- please no explicit domestic violence or SA
I'm picky, I know, and I'm not sure there is anything out there that fits 100% but if it comes at least somewhat close, I'd be thrilled.
Thanks in advance!

2023.06.08 11:36 Aros001 A recent post said Teen Titans 2003 has the best adaption of Dick and Slade's rivalry and I think it's because, in regards to Robin's personal story in the show, Slade kind of works as a Dark Batman figure.
Now I'm sure plenty of this wasn't intentional, since the creators have said they wanted the series to be as accessible as possible, to the point the audience doesn't even need to know the characters' secret identities, but I thought this was just a fun way to view especially the first season to get some extra enjoyment out of it.
Anyway, I believe that Slade in the 2003 Teen Titans series has a lot of parallels to Batman, especially in his relationship and dynamic with Robin, but contrasts him in many key way that in turn make him more of a Dark, or at least twisted, version of who Batman was to Robin.
Starting with the obvious, Slade can do everything that Robin can, only better. He's older, stronger, much more skilled, has plenty of tech and gadgets at his disposal, and seems always a step ahead. And throughout the first season he positions himself as a mentor to Robin, repeatedly challenging him to test his abilities and make him better. All of this is very much like Batman on the surface level.
However, the exact dynamic both men have with Robin is very different.
While the series never shows what its universe's Batman is like beyond one of the tie-in comics, there are a few assumptions we can make given things said and implied in the series, as well as just general pop culture knowledge of Batman and Robin.
We know that Robin in Teen Titans thinks well enough of Batman to still consider him like a father ("I already have a father." followed by a swarm of bats flying overhead). Whatever happened between them, Robin doesn't hate him and seems that he left Gotham more just to be his own man, since he wasn't initially interested in working with the others he'd soon go on to form the Titans with. We know the death of the Flying Graysons happened as it usually does, and did Bruce having Dick take the oath as a crimefighter with him by candlelight, both of which we saw when Raven entered Robin's mind and saw his memories. And we know by the lack of Batman in the series that he never came to Jump City to force Robin back to his side.
And there's where we get the first big differences between Batman and Slade as Robin's mentors. For as much of a jackass as some versions of Batman can be, it's almost never in doubt that Bruce genuinely cared about Dick. He saw a kid who suffered a tragedy just like he did and did everything he could to help him, opening his home and eventually his secret to him, training him to be a hero who could prevent others from going through what they did. And when the time came, he let Robin go to pursue his own path.
By contrast, Robin has never even seen Slade's face, except for the one time where Slade didn't have a face left to see, just a skull since he was a tad undead at the time. Almost everything about Slade is kept closed off and a mystery to Robin. While Dick actually got to know Bruce Wayne, Slade is to Robin basically like Batman is to everyone else. He only ever gets to see Slade on the outside, not who he is underneath.
Similarly, he outright forces Robin to be his apprentice, threatening to kill his friends if he doesn't do what he wants. While Batman took Dick in for his sake, Slade wanted Robin almost purely because it'd benefit him and further his own selfish desires.
A stronger argument for the parallel is that each Titan has their own little personal character arc throughout the series, usually best seen in their own personal season. Raven's is opening up and finding a new family with the Titans. Cyborg's is making peace with being a cyborg and confirming with himself that he is still a man. Etc. And Robin's is learning to lighten up and overcome some of the more negative traits it's implied he inherited from Batman.
Throughout the series and especially season 1 Robin has issues where he can be obsessive, close himself off, feeling like he can and even has to do everything on his own. Even sometimes showing the willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done, such as the Red X episode, where Robin threw aside his morals, lied to his teammates, broke the law stealing private property, and, as we later learn in another season, commissioned an actual supervillain to make the Red X suit for him, all in the name of trying to bring down Slade. While we never see Batman in this series, a lot of fans tend to point to these traits as stuff Robin likely learned from Batman, given how many versions of Batman tend to share those traits as well.
But all these traits are also things Robin shares in common with Slade, and Slade sees them as a good thing. He actively encourages them in Robin even. Praising him when he tried to attack him while his back was turned. Talking about how they're not so different when he'll do whatever it takes to try and take him down.
The potential future in the episode "How long is forever?" hints at this too. In that future, after Starfire's sudden disappearance for 20 years the Titans broke apart and each succumbed to their various issues without the others to help them overcome them like in the main timeline. Raven locked herself away for the safety of others, Cyborg let his machine parts hold him back, Beast Boy's confidence fell apart, and Robin, now Nightwing, completely isolated himself to do hero work alone, with the very first shot we see of his headquarters being turning gears, just like those in Slade's original lair.
Slade is the perfect villain for Robin; a Robin who only recently had left Batman's side. If his arc is about overcoming his own issues thanks to the bonds he has with his friends, who better to act as his antagonist than a man who tries separating him from those friends and actively encourages the very flaws he needs to overcome? After finally leaving his role as Batman's sidekick, what would be a bigger punch to the gut than being forced back into that role again, just with someone else?
While it's more of a stretch than what I'm already doing, you could also view Slade's relationship with Terra in the series as a twisted version of Bruce's relationship with Jason Todd, the Robin after Dick. Terra wasn't the ideal apprentice that Robin was, just like how Jason wasn't the ideal Robin compared to Dick, but Slade and Batman took them in anyway in a deliberate effort to alter the path their life was on, only while Bruce did it to keep Jason's rage from turning him into a criminal, Slade did it to make Terra into one. Both Terra and Jason died tragically in ways that can easily be blamed on their mentors, but while Bruce genuinely cared about Jason, Slade was always just using Terra and met his own demise along with her.
Part of the reason I made this thread is funny enough because I don't really like the push DC has made over the years to make Slade/Deathstroke more of a Batman villain, in large part because I feel like it's based in a very dismissive mindset of the Teen Titans, like he's too cool a villain to be in the rogues gallery of heroes so "small time". And I realized that Slade from the 2003 cartoon is one of the few times where I don't actually mind the comparison to Batman, because Slade is only a Dark Batman/anti-Batman in regards to his relationship with Robin, not Batman himself.
TL;DR: In regards to Robin's personal story throughout Teen Titans, Slade acts like a Dark Batman/Anti-Batman figure. He is the mentor better than him in every way but deliberately lacking in the love and kindness Bruce gave him. Robin's arc is him trying to overcome the more negative aspects that Batman gave him while Slade tries to actively encourage them.

Somehow I accidentally bumped into a bottle while fishing and when used, it transforms in an Emerald Sliver. This reminds me of the potato quests and so far I have found 15 pieces and am unable to find more or to advance in this mysterious adventure.
Does it have something to do with the experiment books lying around? Or is it something else?
Please send reinforcements, I am going crazy 😅

2023.06.08 11:04 bitchinwitchy Witnessed strange lights
| Back at the end of last year I had a series of weird things happen that I’m trying to process/get some insight on. It started a few months after I began experimenting with magic mushrooms. I had taken a fair amount of mushrooms before these events happened and hadn’t experienced anything out of the ordinary even taking probably close to 7 grams in a period of 2 hours or so - and did not have too heavy of a trip) I decided to start dosing before work which I figured would be chill as (like I said) I had already experimented and did not get visuals or feel particularly out of control. In fact it felt like I was a lot more in tune with my surroundings even driving and stuff. With that said, I started taking about 1 gram or so every couple days and around this time is when I met Sue - a homeless woman who would come into our coffee shop almost daily while I was barista-ing. I was immediately intrigued by her and we became fast friends. She told me she was 67, half miwok Indian, half polish, and she was always dressed in a colorful outfit, beautiful rings, with her nails painted. She’d tell me about her tarot readings and we’d share a cigarette while I was on break. It was clear when I met her she probably had some type of mental illness going on because she would sometimes talk loudly about arch angel michael, money from god, and things that didn’t make a lot of sense to me, but I tried to remain open minded and curious with her. I even offered her mushrooms but she refused saying she had “enough spiritual stuff going on in her life.” One day, after a particularly interesting conversation with Sue, I disappeared off to run an errand for my boss, when I came back Sue was gone and my boss handed me a tattered book. it was “A Life in Drama” a biography on Shakespeare or something of the like, and the outside of the book was covered in cryptic pen drawings like I’d never seen before. There was an inscription “June Sue I learn from you!” Which immediately brought me back to the first day I met her. She had drawn me and I had told her loved that I loved her name - she told me I should add it to my name and I agreed with her. “your guardian anglebirth” it read. And there was a sparrow hawk, trees, a ship all sort of in abstract pen drawing. On the front, in small ink, less than an inch, there was an almost abstract looking shape and in the center was the word “love” - she never told me what the shape was as she didn’t remember drawing it but later my therapist suggested it as a picnic basket. Anyway, a few days later I went and had it tattooed on my arm because I loved it. I was in the process of quitting my job around this time so I wasn’t seeing Sue as often which prompted me to think about when to go visit her. I was in no hurry to show her, I knew when the time was right I would go. A few afternoons later, after taking about a gram of mushrooms I bought 200$ worth and then went to see her. It was around this time that day I started hearing voices I thought at the time were god and the mushrooms themselves. It’s been a while since this all happened so my memory is a bit blurry, though I did write down most of what happened shortly thereafter. Anyways, there was something about Sue that I trusted. I really wanted to show her my mushrooms so I took her to my trunk. All I remember is sitting in the back of the trunk with her and all of a sudden these crazy lilac purple lights start shining down on me like I’m on a stage? This is in broad daylight on the street. I remember there was like a little noise they made I think, and it felt like i was in the twilight zone. It was so bizarre - I’ve never experienced anything remotely like it. And the only place they really shown down on was my face and neck (where I had lots of acne). As I’m like, what the fuck is going on Sue looks over and says something along the lines of “many gifts are coming to you.” ( like I said, never experienced ANY visions before and having Sue acting like she saw the light too makes me feel like something weird is going on. ) Later on back in her tent all of a sudden I start experiencing the most insane pain but it’s not physical. To this day I don’t know how to describe it but I was deeply uncomfortable to the point where I am SCREAMING in this woman’s tent and she’s telling me to quiet down so the cops don’t come and commit me. After that she gave me water, food, and it kind of felt like she could read my mind which is a phenomena I experienced a lot the next few days. Everything I needed she provided. I was completely depleted and weak. She was yelling at mysterious powers saying “earthangel June (me) does not deserve this!!” She told me I had been divinely poisoned by the mushrooms because I had not blessed them before ingesting them. Later that night she also tells me that her tarot cards told her a young woman would come to visit her and that I was she. I slowly came down a bit. Sue offered for me to spend the night, but I knew I wanted to go back home, though it was past midnight when I got home. I don’t remember much of the mundane time between - The next morning I woke and headed back to her where I spent another full day and find out both me and my dads debit cards aren’t working, and Sue is unsurprised (I’m starting to believe in this weird matrix of energy she’s talking about and feel like I’m targeted when I’m around her, or that she has some sort of bad luck) She dropped many lessons about God, energy, and demons and doing readings for people, which I started to come around to that day. I noticed that even people I would have avoided or felt unsafe with on my own, respected her or at least stayed away from her. I have a vivid memory of her saying “watch this!” And then with a lasso motion zapping me energetically so hard it makes me wince. That day Sue piled heaps of designer clothes into the trunk of my car which had been donated by the wealthy. As she does this she handed me a piece of paper that had printed on it what I later find out is a piece of “They’re made out of meat” by Terry Bison. They're made out of meat." "Meat?" "Meat. They're made out of meat." "Meat?" "There's no doubt about it. We picked several from different parts of the planet, took them aboard our recon vessels, probed them all the way through. They're completely meat." "That's impossible. What about the radio signals? The messages to the stars." "They use the radio waves to talk, but the signals don't come from them. The signals come from machines." "So who made the machines? That's who we want to contact." "They made the machines. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Meat made the machines." "That's ridiculous. How can meat make a machine? You're asking me to believe in sentient meat." "I'm not asking you, I'm telling you. These creatures are the only sentient race in the sector and they're made out of meat." She asked me if I remember the guy who comes into our coffee shop with a helmet on sometimes, and I say yes, and she suggests he might be an alien because she found this on the table after he left. It is clear to me now that day, November 29th I was beginning to open the question - who am I? I’d been curious of my lineage but also potential past lives. I went back home that night and At 2am still hopped up from the mushrooms I put on some clothes Sue had given me and got in my car feeling called to drive aimlessly. After 15 minutes I reached a glowing indigo Hyatt sign and immediately pulled in. I had just quit my Hyatt job and figured at the very least it could be a job opportunity for me there (as I had just quit working at a Hyatt) When I got there a short, beautiful, and politely unassuming woman greeted me at a desk amidst a beautiful well light welcoming room. She appeared to be completely alone and I immediately felt safe and welcomed by her, though I quickly revealed I wasn’t quite sure why I had intended to show up to the hotel. I went with the flow, the woman asked me if I’d rather be at a cheaper Hyatt down the road and I immediately refused. I went to use the restroom, when I came out there was a single strangely menacing, yet friendly guard. I hung around aimlessly, asking if I could sit on the marble countertops - dressing and acting as if completely in a trance and unashamed of myself and still high on mushrooms. The woman discouraged me because I think I would’ve been seen on the cameras. Instead, I sat down on a comfortable couch and began to converse with her. I felt She was gentle and good hearted but I also felt we were deeply on the same wavelength somehow. She asked me about my life, and I vaguely mentioned it was changing deeply - referring to my experiences with Sue and Psylocibin, without mentioning them. I stared deeply and intently at her, listening to her talk a bit, while in my head I asking questions in my mind “who will I have children with?” “Where do I belong in this life?” Feeling desperate and exhausted by those questions. The woman picked up her can of bright red coke with both hands, 3 fingers facing up on either side, and told me the answers would come to me in a dream. I broke out into surprised, joyful, and astounded laughter and exclaimed “holy shit!” Because in my state it seemed like she was totally clued into what I had going on. Then she said what translated to my trancelike state as something along the lines of, “this isn’t my first rodeo.” At this point, I’m still in an altered state and believe this hotel is somehow heaven? Once our conversation was over, we took the elevator up together, (I think she knew I was high and wanted to make sure nothing went wrong.) I asked for a room on the 4th floor, but she said an entire childrens soccer team was residing and that she’d give me the third. I laughed and thanked her. She asked me a few questions, I don’t remember what they were, but they were easy to answer and I only remember her saying “we just want to make sure what you took was clean.” I’m not sure what she meant by this looking back, but in the moment I thought she was asking me because there was something she didn’t want to share with me if the mushrooms I had taken weren’t safe. Like she wanted to check my purity or something (though I could be imagining that) She lead me to my room, said I could leave the door open, with the latch, when I wanted to come down, and did not give me a key and then she said that she’d be with me all night long. I put my things down, and immediately began to look at myself in the luminescent hotel room mirrors feeling a deep pain and sadness. I slowly and delicately put my hair up, washed my face carefully, got undressed and began to massage lotion into my skin for some reason? Then I looked in the mirror and began to squeeze the gunk out of my skin, believing that I am somehow ridding myself of ancestral curses - famine, disease, rape, pain. I started to form a story line around potential past lives. I’ll spare y’all the details of the rest of my episode because a lot of it still doesn’t make much sense to me. But besides the light I saw, it’s little coincidences that I keep coming back to in my mind that are so strange. Like, The next day I get a haircut, the barber is an eclectic guy and mentions my evil twin sister (something Sue also did) for no apparent reason (I’ve never met the guy before) afterwards I go to the kava bar and immediately meet a random girl who also seems to be in the middle of a psychotic episode. She starts talking about conspiracy theories and stuff and she tells me she is secretly a native woman who just appears to be a black woman. Then she pulls out a pendulum and refers to it as “this thingy” I’m a bit surprised because the night before Sue had shown me how to use one to read yes, no and maybe. I take my new friend Candace back home with me (she reveals to me she has another name she only shares when she feels safe) I don’t remember what it was but when I introduce her to one of my roommates as Candace he says “oh no it’s something more ancient than that” which I find really weird because he’s never met her before (how would he know she had a second name?) and it’s just a weird thing to say in general. I forget I have a therapy appointment that day and am all of a sudden skeptical of my therapist, Candace briefly meets her and then tells me “she was divinely sent” which makes me feel less paranoid and I remember expecting her to say something of the like. It’s also around this time I find 3 dead birds on a bike ride on the ground (3 different species) within exactly 11 minutes and they seem to stand out enough to maybe be trying to tell me something. I asked my friend who is a medicine woman to interpret the meaning, and it feels pretty on point to what happened looking back. In retrospect, not necessarily everything I’ve shared means something extra-ordinary, but I’m curious to hear some other thoughts on what happened, and the context. I put my things down, and immediately began to look at myself in the luminescent hotel room mirrors feeling a deep pain and sadness. I slowly and delicately put my hair up, washed my face carefully, undressed and began to massage lotion into my skin for some reason? Then I looked in the mirror and began to squeeze the gunk out of my skin, believing that I was somehow ridding myself of ancestral curses - famine, disease, rape, pain. I started to form a story line around potential past lives. I laid down in the bed, bluntly put, grabbed my vibrator, and spent hours with a voice in my head I believe to be the woman. She was gentle, wise and delicate, and when I touched myself I felt it was not me but her. She told me things I wanted to understand about original biblical references, the creation of Adam and Eve, or whatever names they were, and I saw and felt at times, that I was birthing other creations amidst the quiet, deep intense, solitude of our connection. It was deeply lovely. I looked at the clock and had an innate sense our time was coming to an end. Completely naked and feeling nothing but gratitude, love, and wonder, I opened the curtains and looked out at the most beautiful cloudy sunrise. I felt I was looking directly at god and not a word had been said all night inside the room. It was one of the most beautiful things ID ever seen - I was truly in it, and I just knew. I forgot, that when I had first checked into the room I had texted the man I was sleeping with, whom I loved, but was feeling confusion around as we were staying only casually connected. I regrettedly called him back (he had tried to call me earlier after I had sent him a series of cryptic texts like “some really cool shit is happening call me when you can.”) I asked him if I could come over, he said “I have some things to do today, can it wait?” I said “no” “he said I guess I can make the time then, or something along those lines.” Still in a complete trancelike state, I got in the car and frantically drove to his house without any real permission, which is painful to think about in retrospect. When I got there, I unassumingly rang the doorbell and he happily let me in as if, or as I thought, he’d been expecting me. I crawled into bed with him and felt safe again, like I had with Sue and with the woman whose name I had learned was Alexandria. I thought I could relax, but then immediately sex ensued again, and I felt both more and less control than I usually did when I was not in this strange state. I don’t remember much except screaming and crying loudly, calling his name and telling him I loved him (which I had never done before) and I remember him saying it back to me. I could feel my spiritual energy was so strong he was responsive to it which was terrifying as it was so new to both of us. In retrospect, I feel we were-him most of all, somewhat blind to what was happening. Sue had told me we had the power to hypnotize men, but I didn’t think I would be doing that so soon. Before I knew it he asked me if I had a condom. I said no only in my car outside. And he pulled out what almost appeared to be a flaming red one directly after asking me if I had mine. I don’t remember putting it on or taking it off. I asked if he’d had sex with anyone else and he said “last week” which was strange and hurt me because I thought we had been sort of accidentally exclusive for the majority of our relationship together - later he revealed he had not had sex. I recall holding his hand and showing each other the birth of creation, me showing him love perhaps, feeling balls of light and darkness as stars circle each other before they explode. After that I only really remember being on top of him, me in complete control, asking him to cum, him saying “I can’t” and then having a massive horrible realization, looking him straight in the face and saying, “ohhhhh you’re the devil aren’t you? You’re beautiful. Oh my god you’re beautiful.” He looked so beautiful and I held his face. Then I was professing my love for him again and again and again even though my heart was breaking as I did because I somehow knew the face looking at me was not capable of love. The rest was a confusing blur. I don’t remember much about leaving him except that it hurt me probably more than the spiritual pain I had experienced in the tent. I felt completely and utterly alone, heart broken, and terrified. Rattled, and in a daze I pulled up my phone directions, and drove for what felt like 20 minutes until I saw a beautifully insane woman, head hung low, dressed in black, almost like a shadow, sitting on the curb, both feet in the road. I slowed down, rolled my window, and asked for Sue. She said yes she’s already at the place with the TV, and she said she wanted something in return. She went to reach for my Bluetooth adapter and without question, I handed it to her. I had learned not to be afraid to lose things, my love and life was the only thing that mattered to me. I drove onward, got on the freeway, and in memory, passed exits I recognized over and over again driving for what felt like an hour, miserable and screaming and crying in pain and fear, windows rolled down wind recklessly pushing and pulling at me, and calling out for Sue, understanding I was time traveling. I remember most vividly seeing the words “Richard blvd” (the name of my exit to Davis” at least twice between sacramento exits. I attempted not to doubt, only to trust, I would arrive home, though I was terrified for my physical and spiritual lives. I don’t remember much about arriving home. I only remember being deeply relieved to be somewhere familiar again. I would stay in this state a few more days…until my parents pulled me out, I believed my mother had died and I felt such agony I was screaming in the room of my house, my roommates rushing in to comfort me. I was not in control enough of myself to remain on those realms in any capacity after the days I had been through. I needed to be recaptured reraptured in love only my family could give me. And I am forever grateful they took me home to them. submitted by bitchinwitchy to Experiencers [link] [comments] |

2023.06.08 10:38 Cannister7 Just need to vent about banks ( Commbank Australia)
So, because of the suspension of AUD payments to Binance, I opened an account with another exchange, did a small test send of funds yesterday and then today sent a larger amount to be ready to take advantage of current drop in prices.
So I get the usual call from the fraud team, ok no problem, it's annoying but I went through this a couple of years ago when I started investing, I'll just tell them it's all good, I intended to transfer that money, it's a legitimate platform (Swyftx) etc etc. But no, they have so many invasive questions - where am I sending the money, do I have anyone advising me, what (specific coins) am I going to buy, why do I think it's going to make money etc etc. I said that I didn't know what I would invest in, then I said ok, bitcoin and maybe a couple of others, she says which, I said I don't know why I need to tell you that, she said we need to make sure it's not a scam, I said, it's not, I've been doing this for a couple of years with binance, she said which other ones, I said just bitcoin, she said we need you to tell us the truth, I said ok, maybe polkadot , she said how do you spell it, I said I don't want this to be recorded, she said ok, I've paused the recording, I said ok, but I can hear you typing, why does this need to be recorded, anyway, you get the idea, we just went around and around. She asks why I think it would make money, I said that i had never said that it would, and actually, crypto wasnt just about making money, it was about taking control of my own money and if that meant the choice to make mistakes and get scammed then that was my choice, she then asked me which other platforms I already had crypto on. At that point I said fuck this and hung up. But then I had to wait another hour calling back because they've locked me out of my internet banking for a 'review' which may take 5-10 days. I said look, I don't care about that transaction, just cancel it, but you've got no reason to lock my account , she says yes but we believe you may be part of a scam and if we unlock it you might make another payment. I said yes, but if I do that you'll block it anyway, so you don't need to block my entire account.
On top of this, I said, when I started in crypto, I did actually get scammed and you making this call and asking me questions back then didn't stop it, so are you going to give me that money back because you didn't do proper due diligence? No, didn't think so. If you're really that worried about scammers then you should be checking out the platform that I'm sending it to, not asking me what I'm going to invest in and why, that's none of your business.
I'm closing my account as soon as they give me access.
Tdlr: Commbank Australia asked me so many invasive questions when I wanted to make a transfer to an exchange, ended up locking me out of my account

2023.06.08 10:37 jane-stclaire 38mm bands for my tiny wrist (6”)
Do these exist? I love my adjustable band, but it’s now the smallest size, and I constantly have to unlock my watch because it thinks it’s off my body. Really defeats the purpose when I’m working out.
I am looking for an adjustable band that goes down to AT LEAST 6”. I’ve been trying Amazon, but if the product does not specify the size, I will not bother. I am even searching for Kids' band's atm to no avail.
Please, small-wrist Redditors, please work your magic. I hate that my beloved old watch is becoming unusable.
