Stock futures are little changed Thursday as rally pauses: Live updates

Stock futures were flat on Thursday, as investors awaited the next market catalyst and digested the recent rally in stocks.
Futures linked to the S&P 500 ticked higher by 0.01%, while Nasdaq 100 futures inched down by 0.01%. Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained just 2 points.
GameStop shares tumbled roughly 19%. The video game retailer fired its CEO Matthew Furlong and appointed Ryan Cohen as its executive chairman.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite are coming off a down session. The broad-market index closed 0.38% lower, while the Nasdaq dropped 1.29%. The 30-stock Dow was the outlier, with a gain of 0.27% or 91.74 points.
“We’re in a bit of a news vacuum: Earnings are done, the debt ceiling is resolved, and we’re waiting for the Fed next week,” said Barbara Doran, CEO of BD8 Capital Partners on “Closing Bell: Overtime” on Wednesday. “It’s widely expected they will pause, but it’s really going to be important what their guidance is and what the [consumer price index] number on Tuesday will be and the [producer price index].”
Indeed, investors seem to be in a holding pattern while awaiting the Federal Reserve’s upcoming policy meeting on June 13 and 14. Economic signs suggest that inflation is inching down, even as it remains above the central bank’s 2% target. Wage growth, for instance, is slowing. Wages rose 5.3% on an annual basis in May, down 0.4 percentage point from April, according to data from Indeed. Markets are pricing about a 66% chance that the Fed keeps rates steady at the next meeting, according to the CME FedWatch Tool.
More economic data will arrive on Thursday morning, with weekly jobless claims and wholesale inventories due.

I’ve generally dated and hooked up with girls that are within a few years of myself but lately I’ve found myself quite fascinated with the idea of age gaps. I love taking on the role of someone more experienced and teaching someone else a thing or two, showing them new experiences, and maybe even learning a thing or two from them in the process. To that end, I find myself browsing subreddits like /collegesluts and I’d love to meet someone that’s in the 18-25 year range (I am flexible!). Let’s chat a little, meet for coffee or a drink(If you’re old enough!) and see where things go. I am d&d free, except I am 420 friendly.

Stock futures were flat on Thursday, as investors awaited the next market catalyst and digested the recent rally in stocks.
Futures linked to the S&P 500 ticked higher by 0.01%, while Nasdaq 100 futures inched down by 0.01%. Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained just 2 points.
GameStop shares tumbled roughly 19%. The video game retailer fired its CEO Matthew Furlong and appointed Ryan Cohen as its executive chairman.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite are coming off a down session. The broad-market index closed 0.38% lower, while the Nasdaq dropped 1.29%. The 30-stock Dow was the outlier, with a gain of 0.27% or 91.74 points.
“We’re in a bit of a news vacuum: Earnings are done, the debt ceiling is resolved, and we’re waiting for the Fed next week,” said Barbara Doran, CEO of BD8 Capital Partners on “Closing Bell: Overtime” on Wednesday. “It’s widely expected they will pause, but it’s really going to be important what their guidance is and what the [consumer price index] number on Tuesday will be and the [producer price index].”
Indeed, investors seem to be in a holding pattern while awaiting the Federal Reserve’s upcoming policy meeting on June 13 and 14. I met a guy about 5 years ago through mutual friends. Both of us in our mid 30's. We don't know each other super well, but would see other semi-regularly as part of wider friend group. One night recently after a few beers, he and I were talking when he told me a story from his "wilder days" (his words).
This is the story he told me, as best I can remember:
When he was in his early 20s, he dated a girl who was 20 years old at the time. She lived at home with her parents, and he would regularly stay over at her place. He would sleep in her bed with her at her parents house. He became quite close with her parents and would regularly have dinner with the girl and her parents at their home.
It was getting close to her birthday and he told her father that he wanted to get her something special for her birthday as it was her 21st. Her dad was really confused, and told him she was only 14, turning 15.
According to my friend, he was shocked at this information (which I don't know whether to believe or not). Apparently both the mum and dad tried to convince him that it was ok, and they were really happy their daughter was with someone mature and treated her properly. (I find this part of the story completely implausible. How could you become that close to someone and their family and not notice the school uniform in the cupboard, or start to wonder why you hadn't met any work friends?).
The part that shocks me most is that after a couple of days, he decided to continue the relationship. He continued to have a sexual relationship with this girl even after he became aware that she was only 14/15.
He told me that he ultimately decided to end the relationship a few months later as he didn't want to keep looking over his shoulder for the police to come and get him.
I was completely disgusted by this, and couldn't believe he was telling me this story as if there was nothing wrong. He's married now (not to the girl), and his wife was already aware of this story.
I feel like I need to report this to someone, but how, and with what information? I don't know anything about the girl, I have no evidence other than this story he told me, which he would obviously deny to the police.
This has been eating at me ever since he told me. I don't think it's right that I do nothing with this information.
What can I do?

Stock futures are little changed Thursday as rally pauses: Live updates

Stock futures were flat on Thursday, as investors awaited the next market catalyst and digested the recent rally in stocks.
Futures linked to the S&P 500 ticked higher by 0.01%, while Nasdaq 100 futures inched down by 0.01%. Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained just 2 points.
GameStop shares tumbled roughly 19%. The video game retailer fired its CEO Matthew Furlong and appointed Ryan Cohen as its executive chairman.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite are coming off a down session. The broad-market index closed 0.38% lower, while the Nasdaq dropped 1.29%. The 30-stock Dow was the outlier, with a gain of 0.27% or 91.74 points.
“We’re in a bit of a news vacuum: Earnings are done, the debt ceiling is resolved, and we’re waiting for the Fed next week,” said Barbara Doran, CEO of BD8 Capital Partners on “Closing Bell: Overtime” on Wednesday. “It’s widely expected they will pause, but it’s really going to be important what their guidance is and what the [consumer price index] number on Tuesday will be and the [producer price index].”
Indeed, investors seem to be in a holding pattern while awaiting the Federal Reserve’s upcoming policy meeting on June 13 and 14. Economic signs suggest that inflation is inching down, even as it remains above the central bank’s 2% target. Wage growth, for instance, is slowing. Wages rose 5.3% on an annual basis in May, down 0.4 percentage point from April, according to data from Indeed. Markets are pricing about a 66% chance that the Fed keeps rates steady at the next meeting, according to the CME FedWatch Tool.
More economic data will arrive on Thursday morning, with weekly jobless claims and wholesale inventories due.

I've not dropped my phone recently or anything like that, but my airtraiggers have suddenly stopped working on my Rog phone 5 ultimate
I've checked all the updates, I've restarted my phone
The only triggers that don't work are the main ones, rear slide triggers work fine as well as motion control
I've yet to factory reset my phone, but if you guys think that resetting will fix this issue i will do it

There are allergies that I bet none of you have heard of. A few seem common, like nuts or eggs, but other allergies, like water, you wouldn't expect to be possible. Right? And even if it were, how would anyone survive with that type of curse? It is real, and it's called aquagenic urticaria. There are only 50 medical instances known to science, and most of the people who have it have lived longer than you would expect. I'm not one of these people, but I have a condition far rarer. It is called Solisphobia pronusirrita. It is a condition, and I am the only documented human to have ever had it. When I was born, my mum told me that the moment the doctors put me in the nursery, the sun rays from the window hit my skin, and I immediately started to bawl my eyes out like I was about to die. While I was screaming, the doctors came and saw that my skin, where the sun had been exposed, was turning a light purple and grey. Immediately, they took me into a more closed area, and they diagnosed me with Xeroderma pigmentosum. It is a condition where you are irritated by sunlight. Not like what I have, more like you get sunburnt really easily. After around 3 days in the nursery, I was taken home with my loving mum and dad. As a baby, they said I was more silent than they expected. I only made noise when I needed something or had to go to the bathroom. They recounted my only experience as a baby when I cried, and that was when I accidentally went outside because they forgot to shut the baby gate. When I made it outside, they said they heard the most high-pitched, ear-piercing wail they had ever heard. When they rushed out, they found me on the ground covered in splotches of purple and grey. They immediately dialled 911, and I was rushed to the emergency room. When the doctor saw what had happened, he started to explain the severity of my condition. He said that with Xeroderma pigmentosum, some babies experience intense sunburns, and I was likely going to have to be treated with mild burns. When they took a closer look, however, they noticed I had no burns; my skin colour had just been altered. Obviously, this was nothing like they had seen before, so they started to document my state in case I had a new, undiscovered condition that needed to be documented for studies later on. When I was being treated, the doctor noted that the disease was hereditary. However, my dad quickly pointed out that nobody in either of our families had this condition. The doctor was obviously stunned and thought I had a new condition. After 3 days of treatment, they diagnosed me. I was allergic to sunlight. My parents immediately fought against this, stating that it simply could not be possible. They thought allergies were only related to pets or food. But the doctor calmed them down and explained to them what it was. "Your son does not have Xeroderma pigmentosum; it's purely hereditary, and he isn't showing any symptoms." What we have decided on is that your sun has an extremely severe skin sensitivity to sunlight. Xeroderma pigmentosum doesn't just apply to the sun; very bright and powerful light can have the same effect, even in cold environments. My parents were devastated. They had to take a break and leave the room while more tests were held to see what was truly wrong with me. Finally, after a full week, I was back home with mum and dad. I was around 2 by this point and had started to walk. The next three years were very uneventful for me. The only notable thing that happened was that my dog died. We held a small funeral for him and buried him in the backyard. I was 4 at the time and can vaguely remember choking on my tears as I sat inside and heard the shovel scraping against the soil and rock that became my best friend's tomb. I didn't go to preschool. My parents decided it was too dangerous, and the only preschool I could go to was around a 15-minute drive away. The school was much closer, however, so my parents thought it'd be safer and decided to let me go. They told me that they had a heavy argument over homeschooling but eventually agreed that if any incidents happened, I would be taken out of school and put in a damp room to be taught my ABCs by my own mum. On my first day, I sat in the room. My condition was only known by the teachers, and they made sure I stayed indoors away from any open windows on a sunny day. By the time the day was over, I felt upset already. I wanted to go outside and play; I wanted to have fun. Unfortunately, the choice of death or a few minutes of fun was completely different, so I managed to get over it after a few weeks. That's when the first incident happened, however. I was in my class when the teacher left, and out of curiosity, I followed her. Immediately, I felt a tingling on my arm, and then the numbness started to overflow my senses. I felt nothing at all as my arm started to turn a concrete grey, and I immediately ran into the room, crying as I rubbed my arm. The only thing I could feel was a slight tingle and an almost icey coldness from my touch. After around 30 seconds, the teacher came in and saw my arm. She let out an audible gasp, but before she could do much, the bell went off. She couldn't get me out of the room because of the sun, so she called a nurse. As the kids flocked in, they saw my condition and started laughing. I still remember the high-pitched voices squabbling among themselves. One of them came forwards, pointed at me, and said, "HE'S A VAMPIRE GUYS, GET AWAY." And everyone in the room sort of stepped back and kind of ran out of the class, either laughing, screaming, or even crying. That was the day the bullying started. I was eventually shielded with some loose blankets and taken home. I was crying in the car as I overheard mum and dad say, "We have to take him out of that fucking school. This entity made the sound of someone going "mmm," and it said, "I agree. You will be healed when you wake up. Your curse will be lifted. These are the only words a mortal has spoken to me and is likely going to speak to me for eternity." A flash of light then flickered as I awoke. My parents noticed me waking up and immediately hugged me. "He's awake. My James is awake." They sounded much less happy, but I could tell they were holding in emotions. It's been 10 years since that day. I do not suffer from that "condition" anymore. I can be in the sun, but I still feel uncomfortable under the rays of that entity. I have 3 chase cards currently: freedom, freedom unlimited, sapphire preferred. Both of the freedoms are almost 4 years old, sapphire preferred is 2. I am under 5/24. Is there anything stopping me from applying for and getting a freedom flex? I applied last year and was denied saying I had hit my limit of freedom cards. For context I have about 12 revolving accounts with various issuers, 1 car loan. Utilization ~5%, near 800 credit score. A little under $100k income.

I have an S10 that is pretty much doing what I need but I think it is about time I replace it considering it won't be getting any more updates and is from 2019.
My options are S20, S21 and Xperia 5 III all are used and around/under the 260$ price point where I live. I won't be able to use sim on them because of taxes so I have an extra phone for that therefore not too concerned even tho I am able to do so on the S10 because it is tax paid.
My priorities are pretty much a compact that is an overall upgrade over the S10. Xperia gives a 3.5mm jack which I would really appreciate but the issue is it will be stuck on Android 13 and the software isn't as good as far as what I have heard compared to Samsung One UI.
The issue with the S20 is also pretty similar also lacks 3.5mm but it is the cheapest of the bunch.
S21 looks like a good option but 3.5mm is still a compromise. I am not too concerned with the back plastic as I will most likely be using a case with all of the options tho it would have been nice.
I wish I could have gotten Xperia 5 III hardware paired with Samsung's One UI.

What did you guys switch to and how has the experience been so far?

This started 4 days ago. On day 0, my hand suddenly got rigid and stiff, which made me very anxious. Because of that, I only slept 4 hours that night. On day 1, I was still anxious, so I only slept 4 hours again. On day 2, I was VERY tired, so I decided I'd have a good night of sleep. But, since I got Covid, I have a very light sleep, I wake up 4-5 times every night. So, when I woke up 1 hour after falling asleep, I had an anxiety attack due to not being able to sleep, which ironically prevented me from sleep. Today, I spent the whole day with my heart racing, lots of anxiety, and couldn't sleep a single minute. I went to the ER, they did tons of exams, blamed anxiety and dismissed me.
Now I'm basically stuck on bed all day long trying to sleep, but it just doesn't happen. My heart keeps racing at 110 BPM. The irony is I know if I wasn't so scared I'd probably sleep, but I can't think about anything else. I just need a good night of sleep to think clearly again. I read terrible things about some meds like Ambien and Clonazepam, and am terrified of taking them. My doctor prescribed a "passionflower" med... which I found to be used as a recreational drug, so I'm scared again. I tried Melatonin and it did nothing.
I've read I can't actually die from insomnia, no matter how tired, confused and destroyed I feel. But I'm still scared as hell. Why is this happening to me? What can I do to break out of this cycle of anxiety and get a good night of sleep.

Some of the context:

• I never build a NAS server before.
• My friend asking me if I want a NUC N6000 minipc, its tempting.
• I have a media servemanager setup (plex/jellyfin/**arqbit) in my pc (linux/arch), attaching with 8TB 3.5 hdd.
• My TV in the living room can connect with media server via plex client (samsung one)

I was think to use this mini PC to mange those work above, instead of my PC.
I have problem is that, to connect the minipc with the storage drive, meaning I have to connect via a usb typeC with some sort of DAS interface connecting those 2 HDDs (maybe more in the future). I was lookup the wiki thread, most of the DAS is pre build and seem to cost quite a lot. I guess its costly because the ability of moving those storage arround need insurance. But to my I probably dont need it.
So my question are:

• Any clean/cheap way to buid a "box" to keep those HDD intact, connect them into on single usb type C, so that I can plug into my minipc, and mount them to use as normal.
• Is it safe to do it, how ppl normal solve this situation?
• If I keep those drive in my PC ( which is bad, because I could shut it down when I want to), does make it a network storage for minipc connect to main pc. Could do the job of managing those media. Is it crazy idea?
