28M
6’6” 210 lbs
Meds: Propranolol 20mg x2 a day. Desvenlafaxine 100mg once a day. Occasional 1mg Ativan once a day
HPI: 8-10 year history of alcoholism. Hospitalized in October 2022 after a week-long binge which landed me in the observation unit due to severe hypokalemia and hypocalcemia. Had echocardiogram in hospital which showed EF of 52%. Since then I’ve had awful dysautonomic symptoms and severe hypogonadism, along with full RUQ and LUQ pain
Just did an at home tilt test with the following results
Laying down: BP 122/77 HR 60
5 mins standing: BP 99/69 HR 122
9 mins standing (almost passed out and was sweating): BP 71/49 HR 71
Why is this happening? Could it be heart failure? Liver disease? I’ve had a negative shear wave ultrasound elastography aside from mild splenomegaly and liver labs have been normal but I’ve read cirrhosis can cause dysautonomia and hypogonadism. And I continue to have RUQ/LUQ pain

2023.03.27 03:16 StepwiseUndrape574 GTA Online Fans Discover Possible Hidden GTA 6 Assets Rockstar Added Years Ago
It's only been a few days since some interesting GTA VI gameplay was leaked. The leak, which was authenticated by Rockstar Games, confirmed the location to be Vice City, and that there would be male and female protagonists. Some eagle-eyed viewers noticed something about GTA Online, though. What they found was an art asset that seemed quite familiar. A texture asset specifically.
Those viewers of the leak video noticed a Vice City Metro sticker in the Arena War update for Grand Theft Auto Online that hit a while back. ViceCityMetroMule GTAO White Back Art Asset from Grand Theft Auto Online showing the Vice City Metro Mule Logo
The original tweet no longer displays the side by side imagery, unfortunately. The Arena War Update for Grand Theft Auto Online was release four years ago after all. While this is interesting, it is not uncommon for developers to re-use assets, especially if there isn't a significant change to the artwork. Asset re-use can shorten development time in most cases and it is not limited to video games. Many people are familiar with the "Pixar Easter Eggs" in that film studio's pieces. It's an excellent way to not waste development cycles on things like debris and common texture work that is repeated throughout the virtual worlds -- whether in games or movies.
It is also not uncommon for Rockstar to hide Easter eggs in their games that may reference other games in the same series, or different titles altogether. Bully even included a Grand Theft Auto vehicle asset in its shop class. Sometimes the developers just throw in things to drive community interest, such as the inclusion of Bigfoot in a later patch of GTA V. Another fun Easter egg is known as the "Mount Chiliad Mystery." When it was found, players suspected it meant there was a jetpack somewhere in GTA V -- there wasn't -- but one eventually appeared in a GTA Online Mission
gta online arena war t shirts T-Shirts from the GTA Online Arena War Update
It's definitely an interesting inclusion, but it's certainly not the only reference to Vice City within GTA V and GTA Online. There's an entire wiki article on Vice City related Easter eggs on the fan wiki for Grand Theft Auto. Still, this particular metro logo was not seen until GTA Online, and now in the unauthorized leak, so in a way, players had confirmation Vice City would be used in GTA VI, if they were paying attention and connected the dots.

2023.03.27 03:16 ms-frizzle 🙏 Thank you so much to this sub! A list of our favorite ideas we used in the wedding, from/inspired by this group + photos
I graduated from this group in October, and am so, so happy about the day (and every day after!). I felt lucky that we got to have a wedding that felt so aligned to
us. Our priorities were having a joyful day that centered our community (almost all of whom traveled to attend), gave us space to experience the day, and minimized waste without being draconian about it.
Overall spend for fifty guests in NYC was somewhere between $35k - $40k, including splurges on a few things like my dress & accessories. I loved all of my vendors, so if you're planning in Brooklyn/NYC and want a specific rec or even a template/file/specific thing, I would be delighted to share more. The structure of the day was:
- Ceremony in Prospect Park's Concert Grove Pavilion
- Guest "adventure hour" / photos
- Reception at Olmsted, a restaurant in Prospect Heights
- Walk with guests to a bar in the neighborhood for dance-y reception
So many of our favorite ideas were from or inspired by posts or comments from this group! I wanted to give back and highlight a list of less traditional ideas that helped us feel like our day was really ours and any tips for making them work as inspo for your day.
Photos of details and other moments here: 📷
https://imgur.com/a/9zycRTa - Pausing and stopping during the ceremony - Writing an explicit moment in the ceremony to look around and take in the moment
- Ceremony in the round and guests not rising during bride's processional - I dislike hierarchy and being on stage, and it felt so nice to be surrounded by rather than in front of people. We rented benches rather than chairs to make set-up easier, with the benches making a diamond. Our planner also positioned our families facing their "person" (my mom & dad looking at my face, for example), which was a clever detail.
- Vow book - Tip from this group that vow books seem extra but are worth it, and I totally agree! It was nice to hold something lovely rather than my phone or a scrap of paper. We are also hoping to revisit them annually and keep adding to the book. Mine are from Etsy.
- Wearing glasses during the ceremony - I (the bride) never wear contacts, so I knew I had to wear glasses during the wedding day. I never see brides do this, so wanted to normalize! I worked with my make-up artist to find falsies that worked well.
- Ring warming ceremony - Passed the ring in a small wooden bowl made by my partner's grandfather. Really loved this participatory aspect and worked well with the ceremony in the round. Instructions were given verbally by our officiant and described in the program. Went smoothly!
- Watercolorist of ceremony and guests - See photo in album! Katie (https://www.ramblingsketcher.com/) is amazing, and I am obsessed with what she painted every day. We framed the original and used prints as thank you cards.
- Petal throw - Ordered dried flowers from Etsy, made cones from butcher paper, lined guests up after the ceremony and did a petal throw walking down the stairs. Joyful, participatory, and great photo opp
- Zine wedding invitation - We made a hand-bound zine as a wedding invitation, which allowed us to tell our story to guests, include a poem, a crossword puzzle, print details about the day and what to expect, and more
- Board game guest book - I read this in a comment in this sub for sure, and thought it was brilliant! We love games, and I kept disliking most guest book concepts for us. We used the game Photosynthesis.
- Snoopy toss (replacement for bouquet toss) - Throwing a thing is so fun, and I loved the idea of making a guest's day by having them catch something. I was inspired by this sub mentioning throwing a stuffed animal, with the lore of whoever catching it being the next person to get a new pet. My partner loves Snoopy, so we tied extra fabric from my wedding dress hem to make a bow and just said he was a lucky wedding souvenir.
- Photos of parental figures without the bride/groom - Great tip from the sub! Nice for them to have a photo all dressed up
- Kissing bell - Almost didn't do this, because I didn't think people would ring it! But we found the perfect autumn-colored bell in a thrift store, and figured why not. Boy, was I wrong. People got a huge kick out of ringing it, and our photographer was able to get more smooching photos. And now we have on the bookshelf as a memento!
Happy planning! 💗 You got this!

2023.03.27 03:15 Jahonay How do you reconcile yourself with the impact Jesus and Christianity directly had historically on the North Atlantic chattel style slave trade?
As a person who's fairly interested in church history, and in the history of slavery I'm often the first one to inform Christians I talk to about the biblical messaging surrounding the treatment of slaves. I can understand a lot of readers here might be aware already about the passages in the bible, but for the sake of the post and readability, I'll outline it, and troublesome passages.
So slavery and chattel slavery were both outlined in the bible. Leviticus 25. Foreigners are to be kept as slaves forever, not to be released after 7 years. In exodus 21 it outlines how jewish women aren't necessarily guaranteed to go free after 7 years either. Exodus 21 also says you're free to beat your slaves to within an inch of death. Noah lays a curse on Canaan that he will be slaves of slaves to his brothers. Regardless of your individual reading of the curse of Canaan, the history of it played a monumental role in the North Atlantic Slave trade. For further reading, I'd recommend the Baptism of Early Virginia, How Christianity Created Race.
Jesus himself talks about slavery pretty often, often mistranslated as servant. But at the time, the greek word doulos strictly meant slave, as opposed to a free man. It's easy enough to look search through the new testament for the word servant, check the original greek, determine if the word used is doulos or not. There are other words that mean servant, like in matthew 20:24-28 where you see doulos properly translated as slave because otherwise the passage would lose it's meaning. Anyway, one of the most stunning examples for jesus is luke 12, where he tells a parable where he says a slave who accidentally does wrong should only be beaten lightly, but a slave who knowingly does wrong should be beaten severely. Then, in matthew 18, he tells a parable where a slave is tortured repay his debts after he himself is greedy and unforgiving. Lastly, he refers to the canaanite woman, and presumably all canaanites as dogs, and he would likely have been aware of the curse and persecution of canaanites. As a person who lived his entire life in a culture that allowed chattel slavery, that to me reads pretty clearly as tacit approval of the institution of slavery on the part of Yeshua.
Then there's paul, as you might already know Ephesians 6 and Collosians 3 both instruct slaves to obey their earthly masters.
The Catholic Church issued the papal bulls Dum Diversas and Inter Caetera, both justifying the enslavement of natives of Africa and the Americas. And they played a role in the Encomienda. As well as staying complicit in King Leopold II's reign, enslavement and genocide in the Congo. A thing the vatican has still not apologized for.
A common response I hear was that slavery was universal, but we know chattel slavery, and especially race based chattel slavery was especially nefarious. Also, we know most hunter gather communities did not engage in slavery, and a handful of recorded ancient societies/groups refused to engage in slavery. To say it was universal for all of human history until recent times is simply incorrect.
But, and perhaps most importantly, if you believe in a high christology, or even if you believe Jesus could just talk with God and have access to his infinite wisdom. How can you walk away feeling like Jesus is a good person by moral standards knowing that he actively talked about slaves surely being beaten severely? How can you resolve within yourself the belief that an all knowing, and all powerful, and all good entity(if that's your view) was tacitly supportive of one of the most heinous, cruel, and heartless systems throughout history? How can you reconcile yourself with the religious tradition of christianity that supported it for well over a thousand years? How do you reconcile yourself with the slave extraction of Africa, which did immeasurable amounts of damage, that to this day still has countless lingering affects. (See: How Europe Underdeveloped Africa). What is your reasoning for supporting a historically pro-slavery religion? And do how do you feel about it? Do you feel any guilt?

2023.03.27 03:14 Manmos10 D&D [5E] Pirate Themed Campaign [Online]
You are the scum of the sea you filthy dog. You have nothing but a dull blade or a jammed flintlock, and the clothes on your back... will you go down in history as a legendary pirate, or die a worthless piece of trash.
Hi, I am a forever DM and I am looking for a group of players to join for my newest campaign. It is pirate themes so lots of ocean travelling, considering making it into a little podcast of sorts for fun if the players are cool with it.
This campaign has been in the works for a bit over 2 years now, with lots of homebrew options, and fun stuff for players to mess around with. The campaign being pirate themed, a lot of sea systems such as sea combat on ships, ship to ship raiding, ocean travel being interactive and skill based, ship customization, survival elements, and plenty more for the players to mess with and use to their liking. Levels 1-20. All characters start with basically nothing, and yes that includes no spells.
I look forward to speaking with all of you to find the perfect band of pirates to sail the high seas with.
As for time of day and days played, I am open to all times, so I put the group together and find a time that works for all.
The salty smell of the sea, ever so pungent. A trade vessel, on its way to the Eastern Kingdoms suddenly runs into a marine ship. Expecting a normal stop and check, the crew goes ahead and drops the anchor. A cannon fires But what was that sound? The captain of the trade ship: Everyone to the lower decks, we are taking direct fire! Panic starts among the ships crew, and the passengers, children are in tears from the loud shots heard from the cannons The Marines continue firing even though the crew and passengers are waving, signaling, screaming begging for them to stop. Most of the crew down in the bottom of the ship are nothing but cold lifeless corpses from the direct fire and shrapnel, all in the effort to patch up the ship. The ship starts slowly sinking. Getting ever closer to being fully submerge. Most of the people still alive are grabbing onto floating scraps of wood and metal for dear life. The Marines took an oath to protect, so why in the world did they fire at them? They left without a second glance as if nothing happened. Corpses littered in the water, becoming nothing more than fish food, driving ever closer to Davey Jones locker. The all fainted while in the water from exhaustion after trying to stay above water for over 8 hours. The crew and remaining survivors wake up on a deserted island, somewhere in the eastern Kingdoms border from their best guess.
DM me if you are interested and please be interesting in the introduction. We are doing this Americas got talent style, so do not be boring if you want a shot of joining. Discord: Simpster#5953 As a side note, this campaign is going to be super long... probably longer than a year of regular sessions. I have over 5 and 1/2 notebooks filled with writing, images, notes, and stat blocks. This has been in the works for quite a while.
https://ibb.co/NCp9zMr is the map I made for the campaign.

2023.03.27 03:14 Weak-Classic7161 How do I get my motivation/love for training back
I’ve always trained alone and it never was a problem until a few months back. Training used to be the thing I looked forward to the most every day but recently it’s been the thing I’m dreading the most, to the point I only go once a week. I really want to find my love for crossfit/training back. I’ve tried different programs in the hope I would get the feeling of being part of a community but that hasn’t really been the case.
Has anyone gone through something similar, what helped you to get out of this rut?
Any programs that will make you feel like you’re part of a community? Unfortunately joining a box is not an option.

Hi all! I posted here a few months and got some amazing help from some awesome beta readers, and have been working on my next revision since. I've rewritten it almost fully and am feeling very strong about this, so I'm back for more help.
" It's hard to be a black sheep in a black sheep family, but Zaiyde prides herself on doing the impossible. She is shunned by the quiet children of Eelry for her loud and excitable demeanor, and at home she struggles with the desire for more than her tame town and boring life. So when her self-righteous cousin sends her off on a wild goose chase of an adventure, she thinks it's exactly what she needs.
That is until she meets Koriade, a gentle young soul whom she quickly befriends on her quest. Their time together is a high she's never before experienced, and it feels as though it's ended all too soon when they part ways to pursue their own personal journeys. Zaiyde finds her place in the bustling town of Sarton, where its inhabitants are just as rowdy as she is and a promising career as a warrior's apprentice awaits her.
But a year after separating from Kori, a mysterious creature called the Danzengesch begins to ravage the land in a spree of unbridled savagery and murder. With the help of an elusive guild, newfound friends, and her steadfast mentor, Zaiyde must find a way to save Kori before the Danzengesch adds him to the pile of dead bodies left in its wake, all while trying desperately to ignore the echoes of the things- and people- she left behind in what she once called her home. "
TW: Obviously as you can tell from the blurb, there's some violence and plenty of character death, as well as mentions of abuse, inhumane treatment, and extremely detrimental living conditions. There's nothing sexual or hardly even romantic, it's just a tad bit on the darker side when it comes to the plot.
I'm mostly looking for developmental feedback. I'll be polishing up scenes/wording/description a bit later in the process. I feel good about what I have written down as it is, but I'd like to get more feedback before doing polishing in case I spend a day fancying up one scene only to have to scrap it due to feedback.
So, I'm mostly looking for things like; does the plot feel interconnected? Do you understand everything? What are you confused by? Does it flow well? Is it a good length? Is the end satisfying? Do you like the characters? Things like that. Any plot holes you see, characters that you find particularly insufferable or flat, worldbuilding that seems incomplete, etc.
Obviously you're free to critique my grammar as well, I'd just prefer that not to be the main focus lol. My preferred timeline is anything under 1 month, but I can make exceptions if absolutely nessecary.
I am very open to a critique swap of anything 120k and lower. Fantasy is preferred; I can do sci-fi or dystopian just fine, I just might not understand it as well as you'd like. If your work has any explicit sexual scenes, just let me know where so I can skip over them. If you're interested, drop a comment or dm me! I love this community and am super thankful for it, so I'm excited to work with you all again. Thanks guys!

2023.03.27 03:12 Zaiyetz Guppy (female) lethargic, fins clamped, sitting on bottom a few days after giving birth.
Got some guppies to add to my community tank a few weeks ago (3 females, 1 male) and one of the females gave birth a few days ago. She seemed fine during the pregnancy and immediately after, but now her fins are clamped and she’s just sitting on the bottom of the tank gulping water. She’s not eating and can barely swim. It doesn’t seem like she’s being harassed by any other fish.
I don’t have a second filter or even an air pump to set up a separate tank for her right now and all of the pet stores are closed. I did do a big water change (50%) just now, though the water parameters were fine beforehand, I just thought it might help. All of my other fish are perfectly fine by the way.
Any ideas what might be going on with her and how I can help?

2023.03.27 03:11 whimmyam I desperately need help for my depressed rats
I have two rats, got them in April of 2022 at the same time as they are sisters.
In July 2022 I moved in with my mom to be her caretaker. I have two children, too small to play with rats. In November 2022 I got a new job which is long hours plus a commute. I spend the night at my boyfriend's 1-2 nights a week as this is the only time I can see him.
They don't play with any of the toys I try.
When I let them out of their cage they only hide somewhere and chew up my power cords. Getting them back in their cage usually takes up to a day. It's impossible to play with them this way.
They eat plenty of treats/snacks. It seems like this is the only thing they're interested in and they go back to bed. When I try to pet/play with them when they're in their cage, they only look for snacks or they nip at my finger as if they think I have something for them.
I don't see them play with each other either. They're either sleeping together or sleeping on different sides of the cage.
I have no idea what else to do. I love them and I want them to be happy. I wish I had known my life was going to turn into this busy mess. I don't want my babies to be sad or lonely, but I think I just don't have the time to give them the attention they deserve. I'm looking for any advice. From what I've Googled, a lot of it just isn't practical for me. I don't have hours to spend with them each day. I also don't want a lecture, please. I feel horrible enough as it is. I just need help

2023.03.27 03:11 LiquidLispyLizard The MCU and the SSU: How I think it all ties together within the next ten years.
After the new rumor from Cosmic Circus of Kingpin, Mr. Negative, Kraven, and Scorpion appearing in Spider-Man 4 came out, I think I finally get what Sony's doing with their long term plan. I realize this isn't generally popular among MCU or SSU fans since most I come across on both sides seem to want to keep the two completely separate, and this whole write-up may very well not be what they're planning at all because it's basically all rumors at this point, but just from the latest developments we've heard, both through rumors and official sources, this is what I can personally piece together. Keep in mind, I may word some or all of this in a definitive sense, but I don't know what Sony's actually doing and this is only my theory. Be aware: this will probably be a very long read.
* Kraven the Hunter (October 6, 2023) - More or less, outside of a few references to Venom and Morbius here and there, Kraven's probably gonna be a standalone movie, much like its SSU predecessors. The real tie-in comes in the post-credits scene, following up on Morbius (2022), where Morbius and/or Vulture come to recruit Kraven to their team, who have followed his actions during the movie off-screen, either through the news or otherwise, promising "the hunt of a lifetime" in reference to the MCU's Spider-Man (I think Vulture makes more sense here just because of his actual connection to MCU Spidey, but if they can't get Keaton back, I imagine they'd just get Leto to fill in. That version may not flow as well as the Vulture one, but we did all see the Morbius post-credits scenes, lol.)
* Madame Web (February 16, 2024) - Madame Web, I think is the first SSU-set film that could really set things up outside of just post-credits scenes due to the nature of the character and how she relates to the Multiverse. If rumors are to be believed and this movie introduces Ezekiel and the Spider-Totems (I apologize ahead of time because the Totems are something I've never really been familiar with in Spider-Man lore, so I may be uninformed during parts of this), I believe this movie is critical in setting up the overall endgame for Sony's plans, but more on that later. It's also rumored to feature Mary Parker carrying an unborn Peter Parker in a 2000's setting and this plot-point may be further expanded on by Venom 3 (explained after this). By the end of the movie (again in the post-credits scene probably, lol), either Webb will be confronted by Vulture and his team of Morbius and Kraven or the other way around, but somehow, someway, she is the vehicle that transports those three to the MCU, either via Vulture being the only one to go back and Morbius and Kraven accidentally being brought along somehow or Webb being threatened by the three and her being forced to transport them.
* Venom 3 (2024) - I don't expect this one to have any kind of huge ties to anything else to come after it, but I do think it can follow up on Madame Web pretty well. There was a rumor a while back (can't remember where, sorry) that mentioned how Venom 3 would see Eddie and Venom transported back to the SSU from the MCU and now on some kind of mission to hunt down his universe's version of Spider-Man. When he finds him, he learns he's basically just a kid grown up after being born in the 2000's in Madame Web (If Venom 3 takes place when it actually releases, that'll place it in 2024. If SSU's Peter Parker is born in the late 2000's, maybe early 2010's, let's say, that could place him at around 14/15.). With all that, Eddie has to end up protecting him from Toxin, they fight, he beats him, roll credits. Even if the actual film's story is completely different from this and doesn't even feature child Peter, I don't expect it to change the rest of what I'm theorizing, if anything, at all, because I don't think this version of Venom will factor into things again until much later down the road, especially Hardy decides to truly call it quits after this one.
* MCU Spider-Man 4 (July/December 2025) - This is where som things I mentioned before are finally paid off. As we all heard that CC rumor I mentioned in the beginning, I think at this point, Spider-Man 4 follows up on whatever happens in Daredevil: Born Again and sees Kingpin assemble and fund a team consisting of Scorpion (who I theorize has already been in contact with Fisk for a while now), Mr. Negative (who is one of Scorpion's "boys on the outside" mentioned in Homecoming), and a revamped Shocker. It's at this point that Vulture had already returned to the MCU with Morbius and Kraven, he's met up with Scorpion again, and basically merges their two teams together, forming the Sinister Six. I don't think the Multiverse will play a large role in this movie, despite Morbius and Kraven both hailing from another universe. For the most part, this could quite literally be played off as those two just being associated with Vulture from the last time we've seen him. Basically, that's the crux of the crossover and the film is mainly Sinister Six-focused. I also expect MCU Miles Morales to be introduced in order to establish his relationship with Peter and for himself to become a Spider-Man later on in this overall saga. In a post-credits scene, Peter ends up bonding with the remaining Venom symbiote left behind at the end of No Way Home. In another scene, I could see Madame Web showing up to take Morbius and Kraven back to the SSU.
* Various other SSU projects and spinoffs (2025-?) - It's at this point, I think that Sony's gonna just go for it in terms of releasing SSU projects. Maybe they get one or two out before MCU Spider-Man 4, depending on the July or December release, but for the most part, I see them going forward with movies like El Muerto, Hypno-Hustler, maybe that Sydney Sweeney Spider-Woman movie, Jessica Drew, so on and so forth, as well as their shows like Silk, Spider-Man Noir, and probably a few more that will focus on other Spider-People after the release of Spider-Man 4. I imagine these will be sprinkled in throughout the years in between the upcoming Spider-Man and Avengers movies. If they're successful, they'll receive sequels and more seasons and potential spinoffs, if they're not, they'll go the way of Morbius and be one-offs. Regardless, as long as they have at least one appearance beforehand, I see all of these characters as being important in that I think all of them will factor into MCU Spider-Man 6's big finale crossover that I'll explain at the end.
* Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars (2026 and/or later) - MCU Spider-Man, now wearing the black suit, will probably feature heavily in at least one of these films, but I don't expect them to factor into what Sony's doing since this is mainly the MCU's big projects. I also don't expect The Kang Dynasty to keep its current May 2, 2025 date, so that'll move it past MCU Spider-Man 4. Tobey and Andrew, I could see both appearing in Secret Wars and doing their thing, but I don't see them factoring into Sony's plans too much until the very end, that is, if they both make it out of TKD and SW alive, but I suspect they will due to what I think Sony's building towards.
* MCU Spider-Man 5 (after Secret Wars) - I see this film as being the one where, after Spidey has wrestled with the symbiote on and off during the Avengers movies, he's realized it's become a problem and he needs to get rid of it somehow. Long story short, he does, and it bonds to Mac Gargan, who was beaten at the end of Spider-Man 4. Since this symbiote is technically a spawn of the SSU's Venom, much like how Carnage was, I envision this version of Venom being inherently evil and much more of a monster than the one we've seen bonded to Eddie, which fits well with Mac Gargan's revenge arc he goes through in the movie. But because Spidey is who he is, he beats Gargan's Venom, the symbiote's either contained or gone at that moment, everybody lives happily ever after, you get the point. Miles Morales also returns in this and at some point discovers that Peter is Spider-Man. The post credits scene involves Miles Morales being bitten by a spider and realizing what that entails.
* MCU Spider-Man 6 - Well, this is it, this is what the past however many years have been building to and the ultimate endgame of Sony's plans to this point and it's far simpler to explain than most other projects on this list. Someone like Morlun or Knull or any large, potentially Multiverse-ending character is the main villain in this, probably having something to do with the Spider-Totems established in Madame Web (again, I know nothing about these, lol). This means that literally everything Spider-Man ever factors into this movie. MCU Spider-Man's the lead, of course, and he's been working with Miles Morales and helping him become Spider-Man alongside him since the last film and, at this point, Madame Web is the one to kind of bring everyone together to save the Multiverse: MCU Peter and Miles, Tobey, Andrew, Hardy's Venom with a grown up version of his Spider-Man (depending on if Venom 3 goes that way), every other SSU lead we've seen up to this point, possibly the animated Spider-Verse stuff, maybe certain Spidey villains left over in the MCU, Tobey's, and Andrew's universes, as well. Basically, this is just a colossal crossover and a love-letter to every corner of Spider-Man's multiverse over what would possibly be 3 decades at this point. There's a big sacrifice at the end from Holland's Spidey (and maybe Tobey and Andrew as well, though Holland's I feel would be the most important one), the main villain's defeated, and the Multiverse is set right once again. Following this, MCU Miles Morales fully embraces his title as Spider-Man and swings off into the sunset, becoming the main MCU Spider-Man who leads his own films going forward.
Okay, so I know that was a long read (I did warn you, lol) and I realize that some or maybe all of this is wrong, but that's the fun of theorizing, so I hope nobody takes this incredibly serious, it's just one possible route Sony's taking with their future plans. I hope you did enjoy reading it, though, it took me like an hour to write all this out and longer than that to think it up, but this was fun, so thank you for taking time out of your day to swing by and check this out!

2023.03.27 03:10 AndreyDidovskiy The 5 Biggest Opportunities Making Cryptocurrency Great Again & a few pointers on how to do it

This is NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE!!! For many people around the world, 2022 will go down in history as one of the most difficult investment years. As the dust settles & investors begin to regain confidence, it is extremely important to front-run everybody & capture as much of the upside as possible. Regardless of the market cycle (bull or bear), new ideas are always popping up & brave investors are always willing to take a chance when they see the opportunity is right. Well, opportunities are knocking & it is our job to understand which door(s) we must open. https://i.redd.it/ikj5svpfm6qa1.gif Before we dive in, let's first define a few key points that constitute a “big” opportunity: TAM (total addressable market) The actual size of the market. This includes both the number of users & the monetary value. Growth potential Will the TAM grow moving forward or will the market stay roughly the same size? Competition Competition is a good thing because it means there is demand, however, if there is too much competition a market becomes saturated & returns are distributed horizontally. (we want vertical returns baby) Desirability Who wants what & why? What are the most painful, underserved, & necessary ideas? Most hated by regulators If they hate it, there must be a good reason. Governments hate things that can put them out of business. Government is a BIG business… Totally missed by regulators Government moves very slowly. What are they missing that entrepreneurs can capitalize on? https://preview.redd.it/lkm71ui9m6qa1.jpg?width=2100&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=859d6b0400a164246cb783ace084541200f6ff80 -Biggest medium-term potential. -Not facing any regulatory headwinds at the moment. -Strong steady growth anticipated. -Modestly competitive landscape, no games/projects on the level of Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, or Runescape. Gaming is one of the most intuitive sectors to be exploring for benefits from the coming market cycle. Built on tightly knit communities & almost entirely digital in its nature, gaming appeals to a broad audience of individuals who are prime to become users of digital assets. This nascent sector of the regular economy will bring in $365.60 Billion in revenue this year & is expected to grow roughly ~7.17% per year. One of the most lucrative possibilities in terms of cash flow due to massive margins. There isn’t much pain here to solve with blockchain tech, but the potential of being disregarded by regulators will bring tons of attention here. How to address the opportunities in gaming with crypto? NFTs primarily. In their current form, I colloquially refer to NFTs as “non-financialized tokens” because of their strong retail appeal; pictures of monkes are more relatable to regular people than the cold numbers on a trading terminal or spreadsheets. Gamers are typically not caught up in anything else much outside of their games — it would be best to keep it that way. Trying to financialize their processes with cryptocurrency will likely dis-incentivize people from playing the games with it’s complexity. However, building out online gaming guilds (DAOs) with the use of NFTs will garner stronger communities. Rewarding players with exotic in-game assets that are owned by them & can be transferred between games holds a lot of promise. \ Personal note:* Don’t look for promises of fully on-chain games (that is resource intensive & not sustainable or scalable, yet) consider looking for infrastructure providers (ENJ), Guilds (YGG) or possibly in-game objects such as metaverse lands (Otherdeeds). https://preview.redd.it/0f4atxjam6qa1.jpg?width=2090&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1d3035d64f484410b01f6d53cc4006e471ee9b43 -Biggest long-term potential. -In a regulatory gray-space (not hated, nor loved) -Always going to grow over time (assuming for no cataclysmic events) -Currently VERY FEW competitors ( Maple finance, Centrifuge, GoldFinch) Nearly impossible to accurately pinpoint the true size of this market, but the sums are calculated in the Trillions. Real World Assets represent the vast majority of all the world's wealth. This includes everything from government bonds to real estate, to company debt & everything else in between. This segment has been receiving some flack/pushback from notable people in the industry namely Andre Cronje talking about the “death of RWA”. His point is valid that this category is NOT TRUE DECENTRALIZATION, however, I cannot help but see the incredible potential as it continues to flourish. How to capitalize on the opportunities in RWA tokenization? This sector will obviously be built with a lot of overlap into tradfi. So capturing this opportunity might be most suited for companies/enterprises, more so than individuals. Nonetheless, there are a few interesting ways for people to benefit; - go to an existing RWA tokenization operator & leverage your business history to take out an on-chain loan - take advantage of early stage incentive programs for participating in lending through these operators - build out a DECENTRALIZED RWA tokenization engine/protocol run by a DAO \ Personal note:* I do not own & will not recommend buying the tokens of these platforms, however it might be worthwhile to not completely rule them out. ( CFG — GFI — MPL) https://preview.redd.it/kubvs7qbm6qa1.jpg?width=2100&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=19a8238e3e80c477771d56fad0f747987d6b78a6 -Largest risk-adjusted opportunity. -HATED by regulators. -Strong steady growth is almost certain. -Difficult competitive landscape, due to extreme technical requirements in knowledge, skill, & funding. The hottest segment for those looking to stick it to the government. The key word in this is “decentralized”. Centralized stablecoin issuers will be faced with the same regulatory issues as banks & other traditional money service businesses. Those issues will trickle down to consumers & ultimately serve no real benefit to the end users. The task is enormous & many brilliant people have attempted to solve this problem. Of those attempts, out came a graveyard filled with ≥ 23 failed ambitious projects. It would be softly said that nearly every one of the failures in this space has resulted in catastrophe for its participants. There are a tiny handful of projects that can serve as a “successful” case study in the space that comes to mind: - MakerDAO - with their DAI stablecoin. - Frax Finance - with the FRAX stablecoin - Reserve Rights - with the RSV stablecoin - Decentralized USD - with the USDD stablecoin How to capitalize on the opportunities in Stablecoins? Stablecoins are the most nuanced segment in terms of capturing value because there is no real direct growth here. Growth in Stablecoin’s represents an increase in supply/underlying collateral. Capturing the upside here depends on creativity & which side of the fence you want to be on; creator or consumer. - Leverage new expanded collateral models, - explore/test new algorithms - expand cashflow opportunities of stablecoin protocols to sustain market shocks & unprecedented failures. (i.e. have a protocol BUY its own stable-assets to serve as an emergency form of insurance pool ← still not financial advice) - lend/borrow, with cross-collateralization, to maximize yield (still NFA) - have exposure to the protocols overseeing the minting of decentralized stablecoins (MKR/RSR) https://preview.redd.it/smut0bfcm6qa1.jpg?width=2090&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e900b92c46039695ff3fddb3ccb3f02663a5c57 -Uncapped & untapped market. -Can’t be/won't be stopped by regulators. -Growth potential is directly tied to human population & development 😲 -Modest competitive landscape with no clear leader or solution available. Decentralized Identity is still in its infancy & by the looks of it will require a multitude of separate solutions/issuers. This is the wild west for innovators in the space. As it stands there are ~103 different methods that are recognized by the Web3 alliance for building decentralized identity. One of the most counterintuitive, but potentially exciting ideas that was brought to surface by Vitalik Buterin is the concept of non-transferable tokens called ( SBT) Soul-Bound Tokens. How to capitalize on the opportunities in decentralized identity (D.ID)? There are actually a multitude of creative ways to take advantage & capture this opportunity; mostly through the use of NFT’s - Join early stage projects building some form of decentralized social media & capture the namespace. - Leverage your existing web2 reputation to become a thought leader on early stage platforms - leverage as many web3 platforms as possible & farm the incentive tokens - launch a project in this space & look for funding (if you have an actual solution) \Some projects to gain inspiration from:* Civic (CVC), Serto, Nametag, Fractal \* Great primers on D.ID. →* Dock.io → Consensys → Ethereum.org https://preview.redd.it/sma9t79dm6qa1.jpg?width=2100&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e77322bcacaa3811fafac96187b1291fa55de016 -Largest Short-term opportunity. -HATED on by regulators. -Growth is always going to fluctuate as old projects die & new ones arrive - EXTREMELY competitive. Decentralized finance is the future of all finance; it is simply a matter of time until we drop the first half of the term & just call it finance. This segment of the crypto economy is always ripe with opportunity (even in bear markets). Primarily because it is the most competitive segment of all the others (in terms of total number of projects & the rate at which new projects pop up). The interesting thing here is the reason for so much competition… It is super easy to spin up a “DEFI” project… Innovation is/has been basically non-existent. Most of the projects that you will find are going to be copy-pasta clones of one another with some minor adjustments. Nevertheless, the space is flush with attention & incredible metrics: - Floating a market cap ~$100B ( source) - Over ~$90B TVL (total value locked) - Exists across >130 different blockchain ecosystems How to address the opportunities in DEFI? Simple. Dive into everything without doing any research & hope for the best… THIS IS A JOKE! DO NOT DO THIS! As in the case with any other trade/investment there is one golden rule to guarantee profits: GET IN EARLY while Marketcap is LOW & ride or die baby. Some other things that might be worth trying - participating in protocols before they have a token & hope for an airdrop - provide liqudity to promising crypto pairs on DEXs (before price skyrocket) - NFA: leverage yield & build compounding systems across chains (advanced) - research strong incentive programs & farm their token \ leading projects:* AAVE, dydx, Synthetix, 1inch, Balancer, SushiSwap These are the 5 sectors of opportunity that I am currently watching; there certainly are a few other very promising segments with massive potential that I will be writing about in the near future: - Privacy (ZKsnarks/rollups, etc..) - AI meets blockchain - Oracles & data verification - Multi-chain bridges but as I have learned the hard way; It is better to stay focused & catch some gains rather than getting lost in the chaos & missing everything. https://preview.redd.it/yfe1wx6em6qa1.jpg?width=1368&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e0d2e1d4563a3fa5be337d2fc4998460a678bf8c Thank you for reading; I hope this information serves you well on your crypto journey! 2023.03.27 03:10 LiquidLispyLizard The MCU and the SSU: How I think it all ties together within the next ten years.
- Kraven the Hunter (October 6, 2023) - More or less, outside of a few references to Venom and Morbius here and there, Kraven's probably gonna be a standalone movie, much like its SSU predecessors.
- Madame Web (February 16, 2024) - Madame Web, I think is the first SSU-set film that could really set things up outside of just post-credits scenes due to the nature of the character and how she relates to the Multiverse.
- Venom 3 (2024) - I don't expect this one to have any kind of huge ties to anything else to come after it, but I do think it can follow up on Madame Web pretty well.
- MCU Spider-Man 4 (July/December 2025) - This is where som things I mentioned before are finally paid off.
- Various other SSU projects and spinoffs (2025-?) - It's at this point, I think that Sony's gonna just go for it in terms of releasing SSU projects.
- Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars (2026 and/or later) - MCU Spider-Man, now wearing the black suit, will probably feature heavily in at least one of these films, but I don't expect them to factor into what Sony's doing since this is mainly the MCU's big projects.
- MCU Spider-Man 5 (after Secret Wars) - I see this film as being the one where, after Spidey has wrestled with the symbiote on and off during the Avengers movies, he's realized it's become a problem and he needs to get rid of it somehow.
- MCU Spider-Man 6 - Well, this is it, this is what the past however many years have been building to and the ultimate endgame of Sony's plans to this point and it's far simpler to explain than most other projects on this list.

2023.03.27 03:08 AleaRose22 Dom takes forever to reply back.
My Dom always takes forever to reply back to me usually from 2-6hours he says he works a lot and never has any downtime. That’s why he takes so long. I even asked him if he would be willing to give me an hour out of his day where I’ll have his constant attention and he said he couldn’t because he works so much. And now it’s becoming hard on me. I don’t expect attention constantly. I understand working but he always takes long periods of time to reply back to me. Is this a red flag? I was talking to some in the community and they say he’s just not in it. Or has a relationship that I don’t know of. I just want to get second opinions.

2023.03.27 03:08 milkants Currently without a PC, need one for gaming and music production
What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
- Gaming, and I'd like to be able to play fairly graphically intensive games like Devil May Cry 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, the Resident Evil Remakes, Sea of Thieves, Battlefield 1, etc. I don't feel a strong need to be able to run them all at max settings, but I'd like them to look nice and to be able to enjoy them at high framerates.
- I also like to watch YouTube videos on my second monitor while I play games which have less of a story or a need to give them my full attention. I'd say being able to multitask and process multiple things at a time is also an important thing to be able to do with this build.
- Music production, using FL Studio 21. I'd like to be able to easily use plugins that my old pc (which I believe had an i7 7700k) was unable to run, such as iZotope's Ozone Imager. Music production is something I want to enter into more heavily and I'd say is more of a priority in this build than gaming, ultimately. As long as I can enjoy my games I don't need to be running them at the absolute highest level of performance. With music however, I'd ideally like for there to be as few limitations as possible on what I can use. Within reason and budget, of course.
What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?
When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc)
- Would you all say that generally I should be buying a new tower? Mine is 5-6 years old, but I was open to simply buying new parts which are compatible with it and re-using it for this new build.
- This could help reduce the cost of the build, and my tower also has a few stickers on it which hold some sentimental value to me. Ultimately it's not too important to me that I use the same tower though, and if it being potentially worn-out after all this time is a concern, I'd rather avoid having any issues because of it down the line.
- I believe it is a midtower Phanteks Eclipse p400 with tempered glass, but I'm only 99% sure of that as I don't know how to find out the exact model. If that also makes it too risky to buy new parts which might not fit, I understand.
- In that case, yes I would need a new tower included in the budget.
- I also need a new copy of Windows 11.
Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
- I don't have the exact model information in front of me, so I apologize for the imprecision;
- I have two monitors from Dell, one 1080p and one 1440p. Both connect via DisplayPort cable.
- The 1440p monitor is Nvidia G Sync Compatible.
- Razer Ornata Chroma keyboard.
- Just some generic USB mouse. Most of my peripherals such as my ps5 controller and my Blue Snowball mic I connect via USB, keyboard included.
- I use Sennheiser HD 450SE headphones, which I currently connect using a 3.5mm audio jack. They are however Bluetooth, and on this new PC I would very much enjoy built-in Bluetooth functionality so I have the ability to connect them wirelessly.
Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
- I've never overclocked before and am unfamiliar with the process, however my last PC had the capability to.
- So yes, it's something I would be interested in learning to do down the line, but is not something I plan to do right away in all likelihood.
Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
- I'd like a small SSD of around 250-500 GB to install the OS on, also including room for anything else I find necessary to install or store on there like Discord, search engines, things which occasionally prefer you install them on the C drive.
- An HDD with around 2-4 TB to install games and music production software on
Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
- If using the same case:
- It is a mid-tower
- It has a tempered glass window
- It has a red-and-black colour scheme and I would prefer all the components match this.
- If buying a new case:
- I'd like to stick with a mid-tower that has a window and some LED lighting inside.
- No specific colour scheme but probably black for the most part with accents possibly being in colour.
Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?
Extra info or particulars:
- Sorry if I didn't fill this in the most orderly way, I mentioned some of this above but:
- Built-in bluetooth capability would be nice
- The ability to add or replace storage over time
- A window so I can easily open it up and clean it of dust
- Liquid cooling is good I think

u/n3eon, remember when you said you could help? Well, yeah..
This is the essay i made, i pinged you here cause my DMs weren't working and i couldn't private message you.
I wanted to see if this post is factually accurate or not. I really don't wanna spread misinformation and I don't pay much attention to Japan so i can't really know if i got my facts right.
Start of essay:
The story of NORTHEPTION. An APAC Japanese rags to riches story.
Disclaimer: This org has a very long history and im not really familiar with the Pre-BLAST system of Japanese R6 History. There may be a few parts i get wrong or looked over incorrectly so please forgive my errors as Japan is not a region i actively monitor.
I'm also not gonna go thru the whole history of this organization since this org has been in siege for 4 years with 4 years of constant roster changes. If i were to describe everything here, it would be a 10K word post and I'm not doing that lol. I'll skim thru the non-important parts.
So, why did i make this post? It's cause this roster story is INSANE. As i was researching more and more, I found myself to be baffled at what this roster did. This roster has it all. Upsets, revenge, failure, redemption, high stake moments, rags to riches. It's one of the most beautiful stories I have ever seen in Esports and i hope you will enjoy me explaining it to you!
Enjoy the post!
So your starting your day. You get your premium coffee because your a relatively wealthy Japanese citizen that owns an Esports organization called NORTHEPTION. Your looking into siege esports for a possible investment. As weeks go by, you finally see this team, this Japanese roster. A team just won the Japenese CL S10 Qualifiers. They are orgless. They look promising so you decide to sign the team on October 5th, 2019. You feel happy as you are now in the Siege ecosystem and the players are delighted by having their first org. Little did you know, that this would be the most roller-coaster of a decision you have ever made in your life.
2019-2020
The team is formidable but they aren't dominant either. As the league gets incrementally more competitive, NORTHEPTION are forced to make more and more roster changes. They made 10+ roster changes in these 3 years.
The only players that you need to know from this hectic constant roster change frenzy time period is CoPaHiPo and most importantly, Febar CoPaHiPo joined on October 12th of 2019 while Febar joined this roster on June 5th 2020.
The team's first real tournament in 2020
APAC tournaments in 2020 are vastly different then NA, EU, or LATAM tournaments. APAC prioritizes grassroots expansion, ensuring that everyone who is good can play. Thie leads to T1, T2, and T3 Japanese teams playing against each other constantly.
In Japanese R6 Esports, there is a tournament called the "Japanese Invitational". The Japanese Invitational is, in short, an Tier-1 thru Tier-3 open tournament for the best T3-T2 Japanese teams to battle thru qualifiers to win. After they qualify for it thru Opens, they have to go into playoffs with stronger Tier-1/Tier-2/Tier-3 teams. The highest placed non-tier Tier-1 team at the event will qualify.
So they're obviously gonna try to win this thing. After making constant roster changes, they go thru the open qualifiers and actually get first in the open. They beat every other team and even the best Non-T1 Japan team, Sengoku. NORTHEPTION after an upset, are qualified for Japanese playoffs with the potential to make relegations if they are the highest placed Non-Tier 1 team.
Their competitors are a Tier-3 Japanese team named Eva. Eva gets bracket blessed and gets a Tier-3 team in the first round while NORTHEPTION gets a Tier-1 team in the first round. It's extremely unfair to say the least...
In October of 2020, they fail to qualify for relegations after they get beaten by guts gaming 2-1 in the first round while Eva beats their Tier-3 matchup in the first round. It's very unfair to NORTHEPTION and Eva ends up losing to Tier-1 teams just like NORTHEPTION did but since Eva made it to round 2, they end up going to relegation qualifiers.
This is heartbreaking to come so far only to get screwed by an unfair bracket. This drains the team's mental and puts them in a dark and rough spot.
Constant failure in 2020-2021
Days after failing to qualify for rels, this shining T3 team gets their best players poached at the end of 2020.
- Febar leaves NORTHEPTION and he leaves to go join one of THEE best T2 Japanese teams, Sengoku. This T2 team will head to relegation against a Tier-1 team at the end of 2021.
- CoPaHiPo leaves NORTHEPTION after Febar does for another Japanese team.
Since NORTHEPTION proved themselves in 2020. They got invited to the new Japan League that's apart of the new FACEIT League for 2021.
After losing their best players at the end of 2020, NORTHEPTION aren't competitive enough for the 2021 Japanese teams that year. They don't make 2021 relegations for APAC North after getting grouped. They even get relegated from their own league. The roster has run it's course. It's time to wipe it.
The Roster Rebuild after failure
So, you've just been relegated. What do u do? You scrap the roster of it's worst parts, probably keep the best player on the roster and rebuild.
Remember the 2 ex-north players i told you to remember about earlier? Rebar? Well, he got dropped just before relegations and the team didn't wanna play with him over another player. Ironically, that T2 roster ends up losing to a team called "Reject" and they end up getting promoted to PL.
So what now? You scrap the whole roster and start a foundation with Fmr player RebaCurrent player Marol and pick up 3 of the best players that you saw promise in.
- There was a T3 roster called "ORTHROS GRIT" that went thru Opens qualifiers for a 2021 Japanese event. This was a relatively new rookie t3 team of aspiring new players that qualified thru Opens. Surprisingly, they beat NORTHEPTION and top their group (2nd) to go to playoffs. They are against Tier-1 FAV Gaming in round 1. Everyone thinks, oh, FAV are gonna destroy them 2-0. What ends up happening is that FAV get 0-7'd on their first map then bring it back 8-6, 8-6 on the 2 other maps to win it. These rookies had potential. (2/5ths of Orth Grit had joined Fnatic later on and 1 other is in PL)
NORTHEPTION during the rebuild sign the 2 promising rookies from the Orthros Grit roster Vbort and Tyopi and then they finish it off with a signing of CoPaHiPo who previously played with Febar on NORTHEPTION years ago.
NORTHEPTION basically starts over again in T3 with an experienced trio of Marol/FebaCoPaHiPo + 2 new promising rookies. This is the roster in March of 2022.
1 month later in April... Turmoil strikes the roster in the heart. Vbort is so good that he gets invited to a Japanese Tier-2 team named IGZIST so he obviously takes that offer. The now 4 man roster decides to drop Marol too. It turns to a 3 man roster. What makes the timing so harsh is that the open quals for Japan's national league is in 2 weeks so they need to find players FAST.
They do open tryouts, similar to the one Beastcoast/CAG did in 2022 where they put out a google docs page on twitter and ask for your rank and any scrim clips you have. From these open tryouts, they signed a player with no competitive experience, "Nina", on April 28th of 2022. Little did they know at the time that this high risk pickup ended up becoming the best player on the roster. A very similar story in North America with DarkZero player Panbazou.
- NORTHEPTION's 5th ended up being a temporary Ex-CAG Pro player named "Shokei". He had experience and would make a good temporary slot in. Sort of like J90/Lags slotting in for Soniqs in North America. It was never supposed to be permanent, only to make sure that they could play.
Now a rushed and newly made Japanese T3 team, they move to enter their first competition in the new format.
Testing out the new roste1st Japan Nationals of 2022
- 2022 Japanese Competitive Format Explained: The format is a T2 League that has Tier-1 teams in it. All teams in this round-robbin league are automatically invited to the "Japanese League Playoffs". The top 5 in the league immediately skip "Japanese Playoffs Groups" and move straight into playoffs. T3 teams can enter the "Japanese Playoffs Group" stage by going thru a grassroots open qualifiers. After winning playoffs, the T3 teams play in groups with the non-top 5 Japan League teams. At the end of the year, the highest placed Non-Tier 1 team gets to play in APAC North Relegation. This is an exceptionally designed grassroots system that allows T1, T2, T3 teams or basically anyone to prove themselves 3X a year.
- BIG DISCLAIMER:For simplism purposes, I'll rename "Japanese Invitationals/Championships" to "Japanese Nationals" so you, the viewer, can keep track easier (trust me it's easier). The top 5 T2 teams from the Japan League skip over groups and go to nationals playoffs. Bottom 5 T2 Japanese teams go to Nationals groups with the T3 teams that qualified from the Japan Nationals open qualifiers. It's much easier on your brain if you think about it like that.
Back to the post!
This Nationals was the most important tournament in all of Japan. NORTHEPTION all wanna prove themselves. This was where all the pressure was building up towards. So with the 2 new additions to the roster (that they added in a rush), they nervously went into the open qualifiers for T2 Japan not knowing how it would go.
NORTHEPTION with their new roster, get into the Japan Nationals thru the open qualfier. They play Bo3s and do well. They aren't dominant since they lose a map and went overtime alot but they 2-0'd most teams. They get 1st in opens which surprises the Japanese community.
As an added bonus for getting 1st thru the Nationals Open, NORTHEPTION have now qualified for Japanese relegations at the end of the year just from getting 1st at the beginning of the year. They already secured a huge W but the streak doesn't end here.
After they get 1st in the open qualifiers, they go to Japanese Nationals Playoffs with much better teams and a Tier-1 team named "Reject". They beat the Tier-1 APAC North team in 2 seperate Bo1s. 7-2, 8-6.
They also throw 2 rounds against the worst team in their group, leading them to winning in overtime. They get 2 points instead of 3 points. They end up missing getting out of groups by a single point, because they threw 2 rounds. It's expected to throw rounds if your a new team since your comms aren't perfect. They showed their glimpse of potential with this new roster from beating this 8th place Tier-1 APAC North team twice but sadly it wasn't enough.
Post-Tournament Changes
So since Shokei was just a sub, they have to pick up another player to replace him. While they did well and had upsets, they still weren't content with barely getting eliminated in groups.
They do open tryouts, again! to get the new 5th player. Post a tryout google docs on twitter, run the scrim partners, evaluate, yada yada yada, you know, the usual. They told themselves, Since the no-experience player Nina was such an insane pickup, then why wouldn't a second fresh rookie be good? Lets take a fresh new mechanical promising player with lots of motivation to play and teach them how to play comp. So they picked up a second person with no experience.
They pick up ShuReap from the google docs tryout page. ShuReap has no competitive experience except for an open qualfiers where he obliterated another team in a Bo3 7-1, 7-2. All the team knows is that this guy is mechanically gifted and has high ranked stats. Little did they know that they got even more lucky. ShuReap is better than Nina who was already a monster mechanically 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The 2nd Nationals Tournament
They have this new roster. Time for Japan Nationals for stage 2 of 2022. They're eager to test this new roster.
They have to go thru the open qualifiers again. Instead of losing a map and constantly going into overtime like last time, they utterly massacre the competition. They don't even go into O.T to win games like last time. You can visually see the improvement.
Now that they finished destroying the open qualifiers to get 1st, they go into groups where they got grouped last time. This was the real test to see if the roster improved, by hitting a new high. So what happened in groups with this new T3 team?
Well, They dominate their group. They only lose once and it's a massive throw in overtime 6-8 against a T2 Team. They win most other games in regulation and come out comfortably on top with a first place group finish. Now they move out of the frying pan into the fire, literally... They have to verse 2 APAC Pro League teams back to back. Fnatic and then, if they win that, Reject who has since made roster changes to become better. Fnatic is Neo-Guts gaming who basically cut the old NORTHEPTION out of relegations in 2020. There's bad blood here.
So what happens? They 2-0 Fnatic and 2-0 Reject 😭. Granted, they were close maps but it was still a 2-0. So now they're at the Grandfinals after 2-0'ing 2 pro Teams. They are up against SCARZ, who are a T2 Japanese team. You'd think that this T3 team would win after beating 2 Tier-1 teams dominantly right? Nope. SCARZ 2-0'd NORTHEPTION in the grand final. Not even a map going to O.T. They came in a disappointing 2nd place after having a miracle run in Japanese Nationals. Granted, SCARZ were the best Japanese T2 Team but it still stung.
No one could deny that they massively improved but would they be able to conquer a relegation battle for the third Japanese Nationals?
After stage 2, they prepare for relegations
- After stage 2, the Japanese Nationals format changed. Stage 3 playoffs for Japan Nationals doesn't exist. All that exists are relegations for the bottom 5 Japanese Nationals teams.
- "B-b-but u/ArcanicTruth i thought there were no relegations at the end of 2022?" Yeah that confused me too. It's what i also thought lmao. It's apparently not for Tier-2 leagues. There's gonna be "auto-promotions" to get into the Japanese league for 2023. It ended up being code for saying there are still relegations for Japan since they're gonna directly get the 8 best Japanese teams so were gonna find out who they are thru Japanese nationals.
T3 teams had to play the open quals in the 3rd Japanese Nationals to get to relegations but NORTHEPTION already qualified from the first nationals so there was no point for them to play and reveal their strats.
The Reject roster that placed 3rd in APAC North ended up being bottom 5 in the Japanese Nationals league. So they ended up having to play relegations 😭. If they wanted to get auto-promoted, there's a chance would have to relegate this team in a Tier-1 vs Tier-3 match.
Despair, Doubt, and Fear creep in just before the climax
Now, beating 2 pro league teams as a T3 team is a major accomplishment. If Japan's richest orgs were not keeping an eye on the roster before, they were definitely were now after the nationals performance. So, Fnatic decides to pick up one of NORTHEPTION's players. "Tyopi". One of their best players are now suddenly gone. NORTHEPTION were in trouble having such a deep impactful roster change months before the most important esports match of their lives. They've had pressure before but definitely not like this.
Here's where it gets even more crazy. NORTHEPTION, for months, prepared for relegations. Their long-time player, CoPaHiPo, LEAVES the team to go to the reject roster they were training months to beat. Bro just abandoned his friends for the enemy 😭.
All that is left of this former T3 David vs Goliath roster is Febar and his insanely gifted ranked stars that he taught how to play the entry role competitively, Nina and ShuReap.
NORTHEPTION do open tryouts again. They can't resist their ways and pick up ANOTHER unknown rookie player called "YuKiz". This guy has at least been recorded to be on a team by Liquidpedia. He's definitely extremely inexperienced, enough to be counted as a new competitive player.
They need some experience tho, so the pick up "Wendyzera". He is a former player (that they dropped in 2021 after getting relegated) as a stand-in for the relegation battle. They dropped him before so the hopes/morale are not as high coming into relegations.
The climax of 2022
Japanese Relegation Format Explained: The bottom two Tier-2 Japanese teams play eliminate each other in relegation. The winner moves to relegation group stage. There are 2 groups of five. Group A/B. The 5 bottom Nationals teams over the year and the top 6 winners of the open qualifiers for stage 1, 2, and 3 of Japanese Nationals. These teams will end up in different groups. If you get 1st in your group, you get auto qualified for 2023 (2 teams). Both 2nd placed teams from Group A & B play a Bo3. If you place 3rd-5th in your group then you get eliminated from the tournament.
The groups get announced and the pro league team, Reject, is in the other group. For them, this is a blessing. If they can beat some of middle of the pack Tier-1 teams then they can surely beat Tier-2 teams, right? Well... No. They barely survive groups and end up getting 2nd place. The NORTHEPTION curse strikes again where they can't beat Tier-2 teams.
Now they have to verse the 2nd place teams on the other group. The NORTHEPTION players check to see who it is and probably recoiled in horror. The universe is having a laugh. It's the reject roster, a Tier-1 team, and they TIED in points with the T2 IGZIST team. Both have 10 points. So the tiebreaker goes to round count and IGZIST won ONLY 1 MORE ROUND to get placed first 🤣🤣🤣. The gods wanted a drama filled revenge relegation match. A match where careers would end are against former teamates and friends, a NORTHEPTION member of 3 years who abandoned this roster to go to the enemy team.
They get to work for a passionate drama revenge match. It reminds Febar of when he was dropped just before APAC North relegations in 2021. As much as this is an Esports match, it's also deeply personal with drama. NORTHEPTION with a new roster have only a couple weeks to practice for an important relegation match.
It's game day. The match happens. Here are the chronological map results.
- Map 1. NORTHEPTION wins 7-4
- Map 2. Reject wins 7-5
- Map 3. NORTHEPTION wins 7-3
NORTHEPTION pulls an Upset and relegates a top 3 APAC North team from Tier-1 while being a T3 roster. The "reject" roster was a roster that was 8th place in stage 1, 5th place in stage 2, and was currently 3rd place at the time in stage 3. NORTHEPTION relegated a top 3 APAC.N team and stole their spot like a bunch of badasses.
2023 NORTHEPTION
- NORTHEPTION have to do open tryouts AGAIN, with a google docs page to replace Wendyzera because he was only a stand-in. This time, they don't pick up a complete ranked star but gifted player that has at least some comp history. NORTHEPTION picked up the best player from the 2nd best T3 Japanese roster "Father's Back", Sayochan. This guy was a top 5 rated entry player in Japanese Nationals Playoffs with T1 pros in it. He's the only who went overwhelmingly positive on entry when his whole team went negative on entry. He has lots of experience too so he was needed to fill that void on the team. I think he's 22 so he's been playing for a long time.
NORTHEPTION are now, officially, a Tier-1 team. It's been 4 years since that coffee but it was worth it. Now they are in a league again. Febar is finally in Tier-1 after getting dropped just before his relegation match. With google docs, Febar surrounded himself with 4 mechanically cracked players, 3 of which were unknown rookie players that he has personally developed with coaching staff. This roster is now fully complete and ready for 2023.
With their new roster, they enter the new BLAST Japan League as a registered Tier-1 team for the first time. They also have the easiest group on-paper. NORTHEPTION is in groups with Fav Gaming. Febar's roster beats Fav causing Fav to get grouped. NORTHEPTION move into playoffs and have to fight CAG, the best Japanese team historically who look really scary with new roster pickups.
I, again, kid you not, They come into playoffs and 2-0 the historical best Japanese team, CAG. It's not even close, it's a dominant victory that can be credited to the insane entry firepower of this roster. They outgunned Chibisu/Arcully/Blackray. It was a massacre.
This team will verse CREST next for a copahagen major spot on April 1st. Personally, i think NORTHEPTION are actually gonna lose because of the curse. They always win against Tier-1 teams and lose against Tier-2 teams. I know crest is technically Tier-1 but still, it's Tier-1 in name only, since they literally just got into Tier-1 a couple months ago.
Conclusion
NORTHEPTION will go down as one of the most inspiring APAC stories in Rainbow six siege if they can make it to the major. They skipped Tier-2 and relegated a top 3 APAC North team as a Tier-3 team. They decided that they weren't gonna try to get failed players who's only choice it was to join a T3 team but instead try to develop their own talent from mechanically gifted players they found thru an open tryout google docs method 😭🤣. It still baffles me how they found such good players thru Google docs, i absolutely love this roster's tryout process.
Out of all the T1/T2/T3 APAC rosters in siege, this one has the best storyline imo. I hope you enjoyed reading a story as rare as this one! Check out this roster on April 1st to see them verse CREST gaming for a major spot!

Takeaway thought!
Every day there is a new raver discovering the lifestyle and it is a beautiful thing but it’s up too us to uphold and protect the community, standards & morals. Show love and be a good leader remember we are all different but Weareallone. 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
Beyond Wonderland is one of the best themed events I’ve been to and i really had an amazing time it didn’t seem so crowded besides mainstage, didn’t feel paranoid or anxious the vibes seemed lovely EVERYONE seemed to be vibing and embracing one another trading and treating was truly a beautiful scene too see. There were those moments of people barreling through the crowd but for the most part we enjoyed our space. It was cold but I feel insomniac did an amazing job of utilizing and opening up new and old spaces within NOS too keep us warm, it was obviously the same venue but it definitely had a different vibe from the last couple of years that seemed to be templated. There was a game board/adventure experience as always from the bold art installations too the hidden gems within the land rides and world class production truly a new world filled with adventure. It’s more than a rave or a music festival it’s a tangible magical moment in reality. INSOMNIAC EVENTS really knocked it out the park this year. It was certainly a breathe of fresh air reminiscent of the early 2000 nostalgic rave culture with big up too FACTORY 93!!! As well as other stage host. Every stage seemed hone and embrace the theme but too and almost captivating point from the lily pads fire in the lake being synched too the music to bubble machines lining caterpillars garden to the 1,000,000 mini screens main stage had upon the roof too the bass at the looking glass & the mad hatters castle it was a wonderful feeling to feel the distinction between stages kinda like being in different parts of Wonderland. I truly and genuinely appreciate anyone that had a hand in making these magical moments a reality.
*I did go sober, so my experience may differ
*my car did get towed and I had to pay $600 too get it out but that’s besides the point.

- Learn about the future of media and code — the front-end and backend of the internet — so you can focus your efforts.
- Understand digital leverage, distribution, no-code tools, and digital assets so you can take part in the mental & financial wealth transfer.
Phase 1) Creating A Meaningful Niche Every day I hear people going on and on about trying to find their niche.I also hear people talking about how they don’t know how to combine what they love talking about with what will sell. You already have the answer. You just don’t have the clarity. - Develop a long-term strategy to create your own niche — meaning you don’t have to worry about your “competition” playing status games.
- Discover your life’s work, curiosities, and obsessions. I see too many people that are uncertain about this for years.
- Cultivate and turn your vision, goals, and values into a brand that attracts an audience you love interacting with (and that will buy from you, and only you).
Phase 2) Content Strategy There is one thing that separates those who make it in the digital economy and those who don’t.It’s the quality, articulation, and perceived originality of their content. The content you post has to make sense to the people you attract.Everyone has a different voice and tone that they resonate with. That they are congruent with and trust. It has to change their thought patterns or behavior — that’s what makes you memorable. That’s what separates you from the sea of people posting surface-level copy-cat style posts.Example and putting my money where my mouth is: - Become an expert-level speaker or writer on the topics you care about.
- Never run out of content ideas for your posts or promotions (without using content templates — that’s how you stay a commodity).
- Create posts, blogs, tweets, images, and videos that resonate with other’s on a deep level. People will actually ask you how you got so good at what you do.
- Separate yourself from the ocean of B-tier creators that struggle to sell their products, services, andhave their ideas stick in the head of their audience.
- Implement our Epistemic Research Method — which is just a fancy way of saying scientific research method… but it’s for researching your mind to craft brilliant content and product ideas.
Phase 3) Crafting Your Offer Most people are sitting on a goldmine of skills, experience, and knowledge ( that they can use to help people 1-2 steps behind them). That is what people pay for.Considering 95% of the market are beginners… if you are good at something, you can help them get to your level ( no matter how “basic” you think the information is).Do you not watch basic content all day anyway? People don’t want new information, they want to be reminded of what works. - Use our Minimum Viable Offer strategy to start monetizing immediately (and have something to improve over time, rather than procrastinating until it’s perfect).
- Have a strategy for reducing the time you spend working over time (as you build leverage and improve your offer).
- Know how to create your own customers from the audience you are building, instead of “finding” the right customer for your offer.
- Take the guesswork out of building coaching, consulting, or digital product offers.
Phase 4) Marketing Strategy You aren’t making money because you aren’t promoting yourself or your offer. That is literally the only way to make money. Have something desirable and consistently put it in front of peoples’ faces. In Phase 4, I will show you how to systemize, automate, and be consistent with simple promotions. You will be able to make money without having the chance of forgetting to do it (or letting fear of failure get in the way). - Learn to sell on social media, in your writing, and across different platforms.
- Have consistent sales coming in while focusing on your meaningful message (no need to sound salesy all the time).
- Learn advanced automation strategies that you can implement at your own pace, especially once you validate your offer.
Bonus) The Creator Command Center The Creator Command Center is a Notion template that houses all of the systems. This is how you will manage your brand, content, offer creation, marketing strategy, and systemized promotions for consistent sales. Bonus) Live Product Build & Launch In the first Digital Economics Cohort, I built out my course The 2 Hour Writer.I have videos showing how I build it with the strategies in phase 3 and 4.There is a bonus module that shows how I had an $85,000 launch that resulted in my first $100K month.I did this to prove the strategies inside Digital Economics work if you stick to the plan. And, this past Black Friday, I blew my that monthly high out of the water in 4 days. That’s the power of these strategies if you stay consistent with your life’s work. submitted by AutoModerator to GenkiCourses_2023 [link] [comments] |

2023.03.27 03:03 Pbio1 Dealership put new engine in my car that after the second try stranded my family of 6 in a town 200 miles away:
I’m at my wits end. I’m furious and need to know what my options are. Here is the timeline:
October 2021: had engine problems with my car. Cylinder misfires. Took it to the mechanic recommended by my extended warranty (Carmax Maxcare). They said it was a spark plug/coil and replaced some.
One week later (oct 2022): same code came back on. Took it back and they sat on it for two weeks and told me nothing was wrong. That the engine light went off.
Jan 2023: car started overheating because of same engine code issue. Took it to my local mechanic instead and they said cracked block needed a new engine. Warranty wouldn’t talk until dealer diagnosed it.
Jan 30, 2023: took it to dealer.
Feb 22, 2023: dealer did engine tear down and finally got approval from warranty company to replace engine.
Mar 20, 2023: car finally ready. Drove it 1 mile and engine light comes on and cylinders misfiring. Took it back.
Mar 22, 2023: car done again. This time drove it for a couple of days and seemed to be good.
Mar 25, 2023: drove the car to visit my daughter in a town 200 miles away. Car did fine on the way over. While in the other town check engine light comes on and car won’t accelerate past 50 mph, rpm’s shoot to 4000. Had to drop it off at the dealer at that town that was closed for the weekend. Stranded. Had to rent a car to take the family including my 3 yr old home.
I’m nw waiting to find out what’s going to happen. But we have a Chrysler dealership that can’t fix an engine. Is this normal?
