I recently tore up a section of yard that had irises in it to build a proper flower bed. The irises had been there ~20 years without thinning or weeding and were completely choked out by weeds and overcrowding. One of the most vicious weeds I've dubbed "devil grass," as it seems impossible to get rid of. It looks like bamboo, but it's grass. It sends out runners 15" below the soil with huge rhizomes. I tilled 15" down, then hoed as much of it up as I could. Sprayed roundup, waited several days, then replanted. Now 2 weeks later, the devil grass is popping up in places where I obviously missed some small but. Pulling on it just breaks it into sections, and I know the root system is 15" down. It has no issue growing straight up through landscaping barrier, as I've also had issues with it in my raised beds. Now that the irises are back in the ground and it's all planted up, I have no idea how to keep the devil grass from completely taking over again. Any advice would be appreciated!

The invasion has reached its fifth year, with the Divergence crushing all Tharastinian defensive forces, just as the Divergence has done in the north of the continent. Alone, isolated, and enslaved, the city cries for help towards uncaring oceans, desolate sands and godless heavens. The Priesthood of Lieves has been hunted within an inch of its life here, and the few who are given freedom to travel in and out of Tehrazj are likely already bought out by the invaders. However, that doesn't stop citizens from finding their own ways out- suicide included.
What was initially regarded as a rumor or a joke in poor taste, to the abject horror of the ones who didn't die in the initial firebombing of the city or fall to disease and strange monster, became the enforced reality as Tharastin was slowly wiped away from the map, replaced with wasteland and various horrific bits of underground labor, trafficking and mutilation.

Hi everyone, I wanted to upgrade my OP3 to LineageOS 18.1 today. On the first attempt, I wanted to see what would happen and followed the instructions from Lineageos.org. During the sideload process, I did receive the message "xfer: 1.00x," but on my smartphone, I got a notification stating that the modem needs to be at least version 9.0.2. After rebooting, everything remained the same: Android 8.0.0 OxygenOS Open Beta 39 Now, when I try to perform the official upgrade to 9.0 (Community OnePlus), which corresponds to Oxygen_16_OTA_075 for me, I receive a notification that it is a downgrade. Unfortunately, the downgrade process also fails halfway through without any feedback in the OnePlus Recovery.
When I attempt to use the Oxygen Updater, I don't see the patch '...16_OTA_085-086_patch...' displayed when trying to upgrade through 'local upgrade.' Similarly, using the OnePlus recovery doesn't provide any assistance. The flashing process starts for around 3 seconds but gets aborted without any feedback. Question: How do I combine the list of monomials as texts / functions without varying the variables? This can be seen as a good QoL change since it is easier to keep track of when the boosted attack will be up. However, this means the passive of receiving boosted auto and removing debuff now work independently from each other. The debuff removal still runs on its own 6 seconds cycle (the "bell" sound).
Now, if Helping Hand is used, it should be able to give Blissey boosted autos for the whole duration of the buff. However, using a boosted auto completely depletes the gauge regardless of how full it is! Any other auto used after will just be basic attacks.
This kills a lot of Blissey offensiveness as you can no longer run up to someone and smack them with 4 boosted autos in succession. The maximum hits you can do in succession now do is 2: one from the filled-up gauge and then one from HH.
I feel that the nerf resulting from the changes are unintentional and they didn't properly implement the gauge with Helping Hand in mind. As for now, I am going to steer clear of playing Helping Hand Blissey and hope that it gets a hotfix.

I (23 F) was asked to be a bridesmaid at a friends (21F) wedding almost 2 years ago, let’s call her Tammy. Tammy and I became friends through work, we were coworker friends but never actually hung out outside of the workplace, so I would never have said we were particularly close. We only worked together for not quite a year too, so I was not even expecting an invite to the wedding let alone asked to be bridesmaid when she told me her partner (22 M) proposed. Tammy explained to me that she didn’t really have any girl friends, and it would be just me and her best friend who would be maid of honour, and although we weren’t particularly close, she said she feels like I’m one of the only people she can be herself around and have decent conversations with, and that she felt we will only grow closer and she’d love to have me in her wedding. After hearing this I agreed to the role because I believed that we would get closer too, and thought it was sweet that she considered me a good enough friend to be in her wedding. At this point I had never met her fiancé, but Tammy began to confide in me whenever they had a fight. At first this was fine with me, as fighting is normal and even healthy sometimes, though it started to get to the point that I would only ever hear from Tammy when she wanted to complain about her fiancé, and they weren’t normal fights either. Tammy explained that she didn’t feel loved by him, that he had explicitly stated that he is not attracted to her, she feels controlled by him and feels she is only still with him because he is all she has known (they had been together since high school). It only got worse every time she contacted me about how he had upset her, he would make comments on her weight, tell her she’s not allowed to go out, completely ripped into her for getting drunk on HER 21st birthday, her own family don’t even like him, and vise versa. Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore, and I gently explained to her that I didn’t feel right being a bridesmaid in a wedding that I personally didn’t believe should be happening. I had openly told her (when she asked for 100% honesty) that their relationship was not healthy, and it was not a healthy way to enter a marriage and that his behaviour needed to change and she deserved better. I told her I love her and care for her but I just couldn’t bring myself to stand next to her and publicly show my support for a marriage that in reality I didn’t support at all. They got engaged almost two years ago and are yet to make a single wedding plan because HE thinks it’s too soon for such a commitment (so then why propose was my response), and he shuts her down every time she brings up anything to do with their wedding. It honestly seems like he doesn’t even want the wedding to go ahead. When I told her I couldn’t be her bridesmaid anymore she was nice about it and said she understood, but now the maid of honour is accusing me of being an asshole for not being supportive of my friend when she clearly needs help. I explained that I am always here to help her but being a bridesmaid at a wedding that even Tammy herself is hesitant about is not helpful to Tammy at all. I still offer advice and help whenever I can when Tammy confides in me and I will continue to do so even if the marriage goes ahead, I just feel it would be fake and hypocritical of me to be involved in the wedding itself, but I’ve been told I’m the asshole for this. Ive always been a fan of stealth games since it gives you the feeling of controlling the entirety of a enemy while them being completely oblivious to it. my most favorite stealth game was payday 2 but after playing the demo of hitman 3 im starting to question that. in this game you can either be a mass murderer or be the most silent and deadliest assassin in a clow suit but still look good while doing it
Sadly, college life isnt all fun and merry. I'm stuck in a whirlpool of financial challenges cause every single penny I've got goes into paying off tuition fees, textbooks, and all those college expenses that hit you like a truck.

Ive always been a fan of stealth games since it gives you the feeling of controlling the entirety of a enemy while them being completely oblivious to it. my most favorite stealth game was payday 2 but after playing the demo of hitman 3 im starting to question that. in this game you can either be a mass murderer or be the most silent and deadliest assassin in a clow suit but still look good while doing it
Sadly, college life isnt all fun and merry. I'm stuck in a whirlpool of financial challenges cause every single penny I've got goes into paying off tuition fees, textbooks, and all those college expenses that hit you like a truck.
But here's the thing, playing games isnt just about having a blast. It's my escape from the madness of college. Having played the demo version of it was the most fun ive ever had in a long time
if any of you guys gift me this game, I'll be grateful forever and I'll make sure not to forget this kindness

2023.06.08 13:55 Ghost7319 With the announcement of their other project, it feels like Bungie is giving Destiny the same treatment that D&D gave Game of Thrones once they had been given their Star Wars project.
For people not in the know, D&D (David Benioff & D. B. Weiss) were the showrunners for Game of Thrones. It was very well received up until the last 2-3 seasons, when it started going downhill, with an absolute travesty of a final season and finale. (It was so bad that no one even talks about it anymore) This was coincidentally the same time that Disney offered them a chance to create a brand new Star Wars trilogy. Pretty much everyone agrees that it became their only focus and they wanted to hurry up and finish Game of Thrones, no matter what the author and HBO thought of extending it.
The deal ended up falling through, probably in no small part due to the criticism Game of Thrones received.
With all of the bugs, shutdowns, server issues, and story quality, I feel like Bungie is taking the same path because of their next project...

Haven’t posted on reddit in a while but i’m in need of advice. I (19F) have a friend (19F) who i’ve been friends with for far too long. I know how stupid I am to have kept the friendship this long, so please don’t lecture me on that. A year ago, she slept with the guy I was with and I decided to forgive her after a while, she grovelled for months after that so I thought she’d change.
Recently, we went on a trip for her birthday and she showed her true colours - I’ve never been so disrespected in my life and treated the way I was - just one example; she left me alone in a city I didn’t know in the middle of the night - with a phone on 2% - because she wanted to “have fun” on her birthday, she later told me she had no sympathy because it’s her birthday and she deserves to enjoy herself and not have to care about others. But I didn’t say anything because of two reasons; One, it was her birthday, and two, because we had already arranged that we are going to move in together, along with two others, at her home when her old flatmates left. It was too late to back out of it and I didn’t have other options so I moved in. Now that i’m in, she’s already being rude, disrespectful, and treating me as inferior and an annoyance. One of my roommates is one of her close friends and one i’m not sure how she feels, so I don’t know if they’ll be feeling the same or treated the same. I’ve got a 9 month lease with a friend I now don’t want to talk to anymore but am keeping the peace for the sake of the house. Any advice?

There's knives, which seems to be the focus for this promo, but there's also mini cocottes and a 4,2 l enamelled cast iron pot in black and beige. I was pretty interested in this as it's about 65€ which seems like a good deal to try out the whole dutch oven thing from a known/cute brand before getting a creuset/staub, but I can't find ANY info on these smeg ones anywhere. The only mentions of them are a couple of german ebay listings and what looks like a similar stamp/store promotion thing in Hong Kong or so, from a year or two ago. 2023.06.08 13:54 LancerRevX I completely messed up my playthrough
At first I was determined to play a melee build and side with Mr. House. Everything was goint pretty well. But at some point I met Veronica and decided to do some Brotherhood quests to get T45d for the +2 strength bonus and an ability to wear it. I ended up loving them. They are so cool, strong, and the ending where McNamara comes to his senses and removes lockdown is so adorable. I decided to kill Mr House as he doesn't allow a compomise about the Brotherhood and side with the Legion instead. I hated Caeasar, but thought I could have their safehouse with a campfire next to it and the Lucky sunglasses. But it turned out I had killed some legionaries in the past while helping NCR, so the highest reputation I could reach was *Wild Child*. It seems they only give the key to their safehouse if your reputation is absolutely spotless. I also haven't found an option not to kill my Brotherhood...
Caesar is such an asshole. He kills his own soldiers just to make them fear or something. He tried to kill the second most important person in the Legion just for one defeat. He constantly wants to kill me. If I refuse to destroy the BoS, he gets me killed. If I wake him up when he is sleeping, he get me killed. When I do his stupid quests, he doesn't give me money or loot, doesn't even say thanks, he just spits out his new orders and proceeds to be a mean jerk. He is also way too far from the nearest fast travel point. And you have to manually make both of your companions wait before entering his tent. And not forget to resume them when you are done. Playing for the Legion absolutely sucks at everything.
At the moment Mr. House is killed, I am declared a terrorist in the NCR and stuck with the stupid Caesar, who wants my favorite Brotherhood of Steel killed and won't even give me his bloody Lucky Shades.
The only possible solution to this would be the independence, but I see it as a failed ending. It's like an ending for people who failed to meet the requirements for every other ending. Also from the role-playing perspective I think ruling a big city in such tough circumstances would suck.
And above everyhing else I failed my build because I don't have enough special points either for *Unstoppable Force* or for *Slayer* (even with the implants). And I don't want to do my first Lonesome Road playthough with this messed up build (I know it gives a special point at the end).
Do you think I should finish this playthough with either Legion or Yes man, or I should start a new one, this time more thought out?
