This is probably sound childish but I really need to ask someone. I’m gonna hold a birthday party in around 4 days. But my friends decide to just come up and said they can’t come. Different people have different way to say the « reason » but at the end it lead to the same one. They can’t come cause their mothers don’t allowed them. Since there gonna be an exam (national) in 2-3 weeks. One said that she just can’t now when I asked her like 10 times to make sure, i asked her to the point she said « for the 10th time, I can » (she probably follow other). Here is what trigger me, I ask all of them before asking my mom to organise it, and of course they said yes. Since I’m surely aware of the exam, and I myself also need to revise. But it was gonna be for only 2-3 hours that is in like 15 days away from the exam. My mom put a lot of efforts and already buy the products, decorations since she’ll have works and tomorrow is weekend. I don’t have the heart to tell her. Ofc there are still 2-3 friends that can come but im just too mad and they aren’t really that close to me (1 is my bestie) so thing can get awkward. There’s one more thing, one girl is gaslighting me so fk hard to make me seem like I’m hurting her feeling. And the worst is that I can’t even celebrate it with my family now…. I have so few families members here. But they asked me before but I said, it’s alright I can do with my « friends ». So now they are all busy with their schedules. Guess I’m just too miserable and lonely. 💃

Hi, I'm making a new build and in the last few hours I've been relearning all the memory lore this time for DDR5. My last build was in 2019 with AM4.
I'm building a 7800X3D gaming system that has to have 64GB ram (for ramdisk usage) and after reading around I've settled on hynix A-die since it seems to be objectively the best choice (unless something has changed in recent months).
For the A-die list of sticks I've just been using https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MEG-X670E-GODLIKE/support#mem, and from here it looks like the only choice is the kingston kits at 6000. I didn't see kingston mentioned much, is there a reason for that? I guess most people get 2x16 kits of which there are other vendors.
For timings I'll probably use the buildzoid list from early in the year https://www.patreon.com/posts/low-effort-rank-77403831
Parts will be bought in europe with around 250-300euro budget.
Lastly I did see that the 7800X3D doesn't scale as much with ram in the HWU video, so I won't be going that hard to get every ounce of performance, but I just want to get a good tweak going and then not have to worry for the next few years.
All that said there are a few things I'm not sure about.

1. I've noticed comments that ryzen is hard to get to even 6200, is there any point in looking for kits above 6000/30 or 6000/32 at all in that case, especially when it will be the same ram chips. For example if I were to get 2 kits of 7200J3445G16GX2 would it allow better timings, or even work at all (since its not a 4x16kit)?
   
2. Since 32x2 is using dual rank, tRDRDSD and tWRWRSD can be changed from auto, any suggestions on what to use here? Also if 16x4 is an option at all please mention it.
   
3. I haven't picked a motherboard yet, will use this list https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NQHkDEcgDPm34Mns3C93K6SJoBnua-x9O-y_6hv8sPs/edit#gid=0 , I would assume that all of them that test 6000+ should be fine, but is there anything else I can look for like better bios or topology, or is overclocking limited more by the CPU than the motherboard?

I was accepted into my union hall and took the test to see if I could start as a year 2 apprentice. “No one did well”. Anyway I work for a non union shop for almost two years now, have been on a significant amount of prevailing wage jobs, and just got my second raise. They reimburse for gas as well. Saturday work as much as I want. Did trade school for 1 year that they paid for and am a registered apprentice.
The point I’m getting at, is if I start my apprenticeship, I will be earning 7.50 less per hour year 1, and 2 less dollars year two. Not to mention the $500-1000 gas reimbursement a month.
I’ve ran some numbers with bills and such, and the budget as an apprentice aren’t pretty compared to now.
Does anyone here have a similar path and ended up getting cold feet? Not permanently, as I believe overall the union has better compensation. I’m just not super excited to be making less money in pocket for 3 years

Air Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined Releasing All-Star Weekend

Hi, A friend and I have both picked up the AGoAC box and are struggling with a few things. I've looked at the new starter guide, which is helpful, but still unsure of:

1. How do you know what mechs are available? Looking at online tools shows thousands of options and we have no idea where to start. I understand that the box I have is set during the succession wars, and that the clan invasion expansion adds more, but I just want to know what options there are.
2. How do you balance a game (and what is "standard")? Nothing in the boxset mentions how you ensure armies are balanced against each other. I played alot of 40k, so I'm familiar with points systems etc, but can't see any numbers for mechs. Is there a standard sized game? 3v3 mechs? 1 heavy, 2 medium etc?
3. What is a "technical readout"? Are these books collections of lore, or a catalogue of available mechs with associated sheet for marking off damage?

I love it. It remains colorful and bubbly but still retains the cool backgrounds of what make the games look cool back then.
Yes Generations, Colors, and Forces all had similar classic Sonic levels but from the trailer at least, Superstars seems to be done much better.
Now I wish they would remake Sonic 1-3 in this art style amd maybe give some minor cutscenes for the story

I Susan (29F) have a cousin Georgette (27F all names are changed) and I absolutely love her, she is practically my little sister, we grew up together and we literally live in the same area (I can walk to her apartment complex by walking through a shared public park) and we interact with eachother constantly. And she emotionally Dumps on me. CONSTNTLY.
She is the female embodiment of lost potential, entitled and lazy spoilt brat. She is smart but so very dumb and lazy. Now mind you she wasn't always like this. In fact when we were in highschool she was the complete opposite. Hardworking, determined, popular with people. It feels as if she peaked did a 180 and then came crashing down the second she turned 21 and had to deal with the real adult world.
This saturday while we were doing our usual dinner and fun night with our friend group which includes my husband Dansen (30M), my cousins Georgette and her older bother Jerry (32M), and two other dudes Kramer (30M) and Elliot (30M) (6 in total).
We all grew up together, went to the same schools and such and funny enough we all still live in the same neighborhood/area but in different appartment complexes and townhomes. That night we were at my Townhome. The men in our group were watching Seinfeld (this is important) and eating pizza, while Georgette and I got into the conversation of her weekly woes. She was complaining loudly and kept interrupting everytime I tried to speak.
Now mind you I am not a patient person, however with Georgette I usually bottle my opinions on her woes and keep my mouth shut, because 1. I don't want to offend her and 2. She is family. I'm not her mom to be telling her what to do, I know.
Despite the rant coming up, she is family, we've been through thick and thin, and I know I'm an arse for blowing up at her and ranting about her life. But something about this week, the stress, her attitude and I-don't-know-what-else-made-me-blow-up. Maybe I was overstimulated because it was loud and I was tired, maybe I just needed to unload on something, I don't know but this is what happened.
In the middle of Goergette complaining about how people look down on her, "the poor nerd" and "The little guy", her parents, her relationships, I snapped. It felt like a tea kettle building up steam until it shouts. So of course I shouted "Will you just Shut up?! I don't want to hear you complaining about your life right now, literally all the problems in your life are your own damn fault! You are just an incompetent loser of a child who thinks the world owes her something because "reasons!" First of all - "
I basically pointed out, complaint by complaint in a rant on how everything is her own fault. Forgive the paragraph of word vomit. The points here are her complaints and my thoughts on the matter, the things in parenthesis are things that I shouted in the middle of my ranting. Yes it was recorded. No I'm not sharing. I'm just writing what I said and screaming into a void.

1. She is sad and lonely because she's single after a 2 year relationship and she misses her ex, terribly. (First of all, that is YOUR fault. GIRL you literally broke up with your boyfriend because YOU, yes, YOU wanted to save face. Becase YOU are so insecure you thought his own sister was a random girl who was trying to "steal" him away from you. That "Oh he likes that ugly girl who is prettier than me, look at the way he hugs her" and "who does he think he is" and that he "looks down on me cuz I'm short and brown". He doesn't by the way, he was willing to stay with you despite all your faults, he genuinly liked you and you dumped him because you cant stand being wrong, but noooooo "he's so booooring. commitment is so boooring, i can't do anything wah wah. You kept being weird with your sister!" and now all of a sudden 2 weeks after breaking up, now that hes gone he's suuuuddenly the "lOvE oF mY LiFe" and the "oNe tHaT gOt aWay! I mEssEd Up sO bAd!! WAH!" baby girl, whose fault is that? You left him! That was your own Damn Fault!! Who the hell wants to date a girl let alone be in a relationship with someone that dumb?)
2. How no men will date her and how all men are trash. ( No one wants you because you are trash! Your attitude is trash! Your personality is trash! Men can't handle me because "I'm a 10", girl you aint a 10. You are an arrogant insecure egotistical maniac who thinks shes a 10 when in reality you're a 3 at best - You literally complain that no one wants you when you literally lie and shoot yourself in the foot. "It's because I'm a nerd!" No, it's because you are an ass, "If they don't like me at my best" is bull crap. They should love me for me, is bull crap, you are all the reasons why no one wants you and you always give way less than the other persons best. You are never at your best, your best is the worst possible thing. You complain to your partner "I'm extroverted I need attention and sunlight" but then when they want to take you out you whine that you wanna stay home and order take out. What the hell is your idea of a good time? Eating nachos in your underwear while watching Bridgerton? Whining about how other people are fake for posting their vacations on facebook? You want people to see that you are "successful" online but then bitch when people know that you are a actually a shut in with bad money. 3. How she can't lose weight even though she is "trying". No she is not trying, she weighs 375lbs and is gaining more weight. (Whos god damn fault is thaAAAAAAAAAT?? Not that there is anything wrong with being plus sized or overweight - Shit who am I to talk, I'm plus sized. Although my BMI - Which has been proven to be BS by the way says I'm "obese" I still make an effort to be healthy! I dont care if people think I'm fat, I like my size and my body. So does my husband. At least I'm not pretending to lose weight and be healthy while shoving a chocolate cake shake in my mouth! I feel bad, but at the same time it feels good to have let all that out.

TLDR at bottom but don't bitch unless you read my reasoning.
The more I think about this, the more I think the large majority of our failures comes down to poor string construction, and poor role designations / scoring option hierarchy. Harden may be washed from a Scoring/Hero standpoint, but he's still the best playmaker there is. If I am Morey and Nurse, I make three very cheap but effective small moves in FA, change role assignments, string construction and run it back under Nurse.
I bring Niang back because 40.1% from the 3 is elite, and I still maintain game 6 would have been a one possession game if Doc wasn't stupid and benched him red hot. I bring in UFA Javonte Green, who has a defensive rating of 108.9 (DPOY defensive rating is 105.3), shoots 37.1% from the 3 and 57% from the 2. He's hitting FA off a 1.7 million salary. I bring Reed back and he gets regular minutes all season long. Reed has a better defensive rating than this year's DPOY, but the sample size is obviously too small to give him DPOY over Jarren. I keep Tobias at least until the trade deadline, because depth is not the problem right now; String and Role Designations are, and trading Tobias is only going to get you depth pieces. Harden has proven he's unreliable as the 2nd scoring option, so losing Tobias right now isn't the right call in my opinion considering we can't replace him for a similar scoring option.
I make Harden stop trying to be the 2nd scoring option and focus solely on playmaking. He also stops driving to the basket; It's like watching slow motion now and he's not getting the calls he used to, which results in turnovers or blocks. Basically the 5th option is the stepback 3 when the shot clock is almost up (unless he's hot). PJ moves to the bench because we need to replace Harden's firepower on the nights he has it. Granted, he still has 30 point nights, but more times than not he is an assist machine and gets you 10-16 points in the process. The question is how many failed shots did he take or turnovers driving to the basket or fumbling the ball between his legs did he cause to get those 10-16 points?
I start Melton at the 2 and Tobias at the 3 because both are good defenders and both are shooting close to 40 from the 3. I start Niang at the 4 because he's shooting a little over 40 from the 3 and with Embiid, Tobias and Melton's defense, we can afford to do that. Tobias as a shared 2nd/3rd scoring option with Niang (whoever's open) will get you his usual 20 points per game. You can't expect him to get you 20 points a game as the 4th option on an average of 9 ball touches per game. Somehow he still managed just shy of 15 ppg this past year though, so he's getting bagged on a bit unfairly (save the 2 point playoff game where he really could have stepped up).
Off the bench I play Reed at the 5, PJ at the 4 (who by the way is shooting 40% from 3, he just doesn't get enough ball touches to get the points as the 5th option on 1st string), McDaniels at the 3 (DRTG 113.6, which is OK, and 40% from the 3), Javonte Green at the 2 (108.9 DRTG and 37.1% from the 3) and a full season of Maxey at the 1 so he gets comfortable in that role and becomes prime Lou Williams on crack. Besides Maxey that's a defensive fortress 2nd string, everybody can shoot, and Maxey has the ball in his handles, which is where he is best.
TLDR:
Bring Niang and Reed back. Sign UFA Javonte Green (DPOY-worthy DRTG & 37.1% from 3) for 3 mil.
Harden focuses solely on playmaking and stops driving to the basket, dribbling between his legs or looking to be anything higher than the 4th scoring option.
Tobias and Niang share the second scoring option on the 1st string, with D-Melt as the third.
Maxey runs the bench in his native position with a shit ton of defense and shooting around him.
Scoring option order:
1st String: Embiid, Tobias/Niang, Melton, Harden
2nd String: Maxey, Reed, Tucker, McDaniels, Javonte Green

National Self-Determination Bill 2023

A BILL TO
guarantee British Overseas Territories, Scotland and Wales the right to hold independence and transfer referenda.
BE IT ENACTED by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Section 1: Definitions
(1) “British overseas territory” has the same meaning as in the British Nationality Act 1981.
(2) “Independence referendum” shall mean a referendum where registered electors of the relevant territory may vote on whether or not to become governed independently.
(3) “Transfer referendum” shall mean a referendum where registered electors of the relevant territory may vote on whether or not to leave the United Kingdom and join another state which has officially indicated to HM Government that they would be willing to accept the territory.

CHAPTER 1: THE CALLING OF REFERENDA

Section 2: Independence and Transfer Referenda
(1) Citizens of a British overseas territory, Scotland, or Wales may present a petition to the Secretary of State to hold an independence or transfer referendum, which will be binding if:-

(a) the petition is signed by 20% of the registered electors of the relevant territory; and
(b) the signatures were collected within a 9-month period; and
(c) a previous unsuccessful referendum was not held within 10 years of the petition beginning to collect signatures.

Section 3: Assent of Devolved or Local Governments
(1) For the purposes of this section, an appropriate person is any of the following-

(a) The First Minister of the relevant territory,
(b) The Chief Minister of the relevant territory, or-
(c) The head of Government of the relevant territory

(2) Should none of the above be available or appropriate, the Secretary of State may designate as an “appropriate person” any person who is a part of the functioning of a devolved or local government in the relevant territory, so long as that person is reasonably able and appropriate to carry out any duties foreseeably arising from this act.
(3) A petition under Section 2 shall not be valid unless an appropriate person representing the relevant territory affirms to the Secretary of State that they support the aim of the petition.
Section 3: Entitlement to Vote
(1) Those entitled to vote in a referendum called under this act in Scotland or Wales are-

(a) the persons ordinarily resident in the territory in question who, on the date of the referendum, would be entitled to vote as electors at a parliamentary election in a constituency within that territory,
(b) the persons ordinarily resident in the territory in question who, on that date, are disqualified by reason of being peers from voting as electors at parliamentary elections but would be entitled to vote as electors at a local government election in any electoral area in Great Britain.

(2) Those entitled to vote in a referendum called under this act in a British Overseas Territory are the persons ordinarily resident in the territory in question who, on the date of the referendum, would be entitled to vote as electors at a general election within that territory,

CHAPTER 2: THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE

Section 4: Duties of the Secretary of State
(1) Upon the receipt of a valid petition under Section 2 of this Act, the following duties are created for the Secretary of State:

(a) the duty to move an order under this act so as to create a referendum of the type intended by the petition, within one calendar year of the date of receipt,
(b) the duty to produce and publish such regulations that are reasonably necessary and expedient to ensure the smooth, orderly and fair discharge of the referendum in question,
(c) to publish a report detailing the issue at question, and what efforts His Majesty’s Government will take to ensure that an orderly transition between the status quo and proposed constitutional change within the territory in question can occur
(d) to appoint whatever persons the Secretary of State deems reasonably necessary to discharge the functions of the referendum, and-
(e) to provide whatever funds are reasonably necessary to discharge the functions of the referendum.

(2) The Secretary of State may reimburse any reasonable costs incurred by Section (1)(e).
Section 5: The Powers of the Secretary of State
(1) The Secretary of State shall have the power to make regulations specified under Sections 6 and 7 of this act.
(2) The Secretary of State shall have the power to make such regulations as are reasonably required so as to fulfil a duty under Section 4 of this act.
(3) Regulations and Orders under this act shall be subject to the negative procedure.
Section 6: Referendum Orders
(1) The Secretary of State may make an order that a referendum to which this act applies is to be held in the territory in question, so long as they have received a valid petition.
(2) The Secretary of State must, by regulations, appoint the day on which the referendum is to be held.
(3) The Secretary of State shall have a duty to refer the question to appear of the ballot papers to the Electoral Commission, and must ensure that the wording they provide is that which appears on the ballot papers in question.
Section 7: Conduct Regulations
(1) The Secretary of State may by regulations—

(a) make provision about voting in the referendum and otherwise about the conduct of the referendum,
(b) apply for the purposes of the referendum any other enactment relating to elections or referendums, including provisions creating offences;

(2) The Secretary of State may by regulations make provision for and in connection with the combination of the poll for the referendum with any one or more of the following—

(a) the poll for any election specified in the regulations;
(b) the poll for any other referendum specified in the regulations.

(3) Regulations under this act may not change the date of either a referendum called under this act, or any electoral process to which subsection (2) applies.
(4) Before making any regulations under this section, the Secretary of State must consult the Electoral Commission.
Section 8: Short title, commencement, and extent
(1) This Act may be cited as the National Self-Determination Act 2023.
(2) This Act shall come into force immediately upon Royal Assent.
(3) This Act extends to England, Wales, Scotland, and the British Overseas Territories
(4) Nothing in this act shall be construed to have extent to Northern Ireland

I must start by making clear that, while this coalition does not agree with the decision the Commons has made on the Direct Democracy Act, we have no choice but to abide by that decision. However, this puts us now in an even less clear constitutional position on a specific area in which referenda are the only viable and accepted method to be used: independence votes.
We have seen recently, outside of this simulation, the UK Supreme Court decision regarding the legal status of a Scottish independence referendum. While I am sure many here would wish to debate the grounds and arguments made in that particular judgement, that is not the intent of this bill. The intent of this bill is to guarantee the specific right explicitly, so as to prevent this sort of controversial court judgement subverting the will of the people in contravention of Article 15 of the UN Convention on Human Rights. To quote:
“(1) Everyone has the right to a nationality. (2) No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality nor denied the right to change his nationality.” To this end this bill will guarantee that right for Scotland, Wales, and the British Overseas Territories. Northern Ireland is specifically not included in this bill so as to remain in compliance with the Belfast Agreement, which supersedes the authority here as a pre-existing mutual agreement. The required signatures and time between possible referendums is based on the previous Brexit referendums and the Fixed Term Parliament Act, respectively.
To be clear on a more metagame angle, independence is still blocked unless it should come to be in real life. This may not apply to British Overseas Territories, given the actions taken regarding the establishment of New Chagos, but this is undoubtedly a less impactful aspect of MHOC remaining recognisable as a simulation of British politics. However, whether or not we can actually hold a referendum in game is irrelevant to the main point at hand: this is legally and morally the correct guarantee to make. The UK has been part of actions taken against other nations by the UN regarding Article 15, we are obliged to also honour its conditions.
