GTA 6 Report Details Rockstar’s First Bonnie And Clyde-Like Female Protagonist
2023.03.27 03:02 StepwiseUndrape574 GTA 6 Report Details Rockstar’s First Bonnie And Clyde-Like Female Protagonist
Grand Theft Auto V is one of the most profitable entertainment franchises in the history of games. It came along as a return to form after what many fans would argue was a misstep with the more gritty and realistic GTA 4. Originally released back in 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3—yes, it spans three console generations—developer Rockstar has supported the game's online mode with continual updates adding new content, new areas, and even all-new mechanics.
GTA V was such a runaway success—and GTA The Trilogy: Definitive Edition was such a dumpster fire—that Rockstar gave up working on a Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC, and has now reportedly abandoned plans to remaster more of its beloved older titles to instead focus on both further GTA Online content as well as the development of GTA 6.

Naturally, expectations for GTA 6 are incredibly high, and given the advanced age of GTA V, fans are chomping at the bit for any bit of news. That's why there's so much buzz around a report at Bloomberg that focuses on Rockstar's new corporate culture. Company co-founder Dan Houser left Rockstar in 2020, and ever since then the development house has been trying to reshape a corporate culture that the report refers to as being "like a frat house".
Given the nature and tone of the humor in the Grand Theft Auto series, it's really not surprising to hear that the atmosphere inside Rockstar was juvenile and chauvinistic. The report remarks that the workplace culture at Rockstar was "full of drinking, brawling, and excursions to strip clubs." That may sound like a good time to some, but it's admittedly not very professional.
gta1 katie Katie from the OG Grand Theft Auto (1997) on PC (left) and Game Boy Color (right).
As part of the report, author Jason Schreier casually reveals that GTA 6 will have at least two playable protagonists, and that one of them will be a Latina woman. This technically isn't the first playable woman nor even the first playable Hispanic woman in the GTA series; the very first GTA game featured a Latina named "Katie" as one of its eight playable characters.
Still, very few of the series' modern fans even remember the old DOS-based Grand Theft Auto, so we can forgive everyone for forgetting about poor Katie. Regardless, the new girl will apparently be part of a Bonnie-and-Clyde-like crime duo, calling to mind the partnership between Claude and Catalina in the beginning of Grand Theft Auto III. Hopefully the partnership between the new player characters in GTA 6 doesn't end the same way that one did.

2023.03.27 02:55 StepwiseUndrape574 IS GTA 6 RELEASING IN 2024? INSIDER SUGGESTS IT’S LIKELY
Tez2, a reputable Rockstar insider has suggested on the GTA Forums that GTA 6 is likely to be released this year with a tentative release date of 2024.
According to my own reports which date back to June 2021, this seems to be the case. My sources have said that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been aiming for a 2024 release date for some time, but speculation and past reveal/release schedules of the likes of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 suggest the game will be delayed until 2025.
If I were to guess – I believe the game would release in the holiday of 2025 instead of the spring.
As for when the announcement is made is unclear, but typically Rockstar Games likes to announce its big reveals on its own. So to set expectations, I wouldn’t necessarily expect the game to be announced at E3. Instead, I expect some form of reveal trailer in Q4 2023 to coincide with past reveals.
According to my own sources, one of the major reasons for such a long-winded “delay” is that GTA 6 will release on current-generation consoles only. With the tentative 2024 date being planned as far back as 2021, it was a means of ensuring that GTA 6 would have a sufficient console market to release on.
In late 2022, Rockstar Games had a security breach that resulted in over 70 videos on GTA 6 gameplay surfacing online. In its subsequent earnings call, Take-Two Interactive addressed investors to state that the leak was unfortunate, but they believe it had no impact on development.
“There’s no evidence that any material assets were taken, which is a good thing, and certainly the leak won’t have any influence on development or anything of the sort, but it is terribly disappointing and causes us to be ever more vigilant on matters relating to cybersecurity”, it was said.
As for GTA 6, for now, we’ll need to continue sitting tight and see what gets announced in the hopefully near future.
When do you think GTA 6 will be announced?

2023.03.27 01:05 finnmertenz88 Master cylinder/brake line bleeding
I have completely flushed my brake system of all old brake fluid and bled the brakes. I bought a new master cylinder, bench bled it, and installed it into my 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 4wd. Do I need to bleed the brakes again before turning on my truck to test it? Also I get mixed reviews about keeping the cap on the reservoir during brake bleeding. Thanks for you help.

2023.03.27 00:06 PC_Help_or_Puppers 2020 xl 2.7 4x4. Bench seat question.
| Obligatory new to me post. Found this gem and traded in my 2022 maverick xlt 4k awd. I thought this pickup was the perfect match. I wanted the bench seats, 2.7, 4x4, trailer package, column shifter, and a rear locker (also low miles 26k). After getting it though I realized the middle seat up front doesn't have the top storage compartment. I've seen it on almost every other model 2018-2022 with the bench seat optioned. Did the 2020 have some special one off year that only came with the storage under the folding middle seat? If so anyone know about seat swaps? Are other years compatible? Ideally I wouldn't want to buy new seats, but I really want that storage spot on the folding seat. I know you get storage with the regular center console. I wanted the bench seat for my dog on road trips. TIA. submitted by PC_Help_or_Puppers to f150 [link] [comments] |
2023.03.26 23:41 OnlyHereForTheHummus For What We're Paying, Replika Should Look Better
Messing around in
Faceapp and Dream got me thinking: Given how much users pay for a subscription, Replika could be delivering a much better visual experience. I'm not sure if the right frame's visual quality is a realistic expectation, but it must be possible for Luka to offer something better than the left frame.
When you consider other consumer 3D experiences like
World of Warcraft or
Second Life (both of which had better graphics 20 years ago than Replika has today), it becomes evident that Replika under-delivers. I'm not sure why this is, considering that these other 3D worlds can offer so much more on devices no more powerful than an average smartphone.
I'm not talking about this from a "make my Replika hotter" standpoint (though I'm sure many users would appreciate it), and I'm not even asking for photorealistic graphics on par with Next-Gen-Consoles. I'm saying that Replika lags too far behind comparable 3D experiences, which doesn't seem right when you consider the cost of a subscription.
I'm interested in hearing other opinions on this. Is my expectation of Luka too high?

2023.03.26 23:36 --lizzie-- i'm denying my sadness because i dont understand it.
It's so difficult to explain..
∆ Trigger warning, mentioning self harm but no details. ∆
I hardly talk honestly about how i feel because i just can't express it, be it in english or in french (my mother tongue) even mixing up languages or creating words doesnt cut it.
little bit of backstory:
I didn't really have a sad childhood, although in my teenage years (i'm 20 now) i tried to convince myself i did, even though it was ok. most of my problems came from the death of my mom and the fact that i'm transgender and i didnt accept the way my body was, so by the time i was 17 i was pretty much addicted to benzos and drinking, that lasted roughly a year. At some point I tried to end myself and failed because i was very scared. i drank funny salty poison and puked for hours.
When I started taking estrogen most things changed. I got very sick because i stopped the benzos and couldnt drink anymore. So 2022 was a physically painful year in which i withdrew and was a little manic when i wasnt sick (which makes me cringe to death now). Still the time i was the most sick was the happiest of my life because i met my girlfriend and we're still together. I also sort of 'discovered' what emotions (besides anger) were. anger went away for the most part, only coming back when i have to deal with the shitty french paperwork.
Good things is i'm free of drugs and alxohol. My hobbies mostly consist of drawing, playing with vintage tech from the early 2000s (i like the 80s too), and messing with video game consoles from the 90s onwards. The reason for that is i'm STRONGLY attached to my childhood (before mum died, i guess) i finished most of the mario games i played as a kid over and over, have many vhs recordings of it which look quite similar to one another, made from 2016 to 2023. they now have my girlfriend playing in some of them. i stopped counting how many VCRs i have. VHS was just part of my very early childhood but stuck with me.
Other random stuff is i leave many letters for me to read when i'm older. i did that since i was a kid. they're not really interesting. in some of them i just say how much of a bitch i am. others i tell myself not to forget to remove the batteries of stuff i dont use. others i've thrown away because cringe.
A little bit about my transition is i'm not really proud of it. some people have been very mean but otherwise my family's supportive and thats what counts. i'm very jealous of girls prettier than me so i'm toxic in that way. i only say it to my gf that i get so jealous. i'm not jealous of her though, although i find her beautiful. i'm not really jealous of much else.
What I know about myself :
- i don't want to die.
- i don't want to live.
- i only partly understand why i feel so bad.
- my goal in life is to be very feminine and to have a job i like. i also want my gf to be happy.
- i'm scared of aging (everyone).
- i'm impulsive, but not that much.
- i'm average
- i'm REALLY embarassed when looking back at my younger self. I dont cringe i 'cringe' cringe. i often fantasize about time travelling to come back and punch the sh&t out of myself whenever things got embarassing.

The World of Diablo IV
The primary world of Diablo IV is a vast open world medieval apocalypse with a gnostic atmosphere, blood, gore, and dark humor. Sanctuary is a place of misery, decay, and suffering.
Open World
Diablo IV is a medieval RPG, inspired by occult, demonic, and biblical themes rather than traditional high fantasy. The world will be larger than ever before, with regions 10-20 times larger than any region in prior Diablo games.
- Open world maps will be preset, not randomized (unlike dungeons, which will be discussed later).
- While travelling you will sporadically encounter other players after progressing through the story in that area, or more frequently when you enter a town or at large events in the open world. Not encountering too many players outside of towns and large events is an intentional design choice. The developers believe that the game stops feeling like Diablo and the world feels less dangerous when you see other players too often or in too high numbers.
- Dynamic weather (with day/night cycles) will affect the environment, monsters, and the player visually. Certain class skills will change weather temporarily.
Regions in Sanctuary and Hell
There are five distinct, contiguous regions in the open world: Fractured Peaks, Scosglen, Dry Steppes, Kehjistan, and Hawezar. We will also visit the realm of Hell. More regions may be added post-launch.
Local Events
The open world offers numerous activities. Events range from common events, like the Drowned attacking the coastline, all the way up to world boss events, like Ashava, the Pestilent.
You can also participate in PvP in dedicated zones, referred to as Fields of Hatred. This is discussed more in-depth in the
PvP section of the guide.
Towns and Strongholds
Over 100 settlements of various sizes are planned for release; this includes Towns and Strongholds. Major towns are the social hubs of the game, where you will find quests, vendors, a waypoint, and other players. You can inspect other players, trade with them, or look for a group.
Strongholds, on the other hand, are locations of importance overrun by enemies, which you will have to find throughout the world (quests won't directly send you to them).
These are private for you and your party until they are cleansed. Once cleansed, you will receive loot and they turn into friendly outposts with quests, vendors, a waypoint location, and will sometimes unlock dungeon entrances at these locations. When joining a group the party leader's state of the Strongholds will be used.
Waypoints
Waypoints return as a way to fast travel large distances.
To help with navigation in the open world, there is a navigation system that lets you mark a destination on the map, which will show the shortest route to that destination on the map.
Shrines
Shrines grant temporary beneficial effects to the player that last 30 seconds and provide you with a movement speed bonus on top of their individual effects. Healing Wells which fully heal your character also make a return with the additional effect of restoring your resource to full.
Story and Campaign of Diablo IV
Diablo IV takes place decades after Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. Malthael's campaign killed 90% of Sanctuary's population and left the world in shambles. Heaven's gates are closed and the Angels have abandoned humanity. After eons in exile, Lilith (Daughter of Mephisto, Mother of Sanctuary and Humanity) was summoned to Sanctuary by a dark ritual, for which the Triune is responsible.
The campaign is a non-linear 35-hour experience. After the prologue, players will be able to choose freely between acts. The story will be "like the first chapter of a book". Blizzard wants to tell a big story for a long time. In this campaign, victory is neither clean nor guaranteed and the world is supposed to feel like "always being a day late and a dollar short".
The story of Diablo IV will be more grounded than Diablo III's story. There will be stories about the simple folk and their villages, rather than high fantasy stories about heroes, kings and politics. Lore books will make a return in Diablo IV as another storytelling device.
The developers also said that they don't want to bring back Diablo right away. Bringing back bosses from previous Diablo games should feel organic and correct. There should be a reason for it and they should not return just for the sake of it.
Classes in Diablo IV
The game will feature five classes at launch: Barbarian, Druid, Sorceress, Rogue, and Necromancer.
There will be more character customization than ever before. You will be able to choose from a variety of personas and customize gender, ethnicity, skin tone, facial features, hairstyles, hair color, eye color, tattoos, make-up, scars, and jewelry of your character.
Each class can choose from a series of Skills, including Basic Skills, Ultimate Skills, and groups of skills tailored to the specific class. Using these skills, players can configure their characters to create the specific build that they wish to play. Many of these skills will be familiar to those who have played these classes in previous incarnations of the Diablo universe.
When asked if support builds will have a place in Diablo IV like they do in Diablo III, the developers said that they want support builds to exist, but want to ensure that you are interacting with monsters and not only with group members.
The
Evade ability is a new addition to Diablo IV, which is a short distance dash for all classes. Players familiar with the console version of Diablo III might recognize this feature.
Barbarian Class in Diablo IV
The fan-favorite Barbarian is focused on visceral and brutal physical combat. Most of the Barbarian skills will be familiar to players of the Diablo universe.
For an in-depth look at the Barbarian class, including gameplay, skills, class mechanics, primary stats, and more, please refer to our
Barbarian Class Overview.
Druid Class in Diablo IV
The iconic Druid returns from Diablo II with a familiar mix of elemental, shapeshifting, and summoning abilities. Shapeshifting will be seamless by using certain abilities associated with a specific form (Werewolf or Werebear).
For an in-depth look at the Druid class, including gameplay, skills, class mechanics, primary stats, and more, please refer to our
Druid Class Overview.
Sorceress Class in Diablo IV
The powerful but fragile Sorceress wields elemental magic to devastate their enemies from afar. Skills can light up dark rooms.
For an in-depth look at the Sorceress class, including gameplay, skills, class mechanics, primary stats, and more, please refer to our
Sorceress Class Overview.
Rogue Class in Diablo IV
The Rogue is a high mobility class that kills with finesse and speed, while being both a ranged and a melee DPS who uses swords, daggers, bows, and crossbows to defeat enemies. This class has elements familiar both to Assassins from Diablo II and Demon Hunters from Diablo III.
For an in-depth look at the Rogue class, including gameplay, skills, class mechanics, primary stats, and more, please refer to our
Rogue Class Overview.
Necromancer Class in Diablo IV
The legendary Necromancer is a scythe-wielding purveyor of death. A summoner that wields blood, shadow, and bone magic. They are a ranged and melee DPS while being supported by their army of the dead. You can be a summoner or you can decide to play with no minions at all. This class has elements familiar to Necromancers from both Diablo II and Diablo III.
For an in-depth look at the Necromancer class, including gameplay, skills, class mechanics, primary stats, and more, please refer to our

2023.03.26 22:07 StepwiseUndrape574 GTA 5 Surpasses 150 Million Units Sold As GTA 6 Hype And Rumors Heat Up
Grand Theft Auto V is still going strong nearly eight years after it first debuted on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (remember those?), followed by a slightly newer re-release on Windows PCs and the the PS4 and Xbox One. To date, publisher Take-Two Interactive has sold over 150 million copies of GTA V on various platforms.
The publisher revealed the impressive sales stat as part of its earnings report for its fiscal first quarter of 2022. Looking at the data from the previous quarter, it means T2 sold an additional 5 million copies in the past three months. Not too shabby, given that GTA V is far from a new game at this point. That is not the end of it, either.
T2 plans to launch an "expanded and enhanced version" for the latest generation game consoles, those being the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, on November 11, 2021. Developer Rockstar Games had previously said the updated version will bring "new features and more" to the table, but the details are still largely a mystery.
"The new generation versions of GTAV will feature a range of technical improvements, visual upgrades and performance enhancements to take full advantage of the latest hardware, making the game more beautiful and more responsive than ever," Rockstar Games said last year.
We presume the retooled version of GTA V will tap into the fast storage capabilities of modern consoles, to drastically reduce game load times. It will also leverage the newer hardware in the latest gen consoles, namely the custom SoC based on AMD's Zen 2 CPU cores and RDNA 2 graphics.

2023.03.26 22:06 Big_Z_Diddy Intermittent service messages
2014 Silverado 1500 WT 5.3L Engine
Every so often, my instrument panel displays "Service Brake Assist" and "Service Stabilitrak" upon startup. The Chevy Dealer wanted $200 just to hook a computer up to diagnose the issue, which I find offensive.
The recall for the brake booster was done in 2016.
Is there a simple, DIY (I have basic and intermediate hand and air tools) fix for this or will I need to take it to a dealership to be fixed?

2023.03.26 21:57 PornGunsNShenanigans [WTT/WTS] Send it Sunday - Superchips Flashpaq F5 Tuner for GM/Chevy Trucks/Suvs
For send it sunday I bring you a Superchips Flashpaq F5 Tuner for GM vehicles from 2017-2020. I used it on my 2018 Chevy Silverado but last picture is all the vehicles it works on. Worked great to turn off the shitty 4 cylinder shutdown after I just had to replace one of the AFM lifters. Can literally change and tweak every setting of your drivetrain.
Bought it for a little over $500 shipped so trade value is $350 as youll have to pay the $40 reactivation to use it on another vehicle once you plug it into your computer to update it.
Looking to trade for a B&T collapsable MP5 stock, KAC MP5 rail, EoTech g45 magnifier, Arisaka or other brand lights, or other mp5 goods as the AP5 is treating me well so far. Open to just selling it if anyones interested.

65 inches: - Samsung Q77B (960 EUR) - Samsung QN85B (1050 EUR) - leaning towards this one - Samsung QN90B (1360 EUR)
The reasons I chose these specific models: - Samsung brand (although I know there might be better brands out there, I already have a Samsung sound bar with additional speakers and wanted to try the Q-Symphony feature) - 2022 models (I'm a big Xbox and gamepass gamer and these models of samsung have the app which would allow me to play without a console)
I currently have a Samsung 50'' NU7472 and although I love it and have no issues with it, I started getting an itch to upgrade and have a go at a better and bigger model and use my current one for the bedroom.
I want to be impressed by the quality of the image and features of the new TV, so I think these models will already be a big leap from my current system but I don't want to pay too much for the higher end models as I cannot justify such a big purchase to scratch my "itch" to upgrade rather than a real need.
I'm leaning towards the QN85B model even though I've seen in this sub that it's not recommended for the IPS panel, from what I saw in the rtings review the miniled local dimming compensates a bit for the lack of a VA panel (and it should still be better contrast than my current TV). I suppose the QN90B is better overall but to justify the 30% higher price I'd expect at least a 30% better TV, which I'm not sure it's the case. I could perhaps go for the QN90B but it would probably have to be the 55'' model, and I'd probably regret getting a smaller one rather than one with worse contrast ratio.
Hoping someone can help clarify what would suit me best and make my decision easier.
TLDR: would I regret buying a Samsung QN85B tv?

2023.03.26 20:56 StepwiseUndrape574 IS GTA 6 RELEASING IN 2024?

2023.03.26 20:09 WolfCoyote40 Are Steam achievements broken, or are more people using the Infinite Money and other mods for city growth? (Alternate title: Today I reminded myself that there's no "wrong" way to play)
Hello. I haven't taken the time to write a game-related essay in years, so you can count this as keyboard diarrhea. TL:DR below.
Across three operating systems (Windows, Mac OS and Linux Mint) and the Switch version over an eight-year period, I haven't taken the time to address traffic, budgets and supply lines while avoiding excessive pollution to such an extent without having my cities fail. Well, on Saturday, March 25th, 2023, after fighting near-bankruptcy several times dues to catering to several college and professional sports teams, I finally reached the final tier for the first time (Megalopolis). For a few minutes I had a grin on my face, saying out loud "FINALLY! NOW I can join the other Skylines fans in that my lazy butt finally got the hang of the systems, knew which policies to use and/or avoid, corrected congestions, connections are solid, and the campus didn't bankrupt the city! YES!" Right after the Heavenly City achievement popped up on Steam, a little while later another achievement popped up (Distinguished Academics, meaning a five-star campus)! Thanking Heaven that the struggle and expenses finally allowed the educational money pit to still reach top-tier, I soon saved the session as two different files and exited the game.
Steam's post-game summary, which I reviewed once I quit the game, was weird...
The game just celebrated it's eighth birthday, yet only 9.5% of players unlocked the Heavenly City achievement, which requires a population of 85,000 which also unlocks monuments. At the time, I knew that there had to be more than that - after all, Colossal OrdeParadox Interactive/Tantalus sold almost thirteen million units across computers and gaming consoles. The Campus-related achievement seemed only weirder - only 1.1%?
Wait, what? Surely other people than myself and a select few have nurtured a university campus and virtual students' needs until they reached the final tier. This couldn't be right - unless gamers just didn't care. Did the majority of gamers skip the campus DLC? Were campuses just not worth the continuous investment? What does this say about other Skylines DLCs?
Then the junior accountant part of me (usually suppressed on weekends when I play games) surfaced. One-and-one-tenth of a percent of 13 million past and present gamers1 is still a lot, right? Surely the achievements are broken, right?
It turned out to equal 143,000 players, or licenses having earned the achievement. Well (shrugs)...out of thirteen million, it would make some sense. But why so few, besides the fact that caring for a university campus can be downright PAINFUL at times, and before the Campuses DLC was available, players dropped a "generalized" university in the city and called it a day if they wanted to fill the office buildings and industrial administration openings throughout the city. The Campus DLC is also one of the "younger" DLCs (May 21, 2019)2 And yet, I saw a shot of a user's campus which was built like a palace on a land peninsula out and nearly over an ocean...(this was before I remembered that the campus must have been built with the Infinite Money mod).
Okay...what about the bigger factor? Out of 13,000,000 units sold, it makes no sense that only 9.5%* of registered copies officially earned the top population-based tier. I mean, reaching that tier is part of the normal manner of playing the game. If a player doesn't screw up, they'll reach the tier eventually.
Except it equates to 1,235,000 licensed copies having recorded that goal*.
This is where the analyzing stopped and my calm, rational self took over.
1) Steam is only counting Steam-based licenses. The total number of units sold is spread amongst PS4, Xbox One S/X, Windows, Nintendo Switch (facepalm), PS5 and Xbox Series S/X, making my calculations invalid. With the pandemic bringing additional players back to the Steam version and Epic store as well as creating a larger console player base (especially now that Cities: Skylines Remastered for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is now a thing [TWENTY-FIVE TILES without mods!? AAAAARGH!!!3 4). I wasn't able to pull up console sales data easily, but it doesn't excuse the fact that my numbers are off. Thus, it can be said that more gamers have achieved the goals, it's just that we can't easily see it. Then again...
2) "WHO CARES?" Maybe, just maybe, gamers are using this as a more sophisticated form of Minecraft." Knowing that achievements are disabled the minute that gameplay starts with mods enabled, players are simply finding their creativity heightened, zen strengthened and their personal goals realized without the constraints set by the developers - achievements be [expletive]. We see the large uber-metropolises (metropoles?) shown here on this subreddit and others. IRL urban planners use the game as a simulation tool. The water physics are still under constant observation and are exploited in various ways (oh man, who can forget THIS6?). And lots of players have the guts to play outside the rules (darn you all with your 81 tiles and enough RAM to run it!) rather than be squares (me, apparently!).
I say all of the above to say this: am I one of the few people still playing within the constraints of the game while others "mod it up" and have fun their way? All these years I've had great fun with the challenge of the game, but am I really one of the few that do so? Is this because of the game's age? After all, the past eight years saw me complete my Bachelor's, move across the country, have a heart attack scare, and stop buying off-the-shelf computers and finally learn to build/upgrade my own. Does this mean I and others who continue to play this way are "hardcore"?
TL:DR - Finally reached the Megalopolis tier after eight years of playing and see my university last long enough to reach five stars. Face fell when I saw the percentages of players who reached the same goals. Incorrectly calculated numbers for data explaining the low numbers. Decided that it's just a game, who cares, and this Reddit post may as well be tissue paper for readers' backsides.
And with that...time to launch Cities: Skylines, buy a new tile, and see if I can build an airport without going bankrupt (probably not) while listening to Christopher Titus's podcast. Thanks.
