Writing on here because I'm conflicted about how to feel about this situation. At our restaurant it is pretty upscale (entrees ranging from $30-90). I got hired as a waitress with waitressing experience and was quickly moved to the bar in the mornings when we don't have a bartender in the mornings while it is slow (like so slow it's dead). This was about week into my time there this starting occurring. I have no been there for two and a half weeks altogether. It hits 5:30pm and the service tickets start flying, our strongest bartender is able to keep up with them and we are all doing fine. Our manager comes behind the bar and starts dawdling around the liquor in front of the bartender doing service tickets, getting in his way and micro managing him with tasks that are irrelevant (get this person more water, clean this tiny spill) and this is unfortunately not a rare occurrence for him, he does it every shift. If you ignore him or tell him you already know he takes it as disrespect and will make you go to the bathroom for a "break" or he starts threatening your job.

I (24f) and my fiancé (26m) have been living in a new build home since late October. The day our only next door neighbours moved in I got the fright of my life. It was late at night and a total stranger was banging on our door. My fiancé looked through the keyhole and said there’s a weird man standing outside, what should I do. The man was silent, he was behaving really and I mean really, suss. Like he was absolutely vile to him, and I told my fiancé I would go round there and confront him. My fiancé will not let me. He literally said we would go round there after he has built decking for today but now he won’t let me say anything. What am I supposed to do? I don’t want to let this prick get away with talking to my fiancé like that, think he might have even threatened him, and I’m absolutely sick of this vendetta too. The friend who is helping him with the decking is even ex military, he would deffo sort him out. Am I better off writing a letter and saying what I think on that? Answer: Just like our Universe, we begin with The Postulate of Intrinsic Consciousness, which states,
All the physical Energy that came into existence at t = 0, in the Big Bang event is, and always has been, intrinsically conscious within Itself.
Or,
The Big Bang wasn't only a physical event, It was also a conscious experience experienced within the physical Energy Itself.
Or, most succinctly put,
E = C, Energy = Consciousness.
This makes sense, of course, because you, yourself, are a physical object, namely, your body, which is formed out of nothing except a small subset of the basic physical Energy that came into existence in the Big Bang event, and you are also a conscious experience experienced within your physical form.
So, under this Postulate, In the Beginning a very dense, infinitesimally small, perfectly symmetric sphere of conscious physical Energy, in fact, we say “physico-conscious” Energy, came into existence in the Big Bang event.
At some time later than t = 0, this basic, original, physico-conscious Energy formed particles out of Itself, and since the basic Energy they're formed out of is conscious, then, obviously, so are the particles.
Viewed Objectively, that is to say, from withoutside of itself, a particle is a spherical region of increased Energy density possessing approximately measurable physical variables, velocity, temperature etc..
Just like when you're observed objectively you’re also a physical object with approximately measurable physical properties.
Subjectively, all individual quantum particles experience themselves as singular, individual, centres of Consciousness.
Just like you subjectively experience yourself as a singular center of Consciousness within your physical form.
All individual conscious particles, as well as all individual conscious entities, including yourself, possess some limited conscious perception of their local surrounding Universe.
As well as Limited Free Will, the conscious ability to freely choose from limited sets of possible future states and actions to instantiate; the collapse of the wavefunction is a conscious act, specifically, a conscious choice.
For example, when an electron enters a magnetic field, it behaves like a compass needle that can point in one of only two directions within the field, towards the northerly direction of the field, or else in exactly the opposite direction. This phenomenon is referred to as the electron’s “spin”.
When an electron enters a magnetic field it always aligns its spin either “spin-up” or “spin-down” with respect to the field.
Very importantly, it is technically and absolutely impossible to predict or predetermine in which direction any given electron will actually align its spin before the electron actually does collapse into one of the two directions.
The best we can do is assign probabilities to each of two physically possible states.
If before entering the field the electron’s spin is halfway between up and down, then there exists a 50% chance of the electron aligning spin-up and a 50% chance of spin-down.
If before entering the field the electron is already more closely aligned to one of the directions, then it is more probable that the electron will align in that direction, BUT, no matter how nearly the electron is already aligned in one direction, it can always surprise us and flip all the way round into the further direction, and the ability to surprise is the essence of Free Will.
If the electron is aligned exactly in one of the directions before entering the field, the probability of the electron surprising us and flipping around into the more distant alignment becomes progressively smaller, but still possible.
Thus, conscious electrons are just like conscious humans, in that their actions are impossible to exactly predetermine and the best we can do is assign probabilities to each of the possible states and actions available to them to instantiate.
For example, if I ask you to snap the fingers of one of your hands, it is impossible for me, or anyone, to predetermine which hand you will actually choose to snap.
Since you have two hands I can assign approximate probabilities of 50% to the two possibilities. ( Since more people are right hand dominant we can expect some skew favouring right hands )
So, just like an electron, you have some limited conscious perception of your local surrounding Universe ( look around you ), as well as limited Free Will; you can't choose to instantiate anything you can imagine, like flying, for example, but you can freely choose to instantiate any of the physically possible future states and actions you can imagine, like walking, for example.
A bird is a very different formation of physico-conscious Energy than a human, and its physical form is such that ‘flight’ is regularly a member of the set of possible future states and actions that the bird can freely will to instantiate.
You have totally Free Will, just like you experience having every waking moment of your life, however, it is limited by the Laws of Physics as well as by your physico-conscious formation.
Atomic Intelligence
The basic conscious particles of our Universe have spent the last fourteen billion years evolving into more and more complex configurations and formations, from particles, atoms, and molecules, all the way up to humans, formations of physico-conscious Energy so complex that we are capable of consciously reflecting on the nature of our own Consciousness.
This evolution of complexity has also been an evolution of conscious intelligence.
Since the nucleus of any atom is much more massive than its surrounding electrons, the nucleus can energetically dominate its electrons.
The nucleus of an atom can emit energetic radiation, photons, in the direction of a surrounding electron exciting it into a higher energy level which also changes its position in space.
And since all of space is permeated with electric field, along with the fact that electrons possess negative electric charge, means that when an electron’s position changes a corresponding electric force will act on the atom resulting in a change its velocity, that is, a change in its speed and/or the direction of its motion through space; a nucleus can use its surrounding electrons as “electric rudders” to steer through space.
In short, a nucleus possessing one or more electrons can consciously steer itself through space, and the more electrons a nucleus is surrounded by, the more exactly and skillfully, which is to say, the more intelligently, it can consciously navigate its way through space.
This is an example of how The Principles of The Physics of Consciousness allow us to construct rigorously scientific theories of Conscious Intelligence from first principles.
Homo Sapiens
Terrestrially, over the course of fourteen billion years, this natural evolution of the complexity of physico-conscious forms has culminated in the physico-conscious entity we refer to as the Human Being.
A human being, your good self, for example, is a centre of Consciousness surrounded by a very vast quantity of individually conscious neurons ( and the other types of cells of your body ), like a nucleus surrounded by electrons.
Your primary centre of Consciousness, which like everything in our Universe is formed out of nothing except the basic physico-conscious Energy of our Universe, resides at the centre of your central nervous system, somewhere behind your eyes, which it uses, that is, which you use, to physico-consciously connect with and control the actions of your physico-conscious body.
Your brain and sense organs mediate between your centre of Consciousness, your conscious sensation of Self, and your local surrounding Universe in all the various ways you're intimately familiar with as a conscious human.
For example, your physico-conscious eyes, occipital lobe, etc. mediate between the photons of your local surrounding Universe and your centre of Consciousness where you experience your conscious visual experience of your local surrounding Universe.
Your nerve fibers employ what we call “Chameleon Consciousness”, which is when a conscious entity, or group of conscious entities, are capable of taking on the conscious state of whatever physio-conscious formation they happen to be embedded in.
So, for example, the nerve endings embedded in your big toe take on the conscious state of the cells in your toe surrounding them, and, thus, by way of your nervous system, your centre of Consciousness can choose to energise the neuronal pathways to your big toe and you can share in its conscious experience.
Try for yourself, freely choose to put your conscious attention in your favourite big toe and see how it's doing. If you stubbed it this morning you'll be able to share in the conscious sensation of its pain and throbbing.
This is an example of the passive, or witnessing, function of your nervous system, as well as proof that your entire physical form is conscious which can only be explained if all the basic physical Energy and particles you're formed out of are themselves conscious.
You can also use your nervous system actively to activate the different functions and capabilities of your brain and body.
Most immediately your centre of Consciousness can connect with the regions of your brain in your prefrontal cortex that you use to imagine things visually.
Again, it's worth mindfully witnessing how you can freely choose to do this whenever you want; close your eyes and imagine a tree, or the face of your latest crush, or what have you.
In doing so, you, your centre of Consciousness, physico-consciously connected with the conscious neurons of your imagination, which you can consciously ‘throw’ or ‘cast’ like conscious clay such that your private ( thank God! ) conscious experience of them is the image of whatever you chose to imagine.
Of course, your imagination isn't as vivid as when you see a real tree or face with your eyes because the density of neurons you're using to form the image is orders of magnitude lower than the density of particles and atoms that form an actual tree or face. Thus, we see with our imaginations only “as if through a glass darkly”.
Moving your Hand
All the particles, atoms, and molecules forming the muscle fibers of your arm and hand are quantum entities, and as such can discontinuously jump into, or we say “collapse” into different physical states from a preceding state.
When your centre of Consciousness, you, wants to lift your hand, you consciously will it to move, which involves you consciously connecting to the regions of your brain involved in movement, and from there a nervous signal is sent to the muscle fibers in each of the relevant muscles of your hand.
When the signal arrives at the muscle fibers, its effect is to stimulate them in such a way that they consciously jump into their contracted state.
Nerve fibers are distributed throughout any given muscle such that all its fibers contract at approximately the same time.
How did I Learn how to Control my Muscles?
As we already noted, your nerves can function passively and actively.
This means that any time you connect with your muscles to move them, you are simultaneously physico-consciously connected to their conscious experience, which is just to say that you know what your muscles consciously feel like when you contract them.
This is how you consciously learn to control your body; at first you don’t know how to control your limbs and you just experiment by sending random conscious impulses to them, resulting in the random, uncoordinated movements of newborn babies.
After some time experimenting in this way, since the baby has conscious sensation of her muscular movement, she learns how it feels to move her arm in one direction compared to another, and before very long she has learnt how to move her limbs in any direction she wants.
You experience a similar conscious experience any time you learn some new physical skill.
Your physico conscious Self, or physico-conscious Soul, is a large and very complex quantum molecule that has taken millions of years of evolution to achieve Its current level of complexity.
Your physico-conscious Soul has the ability to consciously choose some of Its future states and actions, like an electron can consciously choose between aligning spin-up and spin-down.
However, you are a vastly more complex formation of conscious Energy than an electron, and as such you can choose from proportionally more states and actions to choose from, hop, skip, dance, cry etc..
Of these different states that you can choose to instantiate, some of them are such that the effect on your surrounding brain is that a signal is sent to your muscles to move your hand in particular directions.
Thus, you know how you have to consciously feel, or how you have to consciously “will” within yourself, depending on how exactly you want your hand to move.
The more experimentation you do the more refined your movements become, and this can continue long into adulthood if our baby grows up to become a ballet dancer, for example.
All of this experimentation is pre-verbal and non-verbal; it can be achieved long before the baby has learnt any language, indeed, it is regularly achieved by every other animal species on the planet without any possibility of language whatsoever.
Similarly, you can move your body without any verbal activity; your inner voice can be totally silent while you walk or dance, for example, indeed, this silencing of your inner voice can improve your performance of such activities.
This is why you can't really verbally explain what the difference is between when you move your left hand or your right; you just intuitively, non-verbally, know how you need to consciously feel within yourself to bring about specific desired movements.
But, of course, humans specialise in multitasking, so, if you want to, you can also enjoy a conversation with someone, or with yourself, at the same time as walking or dancing.

• So the scratches I saw all over the walls when I went back the day after her dad went to pick up her stuff after I had repainted the entire place could have been deliberate/saw they did by accident but didn't bother to fix it.
  

We were notified about the issues with the property via a cc'd email asking how we would like to proceed ie either fix the issues ourselves or have the money deducted from the deposit and straight away I got a cc'd reply to the agency from her saying that she "understood and accepted the issues" and asked how much money would be deducted.
On the one hand I believe it is right to not potentially have a scobble over who should do what etc and just get whatever money back and draw a line. On the other hand for about 30 mins (until I jumped into the gym to work off the emotion) my blood was BOILING because of:

• How disastrously she handled the BU but seen as I wasn't allow any input I can't be blamed at all for the state of the situation now.
  
• The idea that even though there is no victim in this situation she is playing it and (obviously I know family will always back family) but her parents are backing her and even being passive aggressive with me
  
• It looks likes I'm the one to get all the blame for everything (see point #1)
  
• She is still avoiding anything that has to do with me ie that house, no thought of 'I don't want to waste money when I/we could fix the house things ourselves', it seems like the reply was a 'THAT IS CONNECTED TO MY EX, AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. TAKE THE MONEY' and given she got everything (see point #1) I don't get (but it's not my duty to now) why she's still unhappy/angry
  

Based off our last run in (the photo incident - see story for details) she still isn't processing the BU/has turned pain she feels and is projecting it into anger towards me instead.
Now, it's been 6 months since the BU, but the healing for us both could only start 3 months ago as we were living with eachother still/in the whole "door is ajar"/following her breaking NC 3 days into it we were messaging/calling/spent the evening with eachother.
But over those 3 months of radio silence (both have blocked eachother on everything + before you say anything we are not the emailing sort) the strides I've made through therapy in the first 3 weeks of NC, achieving career goals and actually going beyond them, improvements in fitness, filling all the voids with positive experiences etc has got me to the place where I don't hate her (I did and very strongly until therapy helped process that and undo it) and I don't love her. So although I do feel like I'm getting the shit end of the stick here with regards to the attitude of her family, her reactions when encountering eachother in public and how the BU overall went. Through the strides I've mentioned, I am able to use radical acceptance - acknowledge the anger, feel it, then let it go as there is nothing you can do.
I don't feel the need to rise to this because of a piece of advice that friend on the phone (he's a therapist but obviously isn't MY therapist, he gives best mate advice) which was, "mate she's acting like a fucking child which is a surprise honestly but, it says alot more about her and how she's handling the BU more than it does about you. Look at what you've done since it happened, look how you are when you clock eachother, you have all the strides YOU'VE made to thank for that". I had a 15 min phone vent with him, did some exercise, felt miles better and that evening went to a gig to watch an HUGE band who grew up in the city I live in do a 'welcome home' gig, bonus was the tickets were free as I did some work for a member of the band (one of the "beyond career goals") and I took a girl mate who subsequently ended up "hoping on the good foot and doing the bad thing" with.
Point is, keep going with the self improvement guys and girls. Because when you are faced with any form of interaction with that ex, you'll come face to face with how you've been spending your time since the split. And I'm these 3 months I'm nearly (in the top 90% I'd say) back to my pre relationship self. Still more work to do like work on emotions so if anymore negative stuff from her side comes through to me I don't feel it, but apart from that I have the rest covered.
Again to clarify, THERE IS NO VICTIM IN MY STORY. It's just a BU, something that happens in life that everybody experiences.

Hi! Even though I’ve worked for Target for nearly two years, I’m just now attempting to use my vacation time for the first time ever. I have 56 hours at the moment.
First, I want to make sure I’m doing it right - if you’re using it for an actual vacation, you have to request the days off as per usual (done and approved), and then at some point you have to go in and do another request for those dates under the vacation time pay section (forgot what it’s officially called) (done, has been sitting for multiple days and will probably be auto denied at this point).
I was told you can only use your average hours, so I essentially just put random hours in the form in random days until it was equal to 25 (which is what mine is)…is that right?
Can you use your vacation time for things like sick days and low hour weeks (we don’t have sick time where I am)? I submits two requests for my vacation, one for week of and one for the week before, because I leave on a Saturday and I have low hours that week so I used it to bring it up to 25. I had to call out yesterday due to a bad cold turning into an ear infection (yayyy), so I was thinking of submitting a request to cover that missed shift as well if doable.
Lastly, who do I need to harass if it does get auto denied? Haha. Does someone other than your ETL approve it? He’s great about quickly approving time off requests, which is why I’m doubting that the pay request goes to him.

I'm currently reading Culture Warlords by Talia Lavin. It seems promising and if it's a good read, I'll be leaving it on my mother's bed with a note on it pleading with her to read it. This is my last big "hurrah" for lack of better words to get through to her. If it works maybe we can try to mend our relationship (it'll never be a good one though), maybe these past few years haven't been for nothing.
It feels like my Mother is getting sucked further. I had to sit next to her for 3 years as she wished for genocide on anyone who wasn't White. She doesn't remember this but she falls into it sometimes, old habits die hard I guess. She threatened me with conversion therapy and went out of her way to use dehumanizing and disgusting language about queer people for months after. She (a White woman) has told me, her child, that I will end up a drug addict and alcoholic because of my heritage (I'm Hispanic and apparently Indigenous). This was in the last month and whilst I was celebrating my ability to do something well. We fight constantly anymore (usually over politics and basic human rights) and it has culminated in me having to get used to her asking me even over the most minor things like misplaced socks," What the fuck is wrong with you." Asking isn't the right word to use here because it's never a question that she's seeking an answer for rather it's a statement, a declaration of her disgust over everything she deems wrong with me. I wish it didn't hurt anymore but I don't cry whenever I hear it now so I guess it's improvement for me.
I've given up my teen years to trying to make her love me, love herself, stop seeing the world the way she does. I can't take much more of this though. It's like I'm being baited into hope, a pathetic carrot dangled just out of reach tricking me into thinking we've made more progress than we actually have. Some days she's progressive, she's saying things that are good and the next she's generalizing minorities, believing hateful propaganda, saying hurtful things to me. The worst part is she criticizes me for being overly emotional but when I tried to tell her why, how her past actions hurt me she claimed I was lying, making things up she's never said for attention. She then turned to my White sibling and listened to them, praised them for repeating the same points I was making, the only difference being that they are a couple shades lighter than me. They're a child concerned for their parent, I'm the bad guy who's radicalized their delicate mind and turned them against her. It completely ignores I've taken on the role of parent, the nights I've stayed up comforting them for the actions of our mother and the hatred she spouts, parenting the bigotry out of them so they don't follow in her footsteps, trying to teach them media literacy and emotional intelligence. I just want to be a teenager. My mother was alt-right before, always was, but she worsens every year. I hate that they take her away from me more every year and I hate that they've taken away my childhood.
