 | Pictures are the new gym, old gym, then the process I went through over the weekend. submitted by mickeydoogs to homegym [link] [comments] Re did the homegym this weekend after some deliberation and deciding what I wanted to do with my space. I was tired of my sloped floor, so probably over did it. I made a 12x12 platform that's fully level with the rack, deadlift platform and storage shelf. To achieve the platform being level, I scribed the slope of the floor to each 2x6, then ripped the board down to get the slope. Framed it up with 16 OC joists, added 3/4" osb, then 1/2" spruce plywood on top. This thing is solid, and heavy as hell. Added some low pile carpet to the inside of the rack. I found my bench setup would cause my feet to slide on rubber, so this was a better solution. Painted the walls from the God awful blue to a nice deep purple. Still need to paint all the wood in the pictures black, but that's another weekend project. I'll probably redo the floor eventually too. I went from my 6 post rack back to a 4 post, and made a dedicated lat pull/low row with my rack attached lat pull. The BOS sliding jammer arms are on their way, and will be added to those uprights permanently. I could squat or bench off those uprights too if I wanted, but the floor is sloped and so its not ideal. I think some Pepin adjustable dumbbells and a better incline bench are in order. Probably a barbell holder too. Hope you guys enjoy. |

(A temple town situated on seven hills) submitted by MechanicalBot1234 to IndiaSpeaks [link] [comments] This was planned a month ago, and for those who don't know, Darshan ticket (or a 5-10 second appointment with God almighty) must be made in advance through a biometric based advance reservation system, that requires fast fingers to get a booking done when they open the slots every month. Our Darshan slot was 5 PM yesterday. We had reached Tirupathi (base of the hills) the previous night. On the day of the Darshan, early in the morning we got ready, had breakfast and were planning to reach the temple on the hills. We were contemplating if we should take public transportation or taxi or just walk the way up the seven hills. We hailed a cab and that guy advised about options we had, the two paths to walk, the short one or the long one. He suggested us to take the short walk. But on a whim, my spouse decided that we should take the long one. We decided that to be a divine decision, we took it. The cab driver dropped us at the entrance, and pointed in the direction we need to walk. As it is customary, traditional Hindus don't wear shoes on the seven hills. We got advice to leave our shoes in the hotel room and we did. We have never walked barefoot in the last 25 years. We were excited about the adventure that was ahead of us! At that time, we did not know what an intense experience this was going to be. The long route was about 9 kms, with about 3550 steps in between that traverses the seven hills. Hindus believe, God's own mother walked this path several thousand years ago. The entrance was filled with crowd of people, stalls, shop selling food to spiritual offerings. We navigated them all and came to the first step There we saw a crowd of people seeking blessings and worshipping the first step with Sandal paste, turmeric and Saffron, lighting camphor, incense sticks and paying their respect through prostrations. Orange, saffron, yellow and red, was everywhere. The first few steps were exciting but already we felt humbled by the spirituality around us. Hinduism doesn't profess a book or a code of conduct. It is a library of ever changing ideas around a few basic beliefs, and all promote a 1:1 spiritual connection with God almighty. People who looked economically poor, all around us, were clearly richer than us in spirituality and and passion, and their 1-1 connection with almighty humbled us. We saw young kids teaching us the seriousness of their prayers, elderly people crying in emotion on the journey they were about to make. We saw people decorating every step (yes all 3550 steps) with turmeric, sandal and kumkum. Yellow, gold, saffron was strewn everywhere. Our feet was yellow and red. We saw people lighting lamps at every step because they believe God herself walked this path. We saw many families where husband and wife were jointly decorating each step or mother and kids lighting each step. We saw many parents carrying kids, even days old new born babies for their rendezvous with lord almighty up the hills. All through the climb, people were chanting, "Govinda Govinda" loudly, inspiring us and electrifying the entire atmosphere. The first hour of climb was exciting, we stopped once and replenished ourselves with some fluids and carried on. Every step was a spiritually stimulating experience. During the second hour we stopped more. We were about 1500 steps done and we thought we were doing great. At 1750 steps, we were reasonably tired, we stopped and took break. I remember seeing a sign 1800 steps done and 1750 steps to go and told my family we are 50 percent done. Then we saw a sign we have covered 2 kms and we have 6.4 kms to go. It was daunting! We continued on, we stopped at temples along the way, took more breaks and continued ahead. After 4 hours of uphill walking, were getting tired and got our initial doubt if we had chosen the wrong route for our physical ability. The easier one would have been done by now. But the spiritual experience was already overwhelming and was reassuring that we are doing the right thing. After about 5 hours of climbing the hills, we were still seeing many new born babies being carried up, young toddlers walking up, one out of shape lady heaving and crying walking up, an elderly man (possibly in this seventies) carrying a bag walking up. I even saw a 110 year old woman, partially blind in one eye and fully blind in another. People were all visibly exhausted but we're carrying on. We still saw people painting and decorating each step, each pillar, lamps, colors, lights everywhere. We saw so many elderly people pulling themselves up, loudly chanting, spiritually energizing and uplifting those around themselves. Then we saw the unbelievable! We saw several people walking up, on their knees! Young men, one little girl and many middle aged people were walking on their knees climbing 7 hills. They were crying in pain! I could see that their spiritual grit is far deeper than mine. Their faces told me stories. It broke me! They broke my ego right there!! I am nobody in front of these people! We decided to walk slower and give these pilgrims some support! A crowd was with us screaming the war cry, "Govinda, Govinda". After about 15-20 minutes, all of us lost more energy and the scream faded. That's when, three kids thought it was time for their moment and decided to yell the movie war cry, "Jai Bahubali!" Loudly. Their mother chided them not to do that, but it was a much needed comic relief for the crowd around us. We all burst into laughter and gained some energy and kept going. Near the end, everyone of us was in deep physical pain, but it was a.deeply emotional and spiritual experience. We end the climb with more ceremonial prayers at many points. We walked uphill 6 hours. The only time I had gone up in the last 10 years is when I pull gas lever on my work seat. This was an experience beyond comparison. We ate lunch at 3:30 pm, checked in to the long 2.5 hour wait line for our Darshan and got a full 20 second darshan of God almighty. And as almost everyone would say, those few seconds you forget everything and just watch silently! That's what we did for 20 seconds, until the usher said times up. Let's get this right off the bat: This year's class of free agents is a pretty weak one; beyond James Harden and that flat earth weirdo (neither of whom are affordable as-is, both of whom that are unlikely to want to become a Raptor especially with the rumors that Harden wants to return to Houston), there aren't many high-end, All-Star or borderline-level talents on the market and with the Raptors looking to compete/having to due to the light protections on their 2024 first, this is not an ideal circumstance for the team to improve in the offseason without trading away some of their current bench or even one of their starters, even with a historically grand MLE for them to take advantage of if they can stay under the tax/above the cap as they've done over the past few seasons.
In fact, the Raptors very own UFAs are some of the names at the top of the list and likely to be targeted by various teams with cap space, most notably Fred VanVleet who is looking for a sizeable, long-term deal after signing with Klutch, whom the Orlando Magic have reportedly been interested in acquiring as they have the cap space to sign him outright. We'll ignore the likes of VanVleet, Banton, Trent and Poeltl for the moment and take a look a brief look at some non-Raptors players before the 2023 free agency picture becomes more clear for the team overall.
The Raptors have 2 main needs beyond re-signing or extending their current players:
Speaking of which: Most of the names mentioned here are ones that I consider to be "realistic" to an extent, though not necessarily likely overall i.e. Jerami Grant would be a great pickup due to his 3-point shooting and overall solid defense, no he is not even worth considering because his next contract will be way more than the team can afford and he's unlikely to want to come to the Raptors when the Blazers can re-sign him to a larger deal due to possessing his Bird Rights. Additionally, just because a player is mentioned here does not mean i'm in favor of signing them; there are a couple of names of players I would be hesitant to sign due to various off-court issues. This is meant to be a general overview of the available players that fit the above description in some capacity. That said, I will be mentioning those allegations for the players in question because I personally find it distasteful to overlook that just as I find it distasteful when people talk about signing Kyrie to their team given all the heinous stuff he's said and done.
With that in mind, here is a brief breakdown of the 2023 offseason's free agents.
Most likely aka. MLE Candidates
Note: The 2023 MLE is projected to be around $11.37 million; the player can be signed for a maximum of 2 years.
Seth Curry (SG): 3-point specialist (career average of 43% from 3), turning 33 years old. UFA for the Brooklyn Nets. Obligatory "fuck Brooklyn".
Lonnie Walker IV (SG): 36% 3 point shooter, below-average defender. Has been having a career year with the Lakers but is a UFA.
Patrick Beverley (PG): Lifetime hater of Chris Paul, walking flagrant foul but overall tough/competitive defender.
Jalen McDaniels (SF): Inconsistent shooter. Versatile on defense (though not as versatile/good as the other McDaniels with a first name starting with "J"). Name was mentioned around the trade deadline as a player the Raptors were interested in, hence them being included in this section. UFA for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Stretching A Bit (Money, Fit, Option Concerns)
Caris LeVert (SG): Inconsistent shooter but most recent season has seen him shoot 38% on 4 3s a night. Has missed significant time in the past few seasons due to health issues, making it difficult to say what his next contract will be. UFA for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Harrison Barnes (SF/PF): Career 38% shooter from 3. Championship-experience-having veteran who is turning 31 but has also been integral to the Kings return to the playoffs so it's hard to say what his next contract will be like.
Bruce Brown (PG/SG): Has a player option but unclear if they will decline it or leave with the Nuggets being a championship contender this yeagoing forward with a healthy Jokic/Murray/MPJ. Solid backup point guard and great defender. Has been shooting well in his past 2 seasons (38% average over the past 2 seasons) but on a limited clip of around 2 3s a game.
Russell Westbrook (PG): Has been impactful as a point guard for the Clippers but sample size of games is limited and he's not closing in most games due to his poor defense. Could be interesting as a bench point to push the pace of the game given the Raptors having the highest forcing of turnovers in the league but Westbrook cannot shoot, often leading to teams slagging him off/the team fielding Westbrook playing 4 on 5.
Tre Jones (PG): Restricted free agent for the San Antonio Spurs. Good ball-handler but may be outside of the Raptors MLE given him filling in the point-guard-shaped hole left by the Dejounte Murray trade with solid play since.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker (SG): Restricted free agent for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Streaky shooter who has been having a turbulent year after being traded to his 3rd team (Blazers, Jazz, then Timberwolves) in 2 seasons.
Naz Reid (PF/C): As a 33% shooter from 3, Naz does not fit in with the team's needs (they're a stretch to call them a stretch big even if they shoot 3s better than any Raptors player) but they're being included because they're 6'9 and the advanced stats love Reid (and this front office loves their players that advanced stats love). Would otherwise not be worth mentioning given those circumstances but does warrant special mention as the Wizards were interested in Fred VanVleet during this year's deadline and the Raptors were interested in acquiring Kristaps at the 2022 deadline but declined due to the Mavericks asking for Trent in addition to Dragic and the Raptors 2022 first-round pick.
Note: KP has significant off-court allegations regarding sexual assault.
Christian Wood (PF/C): 3-point bucket getter, subpar defender though his effort on defense has been more notable in his most recent season. UFA for the Dallas Mavericks, would cost too much to acquire without it being a sign and trade.

Facts about me:
- I have been roleplaying since 2012. Yes, I got experience under my belt, and yes, my ideas usually have really long reads, but don't let that scare you off! After the starter is off, I may lower myself down to a decent paragraph or two, sometimes three! It all depends on what I've got to work with.
- My timezone is EST. I'm awake from 9am - 2am and I'm usually free unless I'm busy doing house chores, out of the house, asleep, or playing video games on my switch. I'm usually become REALLY active at or around 8pm.

So the story goes like this:
I got a small particle stuck in my left eyes cornea riding my motorcycle with my visor up. Went to Ophtalmic Emergency to get it removed. They told me I had a lesion on the cornea and gave me an antibiotic cream. Applied it for 4 days. Felt perfect.
After 2 days felt eye pain again, noticed I had inflamation under eye like in the picture. Went to ophthalmic emergency. They told me I had viral conjuntivitis probably picked up at the first ER visit since I had the open wound on the cornea.
Prescribes 1 week Ofloxacin drops, 5 drops a day, and Bromofenac 2 drops a day. They additionally said if I wasn't better by the 6th day to switch from Oflaxacin to Dexamethasone.
My eye condition got worse with my eye being much reder, oozing yellow watery tears and being more inflamed at the bottom.So on the 6th day (the 25th) I switched to dexamethasone. I noticed pain and pressure on the eye immediately after using. Waking up the next day my eye was much much worse, around the eye, above and below was way more inflamed, could barely keep my eye open, the pain on my eye was much worse. Took some ibuprofen and applied dexamethasone and bromofenac drops, the eye was slightly better. Today I decided to use Oflaxacin together with dexamethasone because I felt it would always make my eye feel much better. And it did, Oflaxacin today made my pain much milder (for the first 3 hours after putting the drop). Now I noticed that my vision on my left eye is significantly blurrier since switching to dexamethasone, i feel this has been getting worse since day 25th. The blurred vision is maintained 6 hours after dexamethasone drop. Tomorow I'm going to the ophthalmology emergency. I dont know if this is viral or bacterial conjuntivitis, googling symptoms doesn't help. It has lasted 7 and a half days now, my eye is red, oozing yellow watery discharge, it hasn't passed to the right eye even though viral conjuntivitis is extremely contagious. This pill was discovered mixed in with my daughter's prescription. It appears to be a traditional tablet, white in color, 5/16 inches in diameter and about 1/8 inch at its thickest point. It has zero identification marks. Her prescribed medication is orange colored, football shaped pills, so it's very different from this white round one. We have removed the unidentified pill and segregated it.
My first question: do I need to be concerned about the safety of her prescribed medication? I spoke to a pharmacist at the pharmacy which filled the script and his response was, "it's not like we keep poison pills back here!" He acted like it was ridiculous for me to question the safety of my daughter's medication.
The second question: is having unidentifiable pills mixed in with prescription medication something that needs to be reported somewhere? I'm confident that this random pill didn't get into the bottle after the fact, we keep it safe and secure in the household and it doesn't look like any other medication we have. I get it, everyone makes mistakes from time to time. I honestly don't know what kind of response this situation warrants.

I have had the nikon d7000 for 8 years now. It was my first DSLR. Before that I was only shooting film with a Minolta SRT 201. Being a student at the time, I was never able to invest too much in lenses at the time, so I only have these for now:
I was thinking of keeping the d7000 and 50mm and giving it to my sister and selling the rest of the lenses (mainly because I'm embarrassed to sell a camera in such poor condition).
Since I don't make a living from photography, I was looking at the prices on the second-hand market, and I was thinking about switching to Sony, because I saw the Sony A7II for something like 740 USD here in my country, and I was thinking of starting slowly to acquiring a few good primes, starting with a 50mm 1.4 Sigma Art, and later change the camera body when I can afford it.
The photography I do is mainly for hobby, and it's usually landscapes and portraits, nothing sports, so speed doesn't matter much to me, and in terms of autofocus I can skip it a bit, although not totally of course.
And here is my question... Will it be worth making the change to a camera with 8 years on it? Not that I care much, but 750 USD here in my country it is not little money (needless to say, my budget is not enough for the A7III)
Another thing that worries me is that I saw comparisons, and in the bits per pixel section, the Nikon has 14, and the A7II has 12. How relevant is this?

After weeks of researching and being horribly indecisive (I had also been waiting for the money I planned to spend to come in to my account), I finally pulled the trigger on the Trek. I was a little hesitant to go with Trek mainly because it seems like every other bike on my trail is one and I wanted something different, but the customer service alone showed me the reason why so many people ride them.
My store has almost all models on sale for Trekfest, not just the stuff listed on the website, so with $200 off and no sales tax (yay Delaware) I walked out with it for $3199, plus another $30-something for some Bontrager Line Elite pedals that were 25% off. Grip on these are really great with the shoes I'm wearing. Tires were already set up tubeless and they even put the pedals on for me.
First ride went very nice except for me being more out of shape than I realized, but I feel that in a few weeks I can be breaking some personal records.
The lighting was horrible by the time I got it home and I just wanted to get out and ride before dark, so no pictures yet. I went with the red and it looks great. A little more orange tinted than it looks in pictures.

It’s a drizzly ambient air. I’m sitting in a crevice nestled at my university greenhouse, absolutely content in the most lonesome yet invigorating greenery I can find. I sit in front of a vast pool, framed by a hearty hill, a mountain really. I pull out a murky brown mason jar with a thrill from my banana colored bag. I stare determinedly at the jar, yet a bit hesitant for the slightly acidic ashy bitter taste.
Immediately, in a violent jerking motion, I unscrew the lid, hold my nose, squint my eyes, and throw back my head in a contorted smile. Gulp. Gulp. Gulp.
18 grams CWE for 18 hours, pH 3.3. Down the hatchet.
And thus I sit, cross legged anticipation.
Last time, I ate 500 blue heavenly seeds. I worry this time that my perspective won’t change. That the CWE I did wouldn’t be sufficient?

Insight is in sight but deep.
I don’t fear uncertainty because I need uncertainty. If I don’t have uncertainty there is no meaning in finding meaning.

The weird thing is last time it didn’t seem to have theirs characteristic flow. It feels as though my mental is in slow mo.
at this point I start to get hungry and have walked to my schools university Dining hall. I am astoundingly high off my *ss, uncontrollably grinning like a maniac whilst I order a sandwich and the dude making the sandwich is on some what sht is she smoking*
And then I realize something incredible. I feel absolutely euphoric, except I know I am not, that is not how I truly feel. And then, ever so slowly throughout my trip I begin to realize that my feelings have been deluding me.
My feelings are wrought in momentary physiology that is not fully indicative of my essence. My essence is some of the past, the present, and the future.
It should have been all of the present, but yet it hasn’t been. I begin to leave the dining hall, the food retains no more draw for me. ‘Reality’ seems simulatory to my fluttering consciousness.
Scene: at this point, I start to walk, without premeditative cause, rather an instinctive curiosity born in the sunlight that pours into my eyes. I have trudged fairly far, I collect myself by a secluded stream, staring up at the sky, the sun, and enveloping pines.
RAIN isn’t entirely fair because why endure if you don’t have something to grasp. Yet perhaps he alludes to that (thought about TED talk of Master Shi Heng Yi.)
Like sundrops on my tongue. Sun stream green cold warm. Everything I will ever need is already all within my life. Stream rocks warm, off of me and gone. Liquidate, mixed rims. Sweeping, wrapping, spinning. A medallion tacked on. Running water rocks, like straining out the unsatisfied all along.

Scene: At this point I have gotten up from being by the stream and have walked to a picnic table on a hill. I sit down next to a can of ‘fancy pineapple slices’, the most earthy turquoise. I turn in my chair to face the sun, and it is splintering golden light.
Euphoric euphoria. Layered. The magician’s fillory land has been found (reference to The Magicians trilogy by Lev Grossman where Julia essentially becomes a goddess and is spiritually healed after lifelong unsettlement, misery, and trauma.)
I don’t know anymore but it’s there.
Scene: I continue, as if carried by an invisible source. I reach a familiar yet now unfamiliar maze. A massive gravesite. The headstones are several hundred years forged. Some have scant moss sprinkled upon. A massive oak tree serves as a focal, but refractions of greens may be seen all around. I turn to read and lay a kiss upon each stone. Atlast, I stop upon the sight of two, lain side by side, flat on the face of the earth. Two dead lovers, resting twined forever.
Pediatrician, musician. They died 3 months apart. William Price Spencer MD, Catherine Waddell Spencer M.A. (born July 14th 1923, died November 30th, 2001.)
Everything tussles new. That’s the thing I was always passing.
Scene: I continue to walk, exiting the grave site to face the university intersection, ‘crossroads.’ I am pulled across the road in search of new wonders. I pass this intersection every day, multiple times. Yet now when I look around, I dwell curiously, kicking my heels into new earth, widemouthed, a traveler on foreign lands. [Pick your own student garden.] I then marvel at an old, unused, clasping wooden box.
Twining, dancing. Something so lovely but shared with all. So old, always been there, still works, no one.

Before We Begin - Background Info
The Evolution Of Tears is the debut album by the band The Gentle Men, consisting of Charlie White and Troy McKubre. I am of the belief that this album is a concept album, meaning all the tracks tie into one overarching storyline. I believe this story takes place in a different order than the tracklist. There might be multiple different storylines in this album, so I'll go over some of the ones that I believe could be taking place.The storyline has 3 characters: the Nerd, the Jock, and the Girl. Most of the album revolves around Nerd's gradual declination into insanity, with the other two characters only being shown at the start and end of the storyline.
Track 1: Your Boyfriend Doesn't Scare Me
Pretty straightforward track in the storyline. Nerd wants to date Girl, but Girl is dating Jock. So Nerd decides he needs to fight Jock to date Girl. Jock is generally a pretty nice guy, but Nerd thinks he's a dick. So, he fights Jock. He loses, of course. Not much else happens in this song, though it starts the descend into insanity of the Nerd.Track 2: Obsession
Nerd becomes Obsessed with the Girl, hence the title Obsession. He starts stalking her and eventually breaks into her house. Once again, not much happens here. The first arc doesn't have a lot of stuff happening.Track 3: 2019 Guy
For some reason which I cannot explain, Girl is now dating Nerd. She cheats on him with the Jock, which Nerd embraces, claiming himself to be a cuck. However, he doesn't truly like her cheating on him. He just accepts it so he can be with her. This is the end of the first arc.Interlude
Girl eventually breaks up with Nerd after an argument. Nerd is mad and begins to resent her. This sets in motion the second act, where things really start to get interesting.Track 4: I Am Truth
Something I haven't mentioned yet is that Nerd has schizophrenia. He takes pills to help mediate it. Someone, either Jock or Girl, put a specific pill in his meds that made him hallucinate. He starts believing in conspiracies. Specifically, he belives that reptiles/amphibians are going to take over the world. He decides to stay off his medication.Track 5: Real To Me
Nerd continues to stay off his medication. He starts to hallucinate a girlfriend. In the track it's stated that it's an anime girl, though it could be a metaphor for a real girl. He genuinely believes this is his new girlfriend. The few people that still talk to him mock him for it, most likely without knowing his condition. He ignores them, though, as he's too busy with his "new girlfriend". He takes it farther than just love, though, going so far as to have sex with her.Track 6: Skynut
This is where arc two culminates. Nerd's mental illness has worsened so much to the point where he believes there are robots from the future opening time portals to steal humanity's semen. He believes he has to fight these robots or else they'll enslave humanity. He drives to what he thinks is a giant robot to try to destroy it, but ends up crashing his car. This ends arc two.Track 7: 2004 Breakup
After getting back together with Jock, Girl breaks up with her again. This song is about how Jock felt about her, fueled by anger. Not much happens here.Track 8: Here's To Us
A lot has happened between Skynut and now. Nerd has just gotten out of a mental ward and he's much better off than he was before now. This song is about him looking back on the relationship with the Girl. He's matured now and doesn't hate the Girl, he feels like their breakup had to happen, even though he misses her.Track 9: Perfect Oblivion
Jock and Nerd make up and are actually good friends now. In this track, Jock reminisces on his relationship with the Girl, highlighting their experiences with drugs. He doesn't feel hate towards her anymore. He just misses her, just like Nerd.Conclusion

The scenarios for the season were:
- Custom Armor: Players could craft a custom armor set known as Obsidian Armor. Upon wearing the full set of Obsidian Armor, the player will take less fire/lava damage. Helmet Craft, Chestplate Craft, Leggings Craft, Boots Craft
- Custom Structures: Seven different biome related structures were possible to locate on the map, with various loot within the structures. The biomes correlating to these structures were plains, taiga, forest, jungle, swamp, desert, and savannah.
- Custom Terrain: The surface terrain was replaced with a mix of grass, dirt, coarse dirt, stone, cobblestone, and gravel.
- Custom Weapon: Players could craft a custom weapon craft known as an Obsidian Sword, which comes pre enchanted with sharpness 2 and upon right clicking gives resistance for 5 seconds. This ability has a cooldown of 30 seconds. Sword Craft
- CutClean: All food and ores will automatically drop in their smelted form.

Hello!
For the past 3ish months I have had a worsening rash around my eyes. Initially it was around my mouth as well, however the treatments listed below cleared up my mouth/cheeks. I have spoken with a dermatologist on 3 occasions, however two were tele health visits while I waited to see a doc in person.
In the past week the rash has become increasingly painful to the point where I have been reduced to tears, which is not common for me. The rash is flakey and stings constantly, although it is not itchy, and my eyes are very watery. My eyelids are also very swollen to the point where my vision is affected and I get nervous while driving.
I work from home so my environment is very consistent and there have been no changes to my diet or any products used. I have worn makeup maybe twice since this started and my only skincare products are CeraVe gentle cleanser and a lotion I have been using for two years.
So far I have tried: - OTC lotions with colloidal oatmeal and Vaseline. These were recommended by the telehealth derm and seem to have made things worse, if anything. - two prednisone tapers prescribed by the telehealth derm. These cleared up my skin entirely, however the irritation came back as soon as I stopped. I understand that oral steroids are not a long term solution and did not address the underlying cause of the irritation, but so far they have been the only thing that has helped. - .025% triamcinolone acetonide cream. Also prescribed by the telehealth derm and only used on the mouth irritation. - Fexofenadine prescribed by the telehealth derm. This has not helped with the irritation, although it does seem to reduce the stinging, but it has been less effective as of late. - Tacrolimus .1% prescribed by the in person derm. I have only been using this for a day so I understand it needs more time to work, but the pain was so extreme today I couldn’t help but post here - hydrocortisone 2.5% same details as above
-CeraVe healing ointment and CeraVe moisturizing cream, recommended by in person derm. These have been much more helpful than any other OTC products, however they have only minimally reduced my discomfort.
The dermatologist I spoke to this week recommended that I keep up with the last four items for a month before reaching back out. They also said that this was likely some kind of allergic reaction or just general irritation that may go away or it may not.
As mentioned, I understand that treatment takes time, but I’m not sure I can stand much more of this in the event it doesn’t work so I figured I’d reach out for any other opinions. Thank you so much for reading!

I work from home so my environment is very consistent and there have been no changes to my diet or any products used. I have worn makeup maybe twice since this started and my only skincare products are CeraVe gentle cleanser and a lotion I have been using for two years.
So far I have tried: - OTC lotions with colloidal oatmeal and Vaseline. These were recommended by the telehealth derm and seem to have made things worse, if anything. - two prednisone tapers prescribed by the telehealth derm. These cleared up my skin entirely, however the irritation came back as soon as I stopped. I understand that oral steroids are not a long term solution and did not address the underlying cause of the irritation, but so far they have been the only thing that has helped. - .025% triamcinolone acetonide cream. Also prescribed by the telehealth derm and only used on the mouth irritation. - Fexofenadine prescribed by the telehealth derm. This has not helped with the irritation, although it does seem to reduce the stinging, but it has been less effective as of late. - Tacrolimus .1% prescribed by the in person derm. I have only been using this for a day so I understand it needs more time to work, but the pain was so extreme today I couldn’t help but post here - hydrocortisone 2.5% same details as above
-CeraVe healing ointment and CeraVe moisturizing cream, recommended by in person derm. These have been much more helpful than any other OTC products, however they have only minimally reduced my discomfort.
The dermatologist I spoke to this week recommended that I keep up with the last four items for a month before reaching back out. They also said that this was likely some kind of allergic reaction or just general irritation that may go away or it may not.
As mentioned, I understand that treatment takes time, but I’m not sure I can stand much more of this in the event it doesn’t work so I figured I’d reach out for any other opinions. Thank you so much for reading!
