We’ve replaced the thermostat multiple times, checked and replaced the radiator, as well as the water pump. Yet it’s still overheating. What other things could be causing this?

2023.06.10 02:20 Pbandsadness 2006 Chevy Aveo cooling fan issue
I'm having an issue with a cooling fan on an 06 Aveo. It will not turn on. The fan itself is good. I checked it with a power probe, and it turns on when given power and ground. There appears to be constant ground at the connector, but the other wire never seems to have power. There is continuity between the power wire at the connector and the relay slot in the fuse box. The relay itself is good. It activates. But to be sure, I swapped it with a known good one and that still didn't fix the issue. The fuse isn't blown, and I swapped a couple around to be sure.
Any thoughts on what the issue may be? I don't want to condemn a PCU without being 100% sure, but I'm kind of leaning in that direction. I think I need to look at a wiring diagram.

2023.06.10 01:22 TNsmoke 2010 Lexus RX350 AC Relay
Hey guys. Forgive me if I am posting this in the wrong place or maybe if it has already been discussed. My wife's 2010 RX350 has stopped blowing cold air on a regular basis. Sometimes it will work and then 10 minutes later start blowing warm air. Or sometimes it wont work at all. Depends on the day. I have read a lot of a lot of people have seemed to say replacing the AC clutch relay will fix the issue. I would much rather try a $13 part before I take it somewhere and get bent over or try replacing the whole compressor by myself.
I opened the fuse box and the relays are located up under the brake fluid reservoir. Is there a diagram or could someone point me in the right direction on which one is the ac relay? The youtube videos are pretty shitty or for older models.
Any help would be appreciated.

2023.06.09 10:57 Bakugogoboomboom 2005 5cylinder, Horn not working
Had this Volvo for a few years recently replaced the engine with a semi “new” (70k mile) engine. Runs amazing I love it, but since I got the car the horn never worked. I don’t have the fuse box cover so I’m not sure which relay or fuse to check first before trying to replace the actual horns. I found what seems like a compatible cover with the diagram online. I tried swapping the FMI1 relay to the FMI2 spot but no luck. Anyone have any experience with this issue or know where to start? Any help is appreciated! submitted by Bakugogoboomboom to VolvoXC90 [link] [comments]

2023.06.08 17:22 gamereiker Ive come to the conclusion that Bandit and Chillis SUV is a Land Rover Discovery from 90s-early 2000s.
The wiki reads: In the short and the show the vehicle is mostly based off a 2012 Jeep Wrangler and 2009 Land Rover Discovery 3 and 2013 Land Rover Discovery 4, while the front is based off a Jeep Wrangler and the rear based off the Land Rover Discovery 3 & 4 series. This wasnt satisfactory for me, the newer land rover discovery does not share any design cues with the older discovery and it makes sense the family has an older budget oriented vehichle. submitted by gamereiker to bluey [link] [comments]
2023.06.08 14:15 IWantMyTipsss 1996 Cherokee crank but no start? Please help!
Hello all, for the past week I have been trying to figure this out. Some time ago I was getting ready to go the store, tried to fire up my jeep - and it cranked but would not start. I got the jeep about 6 months ago from a friend and he worked on it pretty thoroughly before giving it to me. The new parts that were put in right before I got it: new battery, new alternator, new crankshaft position sensor, new throttle position sensor, new idle air control valve, new starter. I'm not exactly mechanically inclined but have been trying to figure this out for like a week straight. At some point the jeep wouldn't even crank, I turned the key and just heard a click. So I decided to switch the fuses in the fuse box just to see if it would crank, I switched the starter fuse and fuel pump fuse and now it's cranking again but still sounds bad. I've also pressed down on the fuel check valve and that is squirting out just fine, if that is relevant. If anybody might have an idea what the issue could be, can you give suggestions? I'm just trying to find out where to start without buying unnecessary parts. Thanks so much! submitted by IWantMyTipsss to CherokeeXJ [link] [comments]
2023.06.08 10:11 watchursix Where to find online owner's manual for older vehicles?
I have recently purchased a 1995 Toyota Granvia that was imported to New Zealand, and I am dying to find an owner's manual. It's an XH-10 HiAce/Regius/Granvia with the 1KZ-TE engine, and I'm beside myself with frustration trying to find a copy. The
Toyota website does not even have HiAce/Regius/Granvia models as an option, nor do they provide manuals that predate 2013. I've tried to find archives of their sites to no avail. Is this a lost cause?
I really need a manual because I've run into a few issues with this aging van:
- I cannot adjust the driver's seat - other owners that I've reached out to have manual controls (like my passenger seat), but there's no such option for my driver's seat. I believe it's an electric system, but I'm clueless and there are no resources available online.
- The electrical system for the curtains is no longer functional on the side windows, and I can't figure out how to unpin the electrical pins - or how to test them... I just don't want to break anything, but I'd love to know which fuse controls these!
- The sunroof opens at high-speeds... there isn't a lock for it, and I'm not sure how to open or close it, but it jumps up a centimeter going 100kph, and makes horrendous wind-noises... thankfully it doesn't leak else I would have it glued down already...
- The roof is leaking - and I really just want to know what's going on behind all the paneling - there's like a 2" gap between the ceiling and roof that has all sorts of tubing running through it - blinker fluid? (lol). I cannot figure it out, it looks like a gutter system for drainage, I can update with pics if anyone cares.
- My rear, center-top brake/stop light is dying, and I'm not sure how to replace these LEDs... I doubt the owner's manual would help, but maybe!
Does anyone know where to find "vintage" owner's manuals? I really just want a circuit guide and a map for the fuse boxe(s)... It's an awesome van, but it's becoming the Mystery Machine.
Thanks to anyone who knows anything!

2023.06.08 08:50 Penstamin Can headlight washers be disabled by pulling a fuse?
I have no use for the headlight washers. When they activate, they spray all over the fender and hood in addition to the headlight. Has anyone found a fuse that controls them? I've looked at Macan fuse diagrams for all three fuse boxes and can't find one for the headlight washers.
Has anyone shut these off?

2023.06.07 19:01 Nathand352 Can a wrong fuse damage my car?
I recently bought a seat Ibiza but the radio doesn’t work, it may just be a fuse so i do not want to waste time and money at a garage if it’s something as simple as that. When I looked in the fuse box the radio fuse is missing so I have got a new fuse but the fuse box doesn’t reflect the diagram in the manual with the car, so I am worried I may put the fuse in the wrong socket. Would this damage the car if I put the fuse in and quickly check if the radio works?

2023.06.07 01:31 AdditionalToday9438 Spine injury - Scoliosis
Hello everyone,
This is my first post here. My injuries occurred in 2011 when I was 24 years old. I didn't have insurance back then and did not get x-rays or an MRI till 2013. Not sure if that made things worse.
My first injury occurred while I was at home working out. I was doing dumbbell kick backs with my right arm. I got stupid and lazy towards my last reps, going out of proper form, then on the last kick back, pop! I fell to the ground in pain. Looking at a back muscle diagram, it feels like I injured my lower right trapezius next to my spine. I waited about 3 months. The day it felt better, I went back to train, stupid, I know. I should have given it more time as the muscle was probably still weak.
Now, the day I went back, I was training in jiu-jitsu class. I got stuck in my "partners" guard in a guillotine choke. I did not tap, I know stupid. I was not expecting my training "partner" to try to rip my head off my neck unexpectedly with sudden full force. There was a loud crack, so loud, everyone stopped training and started asking if I was okay. I left and have been stuck in this useless body ever since. Before this, I was an exceptional athlete. I trained people in kick boxing, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling and was 2-0 in my MMA career.
Since that moment, my life has been lame. My lower cervical and upper thoracic spine are in constant pain and feel out of place. I'm constantly trying to pop my neck and shoulders. Turns out, there is a curve in my spine. I feel this was caused by the injury as my back feels completely different since that moment. I always feel like I'm trying to push it back into place. My right mid/lower trapezius is much larger than the left. It was never like this. I have numbness and tingling down my arms. My left arm feel weaker than it was before the injury.
My MRI revealed 4 bulging disc, degenerative disc disease and arthritis in my spine, sorry if those are the same thing, as well as the x-ray showing the curve. All of this at the age of 24 doesn't seem normal to me. I did physical therapy at three different places for two months each. It was not beneficial at all. The same pain remained. I went to the chiropractor, the first visit, he popped my neck and I was able to twist my head from left to right again without as much pain as before. I stopped going after 8 visits as there was no more progression. 2016 was my last attempt at getting this fixed due to money.
Fast forward to 2023. The pain is the same. I've done a lot of reading in this time. The doctor told me that my scoliosis couldn't have been caused by the trauma from the injury because there would have been broken bones, but everything I've read says otherwise. It's even called, traumatic scoliosis.
Even ChatGPT says it is possible(i know not a doctor, but not a gatekeeper either):
"Injuries to the spine, such as fractures or severe trauma, can disrupt the normal alignment and stability of the vertebrae. If the injury affects the growth plates or the surrounding muscles and ligaments, it may potentially lead to spinal deformities, including scoliosis. However, it's worth mentioning that such cases are relatively rare." - I know it says rare but it is possible, I could be a rare case. As the I did injure my mid/lower trapezius next to my spine before the more severe second injury.
So my questions:
1 - Is it possible that this curve in my spine was caused by my combined injuries? Can this be fixed? 2 - Does anyone know of any spine experts that may have dealt with something like this? I would travel anywhere in the USA if necessary.
3 - The doctor seems to be pushing for cortisone shots after my upcoming MRI, is this a good idea? Does anyone have experience receiving these shots and how much did it help and for how long?
Sorry for the post length, and thank you for any and all replies! Have a great day!!😁 x-ray and MRI photos are below.

2023.06.05 21:22 Material_Ad_7596 Volkswagen CC (no start) Fuse blows right away issue
Guys,
I have 2013 Volkswagen CC Super Sport 2.0T. Recently car started giving issues, I took it to the shop, they replaced spark plugs, coil packs and manifold. Car was running again and one day it just didn't start so I left the car sit for few months.
Now I am back to start it: Replaced the dead battery. Car cranks few second, starts and then within 2 seconds shuts down.
I found that 10A fuse responsible for (Fuel pressure control solenoid / Ignition coils) was blown. I thought I found the issue, but car did the same thing, cranked few seconds, started and died within 2 seconds. I checked fuse box, and the same fuse was blown again. (First time I replaced it while battery was disconnected). So I decided to replace it again and it blew while I was installing it. It sparked in my hand.
Any thought on what's going on?
Thanks in advance!
