My biggest passion in life is probably photography, I love shooting photos. I especially like combining that with good music and a new place to explore! I've been wanting to do a plot where Kaveh doesn't have enough money to pay Alhaitham back and would have to make it up somehow! ( You know where this is going c; ) I prefer Alhaitham being the bottom and Kaveh being the top, but I honestly so not mind as much as I see them both as switches.
That said, I would like it if I were to play the "submissive" of the relationship, otherwise known as the one who takes the d. At first I was determined to play a melee build and side with Mr. House. Everything was goint pretty well. But at some point I met Veronica and decided to do some Brotherhood quests to get T45d for the +2 strength bonus and an ability to wear it. I ended up loving them. They are so cool, strong, and the ending where McNamara comes to his senses and removes lockdown is so adorable. I decided to kill Mr House as he doesn't allow a compomise about the Brotherhood and side with the Legion instead. I hated Caeasar, but thought I could have their safehouse with a campfire next to it and the Lucky sunglasses. But it turned out I had killed some legionaries in the past while helping NCR, so the highest reputation I could reach was *Wild Child*. It seems they only give the key to their safehouse if your reputation is absolutely spotless. I also haven't found an option not to kill my Brotherhood...
Caesar is such an asshole. He kills his own soldiers just to make them fear or something. He tried to kill the second most important person in the Legion just for one defeat. He constantly wants to kill me. If I refuse to destroy the BoS, he gets me killed. If I wake him up when he is sleeping, he get me killed. When I do his stupid quests, he doesn't give me money or loot, doesn't even say thanks, he just spits out his new orders and proceeds to be a mean jerk. He is also way too far from the nearest fast travel point. Playing for the Legion absolutely sucks at everything.
At the moment Mr. House is killed, I am declared a terrorist in the NCR and stuck with the stupid Caesar, who wants my favorite Brotherhood of Steel killed and won't even give me his bloody Lucky Shades.
The only possible solution to this would be the independence, but I see it as a failed ending. It's like an ending for people who failed to meet the requirements for every other ending. Also from the role-playing perspective I think ruling a big city in such tough circumstances would suck.
And above everyhing else I failed my build because I don't have enough special points either for *Unstoppable Force* or for *Slayer* (even with the implants). And I don't want to do my first Lonesome Road playthough with this messed up build (I know it gives a special point at the end).
Do you think I should finish this playthough with either Legion or Yes man, or I should start a new one, this time more thought out?

Short version: I think about death every single second of my life. And I see everything through the lens of the short amount of time that I have here. What should I do?

My problem
I can't get death out of my mind. Every single event in my life is disrupted by that thought. When good things happen in my life—I can barely enjoy it. Sometimes, I would start laughing and being happy, and all of a sudden, something would tell me “WHY BOTHER—YOU KNOW THIS IS NOT GOING TO LAST, RIGHT”. I feel pity for others when I see them fully enjoy a moment. I'm always like, it makes no sense for you to be that happy.
Sometimes, I would think back to people that lived hundreds of years ago. And I'd be like, they were probably living as if life was worth it. Now, they are gone—and nobody cares.
I'd look at my wife sleeping—thinking about how much I love her, and all of a sudden I'm reminded that we will die one day. I'd talk to my mom—and I'm sad hearing her laughing because I know she will be gone one day. I'm starting to shut people out of my life, so I don't have to endure the pain of possibly losing them.
The thought hasn't paralyzed me totally because I wake up every day and do the things that I love. I feel like I'm the only person in the world like this. I don't think I'm depressed—since I have a perfectly good explanation for thinking this way. But this is eating me alive.
I only work on personal projects now. I don't work for people because I feel like working for someone and having them dictate my day is like “prostituting” my life. I've come to the realization that people don't have time. Life IS time, and selling my time is the same as selling my life.
Weird benefits of this “condition”
I care—but not as much as I used to. I used to be a people-pleaser. Not so much anymore! I left my last job—because I had a rude boss. I thought to myself, “You're just as mortal as I am”. Why would I have to kiss your butt?
I make the most out of my day. And I cherish my time very much—just because I have that clock ticking in my head.
There's a level of despair I can't reach—because I know if things get REALLY bad, death is always there—and it's the worst that could ever happen.

Two weeks ago, I decided we’re done with the 3-4 overnight breastfeeds and I used Ferber for sleep training. Now, babies settle themselves to sleep, and settle themselves when they wake in the night. BUT my issue is that my little girl will wake every 1-2 hours and whine for about 10min (sometimes up to 20min) before settling back to sleep. Great that I don’t have to feed her… less great that my room is next to theirs and it wakes me all night 🫠
What am I doing wrong? Why is she waking and whining so much through the night. My boy is quiet all night and sleeps right through.

On June 12th - 14th (48 hours) many subreddits will be going dark in protest of a recent Reddit policy change. I am making this poll to ask the users of ArtistLounge and ArtBusiness if you would like our subreddits to join in with this protest.
Outside of the art subreddits, we usually feel quite separate from wider Reddit. This is due to our aim to be a chill arty discussion corner of the internet. However, due to the impact that this policy change will have, I thought it important to decide as a community how we will be involved.

The context

Reddit's policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, and potentially other important third-party tools. These tools include important quality of life features which simply aren't available in the official mobile app.
On May 31st 2023, Reddit announced that they will be raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that is inaccessible to the third party App developers. Some additional third party tools, although not immediately directly impacted, will likely face difficulties in the future. An example of one of these tools could be toolbox , which many moderators rely on to support their communities.
For many users this will mean that they will no longer use reddit on mobile, and in turn not have access to reddit at all.
For moderators, it will make our lives so much more difficult or, in some cases, impossible. At best, this would lower the accessibility, quality and consistancy of moderation, and at worst it would leave many subreddits with little to no moderation at all.
It will also greatly impact users who require additional functionality and accessibility tools such as screen readers.

How does this impact our subreddits?

Moderating reddit on mobile is stressful. There have been some recent improvements with the official app, but there is so much that is inaccessible or invisible on the mobile app that it is impossible to moderate consistantly. Messages are missed, mod mail is hidden away, and inconsistencies with rules occur from content on mobile looking completely different to desktop.
I complete the majority of my moderation on PC for this reason and when inviting new moderators to join the team one of the first questions I ask is whether they are mainly using a PC or mobile device. This way I know how much they will be able to support the team.
Recently, I have been dealing with a lot of health issues and I was unable to work at my PC. Initially, trying to moderate on mobile was okay in small bursts, but it quickly became overwhelming. The rest of the moderation team were able to do a fantastic job in my stead, but it really hit me how difficult it is to excursively use the official Reddit app. Following some recommendations , and after seeing this protest announcement, I downloaded some alternative apps to see the difference for myself. It is night and day. I can look at my mod feed on the official app and compare it with the same mod feed on a third party app and the difference in information is stark. Messages and reports that aren't even visible on the official app show up clearly on the third party one. Messages are written in full, so I don't have to load multiple screens to find out what help someone needs. Messages are colour coded so I can tell if they are from our automoderator or directly from users. That's before even taking a deep dive into the apps. I had no idea how much simpler it is to moderate with these alternative apps and now it is so clear to me why so many moderators, including the majority of our mod team past and present, have relied on them.
Having access to easier moderation tools on mobile means we can provide much better support on a far more consistent basis. It also hopefully means that we will be able to unlock time and energy to do more interesting things with the subreddits that you have all asked for. The removal of these apps would directly affect members of our moderation team and severely limit how much they would be able to continue supporting the subreddits.

What will happen?

• I intend to make next week's weekly thread (uploading before the protest) an informational post about the protest, it's impact, and how users can share their support. This will match the standard posts being shared site-wide.
• If the majority vote in support of our subreddit going dark, then we will make both subreddits private for 48 hours during the planned blackout.
• There is discussion that subreddits may extend how long their subreddits remain dark if issues are not resolved in this time. There are no current plans for ArtistLounge and ArtBusiness to extend the time past the 48 hours.
• If the majority vote to not join the protest by going dark, then the subreddits will remain live. The pinned post will contain information on what is happening, why it is happening, and how to support the cause.
