I really enjoyed the game and this isn’t to blast it in any way but up until San Bakar revealed he killed Isadora, I really thought she was going to be revealed as the secret big bad and I kinda wish she had been.
I thought given how we’ve been trying and failing to heal Anne throughout the game, the idea of having a power to take away pain should be really tempting for the MC - it’s the perfect solution to helping Sebastian and Anne.
We’ve dabbled with trying to use dark magic to save her and seen the consequences of doing so. Do we follow in Isadora’s footsteps and try to harness this dark magic for good, or do we learn from Sebastian’s mistakes and learn to let go.
Given how HP always emphasised the similarities between Harry and Voldemort, and how the only difference between them came down to how Harry chose to act differently to Voldemort - I really thought the game was going to play more on the similar goals and opportunities that we have in common with Isadora. But I feel like we don’t really explore that dynamic.
I’m also a bit meh about Ranrok. I don’t understand him. Sure, he acts like a dick but what does he want? He feels that Goblins should have the repository because they built it (valid argument imo) and he dislikes wizards (also valid given Goblin’s mistreatment).
We don’t get any sense he wants to subjugate wizard kind but he talks a lot about how wizards ban goblins from using wands and we witness far more anti-Goblin rhetoric than anti-wizard sentiment from the goblins. I can’t help but feel we’re on the wrong side of history in this fight.

Used to work for oil change company & I asked a fellow employee of 3yrs what's with the washer and coolant? His reply was the coolant is just some green additive that can be mixed in with pre existing coolant and the washer fluid could be water or windex or both. So after learning that and finding out we charge for brake and power steering fluid I decided I'd do my own oil changes for 25$ but the thing is people rather be cheap and spend 71$ on a bogus company oil change rather than paying me 25$ for the job + the 50$ or 60$ for the kit & then I even save you 30 to 60 minutes of waiting I can do it in 10 minutes if that with the light inspection

Sharp communication, buoyed by solid ideas and eloquent speech, can prove as mighty as a physical sword or any kind of modern weapon. It carries the potential for both diplomacy and conflict, but on a grander scale - from the individual to international relations. This extends beyond mere rhetoric to encompass morality, conflict resolution, and problem-solving. Logical reasoning, much like a well-forged sword, penetrates the heart of issues, allowing us to dissect complexities, cut through the noise of information, and seek out solutions, no matter how daunting or subtle they might be.
The Suit of Swords often receives its ill-repute because the very energy of logic and problem-solving is almost "programmed" to view situations as problems to be solved. A sharp intellect and incisive reasoning can also cause distress if not managed wisely. This often gives the suit of Swords its negative reputation.
Consider the Queen of Swords, for instance. Not inherently harsh or cruel, she employs critical thinking as a gardener uses a pruning knife - both are necessary for healthy growth. As a queen, skilled in management and governance, she reminds us that logic, diplomacy and critical thinking can, when used judiciously, cultivate a kingdom where understanding and wisdom flourish.
So, when you draw a card from the Suit of Swords, embrace its inherent logic, critical thinking, and clear communication. It may appear daunting, but it provides valuable guidance to navigate life's complexities with discernment and wisdom. It encourages us to unsheath our mental swords, engage our intellects, and tackle the problems life presents us, with diplomacy, if possible, and conflict, if necessary.

What if Muggles, in the year 2100, developed a technological version of a wand that can manipulate the world similar to a wizard wand?
How would the wizards react to this invention?
And how would a fight between a wizard with a wand and a Muggle with a tech wand look like?
Here are some details about the tech wand:

• The tech wand is a metal stick that has the pattern of a motherboard etched on the outside. It pulses and ebbs when held.
  
• The tech wand contains an AI that deciphers the signals in the user's brain and causes the quantum effects to change the world. The user does not need any knowledge or skill, only intention and imagination.
  
• The tech wand can perform various effects, such as levitation, teleportation, creation, destruction, solidification, transformation, etc. The power and effects are somewhat predetermined but can range depending on the user's will and the wand's capacity.
  
• The tech wand does not change its appearance or function, only the world around it. It also does not require any words or gestures, only thoughts and waves.
  
• The tech wand requires a source of electricity to operate, which can run out or be disrupted by external factors.

My deck has two coats of different colors of what is now peeling and chipping paint leftover from the previous owners. I sanded the tops of the boards with an angle grinder but I'm at a loss for how to get between the boards.
Ive tried a pressure washer and while it has enough power to wreck the boards if I hold it too close it barely touches the paint.
What's my next best options here?

I bought a used Dyson V8 and it did not include the wand and powerhead attachment for floors.
It appears I can buy a wand on Amazon for $20 and a non powered floor attachment for $18 vs an off brand powerhead for $33. What would you suggest?
Do the off-brand powerheads on Amazon for $30-35 work okay?

Hello, IMAM! Today I am reviewing fragrances purchased from Area of Effect and Possets. All are oil-based.
I haven’t included like & dislikes before in reviews, but I think I should start now, as it provides some context for how I approach scents.
Likes:

• Black licorice / aniseed
  
• Artemisia / wormwood, fennel, mint & associated “cool” herbs
  
• Citrus (including neroli)
  
• Most fruits (excluding those listed in dislikes), especially tropical ones and raspberries
  
• Cardamom
  
• Cinnamon & nutmeg
  
• Most woods & resins (excluding those listed in dislikes)
  
• “Green” profiles
  
• Rosemary, thyme & similar herbs (excluding those listed in dislikes)
  
• Most nuts (excluding those listed in dislikes)
  
• Coffee
  
• Marshmallow!
  

Patchouli is also a “like,” but my skin can amplify it to a ludicrous degree so I have to be careful.
Dislikes:

• Sandalwood (migraine trigger)
  
• Birch bark & leather / birch tar (allergic)

• Almond (includes most cherry accords)
  
• Honey
  
• Aldehydes (includes apples)

It is possible that benzoin might be another dislike, but I have to experiment more before I make a decision. And I try to be careful with musk, as some varieties can induce headaches.
While I chose the fragrances all based on notes, I make a point of not double-checking when I test, going in as blindly as possible. Now, on to the reviews!
Possets
“Priya” – lemon, cardamom, and vanilla
Prior to testing, I opened the FS bottle and then open for a few hours, in a method I’d read about on here for “accelerated aging.” In the past I’ve found that this helps to deepen a fragrance in a positive way. (The only bottles I can’t do this with are skinny wand vials – they’ll fall over.) This method even improved the sniff test! While initially it had smelled like a very clean lemon (perhaps too clean), afterward some tasteful hints of sugar came through.
When testing “Priya” on the skin, I was met with a true lemon sugar accord. In fact… I was reminded of pancakes. Or, at least, how pancakes are apparently served in Great Britain. For context: when I first heard of the 4160 Tuesdays perfume “Sunshine & Pancakes,” I was terribly confused by the notes list: lemon, orange, honey… no cake / pastry note, no maple syrup, what the heck was this? Then I learned that across the pond they’re often served with drizzled honey or sugar, and lemon squeezed on top. Anyway, the opening of “Priya” smells like what I imagine British pancakes to be.
With such a promising opening, I wish I could say that the sweetness deepened into something spicier / woodier, or even just carried through to the end. However, the lemon – which is a powerful lemon to hang on for so long – eventually became purer, and purer, until it started reminding me of household cleaner. Altogether, I think what ended up on my arm would make a heavenly room scent; but it’s not something I want on my skin.
Given that “Priya” is tied to a worthwhile charitable cause via Possets, I won’t destash the full bottle as-is. Instead, I’m going to decant it so people can sample it first (since samples of this aren’t sold separately), and if they like it then they can purchase the FS from Possets.
Rating: 3/5 – lemony fresh
“Pippin Pie” – The juiciest and most tart apples, the flakiest and most buttery pastry, heaps and heaps of sugar and a kiss of spice.
This was a surprise free sample in my order, and I went into this with some trepidation as apples and my skin don’t get along.
My first impression was that this was very savory. Like, Fyrinnae being weird kind of savory (think “Artisan Bakery”). Out of the bottle, those first sniffs gave me some pause! On the skin, though… that first half hour was the most delicious pie crust imaginable. I don’t normally go for scents that are that gourmand (usually too much for my nose), but this was where pies go to die. This was the Double-R in “Twin Peaks.”
After half an hour, though, it faded… and faded… until there was something so faint on my arm I could hardly tell if it genuinely approached apples or if it was just softly soapy. Two hours, and the scent was genuinely gone. I tested on each arm, separately, and confirmed this. My skin ate “Pippin Pie” up, sadly.
Rating: 3/5 – the pie did, in fact, die
“Bear Lake Shake-Utah” – a raspberry milkshake made with berries picked that day… amid the scent of the summer sun hitting the mountain lake, crystalline air, the milky raspberry shakes cooled and comforted them
I was so looking forward to this milkshake. Alas, this has made me discover I’m not much of a fan of lactonic notes. It’s hard for me to articulate how they’re separate from vanilla or coumarin, but “milk” is definitely different in perfume, and I don’t think I like it. In fact, I would go so far as to guess that it was lactonic notes I disliked in previous banana-oriented fragrances I tried, and not banana itself. I may need to try banana again.
The raspberry, as well, was not what I was looking for. Now, my favorite incarnation of raspberry in perfume so far is from a niche house: Svensk Parfym, “Virke” (means “timber” in Swedish). It smells like raspberries growing wild in the Swedish taiga, and it’s one of few EdPs I’d consider repurchasing, if I can’t find an indie raspberry to which I can declare loyalty. So far, my favorite indie has been Stone & Wit “Cipher,” which is a fresh, juicy, and not at all candied raspberry.
The raspberry here, however, is much more like a lollipop or Jolly Rancher than the fruit itself, which was disappointing.
Rating: 2/5 – not my kind of milkshake, I guess
Area of Effect
“Isabelle” – peach, black pepper, fresh cut grass, soft vanilla, dry wood, cedar
While I did not double-check the notes before testing, I recall that I’d purchased “Intelligence” and “Isabelle” together for comparison purposes as peach scents, since I was still on a quest to find my perfect peach.
After resting, “Isabelle” no longer smelled super traditional out of the vial, and I actually caught whiffs of peach. When I tested I smelled something cool and green under everything else, and I’m starting to think that is, in fact, Area of Effect’s base. (Yes, I know this has a “fresh cut grass” note, but I’ve smelled this nuance in other AoE scents I’ve tried.) The opening of this is an under-ripe peach, in fact, still on the branch. Eventually, this does get more “picnic grounds” than “picnic meal,” and isn’t very sweet.
For someone who enjoys softer scents, and wants something feminine that isn’t off-the-wall but also not super traditional / vintage, “Isabelle” could be a wonderful everyday / work scent. Sadly, it’s not what I’m looking for.
Rating: 3/5 – peach needs longer to ripen
“Intelligence” – peony, peach, coconut, olive leaf, cotton candy, vanilla bean
Of course, I tested “Intelligence” right after “Isabelle” so the comparison would be fresh in my mind. I must say, I was surprised at how strong the peach note was in this one, since my first impression had hinted it would be of the softer variety. Now, the peach wasn’t necessarily as juicy as I wanted (I’m starting to wonder if what I want is even possible in a perfume: a juicy, realistic, not-too-sweet peach that doesn’t fade right away), but here was a peach note that was sticking around! And the way it settled wasn’t too heavily gourmand, either: peach still wafted up from my arm, but sniffing closer to my skin I found a lovely coconut with just a sprinkling of tiaré petals (not full-on monoi oil).
Looking at the notes, I’m curious about what I don’t get on my skin. I didn’t smell peony at all, nor cotton candy; and what little vanilla was there, was quiet. (I think the olive leaf was what I mistook for tiaré.) This wasn’t nearly as sweet on my skin as what the notes list would suggest, and I’m actually grateful.
I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that I enjoyed “Intelligence” so much, as that’s usually my highest DnD stat (magic-user). 😊
Rating: 4.5/5 – For the time being, I really think that I’ve found my peach scent!
“K.K. Slider” – coconut cream, rum, pineapple, chai spice, nutmeg, graham cracker
After “Pippin Pie,” I tested this one, hoping to get a better result from what I remembered as “key lime pie, but with pineapple.” Out of the vial I’d gotten no fruit, but I hoped this would change on my skin.
I was wrong. I was very, very wrong. The sweet crust evolved into a full-on icing accord that overwhelmed my nose, to the point where I had to scrub. There was no pineapple. ☹
Rating: 0/5 – definitely try this if you like icing
“Killer Tomatoes” – tomato leaf, sun-dried tomato, dirt, fig, patchouli
All right, I’d had several noes in a row and really wanted a yes. I needed a great green perfume. Funnily enough, in my curiosity regarding AoE’s sun-dried tomato note I’d previously tried “Garden Warfare,” but gotten mostly dirt from that one. In a review I posted to IMAM, the actual perfumer behind AoE commented that “Killer Tomatoes” was what I really wanted. It’s late, but I did eventually try it!
And it’s what I wanted. As far as green profiles go, it’s in a similar vein to Morari “Tomato Vine” – but whereas that is pure green leaves and almost spa-like in its Zen, “Killer Tomatoes” has a tanginess that really does evoke tomato flesh (particularly of the sun-dried variety). I don’t know how AoE did this (most “tomato” notes in perfumery refer to the leaves & vine), but they did it. And I love it!
Rating: 5/5 – I found my tomato!
“Viva Piñata” – guava, hibiscus, hot spice, mango, coconut, beach, cola, sandalwood
This was the last one I tested, and one I’d remembered really being hyped about. It’s also the one I can smell the least out of the vial – remarkably subtle. On skin, a sort of candied / dried mango accord started to form, and I got excited! It didn’t stay sweet, though – or project very much. Eventually it became mainly a soft musk, which really isn’t my thing.
Color me shocked, though, when I got the notes list for this review and saw sandalwood. If I’d remembered sandalwood was in this, I wouldn’t have purchased it. Luckily, this didn’t cause a migraine, but that “soft musk” I picked up I’m not guessing was sandalwood combined with whatever makes the “beach” note (sand, waves, etc.). I wish the fruits had stuck around, and that I’d gotten the hot (presumably chili) spice.
Rating: 2/5 – out with a whimper
This was… kind of a disappointing haul, if I’m being honest. Outside of the FS I’d purchased from Possets of “Dance with Me,” which I already love, I’m only keeping two of my samples and destashing everything else. I’ve put myself on no-buy now, until I sell my destashes and use up more of what I already have.

Fritz was in a room, his eyes closed. His sunburn skin had healed, and he had a new Ironblood officer’s uniform on him.
However, he was comatose.
A combination of sodium poisoning, sun exposure, dehydration, and starvation all worked together to place him in a coma. A pink-sliver-haired woman was hard at work looking over him.
“Vestal! You’re needed at the meeting!”
Vestal stopped tending to Fritz. She looked at him and sighed as she wrote on a piece of paper.
“Subject is stable. However, it is unknown if the subject will ever regain consciousness.”
Vestal nodded and made her way to the meeting. She saw Prince of Wales, Queen Elizabeth, and Warspite. Prince of Wales smiled.
“I suppose we shall start this meeting.”
The other shipgirls nodded. Queen Elizabeth and Prince of Wales looked at the papers they had in front of them. Warspite smiled.
“First, how are our guests?”
Prince of Wales sighed.
“The pilot has so far been a bust. We are thinking of sending him to a regular Prisoner of War camp. The submariner has so far been in a coma. We believe he has a substantial amount of information about the internal workings of the Ironblood.”
Queen Elizabeth nodded.
“You said King George V found two folders on the two men when she found them on the raft?”
Prince of Wales nodded.
“Indeed. My sister found two folders. One on each man. We now have confirmation of the Ironblood and the Sakura Empire conducting joint operations in both the Indian and Pacific Oceans.”
“Are they a threat to us?”
Prince of Wales shook her head.
“No. The Monsun Gruppe, as they are called, have been suffering heavy casualties from the sirens.”
Queen Elizabeth smiled.
"How are you holding up, Wales?"
Prince of Wales smiled as she rubbed her belly. Her pregnancy was showing under her shirt.
"I've been doing well. Vestal told me I am currently five months pregnant, and Caleb and I's child will be a boy."
Queen Elizabeth closed her eyes as she smiled and giggled.
"That is good to hear. I made sure to place you here as soon as you found out you were expecting.
Prince of Wales sighed.
"It's certainly safer than combat duty, but it does get boring around here.
Queen Elizabeth nodded.
"Understood. I'll be sure to find this place more entertainment."
Queen Elizabeth looked at Vestal with a serious look on her face.
“How about the submariner, Vestal? Any updates on him?”
Vestal sighed. “Your majesty, you can call him by his name. He is not a cursed idol.”
Queen Elizabeth rolled her eyes.
“Alright. How is Fritz doing?”
Vestal closed her eyes.
“He is stable, but he is still not yet out of the coma. I do not know when he will wake.”
“You all remember the cover story, correct?”
Warspite nodded.
“Yes. This place is the manor of a wealthy industrialist. Fritz ended up here as the Ironblood pulled some strings and placed him here rather than in a Prisoner of War Camp.”
Prince of Wales nodded.
“That is an excellent cover, but I doubt he will believe it for long.”
Queen Elizabeth closed her eyes and nodded.
“What should we do if the cover story fails?”
Prince of Wales chuckled.
“Then we reveal the ace in the hole and tell him the truth, along with our plans for him.”
Queen Elizabeth nodded. She turned her head to the man in the room.
“Petty Officer Stevenson, your thoughts?”
The Petty Officer looked at the table and sighed.
"Your majesty. You can just call me Petty Officer."
Queen Elizabeth nodded.
"Very well. What are your thoughts on this, Petty Officer?"
The Petty Officer sighed as he closed his eyes. “This feels wrong.”
King George V and Ark Royal joined the meeting. Ark Royal waved at Prince of Wales and Queen Elizabeth and smiled at them.
“Sorry if we're late.”
Queen Elizabeth nodded. “You are not. I’ll catch you guys up to speed.”
After updating King George V and Ark Royal, they continued the meeting.
“I know what we are asking of Fritz is a long shot, but it is the only shot we have.”
The Petty Officer nodded. “Well, that just about finishes this meeting. I’ll be in the garden with Belfast.”
Queen Elizabeth nodded, and the group left. Vestal walked to the room Fritz was staying in. He was out cold. She smiled slightly.
“Come on, Let’s get you some sun. It will be good for you.”
She lifted him and placed him in a wheelchair. She pushed him to the garden.
The warm sun hit Fritz’s skin. He was still in his Ironblood U-boat captain's uniform. The trimmed brown hair under his white U-boat captain’s hat shined slightly. She pushed him around, with hedges providing a bit of shade. Belfast was there with the Petty Officer.
Vestal pushed Fritz up to the table. Belfast smiled at her.
“Good afternoon Vestal. I see you brought Fritz with you.”
She served the Petty Officer some tea. The hot brown liquid filled the white teacup.
Vestal sat down in a chair next to Fritz. Belfast smiled at her.
“Would you like some tea, Dr. Vestal?”
Vestal smiled. “Sure.”
Belfast nodded as she served Vestal some tea. She poured it into a teacup for her.
“Thank you, Belfast.”
Belfast nodded as Vestal drank her tea. When she saw what she saw next, she nearly spat out her tea.
It was Fritz. His eyes were wide open. Vestal gulped her tea and sprang into action.
“Mr. Decke, can you hear me? Blink one for yes, twice for no.”
Fritz blinked once. Vestal smiled.
“Good. At least you still have your sense of hearing. I take it you are awake?”
Fritz tried to speak, but all he could do was open his mouth. Vestal sighed.
“Take it easy. You are safe. Your vocal cords still need time to recover from your coma.”
Fritz sighed. He couldn’t move his arms. He was having trouble even moving his head.
“You want to go back inside?”
Fritz blinked once and tried to nod.
Vestal nodded and pushed Fritz back into his room. She smiled as she placed him on his bed.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be right back.”
Fritz watched as she ran down the hall. Vestal made her way to Prince of Wales’s office. She was busy going through paperwork. Vestal greeted her with a smile.
“Wales, it’s Fritz. He’s awake.”
Prince of Wales smiled. “Good. Is he responding to questions?”
Vestal nodded. “Yes. So far, his vocal cords are not active. However, he is responding to both questions and stimuli. He can respond to yes or no questions by blinking.”
Prince of Wales nodded. “Excellent! Once he regains the ability to speak, we can start our plan for him.”
A week later, Fritz was in his hospital bed. Vestal was looking over him, moving his arms and legs. Fritz grimaced as Vestal sighed.
“I know it hurts, but the more I do this, the sooner you’ll be able to walk.”
Vestal stopped moving his arms and legs and grabbed a pen. She wrote on a piece of paper.
“Fritz has already regained the power to move his arms and upper body, but his legs and lower body are still inactive.”
Vestal was about to leave when she heard a weak voice talk to her.
“Hey. Can you help me shave?”
Vestal turned around.
“Fritz, was that you?”
Fritz nodded. Vestal smiled.
“Of course!”
Vestal left the room, and Fritz sat up in his bed. He lifted his legs, one after the other, and propped himself up using the bed.
“Only one way to get moving.” He thought to himself.
He fell to the floor with a thud. He sighed.
“Of course. I still can’t walk.” he thought to himself.
Fritz rolled over on his back with some effort and looked around. He saw a wheelchair and dragged himself toward it. He dragged himself into the wheelchair.
Vestal came back with a bowl of hot water, a razor, and some shaving cream. She gasped.
“How are you in the wheelchair already?”
Fritz smirked. “I dragged myself to it.”
Vestal smiled at Fritz. “You ready to get started?”
Fritz nodded.
Vestal shaved Fritz’s beard. He smiled.
“Thank you. I was getting sick and tired of the beard around my face.”
Vestal nodded. “Mr. Decke, you want to go outside?”
Fritz nodded. “I can move the wheelchair by myself.”
The two made it to the garden. Belfast was there, along with Prince of Wales and the Petty Officer.
Fritz looked at the uniforms, and his eyes went wide. Prince of Wales’s eyes went wide as Fritz stared at her.
“Belfast, Vestal, Petty Officer, May you all please leave? Mr. Decke and I have something to discuss.”
The three nodded and left, leaving only Fritz and Prince of Wales.
“I suppose you have caught on to the fact that you are a prisoner of war of the Royal Navy?”
Fritz nodded.
“I had a feeling I was. I can tell by the accents and the uniforms.”
Fritz cleared his throat.
“Where is Werner? He was the man I was with.”
Prince of Wales smiled.
“Don’t worry. He is alright. He is currently in a Prisoner of War camp in Royal Navy territory.”
Fritz breathed a sigh of relief.
“How did you guys find me?”
“We found both you and Werner floating on a wooden pallet. Both of you were near death when my sister and Javelin found you.”
Prince of Wales’s smile faded as she sat in a chair.
“I have a proposition for you, Mr. Decke. I want you to help the Royal Navy.”
Fritz scoffed. “Forget it. I am not betraying the Ironblood.”
Prince of Wales got up and got behind Fritz. She pushed the wheelchair inside the manor.
“I figured you would say that. That’s why we got some leverage.”
Fritz raised an eyebrow.
“Where are you taking me?”
“To the medical wing. You’ll see why soon.”
Prince of Wales opened a door and pushed Fritz through. What he saw shook him to his core.
It was Tirpitz. She was asleep in a hospital bed. Her middle was larger and rounder.
“Why is Tirpitz doing here? What are you doing to her?”
Prince of Wales smirked. “Relax Fritz. You don’t want to wake up your wife now, do you?”
Fritz sighed. Prince of Wales closed her eyes.
“Now, do you want to hear an explanation for everything?”
Fritz sighed. “Alright. Lay it on me.”
Prince of Wales nodded.
“We found Tirpitz in the North Sea. From what our spies gathered, she violated direct orders from Bismarck to not engage in combat duties to fight the sirens. We found her unconscious, and we brought her here.”
“Is she alright? Is the baby alright?”
Prince of Wales placed her hand on Fritz’s shoulder.
“Yes. Tirpitz and the baby are alright. She is due for an appointment with Vestal today, which is why I bought you here. She is currently six months pregnant.”
Fritz’s eyes went wide.
“I have been out for two months?”
Prince of Wales nodded. “Yes. It is August. You were out for two months. We found Tirpitz two months ago, and we have been moving her from place to place to make it hard for the Ironblood to take her back.”
Fritz and Prince of Wales froze as Tirpitz moaned as she rubbed her belly. Prince of Wales looked at Fritz.
“Mr. Decke, I want you to go back to the Ironblood with Tirpitz and try to convince Bismarck to sign a peace treaty with Azur Lane, to join us in the war against the sirens.”
Fritz sighed. “That sounds like a risky proposition.”
Prince of Wales left the room, and Vestal came in with an ultrasound machine. Tirpitz opened her eyes to see her husband. Her eyes went wide.
“Fritz?”
Fritz smiled and held her hand.
“Yes. It's me.”
Tirpitz felt tears go down her face as she embraced her husband. Fritz smiled.
“Relax. Vestal is here to check on the baby.”
Tirpitz nodded as Vestal turned on the ultrasound.
“I’m warning you now, Mrs. Decke, the gel is cold.”
Tirpitz chuckled.
“Don’t worry. I’m used to the cold.”
Vestal applied the gel. Tirpitz shivered as Vestal applied the gel.
Vestal moved the wand of the ultrasound on Tirpitz’s belly.
“Alright Mrs. Decke, we are going to find out if you are having a boy or a girl. I just have to get a good view of the baby.”
Vestal moved the wand as she sighed. “So far nothing.”
The screen of the ultrasound machine suddenly had a good view of the baby’s bottom.
Vestal and Tirpitz’s eyes went wide as they blushed. Fritz laughed. They could see a small thing dangling under the baby’s bottom. Vestal’s eyes went wide as she giggled.
“Well, it appears you are having a son, Mr. and Mrs. Decke.”
Fritz chuckled.
“That’s my boy. Mein kleiner Moritz.”
Fritz continued to laugh. Tirpitz smiled.
“I can’t wait to meet you, Moritz.”
Vestal continued the ultrasound. She smiled after she was done.
“Well, Mr. and Mrs. Decke, Congratulations. You have a healthy baby boy that is due in early January.”
Fritz and Tirpitz smiled as they looked at each other. Vestal pressed a button and printed out some photos for Fritz and Tirpitz to have.
Vestal cleaned up Tirpitz’s belly and left the small room. Prince of Wales reentered the room.
“I heard the good news from Vestal. Congratulations Tirpitz.”
Tirpitz smiled. “Where would I be staying?”
Prince of Wales smiled. “You will stay in Fritz’s room. It’s only natural for a husband and wife to sleep together.”
Tirpitz nodded as she got out of bed. She and her husband made their way to their room.
Tirpitz helped Fritz to bed as he lay down next to her. Fritz placed a hand on Tirpitz’s belly, feeling Moritz kick against his palm.
“It’s hard to believe that in a few months, we are going to be parents.”
Tirpitz smiled.
“Fritz. I have to tell you something important.”
Fritz nodded. “Go ahead.”
“When I received news that you were killed in action, I could not believe it. I was a wreck. Despite my sister’s warnings, I went on a combat mission. came across a couple of sirens, and they were having a meeting.”
Tirpitz froze as she sighed.
“I saw Friedrich Der Große with them. Before I could investigate further, they spotted me and knocked me out. Duke of York and Hood found me. They brought me here a week ago.”
Fritz’s eyes went wide.
“Friedrich Der Große? What would she be doing with the sirens?”
Tirpitz sighed. “I don’t know. The only thing I care about now is making sure you and Moritz are safe.”
Fritz took his hand off Tirpitz’s belly.
“The Royal Navy wants me to go back to the Ironblood with you to talk to Bismarck. The Royal Navy wants to see if she will sign a peace treaty to join Azur Lane.”
Tirpitz nodded. “I figured. I’m guessing you refused, as you did not want to betray the Ironblood?”
Fritz nodded.
“Fritz. I want you to help the Royal Navy.”
Fritz’s eyes went wide.
“Why?! Isn’t that treason against the Ironblood?!”
Tirpitz sighed.
“I want the Ironblood to join Azur Lane. I want my sister to be safe. Most of all, I want a world safe for Moritz to grow up in.”
Fritz sighed as he sat on the bed. “You’re right. I don’t want Moritz to be born in a world where he has to live in fear of the sirens.”
Tirpitz nodded as she sighed. She sat next to him and rubbed her belly.
“My sister Bismarck has not been herself in a few months. From the letters she's been sending me, she’s been acting strange. She’s been vomiting after eating very little, she’s been suffering mood swings, and it has been worrying me.”
Fritz placed a hand on Tirpitz’s shoulder.
“Don’t worry. I’m sure your sister is fine. We should get some sleep.”
Tirpitz yawned and nodded. Soon, the couple was asleep.
Elsewhere in the manor, two women were wearing headphones and smiling.
“Did you get that Yorkie?”
“Loud and clear Sheffie.”
Sheffield smiled. “You were right about one thing.”
Duke of York raised an eyebrow. “What?”
Sheffield smirked. “Bugging the rooms was a great idea.”
Duke of York smirked. “I don’t think they suspect their rooms being bugged.”
Sheffield nodded as she smirked back. “Let’s make sure we keep it this way.”
Duke of York took off her headphones and opened the door.
“I’ll be telling Prince of Wales and Queen Elizabeth the information we received. Please let me know if you hear anything else.”
Sheffield nodded and continued to work.

I've noticed that in almost every fanfic featuring ancient spells, they are always described as the most powerful and potent, often not even requiring a wand. At first, I didn't pay much attention to it and silently agreed with the notion, but as it kept recurring, it started to annoy me. In general, I've noticed that the trend of "the older, the stronger" applies to almost all fantasy worlds.
My main question is: where did this idea come from that ancient spells should be stronger than newer spells? Logically, it should be the opposite, otherwise, the previous spells would simply not have been forgotten.
