Hello! I'm looking for some people to play games and hang out with. Now I play an assortment of games but ill get to that in a minute.First I would prefer if you were around my age 16-19 and he timezone/region can be whatever because my sleep schedule is wack when I don't work. I'm also looking for people who are willing to message each other. I also would prefer if you had a mic because it makes communicating a lot easier.
Now on about myself, I enjoy lots of anime and have seen enough to where I can have long conversations (a little too much lol). I've seen A LOT of it so I would be down to watch or even rewatch some. I like a lot of genres of games such as Fps, survival, space,rogue-like, automation etc. I'm a night owl when I don't work so ill be on almost the whole day. I also can have a dark sense of humour at times and don't mind if you have one as well.

Hi y’all,
I’m looking for a very basic laptop. My budget is very tight right now, but my current computer is at the point of nearly unusable and I need something quickly. Just something that I can use to edit docs while having multiple Chrome tabs, Spotify, Discord, and possibly Scrivener open, as well as watching videos on YouTube, Netflix, Twitch, etc.
I would also like to be able to run Audacity, but it doesn’t need to be able to do so perfectly, or even particularly well; just function without catching on fire.
Handling basic digital art would be ideal but not necessary. It would also be great if it could play some games (Disco Elysium, Rocksmith 2016, Terraria), but again, not super necessary.
Mostly I just need something cheap with a keyboard that I can drag around and do basic work on. Needs to be Windows, not a Chromebook.

Again, doesn’t need to be great or even good. At the end of the day, just needs to run Windows and a couple basic programs without massive amounts of lag and be as cheap as humanly possible.

Last time I did a proper playthrough of Terraria was about 6 to 8 months ago and back then pretty much regardless of what category of equipment I searched I was able to get a nice complete well laid out list on either the main Wiki or the fandom Wiki, now when I search for some categories of accessories a list simply does not exist apart from the list of every accessory on both sites, or when I search for summoner weapons I get one list that includes sentries, summons and whips in one list which makes it hard to compare two different whips together, or just in general providing less information than what I remember from 6 to 8 months ago.
And this is a general trend that I have noticed with wikis for all games across the board, the main Wiki and the fandom Wiki are just being less and less helpful to the point where I don't even know the best way to get information on a game anymore.
Does anyone have another method that is not spending literal hours watching YouTube videos trying to get the information I seek

Not sure how to start this but here goes. I have a passion for game dev, I want to make a 2D game similar to Stardew, Terraria, etc. (obviously not that complex but hopefully you get the idea). But I am really having troubles. I'm trying to apply things I have written down but nothing is coming to mind. My mind is just blanking. Whenever I think of something to add to my prototype nothing comes up. Maybe I should learn C# outside of game dev then continue? Maybe I should switch to a different engine? I have been working on game dev for around 2-3 months, but I don't want to switch to a different engine because Unity is flexible, and is much better in the long term. It's all pretty overwhelming and I'm feeling pretty discouraged. Anytime I watch a YouTuber do a game jam they just get it, and they don't always use Unity (which is why I am considering switching). It's just all conflicting. I have decent experience in coding, I know JavaScript, I am familiar with key concepts, some more basic stuff. Any tips would work. Tutorials, tips, suggestions, really anything.

My PC is very old, and it can take up to 10 minutes at times to load a game. Terraria has a load screen that you can watch as it tells you what aspects of the map are being generated. To me, that is entertaining and makes the wait time so much easier. I would love to see something similar in the next game. What are your thoughts?

There is literally not enough time to play all I have planned and the situation is not getting better anytime soon.
I just started a nomap, noportal server with my bois, haven't played since before caverns were realised and now I want to invest more time. I want to build a village and finish current content. And the bloody game is not even finished. Gotta get back to it in couple years again!
I seriously need to build the biggest dyson sohere in Dyson Sphere Program, possibly even on multiple blue stars. I need to do that.

There there is V Rising. Me and my bois will have the coolest clan and best castle in the world. And I will rule.
Need to extermine all the biters and build thousands of tracks in my Factorio playthrough.
I really really need to kill Sarkareth on heroic, I really enjoy the newest WoW expansion after not playing since Legion.
Then there is Rimworld. I wanted to visit all the systems in Elite Dangerous, find the most pitoresque planet with purple grass in No Man's Sky. Run a corporation in Eve and kill every single living thing that my path crosses with in Stellaris.
Don't even get me started on Terraria, Minecraft, Slime Rancher, Cities Skylines, all the cool little games from independent creators. All the coop puzzle games with my girlfriend.

Ive been playing since the very beginning of season 0. I started out on a college laptop and extremely shitty internet. It was my first FPS AND first battle royale. I literally played nothing except minecraft, terraria, and the sims before that.
I've upgraded my setup multiple times over the years, and now i have an amazing one. My internet is now 100x better than its ever been.
I went on a 3-4 season long break and only came back during season 16. So I'm getting back into it and im learning how to actually play and not just surviving on 3fps LMAO
So with that, just watch me grow and get better with every game 😜

I'm a big video game nerd, whenever I'm not studying, or engaging with one of my other hobbies, chances are I'm usually gaming! I primarily play on PC these days, but sometimes I'll hop on my PS4 if I'm in the mood for it. I play games from all sorts of genres, although I have a soft spot for FPS, Simulation, Indie, and story-based games. Some of my current favourites are: Cities: Skylines, Red Dead Redemption 2, City of Gangsters, Elden Ring, Do Not Feed the Monkeys, Slime Rancher, Stardew Valley, and Terraria! I've been thinking about picking up Grand Theft Auto V because it's currently on sale on Steam, mainly for the story though, not really into the online or role-playing stuff lol. So, for anyone who's played through the GTA V story, how was it? Is it worth buying it just for the story? Thank you in advance :)
I'm also very into learning languages! Right now my main focus is German, but I'd really love to pick up French at some point, and maybe get back into Russian. Some other languages I've dabbled in include Norwegian, Spanish, Dutch, along with a couple others. It's a lot, and it makes me a bit sad knowing that I won't be able to experience them all 😅

I really need a laptop for college. My brothers (who are in college) say differing things: one says that a windows based laptop is better because it supports more apps that I may need going into college. The other is adamant that Apple is the way to go, because its performance for its battery life is just really incredible.
In college, I’ll be working on a major in astrophysics, and a minor in math. I am also interested in programming, so I’m taking a computer programming course as well.
The specs that I’m looking for:
-32gbs of RAM (both of my brothers say that this is a must)
-1tb of storage, must be an SSD (this is how much I think I’ll need, and with the projects I’m working on, SSD speeds will be a necessity
-CPU is really negotiable, though I heard that intel while generally more performant, suck up a lot of power, and Ryzen CPUs are more performant per watt, espeacially concerning mobile processors

• GPU. I won’t be doing many projects that will require heavy GPU loads. I might be doing some light CAD work in fusion 360, but that’s about it. The most amount of gaming that I will be doing is terraria, or maybe Minecraft. I’m totally open to any integrated graphics options, or maybe a dedicated GPU, but nothing over-the-top is needed.

-Ports. I will definitely need at least thunderbolt, so I can attach a dongle of some sort. USB-A and HDMI are welcome, but not really needed.
-Screen. I do want to watch movies and videos, so probably IPS or OLED screens would be preferred, ideally 1440p, 60hz, and something around 90% sRBG would be preferred, but not necessary
My price point is around $2000 USD, but is very flexible within a few hundred dollars.
This is my first time buying a laptop, so whatever else you might find useful to a programmer is very welcome to me. Most heavy workloads will be done on a desktop computer, and notes will mostly be done on paper, so I will not be totally dependent on this laptop.

I know terraria a little from watching my brother play it and sometimes playing it a little myself, but I was never good at it and sorta don’t know how to start and do well since it gets confusing quickly when I do solo play through and I get lost. Games i like and play:
I am a huge fan of games, especially the ones like Stardew valley, Sun haven, Minecraft, Terraria, Overcooked (and i desperately want to play it takes two) There are many others i play and like, for instance: League of legends, Valorant, Gears of war, Total war series and many many more.
Other interests:
Besides games i work full time, i can cook and have done so in the past for myself and my parents/siblings. Not too long ago i started reading the entries and extensive archive of the SCP'S and the SCP foundation, so if you know about them or read them that would be huge! I play DnD (dungeons and dragons) with a group every other Saturday, we get together physically to play the game too. Other interests are mixed, i like to talk about the workings of everyday things like how the world keeps turning. What gravity is and how it works, what came first the egg or the chicken. Science facts are always interesting in my opinion and i like to have conversations about a wide variety of topics. However i usually am a shy person so i might have trouble just talking about those things at first.
My appearance:
I don't really share pictures for everyone. If i feel we click i will send a picture for sure so don't worry :) I am a 6"4' or 195cm tall guy, i have mostly grey eyes but sometimes in the right light there can be a green or brown shade too. I have brown hair, usually also a beard but i cut it recently. I can pictures both before and after cutting my beard. I am healthy and maybe on the heavy side, but you know food just is too tasty 😋
Preferences / What i am looking for:
I am looking for a girl who loves to play games and ideally the same ones as me but that's not a necessity. Looks wise i don't have a preference, i do look past the cover to see who is behind it. I really enjoy a person's personality, i have never felt repulsed or otherwise had a negative feeling from looks. <3 I really like to spend time together online, playing games, watching a movie, doing our own thing while in a vc, i really enjoy all of those. Some of my interests/hobbies include: Gaming,fishing,listening to music 24/7, occasionally watching movies.
I would love to find some friends to play some Xbox with! I have tons of games! A few being Cod MW2, stardew valley, terraria, Minecraft, Fortnite, Sea of thieves, deep rock galactic, Diablo 2&3, Apex, gta, rdr2, rust I have like 100 games installed. I’m sure we could find something to play! (Im super bad at games, so I’m looking for people that are casual with games)
I also have a switch! So we could also play some switch stuff :)
Gaming obviously isn’t required for us to become friends! And I wouldn’t like to only talk because of gaming.
Music wise, I listen to mainly hiphop/rap. Stuff like carti,lone,ken,yeat,Summrs, lucki,UnoTheActivist,hardrock, Izaya Tiji,kankan.
I mainly watch horror movies. I don’t watch much these days, but I would definitely be down to watch something together threw discord or something. If you know how to set that up haha.
I love saltwater fishing the most, but freshwater is great aswell! I’m always down to talk fishing!
I’m kinda shy at first, but I’m working on it! I would prefer, if you would be down to voice chat, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker :)
I work weekdays. So I don’t get home till about 5-5:30pm cst. So that’s when I can play games and possibly voice chat.

Um hello, just asking some question when opening terraria there is an error show up that i need to install .Net Framework v4.3019. i did some quick searching what causes the problem and even watch a youtube video about it but that error still appear. Do you guys know how to fix this?

Hello all! If you're reading this it appears my post grabbed your attention, so keep on reading this long post and maybe send a message if you're interested! But please no hi or hey messages lol. Also if you're just looking for a quick chat to solve your boredom the don't message me. My name's J and I'm from the east coast of the USA. I'm actually not too too far from NYC in fact and might visit there soon. So if you're from around my general area, that's awesome. For this post, I've decided to separate it into different sections so you can read what's important to you and see whatcha gotta see basically.
About me:
I am 5 ft 11, basic features like brown hair, average build, green eyes, around 160 pounds, nothing too crazy.
Personality wise, I am definitely a little on the softerelaxed side. Not to say that I'm like super mellow all the time lol, but I'm generally pretty chill and laid back I like to think. I've been told I'm mature for my age for almost my whole life and I like to think so too, never really been a fan of many typical things people around my age do. (Social media, parties, etc) so if you're always at a social event or glued to tik tok, dont even bother messaging me lol. Not to say that I can't enjoy a good laugh from watching something funny, or enjoying time out hanging with friends, but I simply don't have the energy to always be out with people I don't know and I'd rather do something more productive than watch tik tok all day. Anyway enough of that tangent, besides that I'm a kind, giving, and caring person and I really just want to share my kindness and love with someone. I tend to have a heart probably too big for my own good lol, I always worry about little things that probably don't even matter like if that guy over there needs help, or if she's okay, but in the end I think it just shows me as a caring individual.

I'm a fan of anime too and would totally love to watch some with you if you're also a fan! I listen to music often as well and would enjoy trading songs and stuff. I like traveling and want to someday travel abroad to see different places, different people, different cultures, food, landmarks, historical sites, you name it. I want to visit different states but also different countries and have moments that I'll never forget. I also am a fan of working out and staying healthy but I'm not super crazy or invested in it, I'll still eat snacks on occasion. I like watching horrocrime content mostly whenever I'm not watching anime so hopefully you're also a fan?
Now let's talk about a few things that I'm looking for. As a person, I want respect, loyalty and kindness to name a few things. Obviously these are things that anybody should be able to expect from others, and should be expected from themselves too, so if you're a cool ass person towards me I'm gonna be an even cooler person towards you haha. I want to be loved and cared for, as I've got lots of love to give back. I also want somebody who has some time on their hands to spend with me. Let me reiterate, not the whole day lol we've both got lives to attend to, but I want somebody who wants to spend their free time talking to me whether that be text or call. I want us to have similar interests or passions that we can discuss together, or even different ones that we can learn about from one another. I just want somebody who completes me, you know?
