Get ready for ACCENTS in Werewolf! This not quite creature feature has a group of archaeologists, led by Noel (Richard Lynch, Cromwell in Sword and The Sorcerer) and Yuri (Jorge Rivero, Dante in Day Of the Assassin) discovering the remains of a yetiglanchi, a Navajo Skin-Walker, in the desert outside Flagstaff. When a fight breaks out on the dig site, they discover that being scratched by the skeleton curses you with lycanthropy, something that someone unscrupulous could use to save their cash strapped dig. Luckily, Yuri fits the bill there. Meanwhile, in a less wolfish attempt to save the dig, they have invited writer Paul (Federico Cavalli, who seems to have mainly been a musician) to Flagstaff, where he's supposed to puff up the project to draw investors. Instead, he goes to a party, instantly starts swooning over the sole female working on the dig Natalie (Adriana Stastny, in one of her two acting roles on IMDB [the other is a cyborg movie from Albert Pyun, so it may be riffed one day too]). Yuri is creepo pervy for Natalie, though, so he instantly starts roid raging, and quickly starts conceiving plans to eliminate Paul and make money from lycanthropizing modern, man made werefolk. You know, that old chestnut.
What follows is, well, not great. Stastny and Cavalli are both multi-lingual, but neither is great with spoken English, which quickly undercuts any dramatic work they try to do. Jorge Rivero, a bodybuilder with a much bigger acting career in Mexico, plays all of his scenes with different hairdos and ceaseless rage. Richard Lynch occasionally seems to care. And even our old friend, the San Franpsycho himself (yes, I know he wasn't the actual killer in that movie) Joe Estevez turns in a lower quality performance than he does in Soultaker, maybe because this role was just too small. But if I had to cite one major problem with this movie, my issue of choice would be the special effects. The movie clearly loves its werewolves, and they're not terrible all of the time, but many of the mid-transformation stages range from kinda goofy to depressed widower single father Goofy (what the hell was with Goof Troop, anyway). Plus, there's not a lot of consistency with the final forms, either. I dunno if it was damage to costume or cosmetics, bad filming, or some weird intention, but when we finally the the wolfman getting wolfy, his face is inconsistent. And even when it's fairly stable, there's a weird clashing quality to it. This is supposed to be a very serious, tense movie, and it has essentially a serious, scary werewolf, but somehow that seriousness comes to look out of place and dumb.
Luckily, there's a gumball machine and a pile of spray painted lacrosse equipment who love when things look dumb, and this is a riff that takes the absolute fullest advantage of it. The guys are merciless about the special effects, the creature in particular, the film's long bouts of darkness, and the way it uses the transformations to stretch its length in ways that would make the old Universal movie blush. They excellently highlight that "serious to the point of silliness" issue, too. And they have plenty to say about the characters, ranging from their love of poking at Estevez, to their pointing out exaggerated traits like Yuri's psychopathic rage to Stasny's difficulty delivering the lines they gave her. This can be an issue, though, and is one big mark against this riff. There is a thick line of "Natalie is stupid" jokes throughout that are not gonna sit well with some folks. Its a little more glaring than normal because there is so much other crap to riff on in this movie, so going for the whole "this person speaks halting English so they're stupid" thing is grating. It would've been a lot more palatable if they had stuck to highlighting how foolish it was to give her the dialogue they did. When the guys aren't messing with that, though, there is a lot to like here, from their delight with the unnecessary and insane old man caretaker of Paul's house to the weirdness of Yuri's scheme to turn people into werewolves. And the movie's end credit roll itself is special, as the guys take the Fleetwood Mac song Tusk in a fun new direction.
Outside the theater, things are pretty weird and fun. We begin with Mike milking what must've been one of his then favorite impressions, until Crow is forced to bonk him out of it. Afterwards, a jailbreak interrupts breakfast time at Castle Forrester. In our first mid movie segment, the guys pull out a very Joel style gag, casting werewolf movies with silly caricatures, but take a very post Joel spin on it by having a traumatized Crow drag the joke to a halt. In the second segment, things get odd and musical, leading to wigs on Bots in the theater afterwards. If you want it really weird, though, an incident in the theater leads to a horrible fusion of man and bot for the third mid-movie segment, and carries through to the post movie segment, where Tom provides Mike some "Mike essence" of questionable origin, while Bobo screws up Pearl's own essence manipulation experiment.
When all things are considered, this is a GOOD riff, from a season that had a fair bit of them. It's probably not the best of the season, and frankly looks worse than some of the other movies despite being the then newest movie they had ever riffed, but when they're having fun with it, it's a lot of fun.
Get Werewolf if you like: goofy monsters, exaggerated characters, or the sight of dog trying desperately to lick his human's face despite a gorilla mask.
Skip Werewolf if you don't like: some skeeziness, some put down riffs, or very obvious twists.

Hi All, looking for some general advice/ opinion on timing and affordability. I know there is no 'right' time, but the market seems exceptionally volatile at present.
FTB with partner, both 30yo. We are currently renting paying £1500/pcm, no dependents or plan for any in nearish future. Offer accepted at £500K. AIP for £380K mortgage, 35 years, 2 year fixed at 4.71% (repayments around £1860/p.cm, which we intend on splitting 50/50)

Property is a 2 bed Victorian terrace, doesn't need much work, and has the potential for a loft conversion to add 1 or 2 bedrooms (subject to planning, but neighbours have done this - only concern is ours property is end of terrace, with a shared party wall with a three story commercial property)

I just need someone to talk to right now who knows what the pain is like. I’m struggling so much between TN, chronic daily migraine, and FND. Both TN and migraine make it extremely hard for me to cope with loud noise and both the flat next door and upstairs have been renovating for months. It’s constantly making my symptoms worse and I have nowhere else to go. I wear earplugs often and it doesn’t help much. My landlady told me yesterday that they were finally done fitting the carpet upstairs and yet this morning I was awoken yet again by hammering on our ceiling, immediately triggering a TN attack before I’d even opened my eyes. It’s so painful. I can’t escape it.
I’m a week into taking carbamazepine and I don’t feel any difference. In fact, today I just want to die. I can’t see a way forward with this pain and I feel like a burden on everyone around me because I’m too ill to do much. Refreshing to find you. I’m in my 40s, born an only child, a single mom to a 10 year old boy, and I’ve become a lone wolf .. rather extremely. I live within 35 minutes of mom/stepdad AND dad/stepmom.. mom /sd, have always had health issues and of course , are now pretty frail, and any attempt of getting a solid day of child care or anything.. always wrought with guilt and such. My dad, whom I was close with- has literally met my son like 3 times and does not make any attempt to contact me. I’m really weirded out by this.. and it gives me anxiety to even think about calling him, maybe because I fear rejection or something. I know that the pandemic crap has played a role in this estrangement, as well. I’ve always been a fan of conspiracy.. lol.. so of course I found all sorts of stuff in the thick of it- and would share things on social medias… unwittingly!!! .. as I’ve always done, but the times have changed and made such stuff into seemingly deviant behavior! I mean, I should have known better, I guess.. and I’ve since, little interest in such things anyway. Right before pandemic, I have a devastating break up with serious loss.. 2 wrecked cars, $2k stolen, and extreme heartbreak.. and it’s taken this long to begin to be free of aftershock. Meanwhile, I’ve had to move - because landlord of house I rented , over a decade.. just wanted me to, and my little kid with only me - to hold it all together. It’s been a brutal run, to say the least. I have gathered it seems common with the Gen xers, to have understanding there’s been a disservice befallen to us via boomers….too, but.. wasn’t like this as a kid. Well, all of this has impacted my mental health and of course social health and I’m trying to find the way to closer relationships and more friends to do stuff with .. like camping, amusement parks.. whatever..
I feel like I totally still have extreme lack of confidence that tears it’s head .. often, and I can’t help but wind it all back to “daddy issues” .. lol I hate it. Oh - yes- the angst and rage - for my kid, that I have , is what I carry .. and hide, as well. He doesn’t even know what it’s like to have a family. I grew up next to my grandparents and had cousins and aunts/uncles, my fun dad and my mom.. this is crazy to me. Yeah, it was like this before pandemic but not this extreme. I think I just have to make calls and force some kind of visits soon, bravely- because time is ticking. Yeah, I’m an extreme version of this phenomenon. Location: England Right so “force” probably isn’t the right word to describe what I’m trying to say but I will do my best to explain. My partner and I have been renting the same property since February 2020 through an estate agent. The main issue we have is the window in our bedroom. The house is quite old but not a listed building. The window is a single pane window, that is riddled with mould and rot, it doesn’t even close properly. We have complained and submitted requests for it to be fixed or replaced numerous times. But the only thing they do is paint it. As it is rotten and has a lot of black mould around it. It doesn’t last very long before it returns. Is there anything we can do? We are about to welcome a baby and worried that there may be health impacts. Thank you for reading

for whatever reason I lost passion for electric guitar years ago.
I played for over a decade. Mostly at large mega sized churches. Also some gigs. More personal, but I no longer care to be apart of large churches anymore so that has changed what my goals would be for music.
I sol basically everything at the beginning of the year. Now just having a bass and acoustic. I thought maybe I could get into bass, but just havent felt as inspired. Lately I have been wondering if Id want to pick up the electric guitar again. I miss just playing around on it and messing with effects. However the more I thought about it the more I just wasnt sure about it due to the cost and time needed for praticing and messing with gear. I may just only keep my acoustic.
I've grown in my love for photography and have considered using that as more of a creative outlet for myself. I really like nature and landscape photography. I would want to expand that a bit.
I think I might be going through something close to adult ADHD with hobbies. I am not diagnosed btw. I just dont land on anything for long over the last couple of years. I work in tech and Im trying to figure out a creative outlet I can pour myself into and I tend to overthink things.
Photography interests me. It forces you to leave the house and explore. Then at home I can edit photos in my downtime.
I already have biking as a serious hobby and like to make drinks like teas/coffee. I stay busy and dont have a ton of time for a lot more hobbies. So I kind of want to focus on an instrument or photography. Both Id spend $$$$ on. Like buy a nicer DSLR or rebuy guitar and pedals.
I guess the pro of a music is that you can play at home. Also it can lead to being apart of a band and friends. Cons is practice for me. Also for me it means dealing with the cost and upkeep of gear.
I think I might be able to geek out more on camera stuff maybe. I think I am talking myself into photography. However I think of the winter months and days where I can get out as much. Photography is more on the go. But I guess I could edit and play with photos on my days at home.
Thoughts? Maybe photography is more something you can pick right back up, a more natural learning. While guitar is more like a muscle where if you dont do it everyday your ability to play will suffer. I also am concerned about my wrist. I tend to have tendon issues and had to do tons of warmups in the past. But I miss the feeling of playing in a band. Just looks like a lot of work maybe.

I have a reactive dog and my neighbors upstairs are LOUD. It sounds like they are constantly running from one end of the house to the other, all freaking day. I was up until midnight the other night due to it. Obviously my dog hates it. Another issue is outside the room. From my room, I can hear people going in and out of the front door of the entire apartment. I can hear them talking, I can hear their conversations entirely, I can hear their doors opening and closing, even through the front door and my own door.. All of which are also not only loud but disruptive to my dog as well. What can I do to block these sounds out to get better sleep for both of us?

It’s stingy weed season and I want to add a poison ivy wash to our first aid kit but Zanfel is $33 per oz. Have you used anything as effective as Zanfel but is lower cost? Any tips for post exposure treatment?
We have three avid campers in our house and live in an area with poison ivy, oak, and sumac so it’s just a matter of time before someone gets it.

Some weeks ago I found a bee on the floor and I took it to my house grabbing it with my hand and placing it in a piece of cloth
It didn't try to defend itself or flew away, it didn't even walk, it was just... still
After some minutes/an hour it started rubbing it's own legs non stop, like if it was trying to clean itself, I said "ok, a clean boy" but... it kept doing that for a lot of time
It didn't fly, it didn't walk, it didn't even wanted to drink water with sugar, I tried everything but it just kept rubbing it's legs and wings, talking off black dots that I didn't know very good what they were
Does anyone know what could be happening to it? I tried to look for information on the internet but couldn't find anything, and the doubt is still in my mind. I want to know what was going on

For personal reasons, I need extra money, about $1k-$2k for the next six months (through the end of the year). I'm not looking for a career change, but something I can pick up and put down easily but will give me the $ I need to move on.
Complications:

• I'm already working full time;
• I'm 55 years old, and while my health is good, I can't go around throwing bricks on a construction site (odd jobs of my past coming back to haunt me);
• I've got a background in webdev and IT, but the industry has changed so much in the past 10 years that my skills are low-rent;
• I live in a minor southern city in the USA, so most retail jobs pay min. wage;
• I do not own a car.

I've got a master's degree and a lot of job experience in document/information management, and if I could roll a consulting a job I would, but as I said, not really looking for a career change anyway and I don't own any good biz suits anymore.
I've looked at sites like upwork and fiverr, but the gigs there pay crap unless you've already been hustling there for a couple of years, as far as I can tell. Unless I've overlooked something? Also checked out places like UserTesting, and they seem good for making enough to cover a few bills, but not what I need (I applied anyway). Unless there is one out there paying really well, which I doubt.

Anyone know of a reasonably priced & reliable pet/house sitter that can take care of dogs, cats & a bunch of chickens (and maybe goats eventually). We don't have dates, but I have family in Texas that aren't doing well. We might have to go there for a week or so this year. We live in new Iberia.
