So, to be clear: Trump was terrible, Just utterly terrible.
Not trying to whitewash him at all.
The guy is an outright fascist and the movement he unleashed is fundamentally dangerous. I think that I am not alone in saying the trump presidency very much radicalized me (and is the reason I am a socialist as opposed to liberal nowadays).
The point I wanted to make is that, what we had before was also... pretty bad. Having grown a lot over the past few years and learned more history and such, I've realized just how shitty pretty much all presidents are.
Take Bush for example. That fucker is a war criminal and deserves to be locked in a prison cell for the rest of his fucking life and hell even in the afterlife.
The guy started two wars (and meant to start more before Iraq turned to shit) ran a torture prison, hire mercs who massacred a town square when spooked, tortured people at illegal black sites, etc.
Or obama who drone striked a guy cause he was literally the same height as bin laden (in reality he was an innocent afghan collecting scrap metal). Or all the weddings we bombed, children we killed, and families we destroyed in Afghanistan and Iraq on his watch. I mean they called him drone strike in chief for a reason. Not to mention his continuation of PRISM and the PATRIOT Act, which are fundamentally authoritarian (and his continued persecution of Edward Snowden for revealing that shit). Deportations and shit went up under him.
Obama was certainly better than Trump and Bush, but he was still like... bad.
Looking back on the Trump presidency, it seems that what was unique about it was dropping the facade. Dropping the pretense that this country is some enlightened democracy and those in power are in power because they deserve it. Presidents before Trump hid the violence inherent to the system (though of course that was only at home, if you were a foreigner you were fucked).
The status quo sucked.
And so I am asking myself, looking back on the trump presidency: were there things he was uniquely bad at that topped bush level fuckery? Was his biggest effect really just dropping the facade?

Had the audacity to shoot my shot with someone way out of my league and it's been really good. When we're together, it's absolute bliss. They're sweet, reassuring, caring, honest, basically everything that you could ever ask for. On top of that, they're gorgeous, smart, and cultured - honestly what more could you ask for?
Welp, that's where the anxiety and insecurity kicks in.
Honestly, sometimes I feel like the only thing I have going for myself is my good looks and some semblance of charisma and intelligence (that only shows its worth on good days hahaha). I'm still struggling to get my degree because of mental and financial reasons.
Meanwhile, this person is the entire package. Aside from what I mentioned above, they also come from a wealthy family. They have a good career ahead of them, and they're a bit older than me.
Because of that, I always find myself questioning my worth. I constantly feel pressured to prove that I deserve someone like them. The benefit of this is that they've become a sort of motivation for me to push myself to be better. But lately, I often feel like breaking.
A lot of negative self-talk happens and I'm regularly asking myself, what if I don't square up? Or what if I'm just someone to satiate their needs for the time being, then they move on to someone more fit for them once that person comes along? What if their family disapproves of me? What if I can't give them all the good in the world that they deserve??

I'm a first time grower, and I'm growing red radish on a coco mat. I had lots of issues at the start - seedlings falling over, roots turning black, yellowish mold appearing on seed hulls, but strangely enough my plants have overcome that and are looking strong currently.
I noticed that some of the roots had started to grow some yellowish mold on them, and the black roots are still there, although now many white roots have appeared with my plants' apparent resurgence.
I'm wondering if the microgreens are still safe to eat? I'll be discarding the mouldy ones obviously, and any leaves that have discoloration, but would the ones that look fine be okay to eat after washing? I don't want to cook them if necessary.

I workout in the morning and get ready for work after. I SWEAR I'm not the high maintenance but I feel like I am lugging around a millions pounds worth of stuff. All my stuff is in travel size when possible including my makeup. The only supplement I carry is my creatine but everything else is portioned into small little Tupperware cups... but between my clothes, meals, shaker bottles, shoes for the gym and work... and then it's 100* - I feel over encumbered by all of it.

I would climb its old trunks or curl myself up in its wide roots. Sometimes I read, sometimes I listen to music, but usally I sit there with my thoughts. My thoughts of you. I rember that day so vividly, I was sitting by the tree when I got the call. That call changed everyting. For months after you passed everything was different, the world went dull, evroyone was quiet, your laugh was gone. For a while I couldn't go back to the tree beacuse all I would see was you. You'r lifeless body swinging. Ater some time I was able to start going back and one day it was like nothing had changed, I could go back even after all that time it was still bright and quiet, but not in the way everyone eles was I found myself going there at every moment I could, suddenly I wasn't just climbing up old tree trunks, I was climbing up onto your shoulders. The roots I used to curl up in were now you' arms. I could sit there all night talking to the stars hoping you could hear me. I look out at the animals, all the cows you used to look after when I'd sit in the tree, the sheep we would mark with the same mark we put on the tree. When I'm at the tree everything remindes me ofyou which is why what was once a tree was now also you. I tell the tree all my sectrets, all my thoughts, like I would with you. The tree is you and I think thats why I love it so much, no matter what I know that I will always find myself back here, here at the tree with you. I may miss you more then anything but I know a little bit of you will always be here, always with me and thats all I could ask for. Thats why the big old oak tree that stands all alone in the paddock is my favrouite place.

My house has a tiny back yard (basically two squares of grass each 3m by 4m, on the sides of a tiled area). The house, like all surrounding houses, is a double story - which means the backyard only gets direct sun when the sun is overhead, maybe 3 hours a day in summer. But I am in Sydney Australia so that overhead sun can be scorching!
We have lived in this house for a year, and this past summer I tried growing veggies in pots (tomatoes, herbs, peppers, chillies - all of which I grew successfully in pots previously). But no luck, the tomatoes yielded a couple of edible tomatoes between 2 plants, and I had a single jalapeno off the chilli plant. I suspect the heat was too much.
So I am looking for a unicorn plant: something that can handle very hot summers (often 35 degrees C, could be up to 40) but shade most of the day. Does this exist in the veggie world? I adore growing food but not sure if this property will allow it.
ETA: I would like to garden in ground, will be removing the lawn on at least one side so my question isn’t specific to container plants
