Swing states Arizona Cari Lake ( Trump backed) lost by <1% in an non presidential year election even though Mark Kelly won by ~5%, largest margin for Dem senator since DeConcini (1988). Lean R for both Trump vs Biden Lean R for DeSantis vs Biden Wisconsin Dem governor won by 3%>, GOP senator won by 2%>, epitome of swing state I gave it blank since GOP is having convention, and primary debates there, but Dems had convention in Philly 2016, and in Charlotte in 2012 and lost both. Youngkin (crt, life starts at conception, anti-climate change) (signed bill getting rid of state portion of Virginia grocery tax,funded HBCUs (by removing it from DACA recipients), removed college req for some state jobs, endorsed by only black governor in Virginia history, squeezed more margins out of Trump 2020 Appalachia counties(crt/inflation Dem flips?) This is the way too early part, if Youngkin gets in the race, largely cause he can’t run in 2025 for governor, and finishes 3rd to Desantis and Trump which I think he would… it might make Virginia more interesting iffff combined with Youngkin running, GOP are able to capture both the state senate and state house in the local elections of the state. By the way MASSIVE LOCAL ELECTIONS in Virginia this year, all 40 of the state senate and all 100 of the state house of delegates are up. I don’t see any Dems/ Dem media talking about it. Youngkin at the root of it is a ‘life start at conception,’ Republican that will definitely sign a heartbeat bill or worse. If pro-choice folks want to protect any sort of reproductive rights in the entire south, the GOP cannot be allowed to get at least 1 of the houses. |

The players drive the economy. No Admin shop, no P2W features. However, there is another, very important, agent in Advanced-Kind’s economy. The cities themselves. Towns will in the future be able to choose from a variety of production centers to build and upgrade over time as their population grows.
Mines, sawmills, farms, and much more. All unique advantages to living in a town, custom coded, and exclusive to our server. They will provide a source of regenerative resources that will re-balance gameplay around them.
Those smaller cities that cannot afford the coins to expand (unlike larger cities with a larger taxpayer base) can still thrive! Explore our Quest World and earn Building Supplies! These little things can cover all Towny expenses. For the first time, Towns with small but very active players can compete with huge metropolises!

Advanced-Kind was started by Towny veterans and it's intended for both dedicated Towny & SMP players, and anyone looking for a welcoming community. In any chat.4- Do not spam general chats.5- Do not advertise other Minecraft servers, Discords, and/or websites.6- Cheating is not allowed. Modified clients that provide any sort of advantage are not allowed. Mods and texture packs such as X-Ray are not allowed. (Optifine is allowed)7- Do not use exploits. Here are all of the new US CCS (Level 3 fast-charging) stations that rolled out in May 2023, according to the Department of Energy. These chargers are suitable for most new EVs on the market, except for:
There were 222 CCS charge points added or refreshed in May 2023, which is up from 171 in April. For comparison, there were only 74 new CCS charge points in May 2022. Things are speeding up.
"What about CCS charging at Tesla superchargers?" Tesla is in the process of rolling out their "magic dock" for non-Tesla cars, but so far in very few locations. If they start doing this at scale and reporting it to the Alternative Fuels Data Center then it will be reflected here.
"What about Ford vehicles with NACS (Tesla) plugs?" They are not on sale yet. Current-generation Ford vehicles have CCS plugs. The next generation will have NACS (Tesla) plugs, but will also support CCS via an adapter.

2023.06.06 10:15 Responsible-Hat-8350 Dog bit my dog (NC)
This is in the state of North Carolina.
This is the second incident I’ve had with this same dog. The first time, I was returning to my house and the dog was off leash, ran across a field and attacked my dog and my hand was bitten a few times in trying to protect my dog. It did not require any medical attention as it was just a few cuts and bruises on my hand, and no injury to my dog.
I requested rabies vaccine info later that night, and after exchanging phone numbers, the owner agreed to send them to me. After 2 days I had not received anything, so I finally called animal control to verify the vaccination status. They finally get the verified vaccine status back to me.
Fast forward a few months to now. Since that incident, I have seen the dog continue to be off leash behind my house, so I try to consciously take my dog out the front.
One day as I’m walking off my porch, my Husky sees this owner and his dog on the side walk (about 10 feet away) before I can since there’s a bush right at bottom of the steps of my porch. I’m able to lock up my dog with my leash around the edge of the property line and stop him from getting to this owner and his dog, but his dog has begun pulling too and is able to close the gap.
My dog ends up getting bitten on his paw pad. The wound is pretty bad and will need stitches. Neither of us realize he’s bitten right away as we’re just trying to keep them separated, but my dog does let out a pretty loud yelp. Once we’re separated, I see he’s been bitten and I rush him to urgent care.
I don’t have footage of the incident, but my neighbor was able to capture the owner and his dog approaching my house, followed by the sounds of my dog being bitten. My neighbors also have seen the dog repeatedly off leash behind our houses.
I have asked the owner for his home owner’s insurance to file a claim, but he is saying he does not feel he is responsible for the damages as his dog was acting in self defense. I do not believe that is an accurate description of what happened, and I see it as an unfortunate sequence of events where we basically walked around a corner at a bad time, but my dog has not bitten another dog before, his has, he’s repeatedly broken leash laws, and his dog has now bitten both me and two of my dogs at this point. I also now have the first incident documented with animal control precisely because he would not procure his dog’s rabies vaccination status.
In this case specifically, his dog is the one that has done damage and I believe in NC, with strict liability laws for dogs, you are simply liable for the damages your dog causes.
The vet bills have racked up to a few thousand dollars at this point. Am I in the right here, and would this be worth pursuing in small claims?

While it's not quite the Stanley Cup Playoffs, college baseball's postseason is one hell of a trip with all kinds of twists, turns, and plenty of teams to point and laugh at from the first pitch of each regional to the glories of Omaha. (It's baseball, OF COURSE the crown jewel would be in the middle of... well, not quite nowhere, but close enough. As an LSU fan, it's that proverbial pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.)
-Without further adieu, let's cut to the chase with our first batch of eliminations. These teams are like those opening jobbers on Ninja Warrior, the ones who slip off the first obstacle and end up all soaked.
Northeastern, Florida A&M, Arizona, Lipscomb, Tulane, Eastern Illinois, Army, San Jose State, Maine, UNC-Wilmington, Oklahoma State*, Ball State, Auburn*, Wright State, Central Connecticut, and Nicholls State: Pack your shit up, and go home, you are ELIMINATED from the NCAA College Baseball Championship.
Now, why do two of those teams have stars by their name? Because not only did they lose two straight... they did so as the host team! #13 Auburn suffered the indignity of losing to Penn in their opener before getting sent home by Southern Miss. #11 Oklahoma State one-upped them by losing to ORAL ROBERTS... then getting Malcolm X curbstomped by DALLAS BAPTIST 18-4.

Deep beneath the streets, a labyrinthine network of tunnels and caverns bore secrets of a forgotten past. Legends spoke of the Nords, who sculpted the fate of these subterranean realms through violent conquest, drawn by the ephemeral radiance that once bathed these untrodden lands.
Echoes carried the stories of Gillikristr, the visionary founder of Iria, whose sacrifice quelled the vast military power and unearthly horrors that threatened to consume the city.
Within the weathered embrace of its walls, the very essence of Iria's foundation permeated the air, the weight of the city's destiny rested upon the tavern's timeworn shoulders.
At it's center, the Briar Thorn Tavern stood proudly as a timeless sanctuary emerged from the veils of misty twilight that tenderly caressed the city's cobblestones. It transcended its once-homely status, becoming a hearth for the downtrodden, restless, and lost. Beckoning weary souls yearning for respite from the burdens of existence. Aged beams, polished by countless hands, emanated the warmth of ancestral embrace, while ancient tales reverberated throughout, blending with patrons' hushed murmurs seeking solace from the tumultuous world.
Here, adventurers found respite where their journeys merged in a symphony of shared experiences.

Isabel's gaze shifted to the walls adorned in festive decorations that filled every corner, transforming the tavern into a celebration itself. The tantalizing aromas from the kitchen hinted at delightful treats prepared with extra care, each dish a tribute to the upcoming revelry. The large man, undeterred by the rising clamor, added his voice to the mix. "Three, then. And a pitcher of your best stout, if you would be so kind."

Isabel, ever the enchantress of the stage, acknowledged the uproar with a graceful bow at the waist, her every movement a testament to her showmanship. "Of course. I'll tend to that in a moment," she assured, a playful wink accentuating her words. "Now, as I was sayin', I'll get yer orders in a minute."

In response, the man chuckled, his cheeks flushing as he met her infectious smile. "I doubt it. He should be back in a few. Left his ledger with Gerik."

Guess he's just new... though that doesn't explain why he speaks so... peculiarly. Claims he's from Draigfell, yet he talks like he's from a different continent."

"I'm Micah, a fa'miliar face 'at 'as graced these walls fer twenty-five years. The bonds o' friendship 'ave woven through the tapestry o' time, connectin' yer family and mine in a shared 'istory."

my boyfriend and i (mid 20s) currently live in Overland Park, KS and are looking to move elsewhere next summer. we both love the outdoors and enjoy the more woodsy/mountainous scene; access to hiking trails and parks is important. ideally, the area would be more on the blue side but we are both from the midwest so we can handle some red. we are both in college and don't have a ton to spend on housing, so our budget for an apartment is $1,300. career availability for STEM in nearby cities would be great. any ideas?

upstART Gallery: A Jim Lee Project at Pop Box Gallery- upstART Gallery will host its first group show at Pop Box Gallery & The Art Chose Me’s residency in Old East Durham. The show features 27 artists who were selected through an open call review process. Artists were challenged to create work especially for this unique space, scaled 1:12 (one inch = one foot).

- 5 Points Gallery in downtown Durham introduces a new exhibit featuring the work of our member artist, Donna Stubbs. Donna uses an archaeological approach to painting, as she lovingly photographs her surroundings and unearths discarded items in thrift stores to create abstract mixed media works.

Hi all, I’m a midwesterner turned ocean enthusiast. I live in NC now but still a few hours from the ocean. I just did a quick sprint to the shore yesterday evening, hoping to skim a little before dark and again after sunrise before resuming the work week. When I got to the beach (Carolina beach south of Wilmington) the tide was high, the beach was steep, and the surf was so rough that when it caught my board a couple times I worried that I wouldn’t get it back. I kind of assumed that the tide would be different 12 hours later in the morning, but it was exactly the same.
As a complete newb to the ocean, what are some resources I can use to find better skimboarding conditions, and, uh, what are those conditions?

Hey everyone,
Posting anonymously because this is a really hard time right now. I'll try to keep this succinct. My wife and I have a house we bought in 2020 that has gone from 300k value to somewhere between 500-650k value (we're meeting with our realtor tomorrow). We moved around a lot in our twenties and accumulated debt during that time living below the poverty line, and well now we have a kid, we've accumulated more and its gotten to point where we're having to make some tough calls. We have around 100k total in debt (50k in loans we took a year ago to pay off the old credit card debt from twenties, 20k in new credit card debt since having a kid and not being able to find any childcare so spouse had to reduce hours, 6k in medical debt from a surgery I had this year, and another 20k in student loans that I know bankruptcy wont help with). We have 270k left on mortgage, so there's potential for us to make anywhere from 175-300k from a sale and pay off all debts and have money for a down payment on a new house closer to family (we're in NC currently). Though I will say if we had no debt I could cover all of our costs under my income, so really the debt payments we have currently are what has dragged us under. Under North Carolina I believe we can only exempt 70k total in equity, which I feel like would leave us on the hook for all our debt still or the bankruptcy court would just sell our house right?
TLDR: We have 200kish in equity, should we sell to pay off debts and move somewhere more affordable or is there a way to file for bankruptcy and not lose the house but also not land another debt bill in the process?
