2023.06.08 13:33 Mediocre_Criticism46 I ruined our relationship and need advice

We’ve been together for 3 years and have a 2 year old together. For a little over a year now, I haven’t given her the attention she needed. We had different ideas of cuddling, and I never held her the way she wanted and needed. It gets deeper than this but I’ll stop there.) I’ve tried really hard to be the best boyfriend I could be but it was “too little too late”. So sadly, she’s leaving. We will remain good friends, which is a plus for co-parenting.
I work 12hr days including drive time. And absolutely can’t afford day care, so she’s taking our daughter. She will happily let me come hangout with her, take her anytime, whatever I want. But it’s heart breaking to know when I get home from work, I won’t see her happy little face looking at me through a window.
How do you dads handle this? What do you tell yourself to truly feel like it’ll be okay? I can’t imagine how much this girl will miss me without having me around all the time. Or how she’ll cry for her mom when I take her for a day. She does that already as she’s so attached to her. (Stay at home mom)
I messed up in being selfish. I made this bed and I have no choice but to lay in it. However it tears my heart to pieces and I really don’t know how to handle this.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

2023.06.08 13:33 Scarfacopia Trying to distance myself from parents

Hi, I'm 23 y/o afab enby, she/they, I'm bisexual and in a polyamorous relationship, been with my nesting partner (28 y/o transfemme enby, also she/they) for about 3 and a half years now and am seeing this really great amab enby (same age as my other partner), he/they, and I'm currently in the waiting process for my results for my final year of uni and I'm in a very scary and precarious feeling place right now. My parents (53 y/o dad & 54 y/o mum) are very Conservative religious Muslims who have been hovering over since I reached puberty and are also very homophobic (and obviously also transphobic).
They've been very detrimental to my mental and emotional health which has also led to an unhealthy relationship with food and trying new things as I tend to feel like if I'm not good at something from the get go, or if the thing I'm interested in is something they don't understand or have interest in, they tend to be very critical and dismissal over it and when I don't feel happy, I tend to eat my feelings. I've also been diagnosed with depression, anxiety and AD/HD and most likely very autistic and they've very judgemental and close minded about my mental health (not letting me take medication at an earlier age, kept saying I should exercise and just keep up with chores and hygiene which I've been doing my best to like do but was never the answer to these problems, so many more things).
They've been planning this vacation for after my graduation but honestly, with how they acted over me wanting to get my graduate visa and their apprehension over me staying in the UK if I haven't gotten a job has been making me dread a trip I would've otherwise enjoyed if it was with more patient and understanding people. My nesting partner has been really worried about me going on this trip but I'm mostly doing this so I can hopefully get one last big vacation and also a PC that was promised to me that would be very helpful for my work (studying animation production and hope to be within the industry and hopefully make my own studio). I'm hoping after this trip I can create some way of creating distance from my parents without having to come out (I'm hoping to bring up my mental health instead as it is still a very real reason why I want to distance myself from them) but I still worry that no matter how I distance myself, my parents are still gonna try and cling on to me and drag me back "home" (I grew up in Kuwait and both my parents are very arab) or even hurt the people I care about.
I want to find some ways to create some safety precautions for if they ever try something like this because even if I'm not 100% sure if they'll do something heinous, I don't want to risk it. I don't have many family members who know and only a few members who know and are supportive (my brother, his wife and family-in-law, and my cousin) so I'm very scared about my parents ever finding out that I am queer and doing something to me or to my friends and loved ones, I constantly worry about my brother being given any kind of like, ridicule from my parents because of some bullshit like "not doing a better job watching over me" or something because he doesn't deserve to have any blame for my identity going against the norm and despite our occasional arguments, he's still been more in my corner than my parents have been when it comes to this stuff. I just want to live freely and I desperately need the chance to heal from so much of the things that just have been traumatic for me or else idk what I'm gonna do.
I just wish they could be supportive of me, especially when I also have a friend who is Muslim and queer and has made it easier to have a healthier connection with Islam, even if I don't necessarily believe in it anymore. I was raised Muslim and I want to be able to still implement part of like Islamic teachings as well as just have a better connection to my national identity (very mixed arab, dad saudi and iraqi, mum Palestinian and persian, want to have a better connection to all parts of my nationality in a way that feels personal and want to also be able to learn Arabic with my nesting partner (we use a few words and we call each other habeebti)).
Tl;dr my parents are huge helicopter parents who genuinely terrify me and I really want to have some safety nets/precautions for when I fully move to the uk so that I can be able to have a better sense of self and feel more relaxed and safe.

2023.06.08 13:32 tomatojuice1 As a Pos 5 it seems like it doesn't matter if I'm in the game or not.

5 of every 20 games are decided by an AFK team, farming for 45 mins against AM and Medusa, then being surprised when they get steamrolled in the lategame.
10 of those 20 games are decided by other lanes. Offlane will have 15 deaths between them by the end of laning, or mid will lose and call gg at 10 minutes.
4 of those 20 games are normally decided by 1 core who gets an early lead and then steamrolls the whole game.
Maybe 1 in 20 games I feel like I actually have a measurable impact.
Also 19 of those games are spent getting shouted at in various other languages by people with a flimsy grasp of the game flaming you for not being in all 3 lanes simultaneously and not having global spell casting. I've lost count of how often I'm called useless because of stupid shit like our pos 1 solo diving T2 and being greeted by 4 enemy TPs, then getting mad I'm still by the T3 pinging and calling for them to go back, because of course they're going to rotate.
I've tried taking charge and rallying the team, pinging objectives, smoking and calling plays and I either get completely ignored by 2 or 3 players so it doesnt happen, or someone gets instantly mad and starts fight pinging.
I've tried playing more like a 4 and reacting to other lanes, trying to save mid and off but there's only so many TPs I can use, and I'm leaving our 1 isolated every time so it's a huge gamble.
Even the winning games often feel like i'm just a roaming ward, with VS 1 hitting me at the start of every fight or Clinkz and Riki diving me under T3s.
It didn't used to be this way. Even earlier in 7.33 things seemed ok, but I've lost 500 MMR in the last month from back to back games like this. It just seems so one sided, and when games are decided by 10 minutes it's just not enjoyable to play the rest.
Pls help, how do you play Dota (at 4k - 5k).
I know this is a rant post but I would genuinely welcome ideas on how to play 5k Pos 5 in these kind of games.

2023.06.08 13:31 bunja-man diaphragm breathing ??

this doesn’t really make sense to me i’ve always sung well but haven’t sung for a while so my confidence is shot , but getting back into it.
i’ve been watching some youtube videos and omg
do these singing lesson videos snatch the fi out of singing
do this for range do that for range etc etc
you know when you learn to sing you just enjoy it and do not think about all this stuff
if you tell someone to learn how to breathe there going to think about breathing
and this is probably making there technique worse
oh i need to think about breathing here comes that “gulp!!!
and that’s where they learn to breathe badly
i’ve incorporated a bad technique lately which i never had before
and i couldn’t even get through a whole song
and that technique was thinking to breathe
“shit big notes coming breathe correctly diaphragm GULP
got that note right but messed up the one after
and it feels like holding your breath and coming up for a gulp of air
this is what thinking about singing done to me and i’m just commenting here in case it does it to others
what works better for me now
is try to connect all the notes in a line together without gaps
or “ i went to the park to play with the dooogg” and then there’s would be a natural gap where you’d breathe but don’t think about it, because you will naturally breathe after and your brain will learn to distribute the air , you mind will know how and when to breathe
when learning anything if we think about it too much it becomes a problem and it has made singing stressfull for me
so i’m gonna enjoy it and figure it out again myself along the way
because you wouldn’t watch a video on how to ride a bike then expect to ride it on your first go would you
you would expect to fall off a few times
have fun singing stop making it too technical
warm up your own fun way and sing and be confident because confidence is the main thing
and when you do something without thinking on auto pilot it becomes a breeze and easy
enjoy singing again this is what i intend to do thanks

2023.06.08 13:31 thescoobymike Are Catholics purposefully vague about what is literal and allegorical in the Bible?

I agree with the more “intellectual” Catholics that every book in the Bible is different and should be judged by its own genre. I do think there is allegory and literary devices in many places but I don’t think it’s always where Catholics think it is and the way they apply it is not what I think the authors intended or how the original readers would have interpreted it. The Catechism and tradition seems to treat Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Moses, etc. as all being historical figures but it seems that their stories have become more and more allegorized over the years. I know that Origen was pretty early on in the Christian movement and allegorized a little bit but those scriptures were Jewish and Origen was a Christian who was also later condemned as a heretic by other Christians. There’s limits to allegorizing though because all of those OT events are supposed to be part of “salvation history”. If a lot of these events in salvation history never actually happened then how can they say that the finale of it, the death and resurrection of Jesus, did happen? I think most “intellectual” Catholics would probably say many of the stories in the Old Testament are allegorical but the Gospels and Acts are historical. Until you mention the people rising from the graves in Matthew or the timeline difference of the crucifixion in John then they’ll be willing to admit those might be literary embellishments. If that’s the case though, why not say the virgin birth is a literary embellishment? Or the entire infancy narratives? Or the ascension? Or anything else? It seems the lines are blurred on purpose so as to not draw themselves into a corner.

The Financial Times that boasts 22.5 million monthly readers, today their UK print edition is featured in news stands all over the country with the front page headline:
Cryptocurrency ownership doubles in a year as mis-selling crackdown nears.
Link to their tweet if the front page here
The article covers the story that going by the UK's financial conduct authorities own survey almost 1 in 10 people in the UK now own cryptocurrency in the UK.
This figure has apparently more than doubled than those that own cryptocurrency in 2021.
The article quotes the FCA's head of consumers and competition whom said "it's up to people whether they buy crypto...Our rules give people the time and the right risk warnings to make an informed choice"
Over the years The Financial Times peddled disproportionate amounts of crypto FUD and negative headlines. Although this undertone is still present in articles, over the past few years they have gradually been forced to evolve to compete with Crypto news outlets and stay relevant. Not only do they now have specific subcategories devoted to crypto news they are even hosting their own Crypto summits, featuring high profile speakers from the crypto industry.
Over the years many people involved in crypto have asked the question when will it become mainstream. The answer to that question is undoubtedly every single day, compared to 4 years ago the sub has ballooned in crypto is everywhere.
In the article it states 36% of 2,000 adults had heard or seen cryptocurrency ads and 25% of those not previously involved in crypto became after seeing them.
Today "Cryptocurrency" is featured in bold text, on the front page of the leading financial newspaper displayed in news stands throughout the UK.
Everyday crypto take another step closer to mass adoption. One day there won't be a person on the planet that isn't touched in some way by crypto.

2023.06.08 13:31 P1p1296 Has it affected you emotionally or psychologically?

I'm still getting tested but the lab results seem to be positive, a doctor will only see me in 20 days, other doctors said I was just fine before.
I've had really bad dry eyes for two months now and it's fucking me up. I work on my computer and have my own business, for weeks I have been unable to work, watch movies, even read books is painful, sleeping doesn't make it better. Using all type of drops even during the night.
I'm incredibly sad, I have clinical depression and my doctor increased my meds because I got worse. some days I feel like it's not worth living if I can't do the job I love. I feel useless. I'm running out of money.
People here talk about not being able to cry for years, how does it affect you emotionally and psychologically? Do you just get used to it?
People who have to go to work every day even in bad days, do you just use drops and deal with the pain?
Sorry if I'm being dramatic, I was already hospitalized twice this year for unrelated things that happened randomly, I feel like I don't have any strength left.

2023.06.08 13:30 coll_ryan Manage Subscriptions with Virtual Cards

Here's a little tip I've found recently for managing/pruning regular subscriptions. First of all, find a card provider that lets you set up virtual cards. I use Monzo Plus - it costs £5 a month but has other benefits and the cost is partially offset by the interest you get paid as a plus member so the real cost is more like ~£3.50 a month. Other neobanks probably offer similar features.
All you do is create a subscriptions card and put all of your regular subscriptions (netflix, gym etc.) on that. Then, once a quarter (or however often you like), delete and re-create the card with new details. This forces you to go through the services you actually use and update the card details.
For me, having to opt back in to my subscriptions every so often makes it much less likely that I'll keep subscriptions active that I don't need, especially if it's a small amount. Also given how many subscription services make it notoriously difficult to cancel, having the option to simply stop paying them and sort out the formal cancellation later is great for putting the control back on your side.
Apologies if this is too basic or has been discussed before but I couldn't see any recent mentions!

2023.06.08 13:30 RealisticRide9951 Udemy Web Dev Courses

I just have a gripe that I need to air out, I bought a couple of web dev courses on Udemy, and I feel that Angela Yu's Complete Web Dev Bootcamp version Sep 2021 was the best tutorial course hands down.
Fyi, i also bought Colt Steele and Rob Percivals web dev courses, just so i can have options to style of teaching and structure of course, but Angela Yu's course just was the one that match my learning style. her course was well structured, concise, light and easy to follow. she also has a go over programming topics as you code a project kinda style. So in a 10 minute video youll learn hands on how to set up a basic personal website and all the tags of an html.
however, i have a major gripe with angela yu's updated course version 2023, this is why im here at reddit venting. the updates deleted most of the well structured video tutorials that matched perfectly with my learning style. the new videos now available feels like spaghetti that i have to dig out the noodles one by one and arrange it in away so i can easily see the big picture. i'm mad. i want to re rate the tutorial as 2 stars.
they should have given the option to subscribers to be able to jump to the new course or stay on the old course and jump back later. now all the progress has been erased. and it seems like there has been several updates because the link to the old videos still does not contain the version i was working on in 2021.
such a mess, i feel like this is not the product i bought and theyve taken the product i bought away from me without my knowledge or permission.
end rant.

2023.06.08 13:30 Own_Seaworthiness336 ATO/Tax question

I’m unsure if it’s appropriate to ask this here. (If not please let me know of anywhere that might be appropriate.) This financial year I invested 5K into a “solid” investment that a family member had found and had been making money from. I saw a return of 35K on this investment. It was to do with sports betting where the owner of the business makes professional bets on behalf of clients and apparently delivers you the returns.
I was really happy obviously with this return but decided to pull out at that point just to make sure I really got my money and it wasn’t a scam. I did get my money and that was that. Thought maybe I’d invest again down the line. Anyway long story short that business folded up and ended up being a Ponzi scheme. The owner ran off with a bunch of people’s money. Now I was deeply in debt at the time and all my “profits” had long gone paid into bills etc but my question is how does this affect me at tax time. Do I report this amount as taxable income? The fraudster had told us all it was tax free earnings since it was gambling and gambling isn’t taxed in Australia but that never sounded right to me. And especially now since it has been revealed as a scam I’m even more unsure how to report these funds at tax time or how much I’ll likely have to pay on it. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

2023.06.08 13:29 HeyBanaynay [Recommendations] I finally found ABTF, but…small problem

The bra that fits is an Elomi Brianna cage plunge bra in size 40JJ. I love how it fits and looks, but those cute straps on the top only go with so many outfits. That being said, I need something that fits exactly like that bra, but doesn’t have the straps on top.
This is the first bra I’ve ever worn where the gore actually tacks. I had never tried a plunge bra before, but I think it’s the style I need. I always have gore problems and I think it’s because it comes up too high.
Other bras I tried are the Elomi Charley plunge, Elomi Matilda plunge, and Goddess Kiera
The Charley almost fits right, but I think the gore is a little wider than the Brianna and it cuts into my breast just a little bit. I would probably just buy this one, but I don’t know if I could wear it for a full day. I don’t like the material it’s made from, it feels a bit scratchy. This one does feel a little snug, but I do have a bra extender coming. Maybe that will improve the feel?
The Matilda fits ok everywhere except the top of the cups. They seem a bit loose and there is extra room there. The straps wanted to slide off my shoulders for some reason.
The Kiera fits pretty bad. The gore doesn’t tack and there is weird gaping on the sides even though the cups seem to fit ok. I got this one in a 42M/42J. I ended up sister sizing to a 40JJ for the others I tried because the band liked to slide around over time when on the loosest hooks. It stops doing that on the tightest hooks.
Elomi bras Goddess Kiera
What should I try?

Hi all, I'm trying to flesh out a whole campaign built around time travel, the premise is this: the party starts at point A (anchor) in time they do some stuff until they come across an experiment that zaps them 100 years in the future in the same place, they spend some time there and are suddenly zapped another 100 years to the future, where they discover that the world suffered a horrible apocalypse (e.g. demon invasion) and they must try to survive the very hostile landscape, as they encounter a much more powerful monster than they are and it's about to strike them they are zapped again, this time 100 years before the Anchor where everything is green and peaceful again, after spending some time there they are zapped again 100 years forward and arrive at the original time, but the combined time they spend in the other timelines has passed for them. then the whole cycle starts again.
They whole campaign arc is essentially running on 4 sub arc timelines:

2023.06.08 13:29 Occultscience2 Reiki Course 50% off-Demo offer Join Now

A Reiki Healing Course involves placing the hands on or just above various body parts to promote health. Living beings are believed to have energy control that enhances their health and vitality.
What is Reiki
Precociously in the 20th century, Reiki, a spiritual technique, was developed in Japan. It entails applying hands-on healing methods to channel and transfer energy in order to encourage mental, emotional, and spiritual recovery.
Reiki is a combination of the Japanese terms "rei" which means Universal, and "ki," which means Energy, which both imply "life force energy." It is the belief of Reiki practitioners that by channelling this energy, they may harmonize and restore the body's natural energy flow, thereby fostering healing and well-being.
A Reiki session involves the practitioner placing their hands on or near the recipient's body and channelling energy through a sequence of hand postures. Throughout the treatment, the receiver usually lies down or sits comfortably while remaining completely clothed.
Although reiki is viewed as a complementary therapy, conventional medical care is frequently combined with it. Although there is not any scientific proof that Reiki works, many people find it to be a relaxing and helpful practice.

Our Best Teaching Methods of Reiki

How Reiki Interact With Our Life

There are many ways that reiki can improve our life. Here are a few illustrations:
In general, anyone seeking to improve their life's physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being may find Reiki to be a useful and advantageous practice.

What is the Role of Chakras in Reiki?

The chakras are important in Reiki because they are thought to be the primary energy Centres in the body that correspond to the many physical, emotional, and spiritual facets of who we are. The chakras are significant focal places for energy flow and balancing in Reiki, and they can facilitate healing and good health.
In order to balance and restore the body's natural energy flow during a Reiki session, the practitioner may concentrate on one or more of the chakras. To do this, they could put their hands directly on or close to the chakra or use particular Reiki techniques to send energy there. Reiki uses the chakras to assist relieve blockages and encourage the free flow of energy throughout the body, which promotes the recovery of the body, mind, and spirit.
Reiki practitioners can utilize this knowledge to assist in directing their treatment since each chakra is linked to particular physical and emotional traits. For instance, the practitioner might concentrate on the Heart Chakra, which is linked to love and compassion, if the patient is feeling anxious or stressed. The Solar Plexus Chakra, which is linked to personal power and self-esteem, could also be the focus if the patient is having digestive problems.
Reiki can enhance overall health and well-being by promoting balance and harmony in the body, mind, and spirit by working with the chakras in this way.

I wanted to find out if there's a correlation between how many changes clubs make to their squad after they get promoted from the 2nd division and their success in their league season in the 1st division.
Do more changes lead to better results because you need to buy players of higher quality? Do less changes lead to better results because the players know each others already? Is there absolutely no correlation whatsoever?
This is how I have decided to measure the gravity of the changes made to the team: I picked the 16 players with the most minutes played in the season in 2nd tier and added together the minutes these players played in the following season in the 1st division. The result I would then divide through all minutes of all players played (38*90*11) and so I got a figure between 0 and 1. The closer the stat is to 0.0 the more changes were made to the team and vice-versa with the proximity to 1.0. To keep it simple I'll call this figure from now on the "minute-stat". The actual stats I got for the teams ranged from 0.16 to 0.84 Also to shorten things I will from now on call the 16 players also "key players".
I did it for all the 5 big european leagues separately and computed scatterplots with the x-axis the ranking in the 1st division and the y-axis the minute-stat. It includes all teams that were promoted from 2010/11 until 2022/23. The limits for the y-axis are the same for all graphs.

The line is basically perfectly even, so there's no correlation to derive. Let's look at the outliers: The dot on the right bottom is Córdoba 14/15, their approach to turn everything topsy-turvy didn't work out as they still came last in the table. They actually kept 10 of their 16 most fielded players of the prior season but only 1 of them was relevant enough for them to play more than 1400 minutes in LaLiga. They loaned lots of players with arguable LaLiga quality like Nabil Ghilas, Rene Krhin, Bebé, Fede Cartabia, Bruno Zuculini, Fausto Rossi, Héldon. 3 managers and 38 games later, they have won only 3 games, scored just 22 goals and were relegated with 15 points backlog to safety.
The other dot that stands out is the one on the very top. 83% of the minutes in the LaLiga season of Real Sociedad 2010/11 have gone to key players from 09/10. It's the 2nd highest percentage of all teams across the 5 leagues from 10/11 - 21/22.

Unlike LaLiga here is a clear tendency visible: Teams which make fewer changes to their team after getting promoted tend to do worse on average. But I should note we have an artifical outlier here who skews the regression line. Why "artificial"? Because the dot on the very left represents AS Monaco 14/15 and they spent 160 million euros (on Falcao, James Rodríguez, João Moutinho, Kondogbia,...) which no other promoted team in Ligue 1 could ever realistically afford. However, even if we take them out of the plot the line is still ascending, but a bit less steep, of course.
Btw: Randomly, for the first 11 seasons of the 13 looked at no promoted side ever finished as 17th or 18th - usually places often occupied by these teams. However this season Auxerre and Ajaccio finished on these 2 ranks and last season Clermont as 17th.

There are notably less dots on this graph because Bundesliga has a promotion play-off between 16th and 3rd which in the majority of the time is won by the 16th of the 1st division. The line is just slightly ascending but if we take Leipzig (the dot on the very left), who are just like Monaco somewhat of an artificial outlier, out of the equation the line would be ascending at a higher rate.
The highest dot represents Hasenhüttl's Ingolstadt 15/16 who gave 80% of their minutes to key players of the prior season they have comfortably stayed up that season.
There's one dot that is by far lower than the rest of the pack, meaning this team have changed the most around in their team after the promotion. It didn't work out for them because they immediately went down again as second-to-last. The dot is representative of Schalke in the season which just ended, so just like in the next league we will review the team which is responsible for the lowest dot of the graph is one that got promoted in the 2021/22 season...

https://preview.redd.it/wqd765ue4s4b1.png?width=1112&format=png&auto=webp&s=fc186dcb202c2c923bd44a2eb553d8bc24ce4989
This is the only league in which the line is clearly descending. It's also well visible that all 7 teams with a minute-stat well below 0.50 ranked among the last 5 in the league. Only teams with a figure of 0.50 or more managed to rank in the safe midtable-zone.
As just suggested the team with the lowest dot also played in the current PL season and to the surprise of absolutely nobody it's Nottingham Forest who brought in around 30 new players after they have been promoted. While they did rank low in the table, like all other Championship promoters in the 12 seasons prior to them who changed a lot to their teams, they managed to finish outside of the bottom-three and stay up, unlike Schalke.
But that keeping your team together as well as possible doesn't necessarily have to be a successful formula either display the two highest dots in the graph which are both at the right end and consequently got relegated. The teams we are talking about are Norwich City 19/20 (0.84) and Burnley 14/15 (0.80). Daniel Farke actually fielded all 16 key-players in the Premier League, the only such occasion in the 13 PL seasons. Every single one of them played at least 585 minutes as well so realistically you really can't get much higher than that in that stat and it's also a record-high across the 13 seasons and all 5 leagues.

At last, the hardest league for promoted teams, the Serie A. The line's perfectly even but what is still noticable is that all the dots are further to the left than in the other leagues.
We have a few huge outliers we want to look at. The team at the top worlds apart from the rest with 0.76 is Sarri's Empoli of 14/15, he kept 15 of the 16 key-players more than any other Serie A team in consideration.
On the right-bottom with a record-low of 0.16 Benevento 17/18, just like Córdoba they went down as 20th and with 21 points collected they were very far from safety too. 14 Matchdays into the season they even on their course to a season with zero points until they drew 2-2 against AC Milan tanks to a last minute header of their goalkeeper.
The only team to finish in the one-digit zone after promotion is Ivan Juric's Hellas Verona in 19/20.

These are the averages for ranking and the minute-stat of promoted teams for the different leagues:
LaLiga: 14.8 - 0.51
Ligue 1: 14.7 - 0.52
Bundesliga: 13.0 - 0.60
Premier League: 15.3 - 0.58
Serie A: 16.4 - 0.45
Serie A is both the hardest league for promoted teams as well as the league in which these teams make the most changes to their squad after their promotions. It was said a few times that in the PL season which just ended all 3 promoted club stayed up, well in the Serie A this is yet to happen since 2010/11 (Serie A is the only league where that's the case). Teams who go up from 2. Bundesliga and Championship keep their squad together the most.
I already mentioned that Daniel Farke kept all his key-players at Norwich after winning the Championship 18/19, I also want to reveal the other 3 such cases: Sporting Gijón 15/16 (stayed up as 17th), Espanyol 21/22 (went down the first time in ages if not ever, so I guess it makes sense, they kept their squad together, they became 14th that season), Sankt Pauli 10/11 (like Norwich, they went down without a chance, ranking last).
No promoted team in Ligue 1 even kept 15 key players, the most was 14 by 6 teams.
On the other hand, this is the team that kept the fewest key players:
Deportivo Alavés in 2016/17, they only granted 6 out of the 16 players minutes in the 1st division. They still got a relatively high minute-stat of 0.33 because all of the 6 players got lots of minutes to play. Alavés strengthened their team in Summer 2016 with the likes of Marcos Llorente, Theo Hernández and Deyverson and surprisingly ended the season as 9th which is the 4th best league finish for a promoted team in Spain in the space of time I looked at.
Alavés is tied with Nottingham Forest 22/23 who also kept only 6 key players.
All PL teams (except Nottingham) kept at least 9 of their 16 key players, all Bundesliga teams even kept at least 10 of the 16 key players except Stuttgart 17/18 who still kept 9.
Bologna 15/16 and Metz 16/17 (both stayed up as 14th) kept just 7 of them.
I eventually threw all the teams from the 5 leagues together in one plot and this is the result.

The upwards and downwards trends of the leagues balance each other out and make for an even (slightly descending) line.
The graphs were made with Microsoft Excel, the minutes played taken from transfermarkt.de, let me know your feedback.

2023.06.08 13:29 Intelligent_Guest_73 My therapist was let go with no warning

I feel kinda numb. But also very hopeless. Last month, my therapist let me know she was let go. It was jarring that she had to give me the heads-up before the front desk at the provider group did, which was very late in the day prior to my appointment. (I get therapy on Wednesdays; my therapist told me she was fired on Friday, front desk reached out late the following Tuesday with no transition plan. ) I’m so surprised they sat on this and didn’t let me know until the last minute. My therapist, bless her heart, at least told me in advance, but the point is this was horrible news overall.
I needed time after that interaction but came back 2 weeks later, and I’ve voiced my concerns about continuity of care and how there seem to be no plans to get me back in the rotation. I feel like I tend to cut things off when situations get wrong, so I made a good-faith effort in trying to be added back. But they seem to have no problem letting me fall through the cracks. I think I’m ready to terminate my relationship with this practice, but here’s my ask:
I wanted to know what I should do or request before I formally stop using their services?
I am trying to avoid going in quick and dry in someplace new. Is there anything in a place where the last place fills in the gaps with all the preliminary stuff? I struggled with communicating my needs, and I made so much headway. I'm just afraid of starting completely over again…but I don’t trust this place for many more reasons that I don’t care to get into, and this is pretty much the last straw.
Outside of researching new places that take my insurance, what else can I do?

2023.06.08 13:29 OneWayUnicorn Supporting other player with Reckless Assault

How does Reckless Assault work as support card?
It states that "you have to have 3 or fewer sanity to be able to play this card". So do I have to have 3 or less sanity and the other character can have maximum sanity (for example)? Or can I support with the card if I have over 3 sanity, and the other has 3 or less?
