I have noticed that one of the first messages in the command window after starting the training is ""No caption file found for xx images. Training will continue without caption for these images". Needless to say that the caption TXT. files are in the training folder because they were copied with the "Prepare training data" button in the GUI. Can anyone please tell me what happened here and how to fix this?

I have just received my Rokid Max and my first impressions are mixed.
First of, I wasn't expecting more than a screen pegged to my face, which is what I got, so no disappointment on that front, it does exactly what I expected.
Then, the image is sharp, I was worried I would not be able to read text in VScode and I definitely can very sharply see that text, no worries. I did edit music sheets in Guitar Pro, model a small object with ProBuilder in Unity, write a bit of Golang in VScode, no issue whatsoever, all are doable and am very happy with that as it means I can do anything I usually do on my computer with these glasses on ...
BUT...
I definitely experience blurry edges, I can't read anything in any corner, not to mention that there is not one position I can put the glass in which allows me to correctly view the screen in its entirety, I have to readjust them on my face constantly when looking at the top of the screen or the bottom of the screen.
I think they are just perfect for watching shows or playing video games, where it's not a big deal if sides are a bit blurry or cut, but for text this is very very annoying.
I will try to play with nose pads adjustments and some of the hacks people have shared to improve experience, I don't intend to return them because I still see value in being able to isolate myself with netflix or a switch when my son is attempting to get asleep near me, but sadly that's just a portion of what I intended to use these for, I can see how doing my other tasks is kinda doable but also frustrating with the blurry edges issue.

• I opened a card from a different set in my booster pack, is this unusual?

Don't worry, this is completely normal. If you opened a set booster, you have a small chance of obtaining a bonus card from a previous set. This is an extra card that does not replace any of the other cards in your pack, and is from a curated set of past hits that Wizards of the Coast has selected, which they call "The List".

• My foil card has a shooting start symbol over the bottom left. I can't find anything about it online.

All old-bordered foils have the shooting start symbol. Most sites that display card images just overlay a generic foil graphic over all foil cards, which doesn't include the shooting star. Your card is normal.

I am looking to to add a military patch as a sort of 'logo' on a product. My experience with CAD software is fairly limited to a SolidWorks design class I took in 2014. I am currently using OnShape to design my product, and I know I can import an image and trace it but I was curious if there was a better way to get a trace than by hand. Thanks for any help/recommendations!

preface: I want to be clear before I get into this that I am in no way attempting to diminish the 15/70mm format. I am a fan of the format myself, and I only wish that we can be clearer and think more about our thoughts on the subject.
it's clear that a lot of people are excited about oppenheimer and its 15/70mm presentation, and a lot of discussion has been sparked because of this. This is great, but I'm seeing quite a few mentions of the apparently "18K resolution" of the format. My big question is: what's the source for this number?
also TL;DR - I haven't seen any actual evidence so it'd be nice if I could see some if not can we stop using this number and anyway the resolution just isnt the big thing about 15/70mm i think so using it is as the main way we present why 15/70mm is better feels disingenuous.

The source

I've looked around a bit, and found no real evidence. everything about 15/70mm itself points to basically nothing. the closest ive found simply invokes "maths" and 35mm (without any mention of what that maths is).
Looking into 35mm then, estimates are all over the place, and rightly so because not all film stock is created equal. The closest thing to a source I found was through wikipedia, which points to a book, which suggests 20MP (like ~5-6K). except, the book only mentions it's an "estimate" with zero evidence.
but 5-6K is what's parrotted around the most.

Diminishing returns

Ok, so if we assume that 35mm is ~5-6K. then assuming the resolution scales linearly with frame size (which we don't know if it does or not), that puts 15/70mm (assuming a 35mm frame width of 22mm and a 15/70mm frame width of 70mm) somewhere between 16-19K. so the maths does work, sort of.
but does that even matter? I'm assuming most of you are familiar with the fact that there are diminishing returns with resolution. I'm convinced that in a lot of home viewing situations, 4K is a bit overkill (although note there are notable improvements to the display tech outside of pure resolution).
In the cinema, however, yes 4K is totally warranted. but what about going higher? I think at that point gains are minimal. obv that partially personal preference, but in my experience, the detail difference between 4K digital and 15/70mm is just not really all that noticable. the big difference comes from stuff that has nothing to do with resolution and

Aliasing

Aliasing is basically when you see the pixels on an edge in the image. its mainly noticable because all the pixels are the same size and in the same place every single frame. Aliasing is an inherently digital artifact, and it is I think the big issue with digital. Except its barely an issue at 4K.
like the only reason youre seeing aliasing at 4K is because of an edge case. the sony logo is where ive kinda noticed it before on some bigger screens. because the sony logo is unnaturally sharp. but aliasing is super rare at these resolutions in general because the real world is not infinitely sharp. so when you're capturing that, aliasing isnt really a problem.
But, I mean, film kind of doesnt suffer from aliasing regardless so I think even if 15/70mm was 4K equivalent it'd be fine.
But teh detail! ah yes, the detail.

Wait, do details even get that small?

Think about it. Properly. Beyond a certain point, detail becomes effectively indistinguishable from high frequency noise. Not to mention that said small details are going to be so physically small on screen that you probably won't see them if you're focusing hard.
So increased resolution, becomes less a thing about capturing detail, and more about stuff like sharpness, which I've already mentioned also has a limit.

Why are you focusing on that anyway?

Ok, lets say that 15/70mm captures a bunch more sharpness and detail than 4K. What do you focus on when you're watching the film? Obv everyone experiences films differently but like, are you really looking at that stuff the whole time? are you not, you know, watching the film? focusing on the story, the characters, the overall frame composition, the music, the tension? if you're not, imo, you're missing the point of the film.

Why is this even a big deal?

I'll admit, part of the reason I bring this up is because I'm a bit of a hyper nerd about stuff like this. I can sometimes be quite rigourous about these details because I find it interesting and this is a detail that is so pervasive that I can't really avoid it, at least here it seems. I mean if anyone has concrete evidence, I'd be a happy girl, but until then, I'm skeptical.
I think we need to be realistic about stuff like this. this community is very set on championing 15/70mm, which I'm all for, it's an amazing format. but the 18K number, especially considering the seeming lack of evidence, feels... disingenuous. like people just want others to agree that 15/70mm is better and so point to this supposed factoid about its resolution as a means to quickly compare it to digital and attempt to say how much better 15/70mm is.
but like, I don't think the resolution is even the point of 15/70mm for me. its the fact that you know youre watching something physical, the subtle instability, the specs of dust that you see across the frame, and of course the 1.43:1 aspect ratio. I recognise that a lot of that is qualitative and hard to use in a discussion about why you think 15/70mm is better, but y'all are hyping the resolution up too much. its nice, but not that amazing.

Egg here, Like the title says.... I have lots of reasons to dismiss these thoughts, but I AM aware that my father demonstrated an undesirable image of manlyness, and my mom, who I had a codependent relationship with (and often took on the worldviews of) hated/distrusted men. I often wonder if that's all this is. I feel uncomfortable Steins most cis men, and connecting with them, and what if this all goes back to something like I am a man and am just uncomfortable with that part of myself. I don't think that would be enough to explain years of being uncomfortable being seen that way, and thinking I should have been a girl fl when i was like 5/6, but I also mirror uncontrollably when i connect with people, and only feel comfortable connecting with women, so it gives me pause.
Is that enough to explain feeling disconnected accomplishment with achieving maleness, and total squwezing euphoria when i am seen/treated fem, and always making "jokes" for 20 years about being "a lesbian trapped in a man's body", talking about going on hormones to everyone in my early 20's "Just to understand women's experience", and thinking about it all the time now?
I know what I want the answer to be, and what I don't want it to be. I -want- to find out I'm trans, and I DO always doubt my desire, and meet it with suspicion.
Does anyone here relate to these doubts? What are your take takes?
