Hi! I've finally been able to stick with the game and not get stressed out about it and ditch it for something less depressing, but now I have QUESTIONS! I'd appreciate any help/advice/etc. but of course don't worry if you ain't got the time or energy!
For all of these things I've done extensive reading on the Wiki and tried ye olde googele but couldn't find a reliable answer, or any at all.
1) I keep reading that it's better to purge negative quirks via Cove runs, and I understand that both the Coral and that one generic altar thingy can show up there, however I'm not seeing a lot of them and I feel like I gain negative quirks faster than I can purge them this way. Anything else I need to do? Any team comps for this in particular?
2) For leveling up, quirk purging, quirk farming and gold farming via Anti I feel like it would be really nice to be able to build 3-person squads that you can just slot a 4th into, be it the Anti to farm gold or whoever you wanna purge/farm/level. Is that viable, are there 3-person combos that can do that?
3) I discovered that any setup with Jester and a strong healer, ideally Vestal, can just go on mission after mission with no breaks (unless diseased), because we'll be full health/no stress after every fight. This of course also helps by meaning you won't be getting negative traits as often on the postgame. With most other comps that don't have a Jester, I can only do a few runs before they need to calm down in the hamlet while I take a different party in. Any alternatives to Jester in general and Jester+Vestal in particular?
4) Inventory woes. I'm doing mostly short, with a few medium runs, prolly only done a single "long" so far. Loot piles up so fast, even without Anti! Any favorite strategies anyone wants to share, regarding loot/provisions/inventory management?
5) I've got some Level 3 and 4 heroes now, almost exclusively from running short and medium apprentice missions. Sooner or later I will want to (and have to) move on to Veteran and I am scared. Any advice on how to prepare for that? Also, am I wasting my time doing so many apprentice runs when I'd get more out of Veteran runs in the same amount of time?
5b) Will Shieldbreaker's nightmares get harder if they occur in a Veteran mission? iirc some of them will not appear before Veteran, but assume I've never completed one of her nightmares and I get her first one in a Veteran mission, will the snakes be more buff than if it would have appeared in an Apprentice mission?
6) I've got all the DLC except for CC active, because I was told for a 1st-timer, starting out with CC might be a bit much. I've also not touched the Farmstead yet, as I read that once you do the first mission, things start happening. As spoiler-free as possible: when should I start going to the Farmstead and should I save CC for a 2nd playthrough, or add it to this one at some point?
7) Do I miss out on any story by playing on Radiant, or is it just achievements I'm missing? I want to see as much story as possible (Journal pages are the highest priority loot for me :P) but I'm not too fussed about 100%ing the Steam achievos. Too many games, too little time.

I played (& loved) Zero years ago, and just finished Kiwami 1's story mode yesterday (I still have to go back to finish Majima Everywhere, but I can't for the life of me find Idol Goro anywhere), so when I saw that K2 was on a major sale today, I went right onto it.
WOW.
Going in blind from 1 to 2 is absolutely insane. The engine change (and subsequent massive performance drop lol) is what took me most by surprise, but also the fact that there don't seem to be combat styles anymore (pain. i kept accidentally drawing the switchblade when I wanted to go in rush mode), Kamurocho feeling and looking so much more lived-in, the UI itself facing a huge overhaul and minor things like adding waypoints now being a thing. It's also insane how you don't have to go to a payphone to save anymore, and to see Kiryu take selfies is just bizarre.
I'm hyped - despite being same old Kamurocho, this feels a whole new world.

It’s February 1, 2023, and I just arrived in Tamale, Ghana last week.
I'm working in communications at an event that's meant to start at 8:30; I come at 8:20, not realizing the event won't start for several hours. 🤣
Luckily, Faiza Majeed is here. She’s small in stature and caught up in her work, so I mistakenly peg her as quiet and shy as she bustles through the conference room with a camera or a recorder or a note pad.
She’s on top of everything (including helping me figure out what I’m supposed to be doing) so we don’t really get a chance to chat until there’s a break.
“I make documentary films,” she tells me, almost immediately, destroying my image of her as a wallflower. “I made one about a blind family, can I show you some pictures? But they’re disturbing.”
She starts to show me photos of the family, and the home that they lived in, and my heart sinks. I resolve to help, and, when I watch the documentary later that night, my resolve deepens. (You can watch it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFPaunIT5K8).
The mother, Konlan Languur, was born blind. Her father “gifted” her to her husband, with the hopes that she would have a child who would one day be able to look after her. The oldest child, Yennuyar (who was 11 when she filmed, but is now 13) fulfilled that role - cleaning the house, collecting firework, cooking the food, and walking miles for water. As you can imagine, Yennuyar never got a chance to go school (yet he still dreams of becoming a teacher!).
Konlan’s other 3 children were born with vision problems, and they all struggle. The family survives on the generosity of neighbors and leftovers from the mill floor. They often go hungry. 😭
Since Faiza met the family, an aid organization was able to visit and do a preliminary assessment of their vision; they believe there’s nothing to be done, except treat them preventatively for glaucoma. There’s another project underway to get them a more thorough diagnosis.
In the meantime, rainy season is here, and their roof is leaking - badly.
Faiza and I talked about getting the thatch roof repaired, but that would require maintenance. So we’d like to build them a home that will last longer - a traditional mud home, but with a sturdy iron roof.
She got a quote for 6,040 cedis / $750 CAD / €500 - but of course, there’s so much more that can be done.
So here are our fundraising targets:
🏠 7000 cedis / $850 CAD / €600 - build a sturdy, 2 room mud home, with iron roof (plus incidentals, like transportation and bank fees. Any leftover goes to the fam.)

Does anyone else agree that the biggest issue above all else is the hygiene? Why are dog owners lying to themselves? I truly think the love they have for their dogs overcomes the desire to have a clean home. I come from a culture where we don’t wear shoes in the house, and am absolutely baffled when people dont wipe their dogs paws and just let it walk all over the floor while US HUMANS are removing our shoes to now step on the shit, dirt, asphalt infested floors. If the owners don’t wipe their asses after a shit, WHY are they cool with them ever sitting on their furniture??? Or anything? When they have a backyard, the dog will roll in the grass they piss and shit on, then they let them in bed with them?? The constant sweat then letting them rub on beds and sofas? They’ll never brush their dogs teeth but share saliva??? Even if you brush its still not enough, all of them lick their unclean assholes. Don’t even get me started on the fur and how airborne it gets. I just don’t understand how dog owners aren’t bothered, it feels like everything is covered in shit, fur, dandruff and bacteria. Are they choosing to ignore?

Ik this sounds kind of petty but he works in pest control and sprays poison and walks around in roach and bedbug infested dwellings every day.
I have gotten a rash from sitting on our couch before because he will leave his dirty jacket or shirt there. He gets rashes from resting his arm against the side door when it's sunny out and he has the window down in the work truck. He apparently does not care that much about the way it's affecting him and while I wish he would it's also inconsiderate to me and anyone else that comes over.
I have discussed this with him many times, both in passing comments and more direct talks, asking him to get work specific boots and not wear them inside, take his work clothes off before sitting down on the couch or bed, I even helped him clean his truck out when he didn't really want to.
He knows these sprays are dangerous, he cannot treat a place until every animal and person is out and stays out for at least 4 hours. He talks about how gross the infested units are sometimes but it doesn't cross his mind how tracking that inside is also gross.
Tonight we were talking about stepping on cockroaches and the apparent myth that doing so will track their eggs in (something I have heard multiple times but is really hard to do I guess due to how their eggsacs work) and he made a comment about how he steps on roaches at work all the time, especially when he is spraying under appliances and they all come running out. My mood immediately changed and I was like "you need to buy work boots and not wear them inside". (He will wear his regular shoes which is also just had for his shoes but whatever)
I went on a rant about how his coworkers would probably think it's gross he is wearing them around the house, cockroaches carsy diseases and he knows that etc and he shut down then got defensive and tried to justify it because "he is used to working gross jobs" because he worked on a farm as a kid and I was like "that's fine but even people who aren't grossed out by shovelling animal poop probably don't wear their animal poop covered shoes and clothes around the house". He tends to internalize direct criticism due to his upbringing and while this time I was kind of clearly upset it's frustrating and feels like he doesn't listen or care the first 10 times I say something.
I don't want to make him feel bad because I love him, know he doesn't mean harm and changing habits is hard but I feel like I'm losing it sometimes with some of the stuff he does and thinks is normal and gently reminding doesn't seem to stick. He has ADHD and memory problems and I really try to be considerate but I have ADHD too and while I don't expect perfection it feels like he doesn't even try sometimes.
To be clear this wasn't a shouting match, we do not yell at or deliberately hurt eachother, but this was definitely an argument for a little bit and I was clearly in a frustrated mood. At the same time I don't think my frustration wasn't warranted because this is a legitimate health concern and more than anything I just want to figure out how to approach things like this productively.
When he gets defensive it normally plays out in a self deprecating way that I find frustrating sometimes because it feels like a copout in a way. I don't think it's intentional but like it's also not helpful to just be like that. More than anything I want honesty and brainstorming about why these things happen, how he feels about it and how can we productively work on or compromise about this together.
We ended up resolving the argument and having a good rest of the night before he went to sleep which I am grateful for but I am still just wondering how I can approach stuff like this more productively in the future. I know it's not all on me but I have a tendency to be really passive and let resentment build over certain things and I don't want to be like that because it's not helpful and I don't like getting frustrated with my partner or making him feel judged or bad.
Any ideas?lol or like anecdotes about resolving stuff like this would be really helpful. Also just wanna say aside from things like this (general messiness or differences in cohabitating) he is a wonderful and sweet man and the first person I feel has truly loved me in a healthy and supportive way and I have no intention of desire to leave him over something like this. I just want to make things easier because I know it's possible to come to a solution because we both love eachother and can work through it.
TL;DR my bf and I have different habits and opinions on cleanliness and I want to learn how to express my concerns in a productive way so we can come to compromised and solutions

This is probably gonna be lengthy because it’s been going on for awhile.
My (30F) husband (35M) has a relationship with a coworker that just makes my spidey-sense tingle.
For context, we've been together for almost 5 years and got in engaged in February 2020, right before Covid hit. And my husband started the job he is at now back in September 2020. He instantly clicked with one of the girls (he’s the only man in the office), let’s call her Molly, and couldn’t stand anyone else. At first, I had no issues towards her, not even when she mentioned to him that she was gonna “creep” my facebook. Or when she would just always compliment my eyebrows, only my eyebrows, asking whether I got them done, or I do them myself.
Flash forward to May 2021, and we were on vacation with my sister and her fiancé, starting to plan our destination wedding. The whole time we were out planning, he would be snap chatting her, and at one point he snapped a picture of my sister (we look nothing alike), and she asked him if it was his fiancé or her sister, which I thought was kinda weird for someone who said they were gonna creep someone’s social media, or just for the fact that I knew he showed her a picture of me before (our engagement photos) But it wasn’t weird enough I really thought anything of it.
In August 2021, I found out I was unexpectedly pregnant, so we decided to have our wedding a whole year early. In September 2021, I was hospitalized for 4 days, with an infection that if the antibiotics didn’t work and I ended up needing surgery, I would lose the pregnancy. 4 days I sat in the hospital by myself, even though he was off of work. My husband (then fiancé) only came to visit one of the days I was there, for a couple of hours, and the whole time he snap chatted Molly, and was asking me about my eyebrows, again. Didn’t even try to comfort me about the fact I had to turn my phone off because my family was bombarding me with messages of my dad’s infidelity.
We got married in October 2021, and it was a beautiful, last minute ceremony (I planned it all by myself without any input from him), that he really wanted to do before the baby came. Toward the end of October, we went to see a professional hockey game since my boss offered us tickets right on the ice by the team. As we were there, he was telling me one of his friends was also there, and he showed me a Snapchat his friend sent him. Once that Snapchat finished, it went back to his inbox of messages and I seen his coworker wrote him. He didn’t open it while I was looking, and I as turned my attention back to the game, out of the corner of my eye I seen him turn his phone away from my view and start typing. I didn’t say anything until a couple days later and I asked if this was something I should worry about and he assured me it was nothing, and that she was even trying to convince her boyfriend to have a baby so I literally had nothing to worry about. I expressed it was weird that she was had to “convince” her long time boyfriend to have a baby, especially at the time I was pregnant. But, I let it go thinking it was just my hormones.
After this, I noticed he would be texting her or snapping her, even more outside of work. He gets out at 4:30, and would sometimes be texting her until 8:30-9:30pm. Eventually in late November, we traveled to see his favorite football team,. I got him super good seats, that were expensive, for his birthday, booked a hotel, and we made a weekend of it. This time when I seen his Snapchat, I noticed they were best friends on there. And that was just a huge red flag for me.
The following night, after we got home, I asked him about her being his best friend on Snapchat and expressed how uncomfortable it made me, and expressed that I’ve had this feeling in the past and brushed it off and I was actually right about the situation. He told me I couldn’t take my past out on him. That he would never cheat on me. I asked him to delete her off Snapchat and only converse with her where the messages could be recorded (text message and g-chat at work). He said he would just delete his whole Snapchat account. Now, my husband is super outgoing and really likes his social media so this felt weird to me, and I told him it was strange he’d to go to such an extent for a coworker. I also told him I didn’t want him bringing her up to me at any time (he talked about her a lot). He also posted a picture of me to social media that weekend with a cowboy filter, mentioning “sometimes I’m his wife, sometimes a cowboy, but I’ll always be his baby mama”. Molly commented on the post and emphasized “always be your baby mama” with laughing emojis, which my husband reacted with a laughing emoji too. Even though I expressed in the past how I felt about being called his baby mama (I don’t like it), and one of the reasons he pushed to get married before the baby was born was because he promised his grandma he wouldn’t have a kid before marriage. I’m not only the mother of his child, but his wife, and by calling me his baby mama, he’s down playing my role in his life.
We got into an argument about it all and didnt talk for a few days. We work opposite schedules, so instead of going to stay with my parents and having to answer questions, I would avoid the times we would be at home together because I needed some space. Eventually he texted me to apologize, and said that I need to trust him. That he would never cheat on me. I told him no one thinks they’re gonna cheat, and he don’t know how he would react when put into that situation, but I would like him to avoid even being put into that situation where it’s a possibility since our bodies do have physiological reactions, and I have experienced that before personally. He told me he would delete her off Snapchat and only talk to her through text or g-chat so if I wanted to read the messages I could. That he never meant to make me feel like he was prioritizing her, and didn’t stop to think how he’d feel if the roles were reversed.
I never asked if he deleted her off Snapchat, I figured I should at least trust him to do what he says. But I have gone through his messages with her and most of it is innocent. There was one message where she took a screenshot of her conversation with one of the techs where she asked him to take her for a ride in his corvette, and she sent it to my husband and said “look who asked me out”. My husband asked her “isn’t he married”, and she responded “don’t tell anyone though”.
My husband knows I have gone through his phone, like he told me I could, but has made indirect comments about how nobody should go through their SO phone. Relationships are all about trust, etc. he also snap chatted me a picture of all the conversations he had going with the office girls on g-chat, and I noticed Molly’s history was turned off. I asked him if he knew this and he said “lol yeah”. After a few months of not bringing her up, and sneaking away to text her back instead of doing it in front me (like going to the bathroom, or stopping in the middle of walking to type), then he started to casually bring her back into our conversations again.
In April 2022 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. I had to have an emergency c-section, so once the baby came out, I told my husband to go with her and the nurses. A couple of weeks after, my gut told me to check his messages. I did and I seen he sent a picture of my baby to Molly 10 minutes after she was born, after he sent it in a group chat to his parents and sister. She got a picture before my parents and siblings. She got a picture while I was still cut open on the table and I didn’t even get to see my until 5 minutes after he sent Molly the picture. When I asked why he sent her a picture 10 minutes after she was born, he said “because she asked for one”. My baby was also born late at night. This was the hardest part to swallow. He only knew this girl for a year and half, and she was so important that she got pictures immediately? After the most important people of in his life? He didn’t even send pictures to his best friend that he’s been friends with for over 20 years, until late the next morning.
While I was on maternity leave, his manager asked him to work a half hour later to close on the days his “bff” (what his manager called Molly) had to close. I told him this made me uncomfortable, them being alone for a half hour, and that his manager knew he wouldn’t say no to closing just because it was with her. This entire 1st year of postpartum, I definitely feel like we’ve grown apart in our relationship. Of course we’re navigating being new to parenthood, but it just seems like he’s always angry with me. Making snide remarks. Giving me dirty looks. And still just coming home talking about Molly.
I finally got to meet Molly at his work holiday party, and it was completely awkward. Not only did she barely say hi to me, she almost didn’t even shake my hand i had extended out to her, but her boyfriend treated my husband coldly (he normally makes friend with everyone, anywhere he goes). We put our jackets to sit by them, and went around to mingle some more, and she let someone move them so we couldn’t sit by them, and then they ended up leaving extra early. The vibes were just totally off.
The most recent incidence was he was talking to our daughter, and I was listening and made a comment about something he said and he told my daughter that I’m always eavesdropping and reading. I asked what he meant, and he said “you know, since you read through my messages”, and I told him to ask me the last time I went through his messages, so he did, and I told him that I haven’t since a couple weeks after my baby was born. He said this was shocking and he didn’t know if it was a good thing or not that I trust him.
This also isn’t the first issue we’ve had over a coworker. At his previous job, I seen him messaging a coworker talking stuff about me and how he didn’t think I would be helpful after construction was done in our house. When I confronted him, he cried and begged me not to leave him. He even stopped talking to her. Which makes his reaction with this situation regarding Molly more suspicious to me.
I can’t tell if I’m going crazy, or if my husband has feelings for Molly. He’s also had conversations with her mom (says she calls the office). Writes on her Facebook wall about random things teasing her (which is his love language). I feel like he treats her the way he treats me and he shouldn’t be treating anyone else like he treats me. He even talks to her more than me. And most times we talk, it’s about the care for our daughter. Even when we’re intimate, he seems different than he did before meeting her. I feel like I’ve been going outta my mind the last year trying to make sense of this, holding resentment. And I just don’t feel comfortable to keep bringing it up, and having the same conversation again. So here I am on Reddit, looking for advice on my situation

Hi all! Looking for some advice to help myself and our dogs. I will preface with a bit of background. When I was about 8 I was attached by a large dog and bitten several times. After that, I was terrified of dogs - would cross the road to avoid any interaction at all, and sometimes would avoid going for a walk on my owns street for fear of free roaming dogs. This all came to an abrupt halt when I met my partner (we've now been together 10 years) who had two dogs - a Newfoundland/Labrador Cross and a LabradoSpringer Spaniel cross, both four years old. I figured that if I wanted to be with my partner I had to be okay with dogs, and he was an angel in introducing me and them at just the right pace. Now, our remaining dog (LabxSpaniel) is my absolute best friend and I wouldn't trade him for the world.
We had been considering another dog for quite some time, and last week our local SPCA called with what seems like a perfect match. About 1 year old, Labrador mix, with a leg injury which prevents him from going on long walks or engaging in much rambunctious play, which for our senior dog is pretty perfect. He has mostly recovered from the injury - requires simple physio exercises every day which he is very good about doing.
We did a dog meet and the SPCA said it was a gold star meet - nobody was too interested in the other, no animosity, just a pretty chill meet. So we decided to go through with the adoption! We brought new doggo home yesterday and did a meet and walk on neutral ground, allowed the new dog to check out our house on leash while senior dog went for a solo walk with me, then introduced them inside the home with new dog on a leash all evening.
Senior dog is now showing some fear and annoyance. While new dog isn't meant to play much, he is still far more playful than our senior dog and was trying to engage yesterday a bit. Senior dog gave a bark and nip to get him to back off, and he did for a moment but then went right back. We separated them, keeping new dog on a leash with us downstairs and senior dog free to go where he chose - he chose to stay upstairs away from us, which is incredibly unusual for him. For sleeping, we put new dog in a crate (with very minimal complaints) in our bedroom, and senior dog for the first time since I've known him chose to sleep on his bed in the living room.
Clearly senior dog is unimpressed and doesn't want to be around the new dog. I also recognize that it has been less than 24 hours and this is not necessarily indicative of how it will go forever. Mostly looking for some advice to make senior dog more comfortable, still feel included and wanted, and to hopefully bring him to a level of tolerance if not friendship with new dog. Also, any tips for helping new dog get the hint that senior dog doesn't want to play, and to calm him down when he is in that playful mood as it can affect his previous injury. Just feeling a teeny bit overwhelmed and apprehensive.

Heatwave groaned as she rolled over, careful to mind the crow nestled in the cook of her neck. "Everything sucks" she mumbled to herself. A few interesting tasting plants and some very hot stones had eased the freezing pain in her side, but it was still there, a constant cold burning sensation.
It wasn't even her fault that it happened! one minute she was trotting into the prey centre, happy as can be to finally get some food, and the next she was being blasted with frost. The Icewing had apologized about a hundred times since Heatwave woke up, and turned out to be pretty cool (pun not intended) so she held no grudges.
What she did hold, though, was guilt. Heatwave had panicked before she lost consciousness in the prey centre, and stung a dragon with her barb. She knew it was fairly weak venom inside, but it induced a horrible burning sensation that could immobilize someone for a day or so. Atoll, the Seawing that was hit, took it pretty well and they became besties in seconds.
Atoll was just like her personality wise, though she was a bit of a pushover. Heatwave would make sure she was treated right, considering this was the first dragon she told about her narcolepsy and Atoll seemed not only unbothered but happy to give her a talon incase she needed it.
The crow on her neck gave a low reply to her voice, tickling her. She giggled softly. This crow belonged to a training nurse, and was an absolute sweetheart. "I'm hungry" Heatwave huffed, shuffling to get up. Currently, it was late. Between dinner and bedtime, probably, though she couldn't be bothered to guess. The other injured dragons on her left were sleeping.
She sighed, managing to hoist herself up. the Hybrid hated just sitting and doing nothing, even if it was painful to do anything else. What if i used some bandages to wrap the hot stones to my scales? that might work. With a nod, she got to work.
As Heatwave searched for bandages and picked out the hottest stones, her crow friend sitting in her current sleeping pile, she reminisced on the dodgy fixes she used to make up at home. Home. The sandy orphanage in a rusty old town. She missed chasing the rats there. They had gotten smart and were constantly making the chase fun, unlike the ones at JMA.
What she missed most was her brother. Whisked away to be some sort of servant in a manor house who knows where. She hoped he was ok there, that it was fine, even though he was taken against his will. Heatwave worried about him a lot, hoping her letters got through, that he could come visit for the first time.
"Done!" she whispered loudly, proud of her messy work. Heatwave took a step and a stone immediately dropped through the bandage and onto the floor. Cringing at the noise, she tucked it back in and tightened the wraps. It wasn't... ideal, but it helped with the pain a bit and she was tired of being lazy.
With a nod of confidence, she padded out into the hall. Heatwave felt scared as she walked, hoping to find the kitchens, or the prey centre, soon. Everything felt too dark, every tunnel too long. She felt like she was being watched, and any turn she took lead her further into nothing.
The small hybrid began to tear up after what felt like hours, surrounded by darkness with all her stones lost ages ago. She was in pain, and lost, and scared. Why did i do this? she asked herself, swallowing down the lump in her throat.
With a deep breath, she spoke, voice wavering. "Hello?"
