- Forming: Forming refers to the shaping and bending of metal sheets or parts to achieve desired shapes and angles. Common techniques include bending, rolling, and stamping.
- Joining: Joining involves connecting separate metal parts together to create a larger structure. Welding, soldering, and fastening methods like riveting and bolting are commonly used for joining metal components.
What is difference between fabrication and sheet metal? The main difference between fabrication and sheet metal lies in their scope and application. Fabrication refers to the overall process of creating structures or products from various materials, including metals. It involves cutting, shaping, and assembling multiple components to construct the desired item. On the other hand, sheet metal specifically refers to the type of metal used in fabrication. Sheet metal is a thin and flat piece of metal that can be easily shaped and manipulated. It is commonly used in fabrication processes due to its versatility and malleability. In summary, fabrication is the broader term encompassing the entire process of creating structures or products, while sheet metal is a specific type of metal often utilized in fabrication due to its formability. What are the steps involved in sheet metal fabrication? The steps involved in sheet metal fabrication typically include: - Design: Create a detailed design or blueprint of the desired product or component.
- Material Selection: Choose the appropriate type and thickness of sheet metal for the project.
- Cutting: Use cutting tools such as shears, laser cutters, or plasma cutters to accurately cut the sheet metal into the required shape or size.
- Bending: Utilize press brakes or other bending equipment to bend the sheet metal along predetermined lines or angles.
- Forming: Employ techniques like rolling, stamping, or deep drawing to shape the sheet metal into more complex forms or contours.
- Joining: Join separate sheet metal pieces together using welding, riveting, soldering, or fasteners.
- Finishing: Apply surface treatments, such as grinding, sanding, or polishing, to achieve the desired appearance and smoothness.
- Assembly: Assemble the fabricated sheet metal components along with other parts to complete the final product or structure. These steps may vary depending on the complexity of the project and the specific requirements of the sheet metal fabrication process.

In a competitive business landscape, it's crucial to find unique ways to stand out and make an impression on your target audience. One effective method is to leverage the power of promotional items, and coffee mugs are a popular choice. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the world of bulk coffee mug printing and how it can help boost your brand visibility. So, grab a cup of your favorite brew and let's dive in! Benefits of Bulk Coffee Mug Printing Cost-effectiveness When it comes to marketing and promotions, cost is always a significant factor. Bulk coffee mug printing offers a cost-effective solution for reaching a wide audience. By ordering mugs in large quantities, you can take advantage of economies of scale and significantly reduce the cost per unit. This means you can distribute branded mugs to a larger number of people within your budget, maximizing your brand exposure. Wide reach and exposure Coffee mugs are practical and versatile items that are used daily by people in various settings, including homes, offices, and cafes. By printing your brand logo, message, or artwork on these mugs, you create a walking advertisement for your business. Each time someone uses the mug, they become a brand ambassador, spreading awareness and visibility wherever they go. Long-lasting promotional tool Unlike other forms of advertising that are fleeting, such as online ads or billboards, coffee mugs have a longer lifespan. With proper care, a well-printed coffee mug can last for years, constantly reminding the user of your brand. This extended exposure enhances brand recall and reinforces your presence in the minds of your target audience. Factors to Consider for Bulk Coffee Mug Printing When embarking on a bulk coffee mug printing project, it's essential to consider various factors to ensure the best outcome. Here are some key factors to keep in mind: Mug quality and material The quality and material of the coffee mug play a significant role in the durability and overall impression of your brand. Choose mugs that are made of high-quality materials like ceramic or porcelain, as they are durable and provide a premium look and feel. The size and shape of the mug should also align with your target audience's preferences. Design and customization options The design of your coffee mug should be visually appealing and aligned with your brand identity. Consider factors such as color schemes, typography, and imagery that reflect your brand's personality. Additionally, look for customization options offered by printing services, such as the ability to print on both sides of the mug or add individual names or messages for a personal touch. Printing techniques and durability Different printing techniques can be employed for bulk coffee mug printing, each with its advantages and considerations. The most common techniques include screen printing, sublimation printing, and heat transfer printing. Evaluate the pros and cons of each technique based on factors like color vibrancy, longevity, and budget to choose the one that best suits your needs. Designing Your Bulk Coffee Mugs Designing your coffee mugs is a crucial step in ensuring maximum brand visibility and impact. Here are some tips to create visually appealing mugs: Branding and logo placement Your brand logo should be prominently displayed on the coffee mug to ensure instant recognition. Consider placing the logo on both sides of the mug for increased visibility, especially when the mug is held by left-handed individuals. Positioning your logo at eye level ensures it gets noticed easily. Color choices and typography Choose colors that are consistent with your brand's visual identity. Vibrant and contrasting colors can make your design pop and attract attention. Similarly, select typography that is legible and complements your brand's tone and style. Avoid using too many fonts and keep the text size readable. Eye-catching designs and graphics To make your coffee mugs visually appealing, incorporate eye-catching designs and graphics. This can include patterns, illustrations, or even product images. The design should be visually engaging and create a positive association with your brand. Printing Techniques for Bulk Coffee Mug Printing Now that you have designed your coffee mugs, it's time to choose the appropriate printing technique. Here are three commonly used techniques: Screen printing Screen printing is a traditional method that offers excellent color saturation and durability. It involves transferring ink onto the mug through a mesh screen. This technique is best suited for designs with solid colors and bold graphics. Sublimation printing Sublimation printing uses heat to transfer ink onto the mug's surface. This technique produces vibrant and long-lasting prints that are resistant to fading or peeling. It is ideal for designs with intricate details or full-color images. Heat transfer printing Heat transfer printing involves transferring a design onto a special transfer paper and then applying it to the mug using heat and pressure. This technique allows for precise placement of the design and works well for complex designs or photographs. Finding a Reliable Bulk Coffee Mug Printing Service Choosing the right printing service for your bulk coffee mug printing is crucial for achieving high-quality results. Consider the following factors when selecting a printing service: Reputation and customer reviews Research the printing service's reputation and look for customer reviews or testimonials. A reliable service provider will have positive feedback and a track record of delivering satisfactory results. Quality assurance and samples Inquire about the printing service's quality assurance process. Ask if they provide samples or proofs before proceeding with the bulk order. This ensures you can review the final product and make any necessary adjustments before printing a large quantity. Pricing and turnaround time Obtain quotes from different printing services and compare their pricing. While it's essential to consider cost, also evaluate the overall value provided. Additionally, inquire about the turnaround time for bulk orders to ensure it aligns with your marketing timeline. Bulk Coffee Mug Printing for Brand Visibility Bulk coffee mug printing opens up various opportunities for increasing your brand visibility. Here are a few strategies to leverage the power of printed mugs: Distributing mugs as promotional items Give away branded coffee mugs as promotional items at trade shows, events, or as part of marketing campaigns. People appreciate useful items like mugs, and by associating your brand with a practical product, you create a positive impression and generate brand awareness. Using mugs for corporate gifting Coffee mugs make excellent corporate gifts for clients, employees, or partners. Personalize the mugs with the recipient's name or a special message to create a memorable and appreciated gift. This gesture fosters stronger relationships and serves as a constant reminder of your brand. Creating merchandise for sale Consider selling branded coffee mugs as merchandise through your online store or physical retail locations. This not only generates additional revenue but also allows your customers to become walking advertisements for your brand when they use the mugs. Increasing Brand Visibility with Bulk Coffee Mug Printing While bulk coffee mug printing is effective on its own, combining it with strategic marketing efforts can significantly boost brand visibility. Here are some additional methods to consider: Social media promotions Capture the attention of your online audience by running social media promotions involving your branded coffee mugs. Encourage users to share pictures of themselves using the mugs, tag your brand, and use relevant hashtags. This generates user-generated content and amplifies your brand reach. Events and trade shows Participate in industry-related events and trade shows and provide branded coffee mugs to attendees. This not only promotes your brand during the event but also extends its visibility when the mugs are used afterward. Consider hosting contests or giveaways at your booth to attract more attention. Collaborations and partnerships Collaborate with influencers, complementary businesses, or charitable organizations to create limited-edition coffee mugs. This helps expand your brand's reach to their respective audiences and fosters meaningful connections. Additionally, consider partnering with cafes or restaurants to have your branded mugs used as their serving vessels. Best Practices for Successful Bulk Coffee Mug Printing To ensure a successful bulk coffee mug printing project, consider the following best practices: Clear communication with the printing service Clearly communicate your design requirements, including colors, placement, and any specific details you want to highlight. Provide high-quality artwork or vector files to ensure the best printing results. Regularly communicate with the printing service to address any questions or concerns promptly. Testing and proofing the designs Before finalizing the bulk order, request a sample or proof of the printed mug. Carefully review the design, colors, and overall quality. Make any necessary adjustments or corrections to ensure the final product meets your expectations. Ordering in advance and planning for future campaigns Avoid last-minute rushes by ordering your bulk coffee mugs well in advance. This allows ample time for design revisions, printing, and shipping. Additionally, consider planning for future marketing campaigns to take advantage of cost savings by ordering larger quantities. Conclusion Bulk coffee mug printing is a powerful and cost-effective way to increase your brand visibility. By leveraging the practicality and longevity of coffee mugs, you can create a lasting impression on your target audience. Consider the various factors discussed in this guide, from mug quality and design to printing techniques and strategic marketing efforts. By making informed decisions and partnering with a reliable printing service, you can elevate your brand visibility and leave a lasting impression with every sip. submitted by ARCPrintIndia to u/ARCPrintIndia [link] [comments] |

2023.06.07 23:42 gsuberland Played a bunch of Astro Colony for the first time yesterday!
I bought this game yesterday after seeing Let's Game It Out playing around with it. I'm a big fan of factory games (I've got 1500 hours in Factorio and another 150 hours in Dyson Sphere Program) so when I saw that Astro Colony was kinda like "Satisfactory meets Raft meets Space Engineers", I was super excited. Bought it yesterday, played for far too long, next thing I knew it was 6am.
First up: this game looks great and runs smooth like butter. I cranked everything to ultra at 4K with a 2080Ti, it ran perfectly without a hitch. I'm on a workstation optimised for threaded workloads (2x 28c/56t CPUs @ 2.2GHz base) so my CPU is usually a bottleneck for games due to them typically wanting high single-core clocks, but you've either nailed support for lower clocks on single threaded loads or you're making very good use of thread pools for parallelism. Excellent work either way.
I'm also really glad to see a "mods" button in the menu already. Great move. A healthy modding community is what keeps factory games like this alive and interesting for years to come - I reckon there's more content in Factorio's overhaul mods (248k, Pyanodons, Krastorio, Space Exploration, etc.) alone than I think I could complete in a lifetime.
I think you also nailed the balance between exploration and factory building. The exploration just sorta happens naturally as you float through space or look for new resources, and doesn't take focus away from building stuff and progressing with technology. The abundance and distance of materials is also nicely balanced; this is something I personally didn't enjoy as much in Satisfactory and I think you did a better job of it.
Based on what I played, here's some feedback on stuff that I think could be improved, in no particular order:
The manual asteroid catchers are my least favourite part of the gameplay loop. They aren't fun enough to justify the amount of time you have to spend using them. I'd like to see them redesigned a bit to offer a wider panning range; perhaps even full 360° rotation. Restricting the catching direction doesn't seem to add anything to the challenge or balance and is mostly just an annoyance until you get automatic catchers up and running. I also think they could use a bit of balancing. I found that feeding input materials to just a couple of machines in the early game already needed enough catchers to occupy the majority of my time. One idea to alleviate the amount of babysitting might be to have the manual catchers be more efficient at getting materials out of the asteroids, so that they output a bit more stuff and don't need you to run back to them quite as frequently. You could still leave the automated catchers at the same output level so that it doesn't mess with mid-game balance, and explain the efficiency boost of the manual ones with some in-game flavour text like "non-automated asteroid catchers offer an improved yield due to manual identification of the highest mineral concentration veins in each captured asteroid". If you add a feature to put astronauts in the manual catchers in future, we could still get a bonus to yield, in exchange for having to feed the astronaut.
I found that using the Alt key to go vertically down was a little cramped. It's ok in a game like DSP where you're not heavily reliant on it for placement, but in a full 3D world it's somewhat awkward. Might be worth playing around with it to see if there's a better scheme. I wanted to bind scroll up/down to vertical movement, but it looks like this gets interpreted as the button being "pressed" for a single frame every time the scroll wheel changes value, so you don't actually move anywhere. Would be cool to have this option.
My reading of the controls is that Ctrl-RClick and Del are both supposed to delete stuff, but every time I tried Del it said that the object was locked. Deleting stuff with either input also doesn't seem to work in blueprints; it always says object locked. I'm not sure what a locked object is in this context. If I made a mistake in a blueprint I just ended up deleting it and starting over. Maybe I missed something? I also couldn't seem to rename blueprints - focusing the textbox was finnicky, and my typing kept being interpreted as control inputs.
The multi-select stuff could do with a tutorial early on in the game. The selection shader could also do with being turned down a notch so that it's more of a glow or outline instead of turning the object into an indistinct white blob.
I'd like to see radial menus for interacting with stuff instead of E or F keys having specific meanings for each thing. I'm also not a fan of E to get in, Q to get out, especially since Q is also bound to select/none. Just E for enteexit would be easier.
The tutorial bot works pretty well, but it does tend to stand a bit close sometimes. I also noticed that if you unlock a bunch of technologies at once, the tutorial bot picks one of the technologies to teach you about (the latest one? I don't remember) which might not be the one you're trying to work on at that point in time. It'd be helpful to have two new interaction options on the tutorial bot: one to tell it to stay put, so it rotates to face you but doesn't move, and another to show a selection box for switching the "active" tutorial to track objectives for.
On that note, the guidebook is a bit thin in terms of what it covers. I'm guessing you prioritised working on the tutorial bot to help get people into the game, which makes sense, but often I'll want to refresh my memory on something or read about things in a more high-level way than the tutorial bot offers, which is where the guidebook is super useful.
Pickaxe animations could do with a short delay after the type of object being targeted changes. Right now if you're digging out some quartz or other minerals on a planetoid, you only get a fraction of a second after it's mined out to release the button before you accidentally pickaxe the dirt and make a hole. Adding an additional 200ms delay if the target object type changes to dirt would solve this. Not a major issue but it'd be a nice QoL improvement for when you're clearing a space to plant a miner at a mineral patch.
Mineral patch generation on planetoids seems to be based on following the terrain surface. On planetoids with large terrain height gradients, this often leads to mineral patches with a large height variation, making it near impossible to place a large miner over them, and really inefficient to place smaller miners next to them. I worked around this sometimes by placing a large floor gantry above the highest point of the mineral patch, then sticking a large miner on top, but it looks kinda silly. I also ran into a couple of mineral patches where the minerals themselves (or dirt underneath) didn't seem to be registered as ground, causing certain squares to be marked as red and preventing miner placement without obvious cause. It might be worth reworking the mineral patch generator to limit the maximum Z-height delta within a patch, preferring to bury part of the patch underground rather than have it creep up a cliff.
Background music track transitions are a bit of an abrupt hard cut sometimes. Could benefit from some crossfade markers and level matching.
Thruster controls are kinda janky and I got thrown off the ship a few times. Defaulting to having the thrusters switched on when you place a control panel was, uh, a bit of a surprise! The control directions are also weird (which way is west? I'm in space!) and it'd be better if they were aligned with the direction of the control panel. I'm guessing the thrusters are a new feature that hasn't been fleshed out fully yet and will be improved in future.
All in all, I'd definitely say this was an above-average experience for an early access game, especially considering the small dev team. I'm really looking forward to the future of Astro Colony and I could definitely see it scratching the "what if Factorio was fully 3D" itch that Satisfactory never quite solved for me.

Errol, Vincent, and Avarice H are in the Firebreathing Kittens guild hall when Errol receives a package with a letter addressed to him. Vincent is stacking cards that attracts penny who manages to knock the castle of cards down. Errol alerts the other guild members to the package and letter. He opens the letter and reads it, it is a letter informing him that consent creameries is using spies to steal information and sabotage the Hestias Bestias brand potato chips and Moondollar companies at the Food and Beverage Konvention being held in Ježek. Errol then unwraps a wooden box containing three bright blue potions along with three convention passes and three train tickets. The group agrees to take the train to Jezek and when they arrive in front of the convention center Vincent downs one of the potions they were given. Errol and Ava cheers one another and follow suit. They make their way into the convention center and stop at the information desk where they discover a few locations of interest. The exhibition hall where there are booths for the companies, the garden where Consent Creameries is hosting a dog therapy session, and an employees only area. Being very sneaky individuals they decide to try and infiltrate the employees only area. Vincent disguises himself as security personnel and makes his badge green. Errol decides to attempt to distract the lone security guard watching the door. Errol strikes up a conversation with the young security guard named Doc and manages to charm him discussing the intricacies as working in security. Vincent manages to slip through making it seem like he left something inside. Meanwhile Ava sends Penny to sneakily hitch a ride on Vincent. Vincent looks around inside and fails to find security badges however he finds a small steelborn who is searching the lockers looking for something who stops what he's doing to eye Vincent warily. Vincent leaves thinking he has found nothing of interest but Penny stays to keep an eye on the steelborn.
Ava and Errol leave Vincent thinking he might be a minute to check out the dog therapy in the garden nearby. Once again Errol attempts to talk to someone trying to get information about consent creameries but something about him just makes the whole scene go haywire. Ava however, manages to get a small bit of information from the lawyer with whom Errol had been speaking. Vincent finally shows up hoping to get to pet some dogs, and a woman asks him to tell Ava to leave as she feels she is making the dogs go crazy. Vincent asks Ava to leave which she does and Errol follows after. As they are about to return Penny alerts Ava that the steelborn found the documents in the locker and Penny attempted to take them from him but the steelborn knocked her down and left quickly. Vincent has a flash of brilliance and realizes he can use the powers of the potion to go back to before the steelborn took the documents and take them from him. He does this but it only happens as a memory and the documents appear in his hand. He realizes he berated the individual and stressed him out to the point that he shut down. This makes Vincent feel very ill about his actions. Errol tries to console him by mentioning that by doing so he managed to prevent Penny being hurt. Avarice is impressed by Vincent's brutish behavior.
The party inspects the paperwork they found and learn that it is blueprints for a machine built by Tipsy and Tapsy Kegtinker, and there is a crumpled piece of paper saying to bring the documents to Dr. Ravenwood. Ava uses her powers to affect the past to learn the name of the lawyer with the kind dog who turns out to be Ramses Joyner. They decide to go give the paperwork back to Tipsy and Tapsy but quickly learn that they need tickets to enter the event. Errol uses his powers to influence Doc into giving him some tickets. His attempt succeeds but Doc asks him to find Jimmy Flowers the security guard who entered the Employees only area and accosted the steelborn, which was actually done by Vincent in disguise. Errol once again splits the party and lets Ava and Vincent visit Tipsy and Tapsy in the exhibition hall, while he looks for Jimmy Flowers. Vincent and Ava witness the coffee barista machine built by Tipsy and Tapsy almost malfunction, however, Ava uses her powers to influence the situation and Tipsy and Tapsy manage to fix the machine and give out samples of their coffee beverage. Ava spies a green dragonkin in the crowd looking flustered and she sends Mallum to pin him to his chair. Ava and Vincent use their powers together to solidly apprehend the individual and Ava threatens his soul in order to get information. He only knows that he, Valoom Kimbo, and a steelborn named Humboldt were supposed to be sabotaging the machine and stealing the plans respectively. Then Vincent gives the plans back to Tipsy and Tapsy in the form of Jimmy Flowers and tells them he stopped the steelborn from running off with the plans, they thank him heartily.
After this Errol finds Jimmy Flowers but as he arrives Doc has rounded up security and they have tackled Jimmy. Errol congratulates Doc and tells him that there is some foul plotting afoot and that perhaps he should question everyone involved before being too hard on Jimmy, and mentions that there are some people walking around impersonating others. The group reconvenes and decide to check the Hestias Bestias booth to make sure nothing sinister has happened there. They arrive and speak to Kin Korbin who tell them that Krista Bestia is away from the booth to speak to a Dr. Ravenwood, and that Dr. Ravenwood is a halfling who is fond of candy like licorice. The group plots to try and expose Dr. Ravenwood but decide they should at least go make sure that Krista Bestia is not in any danger. When they arrive they see Krista Bestia and Dr. Ravenwood speaking animatedly. Ava does not like Dr. Ravenwood and due to the circumstances feels that she deserves to be punished and uses her powers to cause the conversation to go sour. Krista Bestia walks off flustered and Errol approaches Dr. Ravenwood and offers her some licorice, she says it is very good and he tells her it was his mothers favorite. He then says I believe I am your son, my name is Errol Corvidbough. He then pulls out a sketched portrait of him as a toddler and his two parents and hands it to her. She is very surprised and tells him she is so sorry she had to leave, at this point Errol begins to confront her about the attempt to spy and sabotage other companies and she begins to look frightened and retreat. Errol attempts to make a Decklaration and change things so no one but him and his mother know about her wrong doing so he might let her escape unpunished to prevent her from being put in jail. Ava uses her powers to attempt to alter this by making it so his mother was never involved in the crimes from the start. The magic works and his mothers involvement in the plot is somehow nullified. Ava tells Errol that she owes him and she will figure out how at another time. Before they leave Ava tracks down her mentor Professor Edemir and she uses Penny to telepathically inform him of all of the terrible things Consent Creameries have been doing, her actions in putting their plot to an end impress him. Avarice then speaks to Errol and suggests that Errol repay her for her help by helping lead strangers who get lost in her home out from time to time. Errol nervously shakes her hand and agrees to the terms.

DESCENT
Descent is a free, 1-to-4 player game mode with semi-infinite and randomized progression, versus an infinite difficulty curve. Warlords of New York ownership is not required to access the mode.
Agents are stripped of all their gear, specializations and perks when starting the game mode. The mode is a playground where you can experiment with builds not feasible in the regular game, challenging them tactically and encouraging deeper understanding of the build meta. This AR training simulation at the NSA Facility was designed to test the limits of the Ortiz Robotics tech. Leave your gear and SHD tech behind to help Wally extract intel from the NSA database.
Access Descent from the Mega Map, Castle Settlement Door, Matchmaking Station, and Helicopter Pilot to activate the simulation. Equip weapons, skills and talents, take turns exploring rooms, defeat enemies, bosses and the ultimate opponent: the Nemesis.
