I just recently got into crypto and might have a few "stupid" questions, so forgive the ignorance lol. Did some google searches and couldn't come up with satisfactory answers to these specific questions and cases. Some of these might not even make sense or might seem naive lol.

- When you buy and sell BTC at an exchange (e.g. Coinbase or Gemini), can you expect to "lock in" that price the moment you click on buy or sell? Or will the final price be whenever the full transaction happens to complete (could be minutes or potentially a lot longer due to lags maybe caused by high traffic or other reasons)?
- When you buy BTC via ACH or wire, it supposedly takes a few days to officially clear. Obviously, it's understandable that that amount or anything profited with that amount can't be withdrawn back before then. But will they at least put it into your pending balance so that you don't waste time letting the money work in the meantime? Or are you completely in limbo until the funds clear? And if the funds are completely unavailable at all until clearing, are you at least still locked in at the BTC price when you clicked on buy, even though the price could be higher a few days later?
- Question about DCA (dollar cost averaging). This is assuming that you can lock in buy and sell prices the instant you click the button as mentioned in #1. It seems like DCA is the "safer" hands-off method of investing for the long term, especially when you're not sure where the bull peak or bear buttom is. But let's say for example, that it is universally agreed on that a bear market started a couple of months ago. And looking at historical data, bear markets have lasted at least 1.5 years or so. Instead of keeping all of your BTC and DCA'ing the whole way down at regular intervals, what's wrong with the strategy of selling all BTC to fiat immediately and waiting say around 6 months or even 1 year, before putting all that fiat you took out before plus all the DCA money you would have put in, back in via lump sum a little later on? If a bear market is going to last 1.5 years historically, the price of BTC 6 months or 1 year in (on average) should be lower than the average of all your buys, had you done DCA. If you put that lump sum (all the BTC you sold before plus all that DCA money) like 6 months later for example, wouldn't you in general get more bitcoin for your money? (I didn't suggest waiting 1.5 years since that's cutting it close and this bear run might end up being shorter, hence I used 6 months as an example to be "safe".) If this is true, then maybe you could do "strategic" buys every now and then, and just save the DCA strategy for when you're relatively close to a bull peak or bear bottom or whenever you're just completely uncertain, right? I've heard most people lose out on short-term trading, so please point out the flaw in my logic above and why it wouldn't work.
- Another quick trading example. Let's say that the BTC chart has been "horizontal" for a while. yet there is that normal volatility throughout each day. Assuming that you can lock in prices when you click buy or sell as mentioned in #1 and you're constantly monitoring prices throughout the day, what's wrong with selling the instant the price of BTC shoots up say $100, and conversely, clicking buy whenever the price dips? And then do this periodically, just making sure your buys are lower then the price you sold it for previously? You obviously can't do this daily since the whole thing with ACH/wire clearing delays as mentioned in #2, but maybe once or twice a week while we're all stuck in that "horizontal" period?
- Unless you are constantly trading daily and need the funds on the exchange for some reason, is it best practice to always transfer over your balance to a cold hardware wallet immediately after each buy, especially if you're in it for the longer term overall?
- If you already have a cold hardware wallet, is there any benefit or need for a hot wallet, like the Coinbase wallet for example?
- The principles above would apply to generally all other cryptos as well, correct?
- In the freak catastrophic event that big fat Uncle Sam blocks off all off-ramps from the exchanges to your USA bank (fiat) without any advance notice, how would one hypothetically transfer whatever is in your cold hardware wallet, to fiat that you can access? Would the only way be to transfer funds from your cold wallet to perhaps an offshore internationally-based crypto exchange, and then somehow figure out a way to get it back home? I assume this international crypto exchange account ideally needs to belong to a friend/family (someone you trust) living overseas. You would send your BTC from your cold wallet into their exchange account, then they would withdraw the funds into their local bank account, and then wire that fiat back home to you? Trying to imagine some worst case scenarios and proactively get ahead of them lol.

I have 160 WH. Usually always in yellow. I have 2 Blessing with at to 52.5%. On my WH, it will be +84% damage minimum all the time. I use 2 warp rod. Main damage Witchfire and Firestorm (just to fill the gap). Right click is warp blast. The character so far is not critical base.

- Force Weapon Mastery: When attacking with Psyker Weapons get 10% Damage Bonus for further attacks for 5 seconds. Stacks up to 10 times. (so 1st A. +10%, 2A +20%, +3A 30%... up to +100% if I keep attacking, break if I don't attack anything within 5 sec.)

Because this person is family, it's hard to cut off contact completely. She's a 2nd cousin but her parents and my parents are quite close, so I feel bad just blocking her.
We were best friends as little kids but she moved away when we were about 8, and we didn't reconnect for about 20 years. I have very early memories with her, but she's not someone I'd call a friend. We have nothing in common. She 'reconnected' with me about 3 years ago, although we still live 1,000 miles away.
She typically calls me 4x/week - daily to talk (specifically to rant and vent to me) for 2+ hours if I allow her to. She will call me at work, while I'm sleeping, even after I've told her I'm at work and can't talk, when I've told her I'm sleeping. Conversations revolve around her and her day, the minutiae of her days. She'll moan and complain and pick my brains about her strained relationship with her parents, her dating life, work, literally everything. I've told her no less than a dozen times that she needs to go to a therapist. She claims 'nothing is wrong with me' and refuses.
She is very manipulative and when she knows I've had enough, she'll send me a sheepish text asking about therapy or whatever. Never actually went to a therapist. I told her several times, very directly but kindly, over these last 3 years, that I do not have the time or mental energy to talk to her for hours every week. That we can only talk on X day for 20 min to catch up. She'll call on that day, and then start to call more often, hoping that I'll pick up. She will text me saying she's in a crisis, having a panic attack, etc if I stick to my boundaries of taking her call only on X day for 20 min.
Currently, I'm 36 weeks pregnant and truly have had enough of her. I'm done. I told her about a month ago to STOP calling me period, that I will not accept any of her calls. To text only if there is an emergency, and no one else is available-- I told her I'd contact her parents if she texts me with an emergency. I asked her to please give me space, that I am pregnant, working FT, and that I have a lot going on in my life. I told her that I have serious concerns about continuing to have a relationship with her and that I needed space and time if there is ever any chance for our relationship to be repaired. She obliged for about a week and started calling me again. I put her number on mute. She still calls me a couple of times per week and leaves me voicemails that I don't listen to.
I know she is very likely suffering from some type of undiagnosed mental illness and/or personality disorder. Yet I feel like this doesn't entitle her to use me as her free therapist, to endlessly vent and emotionally dump on me, to continually violate my boundaries. I have tried no less than a dozen times to communicate directly (and kindly) with her. She just barrels through my boundaries and takes advantage of my compassion. At this point, I've grown to be resentful of her and I truly dislike her as a person. I don't know if this is "her" or if these are symptoms of an illness, either way, I cannot stand to even see her name on my phone.
I want to just block her but I am concerned she may hurt herself or do something extremely reckless. I want to contact her parents and tell them I am concerned about her but that I can no longer communicate with her. I think they know she has problems but they may not know to what extent. Yet I fear that this will escalate the situation or that her parents may react poorly.

I do real estate media work for a real estate brokerage. I was hired May 2022 at $50,000 to just do video. I now do all photo, video, graphic design, and our 360 virtual tours with floor plans.
Since my increase in responsibility, I believe I'm well worth a significant raise. The quality of work I offer is miles ahead of what I used to do, and all the old contract media companies have since reached out to me about my processes and how I achieve what I achieve, because it's just simply better.
I'm by no means trying to pump my tires, but I've put my heart and soul into this game and its paid off.
I would love some general advice on how to go about getting a raise as I've never done this before. Someone I met said don't tell them you have other options because that will put them in the offence and be stand off-ish. Another said present them with the reality that I do have other options and to lock me down at a new rate soon or else someone else will.
Any advice is appreciated! I don't want to leave this job, but I know I'm worth more.

Bags I have liked are Gucci Marmonts in black/black or silver. Don't like the price and the cheugyness. APC Grace in greige. I love Mulberry feel, but can only find the small Darley that I love and would be for the evening. Balenciaga Voyou but isn't in store here yet, never seen one. Oh and the Palm Angels bridge bag, also never seen IRL.

There obviously needs to be mental health reform at many levels in the healthcare/mental healthcare/first responder systems in Virginia. We have seen this with Ivor Otieno and other people. Last week, some neighbors and I literally found an intellectually/possibly physically disabled woman with mental health problems yelling, “Help,” on the sidewalk. We got her help and learned that she had been at the hospital, and the hospital chose to call the police to have her thrown out in 30 degree weather. She was only dressed in a shirt and sweatpants, no socks or jacket. She could only say four different words and was incapable of caring for herself, and she was a ‘frequent flier’ according to the EMTs.
For those who feel helpless or want change, I wrote a template for what you can send/say to your legislators. When sharing this message, feel free to alter the language to align with your own voice/experience. Note that it may be helpful to describe instances you have seen that illustrate why a particular change needs to happen.

A young man (Ivor Otieno) with serious mental health conditions being criminalized and killed for his mental health condition in Henrico County; I hope that your office addresses the extreme violence, lack of quality care, and lack of humanity offered to these vulnerable individuals.
Virginia ranks 37th in the nation for access to mental health careMHa. Even when people do make contact with mental health centers or providers, the quality of care in Virginia is subpar.
I urge you and your fellow senators to: • Incentivize more Virginians to enter the mental health field to alleviate the staffing shortage; partially fund mental healthcare provider’s education as long as they contractually agree to work in city/state facilities for the first 5 years post-licensure (similar county programs that already exist to fill county teaching positions).
• Provide adequate funding and resources for mental health programs (increase the amount in the budget)
• Improve the awareness of Medicaid to lower the number of Virginians with a mental illness or cognitive disability who are uninsured
• Create legislation that requires coverage for mental and emotional wellbeing and illnesses from insurance programs
• Increase the number of mental health facilities as well as the number of total psychiatric beds
• Evaluate the state of training provided to mental health professionals, physical health professionals, and first responders regarding intellectual disabilities/developmental disabilities as well as serious mental health conditions
• Create more centers to care for individuals with complex needs, such as having intellectual disabilities and significant mental health disorders
• Make the mental competency and evaluation process for forensic psychiatric patients more efficient to increase the number of beds for non-forensic patients*
▪ Create a workforce to study forensic psychiatric demand and the length of stay for competency services, continuously tracking outcomes to further decrease wait times (Schwermer, 2020; Thompson et al., 2007).

Please help me. I feel like I am losing my mind.
I was asked to drive her to work by 7am but she was still asleep in bed 2 mins before we were supposed to leave.
I got angry because I was doing her a favor (by waking up way earlier than I needed to, and the fact that I had a busy day ahead of me) and felt that she was taking me for granted. She never said thank you for driving her or apologized for being late.
After I woke her up she got angry that I was angry at her which fueled my anger even more.
When we got in the car she said that it was fine for her to be late because I'd been late to work before as well, which was completely missing the point of why I was so upset. She was looking away while she said that, so I swatted the back of her head. She got even more upset.
I still had some self control and it was a tap rather than a slap (her head didn't move when I made contact with it), but I still feel awful for not being able to control my anger.
However, even though I am 100% responsible for my actions, I can't get around to apologizing because I feel that she'll use it to justify herself and her entitlement.

I was asked to drive her to work by 7am but she was still asleep in bed 2 mins before we were supposed to leave.
I got angry because I was doing her a favor (by waking up way earlier than I needed to, and the fact that I had a busy day ahead of me) and felt that she was taking me for granted. She never said thank you for driving her or apologized for being late.
After I woke her up she got angry that I was angry at her which fueled my anger even more.
When we got in the car she said that it was fine for her to be late because I'd been late to work before as well, which was completely missing the point of why I was so upset. She was looking away while she said that, so I swatted the back of her head. She got even more upset.
I still had some self control and it was a tap rather than a slap (her head didn't move when I made contact with it), but I still feel awful for not being able to control my anger.
However, even though I am 100% responsible for my actions, I can't get around to apologizing because I feel that she'll use it to justify herself and her entitlement.

Other than the GitHub, I found very little documentation regarding this so I'm documenting my experience here for others to find if they need it. These are the steps I took to revive two fat PS2s that couldn't read discs without replacing the laser using an Arduino Uno. If you have any info to add, please do as I would like to learn as much about this tool as I can.

- Download PMAP from HERE and extract
- Find the test points for your board revision HERE and solder a wire to Tx, Rx, 3.3v, and GND, then solder a wire from RMC to GND.
- Connect the four test points to corresponding place on the Arduino
- Connect the Arduino to your PC and find the COM port in Device Manager
- In command prompt, navigate to the folder you extracted PMAP to and type PMAP COM[#]
- Type 4 to test the connection. (If it fails, try to swap the Tx and Rx connectors on the Arduino)
- Type 1 for EEPROM Management
- Type 17 for Update EEPROM
- If it asks, choose SONY or SANYO optical block
- For SONY, choose T487 if you have a 400B laser with a white lens. Choose T609K if you have a 400B laser with a yellow lens or 400C laser (I only worked with SONY lasers so I didn't experience the options for SANYO lasers)
- Type N
- Type Y
- After the update, press Ctrl+C and reboot the PS2
- Again, type PMAP COM[#]
- Type 3 for MECHA adjustment
- Type Y
- Type 1 for Adjust mechanics
- Remove the drawer from the PS2 by removing the two screws on the left of the drawer
- Put a single layer DVD on the spindle with the white magnetic clamp removed from the top of the drive (I used Goldeneye 007 for Wii)
- Type SLED HOME
- Type INIT SKEW and wait for the disc to stop spinning
- Type SLED OUT
- Type PLAY 1x
- Type JITTER 256 and hold the enter key for real-time updates
- You will see a HEX output. Slowly turn the white gear at the back of the drive clockwise. There is an acceptable range but you want to get it as close to 0000 as possible anyway.
- When you can't get it any closer to 0000 with the white gear, adjust the black screw on the left of the optical block to try to fine-tune it close to 0000
- Press Ctrl+C and reboot the PS2
- Type PMAP COM[#]
- Reassemble the disc drive, including the top of the drive
- Type 2 for Automatic ELECT Adjustment
- Type Y
- Insert a CD and press enter when prompted (I used Crazy Taxi) (NOTE: These discs must be in good condition) (ALSO NOTE: if this or any of the next two steps fail, it means the laser is too far out of spec and may need to be further tuned in MECHA adjustment or replaced completely)
- Insert single layer DVD and press enter when prompted (I used Kingdom Hearts)
- Insert dual layer DVD and press enter when prompted (I used God of War)
- Exit PMAP and remove your soldered wires. The laser should be calibrated and reading discs again.

Virtus 1. I have heard about a few reliability issues like AC performance, EPC error, rattling noise etc. Have they been addressed by thr company ? 2. How is after sales support in mumbai ? 3. Similar to other manufacturers, are we VW promising road side assistance and how effective that is ?
City 1. Though city in general has been one if the highest recommended manual cars, the CVT has been criticised for lack of power in uphill scenario, high speed overtakes etc. Though my usage will be mainly in city, i do take up occasional mountain trips 2. Ground clearance - while sales person assured me that GC problem is reduced from gen 5 onwards, but 165 mm is still concerning. 3. Tyre size - R15 185 is small in opinion, how is the feedback from those are using city 4. Paint quality - i was surprised to know this about honda cars. I have open parking, so i am specifically concerned about scratches, rusting etc

I've been lurking here for a bit. In short, I'm an INFJ and I hit off with an ISTJ. Everything was progressing so well, we were good as dating, just no labels. He told me he takes time to make a decision, but the open-ended nature gave me intense anxiety so I wanted him to define it or consider being friends so I probed him about us a few times. From the start to now, it's been a little over 2 months. He got back to me saying he likes me but not enough to date, and he's happy to be friends. Ever since then, he's withdrawn and I feel like I've messed up any possibility of us being together. I know I rushed this and in hindsight, I should've been more patient with him. What eats at me is that I have always been the one to take things slow and avoid commitments, but with him, it felt so natural. Thing is, I have fallen for him deeper than I thought and only realised it a few days before our "talk". Is there a way I can fix/ rekindle things or prompt him to explore this again? He's on my mind throughout the day and I'm quite saddened by how things turned out.
Long version: We met through mutual friends and bonded over our mutual love for sheesha/hookah. We have a hefty age gap (10y) which doesn't bother either of us. He asked me out for dinner after a few weeks, and the second time we met, I was over at his until 5 am in the morning talking over sheesha, we opened up to each other about very deep parts of ourselves and it only progressed from there. We're both extremely private and not into casual dating. We both were surprised by the ease and comfort we found in each other and the conversations. Neither of us could remember the last time we could have intellectual conversations with someone for hours on end. I could tell he was really into me and then kissed me a few weeks later (messages "morning ☕️☕️" every morning, texted me throughout the day, talked before bedtime, made plans to hang out, super attentive when I'm around, frequently cute physical touches like pokes and head rubs, started cutting out casual chats with others). I didn't know how ISTJs worked, both my serious relationships in the past were with feelers who jumped in and gave it a shot before things got this far, so when he talked about how he needed time before he chooses to date yet continue to do all the couple things my brain saw red lights ( i may be a bit of a prude) and thought he might not be serious because we literally were doing everything a couple does, just no commitment. I love intensely and leave when not reciprocated, and I told him that. He had made it clear that he doesn't want to waste my time and sees potential here, and that we were indeed progressing, but he needs time. He wants to go in for the long haul if things check out and does not want us to decide 6 months down the line that this isn't it. He apparently has this mental checklist he follows before dating and he's working through it? He's terrified of hurting me.
We were supposed to go on an interstate trip, so the night before I called and told him it was really eating at me for me to hold back from him and a part of me wanted to friendzone/ be friends if nothing will come off this. He said he doesn't want me to hold back but understands if I choose to. He does like me enough to date but wants some time to think about it. I stayed awake that night and decided that while this gives me anxiety, I genuinely like him enough to give this a shot, be patient and see where it goes. I realised I didn't want a long-term relationship yet, I barely knew him (2 months) but the emotions were so intense and things were progressing so fast that I was terrified of being hurt. I casually asked on the trip if he gave it a thought and got a bit frustrated which hurt the INFJ in me so I withdrew. I asked so that I could clarify my position, and that I want us to take our time and not rush in, I realised i was forcing his hand and I might end up pushing him away. But even before the chat, I could sense something was off.
A small excerpt on him: He dated a bit, but only had two serious relationships where he fell in love but got deeply hurt by both. One was during his 20s, and the second one in his 30s, 4y ago (he's 36 now), they talked about getting married but it fell apart. Both were primarily long-distance. He dated a bit after that but nothing came out of them. He works a very head-heavy role and classic ISTJ traits apply, spends a lot of time doing nothing to recharge, tidy to the T, minimalistic, loves his routines, etc.
Fast forward, we return from the trip, I sent a general snap to my friends a few days later asking if they wanted to watch a movie and he got back saying he was in. Before heading home I brought up how he got frustrated on the trip had hurt and he apologised but went quiet when I asked if that was it, so I knew what I feared came true. I got in my car and cried for a bit. He parked a bit further out and messaged "I'm sorry. I really am. Emotionally we are not on the same page at this moment and you really wanted an answer". I met him again and we talked. He said that he craved the feeling of wanting to be with someone all the time and he couldn't commit before then, and while so much checks out between us he didn't feel it with me. I asked when did he know, and he said before the trip but didn't want to ruin it. Mentioned that even though it doesn't look like it, saying this makes him sad/hurt because I'm hurt. Then I asked if we stay as friends. He's like yes if that's ok with me and he loves the connection here and doesn't want to ruin it. We talked about boundaries (i don't do physical affection well and don't really hug my guy friends much), he's like hugs are fine, they're pretty standard, doesn't bother me. We agreed to talk more 2 days later when we meet for our regular sheesha session.

I almost wrote him a long letter (how I express the best) to get closure and explain my side before asking if we can give it another shot. I scrapped that idea (i still want to do it lol). So I apologised in person for pushing him and I'm ok with being friends, if something develops between us then it does and if we can scrap the last few weeks, he's agreed but asked why scrap those times, it's a part of our journey. I asked why has he withdrawn, he was like he hasn't, then admitted that he doesn't want to give the wrong impression or make me/others think he is playing with me.
We still meet often, every 2-3 days, some of the plans he initiates some I do, but it's all very platonic and he is still withdrawn. I don't want to read into it, but I am assuming he's just being friendly. He gives me tight hugs before we bid goodnight but that's about it. No morning messages with coffee emojis and when I do give them, he texts back without them.
As an INFJ, I can date but I only commit and give it my all when I feel a sense of wanting that person all the time too. Not the initial infatuation, but the deep sense of peace and being at home with them, but that often takes time to develop. I feel that the rush of emotions he's craving may have happened before because of the geological distance between his past partners, they couldn't meet so the excitement was always high. We meet often and I had always made time for him, so there's no real anticipation because we know we'll meet soon.
I'm sorry for the long post, but every time I think about us I end up in tears. Whenever we meet, I am reminded of what could've been. I miss the old him and I don't know what to do. I don't feel sorry for the way I felt or wanting an answer for my mental peace, but I do regret pushing him to make a decision. I don't if I fell in love with him, but I feel so much and we got along so well it felt like a dream. Greetings, so i have been looking for a community like this to maybe help me find an answer on a behavior. I am a man on my way to the mid 20s if this might be relevant. Few years ago i was friends with a girl who's 2 uears younger than me, we were bestfriends for a while, nearly everyone thought we were a couple, but we weren't and i did not seek any romantic relationship with that girl at that time, changements happened in my life (good changements) and she kinda became boring to me, little by little we stopped meeting, then we stopped talking, but there was no big fight or anything, except for some bad vibes or bad tensions, a year later i reached out to her and i wanted to have back the friendship we had before, changements happened to her in that year too, and it was kinda emotional when we texted, and then we met and kept hanging out for few days during the holidays, but after the holidays she went back to the city she studies in so the only communication we can have is texting, she started not responding, i'd msg her for days and she doesn't reply (which is not typical for me to give that much attention to a person, of they don't respond i usually leave them) fast forward to a couple of months later, we started talking again, summer break is around the corner, we had plans to meet when she comes back during the summer, just before she comes back, i realized that now i am not seeking a friendship, and that i actually fell in love with her, i sent her a text telling her that i was in love with her, and that if she doesn't want a relationship it's totally fine staying just friends, she told me that we will discuss the matter in person when she comes back and that she has a saying in the subject, and that it's gonna be a "positive" outcome, indicating to me, and to everyone that read the message that she's down for a relationship, when we met she didn't bring the subject, we went for a coffee and then for a walk, i decided to bring the subject up, she answered that she was not ready for a relationship, and i assured her that it's fine by me, we kept hanging out daily after that, and by the end of the summer she went back to not responding to text but i see the active status and i see that she posts stuff online and she comments and responds.to comments and all, but totally ignoring me eventho when we met I mention that i didn't like her previous behavior of not responding to my texts and asked for an explanation she simply said she doesn't have the energy sometimes to respond, i asked her to simply reply by saying i cannot talk now i will msg you another time, she agreed on that but as i said a few weeks later she went back to ghosting and ignoring me Then, she reached out when I posted on instagram that she tried to call me but i never answered so she fogured out that "i don't have the energy" and she gave me "space", i replied that i never got a call from her, she ended up making a story of calling a wrong number (a number that i had years ago but i lost it) which was not believable since we used to call eachother and she knows my new number, i followed up by asking why she did not respond to my texts which shows that i did not need any space even of she thought so, she became defensive and then she went back to not replying, i kept messaging for months (again this is not typical for me, i don't do thst with anyone else but it's weird how i got obsessed with her), a year passes, she reaches out again when she's in town, i agreed to meet her (by that time i thought all the emotions were gone and i don't care anymore) we met a few times over the summer, but again after a while she stopped replying, i stopped messaging after the 2nd msg i send without getting a reply thinking i don't care, but as the time passes i become more obsessed with her and i want her to get back to me even as friends.. She sees all my stories, eventually she likes some of the posts i make, I poste about a car accident i had, she msged me to ask about it, i said i was fine and thanked her, she did not even open the msg, a while after she shared a video i made on her story and tagged me, i replied with "thank you", she leaves me on seen (i expected atleast a reaction on my msg, maybe a like or smthg) But with all this, with all the mental damage i had to face when she first started ignoring me, and overcoming it, i keep thinking about her a lot, i keep wanting her to msgs me and get things back etc.. I generally don't get attached to people this way, but her, she is an exception.. why do i keep thinking about her all the time, why do i get happy when i see a notification of a like from her, why do i keep checking who viewed my stories and get happy when i see that she did, and can her behavior be considered as a manipulation? Am i under some sort of mental manipulation? If someone can explain the behavior of both me and her it would give me some answers on what i should do and how i should treat myself and the situation.. Sorry for the long post but i really need someone to know these details and help me explain my behavior and her behavior.

(not killing ethereum)The Solana network was & continues to be one of the most exciting innovations in the space due to its heavy dedication to the technological elements of its design. 👨💻 The Technical Specs 👨💻➡ Monolithic Architecture Monolithic software architecture in blockchain means that all major operational activity; transaction execution, data storage/availability, and consensus, is condensed into a single endpoint; the chain itself. This design brings its own set of tradeoffs including better prospective value propositions for the native asset due to strong utility ties between the token<->network (NFA), while hindering its potential to be flexible. {Great resource on blockchain software architecture here}Examples of another crypto with Monothlic architecture: Bitcoin (BTC). ➡ POH (Proof-Of-History) Proof-Of-History is a novel tweak to the POS consensus model through the implementation of time as a module. Technically, Proof of History happens before state consensus is reached by allowing block producers the ability to submit blocks & organize/confirm them later. This is made possible by a combination of two things, 1) the application of pBFT + VDF (verifiable delay functions) & 2) the Clustering of consensus nodes (rather than 1 node doing all the work, on Solana, there are clusters of 25 nodes that are batching tx’s for consensus at any given time). If a network only has 1 software client, and if for any reason that client has a bug, then the whole network is at risk. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does reduce the network's credibility in terms of decentralization.➡ Was endorsed by (SBF) & FTX; As basically everybody in the world knows, Sam-Bankman Fried was the single biggest supporter of the Solana network. Actually recorded saying “Sell me all of your Solana & then Fuck off” as well as injecting hundreds of millions of dollars into the project; the once heroic supporter has now become the sh*tstain across the windshield of Solana’s life. ➡ Suffers from Outages The single biggest hurdle that keeps on messing with the project. This is not a small issue, if outages happen while people have money on the network, real-life problems occur. I'm very shy and very out of practice (got out of a 25 year marriage) and would like to practice as if I'm meeting and getting to know her better. Prompts I've tried in got 3.5 keep using the "as an AI" phrase or breaking down after 3-4 back and forth messages.
