Hi all, about 3 years ago, I had a MacBook Pro 15" with TouchBar (from 2016, taken used), I practically kept it as a desktop PC, every now and then I carried it around. After about a year of life, it started giving problems with the battery, I took it to be repaired (to a non-apple center) but they broke it even more, a screen came out with (Critical Software Update), and from that moment there was nothing more to do, my macbook broke like this.
Honestly, I'd be a little afraid of getting a new MacBook Pro, given what happened to my old MacBook, let's say that sometimes I need mobility, but not always, and I'd also be afraid of the battery, since MacBooks are more fragile.
So I thought of a Mac Studio with M2 Max, 32GB of Ram and 1TB SSD.

I've heard that the new 14' and 16' Macbook Pros have a system that automatically switches to power at a certain percentage of battery charge, without charging the battery, but I still don't understand how this mechanism works, so you could also use as a desktop pc, at least having a single solution?
Always with M2 Max, 32GB of Ram and 1TB SSD.

I have the files I work on all on the NAS, not the hard drive, so I'm connecting to my own server, so I was thinking of working remotely over the internet on the Mac Studio using remote connection software, with a windows laptop if I'm away from home, do you think this option is feasible? or connect with the macbook pro to the nas always via the internet, if I'm away from home

Right now I have a Noctua-DH15 - but I am a bit hesitant with the air cooler for 2 reasons:
Space being taken - have read that the airflow restriction can create some hotspots due to poor air circulation
Travel - I am kind of mobile with work, so the plan is to make this able to be placed in my carry on luggage and remove the GPU when flying.

Machine Overview: Ender 3 Pro with SKR Mini E3 v2.0 with BLTouch acting as Z-Stop.
Problem: G28 does not deploy the probe before checking the Z-Axis. This does not happen every time. Restarting my Printer and the Pi doesn't seem to matter. I have seen it work correctly after boot and incorrectly. All the testing outlined in https://www.klipper3d.org/BLTouch.html works as expected (can manually stow/deploy the probe and QUERY_PROBE works). As you can see from the commented out sections of the printer.cfg below I have tried a handful a different BLTouch configurations based on different reddit posts, but none have seem to work consistently.

I am struggling to decide between getting a 750 W PSU and an 850 W PSU. Every wattage simulation that I have ran suggests that the build will require less than 650 W. Is a 750 W PSU sufficient? It just seems like not enough wattage to me.

I can't seem to find a proper answer for this but, if I don't activate Ranked do I still play with ranked players? Or do I play with other non-ranked players? Do I get easier Lobbies if I play unranked?
Ever since Ranked was introduced, I've been performing a lot better and encountering more bots and/"noobs" and winning quite often (for comparison, I won around 6 times this week, but before ranked was a thing, I only won 3 times the whole season).
I hate playing against pro sweats that one tap me before I can even react, it's not fun to me, so I love that I've been getting easier lobbies since Ranked update cause I can actually have constant fun now. But my friend says that activating Ranked mode makes no difference and that I still play against Ranked players, having it deactivated just makes me no get Rank points and that I get bots cause I haven't played for a week or two.
But I keep seeing posts saying that Ranked mode is a lot harder than non-Ranked mode and that it has very few bots in Ranked and all that.
Which is it?
Does playing non-Ranked make no difference, or does it put me with weaker players and bots?

Hello, here's my story with Corsair headsets (HS70 Pro and my current headset HS55)
I bought my previous headset HS70 Pro in October 2020 and got about a year out of them before the small little plastic clip thing broke off when just picking them up. Battery also completely gone by that time. No big deal, 2 birds with 1 stone. Corsair has good warranty so they sent me a new pair. Had to wait 3 weeks for this.
10 months go by and the battery is completely dead on the replacements as well, max 10 minutes battery life. Hold off for a while and suffer but eventually take them to warranty AGAIN. Waiting for another 3 weeks. This time they decide they refund me and offer credit for the headset. Sounds good as i need a new pair. I liked Corsair so i went with what was in my budget range and bought HS55s. (120eur).
So far i've had them for less than two months. Here's the pile of problems:
1) The mic is non-attachable so when you push it up it's supposed to mute and when you bring it back down, it unmutes. Obviously this works only for about 20% of the time. Usually it doesn't unmute the mic so only restarting the headset works.
2) Applications like Discord consistently do not recognize the microphone, which has never been an issue before in my life. Games also, mic just decides to not work for no reason. It appears to be related to the permanently attached microphone that's always confused if to work or not to work.
3) Strong electric buzzing sound when the headset is charging with the cable from the PC. Makes them unusable for the duration unless you love migraines.
4) Frustrating connectivity issues ALL THE TIME. ICUE doesn't recognize the device. Bugs out with every other update. Device doesn't work when you have the dongle and cable connected sometimes. Says "Out of range or not connected" or something like that. I can't even check what it says as the ICUE doesn't see the device as i type this.
While good customer support and warranty claims are likeable, i can't look past the cheap Chinese build quality and endless issues that come with it. I have done endless ICUE reinstalls and cleans, all the troubleshooting and driver reinstalls and a million other things that Corsair recommends and i'm done with it. I didn't pay for the headphones to practice being tech-support for myself for hours each week. I wish i could get a refund at this point.

Putting my KQi3 Pro into lock mode does this:

• two red lights on the screen
• front ring light is on
• rear light is on

After a short period, it beeps, turns everything OFF for a second, turns on again emitting a 5 second string of beeping, then returns to the Lock Mode described above.
Rinse and repeat.
Is this normal?
I just want it locked, but everything off until someone touches the button.
UPDATE: I upgraded to the latest firmware. It's been less than an hour, but this issue no longer occurs. I just put the scooter into lock mode and turn it off; it stays off.

Hi all, I bought new hardware to build my actual PC.
The components are an i5 12400F, with 16GB Ram Kingston 3200mhz, and a Gigabyte B760M DSH3 DDR4. With an Samsung SSD m.4 Nvme, a GTX1060, and a 600W Power Supply from my old Setup.
1st "weird" thing, was that, after all being mounted, i turn on the PC to access the Bios, and the PC turn on the lights, but doesn't turn on the system to Bios. After many attempts, around 20/30mins trying, he turned on. I access the bios, reboot, and the PC, went to Windows as usual but that comes the strange part........... the SSD with Windows, was the SSD from my old PC (not formatted - he was the Windows from last setup and devices)... lol Is supposed a system turn on "normally", when the SSD/HDD, was the one used on a total different machine without formatting ??
PS: Obviously, after that first "wrong" boot, I formatted, and put a new Windows Fresh installation.
Besides that, one of the main issues is that, the CPU Fan as a LOT RPM spikes - Ramp UP / DOWN Randomly like crazy, even with PC on IDLE - or very low usage, - just being on windows, opening folder's or something. I supposed (from my experience) that its not normal at all - with my old Setup and a very weaker CPU - an i5 9400F - that was never happened.

- First of all, the CPU FAN work like the CPU was always on high usage. By itself, the Fan rotates at High RPM's, but its absolutely instable... its at 1500/1600RPM's, and by nothing, ramp up to 2000/2200/2500RPM'S, and many times to 3000/3200RPM's, with no reason... since i'm not playing games or even using high CPU usage software - only using windows or browsing. Apart this, i've already have set a smooth Fan Curve on Bios, since with the Standard CPU Fan curve, its simply horrible and worts. Its was like, being at side of a airplane. Anyway, even after setup the Fan curve on Bios, the Fan it acts like crazy. It is a little smoother now, but even so its too noticeable the Fan ramping UP and Down with no reason. The Fan looks like exactly a F1 motor speeding lol, rarely the Fan stays on "IDLE" RPM's, with the PC/System also on IDLE. Looks like the SensoFan, doesn't match with the CPU Load's. Many (many) times, i have the PC turned On, but i was not at the PC ( just sitted near the PC or something), and i hear the Fan Ramping Up and Down, like i was using the PC "heavily"... But the PC is IDLE, with nothing opened.... and i am not even touching the PC... lol

- The 2nd problem, is that when i have the PC on Idle, or with very low usage (one more time) sometime the CPU usage easily went to 40/50/60% (and this happens all day, and many times). I've check the Task manager, and are always different processes "using" the CPU... But, i have the exact same CPU usage, that i have with the 9400F, and with this one i Never had this kind of issues, and this CPU is half powerful compared to this new 12400F. So... Being the 12400F Twice powerful, should be expected that the CPU make (a lot) less effort and have less CPU usage? that was not happening. Most weird... is that if i was in a game, its works "normal". Obviously, on game its supposed the FAN and CPU be in use... so maybe i doesn't notice anything abnormal, but the Game runs normally. The main issue, is when the system is on IDLE, or with very/or none usage, the CPU and FAN acts like crazy.
I do feel, that something is wrong. But i don't know and can't find what. I lost dozen of hours testing, searching online to answer's, and i can't find anything. I've updated the Bios to last firmware version, I've contacted Intel (they told me that they could send me a new cooler lol - but that does not solve the problem, since its not only a Fan problem ), I've contacted Gigabyte explain the issues, and i only get and answer telling to use the warranty. They don't answer to any of my questions, so i returned to the 1point... What is causing all this ? Its the MOBO damaged? It's the MOBO that performs Bad by itself ? It's the CPU ? Cooler ? In fact, i have few more days, to i could send back this hardware to the store and they refund me or send me replace parts. I could also be refunded and choose to buy new pieces. But I NEED to know which part is causing problems, so i don't make the same error again, and bought Hardware with bad performance issues.
The only conclusion i take, is that the Motherboard has issues with voltage/VRM or something, and its sending wrong commands and information's to system, causing high Fan RPM's, and weird CPU usage with no reason. Or maybe the CPU is damaged.... But from all the software that i use to test the CPU, every test concludes that the CPU is fine.
TBH, in many years, is my 1st Gigabyte Motherboard, and i am nothing impressed with this board. Has Heatsink in Half VRM's, has a heatsink for the SSD, but the Bios is just horrible. Super slow, confusing options, etc. This Gigabyte B760M DSH3 DDR4 motherboard/BIOS, is 10 times worst compared with my old (super low end) H310M PRO-M2 PLUS. Sorry to Gigabyte Fan's, and could be just placebo effect, but honestly i was not very impressed with the Board, and i feel that this board is not stable. Although I have an Gigabyte GTX1060, and i have nothing to say against, it performs super Good. Maybe just Gigabyte, it's not great to made low/mid end Motherboards.
PS: I forget to mention, that many times i see the task manager and i have always tasks at "very high energy consumption" even with low cpu task, or PC almost non being used. And sometimes i feel the system crashing/freezing, its a very quick freeze, but i notice. Also using the mouse, many times i click on anything, and does not work, like if the mouse is missing. But its a brand new Razer mouse, and I've i also tried with different mice, and happens the same, so obviously its not the mouse. This is one more symptom that tells me that just could be a Faulty motherboard or CPU.
If i am using a task/program heavily its normal that the CPU usage and Energy consumption goes up, its the way it works and should be. But im getting heavy CPU/Energy Usage, and High Fan RPM's with no Reason, even with the PC on total IDLE, and even sometimes, im not even using the PC and the FAN starts spinning High, and i went to check task manager, and have any task with very high usage. Looks Like this CPU/System, is reaching the Max/very high CPU usage all the time, with no explainable reason.
Windows fresh install. No Virus, no spyware, no running background programs. Just random High CPU usage, total Random Fan RPM's Speed causing a lot noise (of course), and always task's with very high energy consumption with no reason. I'm comparing the performance , behaviour and CPU/Energy usage, to my last setup with i5 9400F (with half Ram - 8GB 2400mhz on 9400f system, instead of 16GB 3200mhz that i have now), and i don't remember to have any of this issues in 3years. For a new and better Setup, is not working like is supposed. Not telling, that on Windows/Browsing/Programs, i can't notice any better performance or improvement between the 2 - what is expected to have and notice. Just in game, yes, i do feel a performance upgrade. But in all around tasks on windows no. That fact put me in doubt about if the Setup is truly working as is supposed, and I'm sure its not. Just a "detail": even a simple reboot were faster on my old Setup ( yeah, i've already turned on FastBoot on BIOS, with no differences). I don't know what to think.
I appreciate, any help and ideas from what could be the cause of this. So I can ask to Replace the part's for the same model's, OR, choose to buy different Motherboard and CPU, that fits my Budget. I'm not a heavy gamer, just play CS:GO, and one or other game casually. I mainly use the PC to browsing, and working. Sometimes i need to have few tabs open to work with. I don't need high end Hardware... Just Hardware that works good, like it is supposed. Its awkward, but i Upgraded to a twice better system
Sorry for the long text, but i've spend dozen of hours testing, searching, reading everything about this ( i also have IT experience ), and i've got no conclusion. And last me only few days to decide what to do... ask for replace the part's, or ask for refund and buy another parts.

My V3 Pro is pointed at a dock. When the water is smooth with a light breeze, the smart focus / motion tracking (green rectangle) goes crazy (flashes a lot and jumps around). There's an obvious button to toggle Smart Focus on and off but this doesn't seem to have an effect.
Edit: The camera has the latest firmware update (done today, June 9, 2023).

What's going on?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is likely a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface, even if they're not affected now.
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.

What's the plan?

On June 12th, over 3000 subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy, /ActiveWorlds among them. Some will return on the 14th, while others will go away indefinitely unless the issue is adequately addressed. We have yet to make that decision.
The blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.

What can you do as a user?

• Complain. Message the mods of /reddit.com, who are the admins of the site; message reddit; submit a support request; comment in relevant threads on /reddit, such as this one; leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app; and sign your username in support to this post.
  
• Spread the word. Grab a pitchfork and rabble-rouse on subreddits related to the cause. Meme it up, make it spicy. Check if other subreddits you frequent are participating and if you know anyone who moderates a subreddit tell them to join the coordinated mod effort at /ModCoord.
  
• Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely starting on June 12th— instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!
  
• Don't be a jerk. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible.

• Make a sticky post showing your support, A template has been created here you can use or modify to your liking, and be sure to crosspost it to /ModCoord.
