I've worked in the IT department for different school districts and I've always had a feeling that the Directors or higher-ups were getting something for doing business with some of our vendors, but I've never actually seen much. The director at one of my former districts was taken to a LA Kings game in a box suite with a buffet once, but that is all I ever heard about.
At my current District, we just hired a new Director of IT. We are switching to all new Meraki gear and he and the lead systems engineer (that he just brought over from his former District) spent an entire week in Las Vegas at the Cisco Live event. I have never had any former director ever attend this event and I am worried that something is going on. I don't want to out my Director or cause a huge ruckus if this is a standard practice. Anyone have any experience with this or ideas on how I should handle this?

I'm sure we've all thought it before: Phoenix is supposed to be a fierce opponent but since we play as him we get to see all his insecurities and asides. So I spent the last couple days editing the DL-6 case to remove those asides! No inner monologue, no help from Maya or Mia--basically, the court proceedings as the prosecutor, judge, or gallery would see them. I had to just about entirely redo the music and SFX so it would sound fluid together. Looking at the case this way shows how much of a fast-thinker Phoenix really is and how insane his bluffing becomes.

Hey y’all! I recently got hired as a VBA LAS GS-7 (remote) on 6/5/23 and have already onboarded and I am on my first week of training. I recently received another job offer for Secretary OA GS-9 with the Department of the Army. This is my first time as a federal employee so I am unsure as to how people handle leaving a job for another especially when one has just started. Thanks for any advice given.

I'll need to write up some stuff from the visits to Six Flags Great Adventure and Nick Universe (American Dream) later, despite those being the earlier stops.
Today's visit to Coney Island was one of the reasons for this NYC trip. Amazing area. Really enjoyed myself.
Let's start off with the Zamperla operated Luna Park attractions -

• TICKLER -- The standard spinning wild mouse layout. Nothing notable, a bit jarring in spots. IMO Zamperla should seriously consider upgrading this to one of their newer models if the CP Wild Mouse is anything to go by.
  
• STEEPLECHASE -- That launch seriously packs a punch. Best of the Zamperla-built coasters here by far. Not too rough, but not perfectly smooth. Restraints are also more uncomfortable than I remembered from when I rode Pony Express at Knotts a while back.
  
• SOARIN' EAGLE -- Ugh. Ow. Volare. Why?
  
• THUNDERBOLT -- I had read someone say this thing rode like a "shopping cart with square wheels" (might have been noxegon but not sure) but holy crap... What the hell did they do wrong that it rattles so much on straight track? The track profile isn't bad in the mostly straight sections & loop, but every turn, roll, etc. felt like it had been designed section by section with no proper transitioning/smoothing.
  
• CYCLONE -- The one and only. A true historical marker. The trains are so unique. Cramped and small seating, but comfortably cushioned. Seems it is time for some more significant trackwork though, it was honestly a bit rougher than I was expecting. It wasn't unbearable, but it wasn't great. Still the king of the Coney coasters, amazing laterals, decent airtime in spots.
  

Did a few other flats (the DiskO, the super Air Race, the tower swing) as well. Got the money's worth out of the wristband at least. Oh, speaking of which, it's kinda dumb that those are timed for 4 hours from time of redemption...
Now, for Deno's. First off, galacticsounds is the nicest person. Thank you again so much for meeting with me and my friend for a bit. I hope for all the best for you and the park this summer.

• THE WONDER WHEEL -- Amazing. For as old as it is, it's an amazing experience. Loved the ride in the swinging cars.
  
• PHOENIX -- aka the rollercoaster that rose from one of the coolest posts ever on rollercoasters -- How Vekoma crammed so much track into this plot is amazing. Smooth. Got 3 rides in. Back has some whippy bites. Front has spectacular views. DJ, congrats on having such a spectacular coaster (as I said in person, for it's size) and thank you for actively showing off so much of the process to the sub.
  

I also did the Spook-a-rama. I'm not a haunted house fan. I'm not a jumpscare fan. I did this anyway since I had heard about it. Never again. Not because it's a bad ride, but because I am a chicken and this was not something I enjoyed. Great to see the park keeping the oldest attractions running regardless.
EVERYONE SHOULD GO AND SUPPORT DENO'S!!!

Work at a restaurant on Las Vegas strip as food runner and this is about what I make, just wondering if this is comparable to anywhere else in the country or if this is just a vegas thing

I know this isn’t how things usually work on here, but I’m looking for a woman who wants to be bred, get pregnant, have the baby, but who doesn’t want to raise it or be involved in any way. Maybe you want to be a surrogate and help someone build a family, maybe you want all the attention that comes with being a pregnant woman. I don’t know your reasons, and I don’t really care. I want to be a single father. I have for as long as I can remember. I have a strong support system of family friends, and I make enough money to provide a good, stable home.
On the more sexual side, for those that are interested, I’m 37, white, 6 feet tall, a little overweight but getting in better shape. I have brown hair and blue eyes and I’m 7 inches and uncut. I’m bi, so open to couples, and race doesn’t matter to me.

I really want Bam to be okay. I grew up with CKY and he's a good dude, just like Steve-O.
I think we need to accept Bam CAN'T get clean and thats okay. Sobriety is not for everyone. But what if we can support him and get him to take responsibility and accept some drug use and drinking? It's what's best for 'Bam' and also for Nikki. And what about Phoenix? He needs his father.
Who knows, maybe one day he'll tire of the 'sauce', but for now he needs it. His friends should support him no matter what and I am here for him too. For now, let him use, maybe he'll get things figured out. As people age, they mature, the party life loses its luster.
I get this seems unorthodox, but he won't clean. We all know that. You CAN be happy and healthy and still use. I've seen it. So let's make the best of the situation and support Bam. Leaving him in his time of need is not the answer.

I made it into WT4 at level 62 on my Rogue. I’m not using a copy/paste meta build but I feel like it’s doing pretty well. I attempted doing some 21 NM dungeons and immediately realized how much harder it was. I smashed my head against it for a while, not completing very many of them, and then hopped back to WT3 to run some 20s. I bounced back and forth from WT3 to 4 running 20s and 21s and now I’m at level 66. 20s have basically become effortless, even when things get really hairy and I make a mistake, it’s still easy to avoid death. However, 21s are still punishing me. I commonly get one shot by certain monsters, it’s taking much longer to kill monsters, and I’m rarely finishing the runs.
The only noted difference between WT3 and 4 as far as monster strength is supposedly 20% increase to ignoring resistances. There’s also an additional affix they get in WT4, but I was careful choosing only the sigils with affixes that weren’t too concerning, and when doing the level 20 sigils I would pick difficult affixes and still have no issues. I’d also use consumables in the 21s and nothing in the 20s.
All of this leads me to think there’s more going on than just a 20% increase in monsters ignoring resistances. This is only a 1 level gap in NM dungeons, but the difficulty difference is huge. Is there more going on in WT4 that isn’t specified? I can’t find any info on it looking online. Also, when monsters are a certain amount of levels higher than you, do they gain any sort of extra damage or defense from you? From what I’ve heard if you’re much higher in level than they are, there’s penalties towards XP gain, but does it work the other way where there are penalties if you’re much lower?
I’m just finding it hard to believe how much more punishing 20 to 21 is, unless there’s more about the difficulty increase that’s not mentioned in game. Anyone know?
